Chapter 1
Road to Kagutsuchi- A Week Before the Joint Tournament between the kingdoms of Remnant and the city states of Novus Orbis Librarium.
He was minding his own business, when suddenly, an orange haired man with a black hat and ugly eyelashes walked in front of him.
"Do you have some kind of business with me?" Said Ragna in an unfriendly tone.
"You look different from the wanted poster. Someone needs to fire the artist. And then you should sue them." Said ugly eyelashes, spinning his cane.
Ragna looked behind him. A girl with half pink and half brown hair stands behind him with a grin.
Ragna: "Vigilantes? Library's goons?"
Ugly eyelashes: "What? I'm insulted. For you to mistake me for-"
Ragna: "If you people are not vigilantes or from the Library, then get out of my face."
Ugly eyelashes: "I heard you have a grudge against the Library."
Ragna ignored him and walked past him. Torchwick immediately turned and putted his hand on Ragna's shoulder.
"Get your hand off me. This is your only warning."
"Come on, maybe we could help each-"
Torchwick didn't even finish his sentence before he was sent flying through the air. Neo's face turns to anger and she swung her umbrella at him, only to have Ragna grabbed it.
"You need to rethink this carefully, girl." Said Ragna with a cold voice.
But suddenly, the girl shattered like glass! And Ragna was suddenly hit on the back of his head, it stunned and confused him for a moment, and the girl appeared before him and started to attacking him viciously. Annoyed, Ragna swung his sword at her, but the moment the sword hit her, she just shattered like before and hits Ragna in the face from a different angle.
"What the hell?!"
Ragna turned and swung his sword at the girl again, but she just shattered again, and then something stabded him in the back! Fortunately, Ragna's jacket and aura are strong enough that whatever knife she was using didn't completely stab through.
"You Are Pissing Me Off!" Roared Ragan as he lifted his sword with both hands and slammed it into the ground!
Boom!
Neo retreated a few steps, but found herself inside a dust storm, the impact created a smokescreen!
"Now we both don't know where the other is."
Neo looks around nervously, when she heard something from her left, she immediately swung her umbrella, only to feel something grabbed the back of her head, lifting her off the ground, and then slammed her face into the ground - only to be picked up again by the throat and with a big sword pointing at her.
"I don't know who the hell you people are, but this is your last warning. Stay out of my business!"
Neo ignores the warning and kneed Ragan in the elbow, but rather than dropping her, Ragna instead tightening his grip, and Neo begins to choke.
"Bad move, girl." Said Ranga with a cold voice.
?: "I agree."
Ragna turned and threw Neo towards the voice. When the dust cleared, three more people appeared, with Neo beside them, lying on the ground.
"More of you freaks?" 'And why is the Azure Grimoire shaking?' Thought Ragan as he trying to calm his right hand down.
"Speak for yourself, spiky." Said the silver haired man on the right.
"His right arm, prosthetic?" Said the dark skinned, green haired woman on the left.
"Must be." Answered the silver haired man.
"I must say, you look a lot better than that poster." Said the black haired woman, showing him his wanted poster, and then turning the poster into ash.
"Nice trick. Must be popular at parties. You people friends with that-" Ragna looks to Torchwick, twitching on the ground, with a clear broken jaw. "Clown?"
Black hair woman: "Business partner, you could say. In which, I was hoping we could-"
"Fuck off."
Green hair woman: "Didn't your mommy teach you any manners?"
"You are like a wild dog, perhaps you'd like to be tamed?" After she said that, the sky started to change. It was twilight with an orange sky before, but now it's dark and looks like it's about to rain.
My right hand, the Azure Grimoire is shaking. No it's… resonating, with… Ragna looks at the black haired woman in the middle.
Her.
Numerous glass spears launches towards Ragna, which he manages to destroy with a few swings of his sword.
"Don't interfere, I'd like to tame this dog myself." Said the black haired woman to the other two.
"Who're you calling a dog, bitch?!"
"Oh I'm going to enjoy breaking you."
"Blazblue, Activate!" Commands Ragna as he raises his hand to his face, the red gate on the back of his hand opened and dark energy begins to poured out and surround him.
Cinder only now notices, Ragna's wounds, inflicted by Neo, has healed.
Cinder: "That's some powerful aura. But I have the power of a Maiden!"
Ragna raises an eyebrow. "What does being a maiden have anything to do with anything?"
The silver haired man snickers and the green haired girl elbows him on the side.
Fire rains down on Ragna, but he manages to avoid a direct hit by cutting and destroying the fire with his sword. After the fire stopped, with a burst of speed, Ragna closes the distance in a single breath with his sword raised high.
CARNAGE SCISSORS!
"What?!" Cinder said shockingly as she flies back. Emerald and Mercury also jump backwards.
'He's fast!' thought Cinder as she flew back tires to break off Ragna's pursuit. Cinder shoots more fire at him, but Ragna doesn't block the fire this time and instead just adsorbs the flame and ignore the burns and then swings his sword at her. Without a choice, Cinder created a glass shield to block Ragna, but Ragna stopped in front of the shield, jumps over the glass shield and spins in the air, his weapon changing into a scythe-
BLOOD SCYTHE!
But at that moment a great concentration of aura appears and stop Ragna's scythe, and then…
BOOM!
Ragna was send flying until he twisted his body in mid air and landed on his feet with his sword stabbed into the ground.
'What the hell?' Thought Ragna. 'How is she able to withstand the Azure Grimoire?'
It was the same with Cinder.
'I have to create an explosion to force him to back down! How is he so powerful? I may not have the full power of a Maiden, but still!'
Looking at him, she notices something, the wounds on his face that was caused by the explosion have begun to heal. It was then that she saw it, all the grass around Ragna have withered away. His power… so that's why they call him the Grim Reaper. If that wasn't shocking enough, suddenly, Ragna disappeared.
"What?! Where did he go?" Cinder turns to Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black who were to the left and right of Ragna. "Did you see?"
Mercury: "No, I was watching him closely, but he just… vanished…"
Emerald: "A teleportation Semblance? Or maybe he is like Neo? Or me?"
Damn! Ragna the Bloodedge, the wild card. For the plan to succeed, I needed him to either to join us, or out of the picture.
Unknown location
"What? Where-"
Ragna was confused, one moment he was fighting that black hair woman, and now he's in some garden.
?: "You're welcome."
"Rabbit." Said Ragna without even turning his head.
He should have known. Siting on top of a cloth on the ground under a tree, sipping on a cup of tea is Rachel Alucard, head of the Alucard clan.
"Oh? Not even a thank you?" Asked Rachel.
"I didn't need or asked for your help."
"How ungrateful! Princess, why do we even bother with this ruffian?" Said Nago the giant fat black cat behind Rachel.
"Want me to zap him? Princess?" Said Gii the fat red cartoon bat flying beside Rachel.
Ragna: "Shut up, you ugly stuffed dolls."
Nago: "He just called us ugly dolls!
Gii: "Princess! Send George after him! He'll go low, I'll go high!"
Rachel: "They are not dolls, they are familiars."
Gii: "Princess, you didn't object to the ugly-"
Rachel: "Silence!"
Nago & Gii: "Yes princess!"
Rachel: "Back to business, if I haven't teleported you away, you would have been killed."
Ragna: "What? I admit our powers were equally matched-"
Rachel: "Her power wasn't killing her."
Ragna went silent.
Ragna: "So who… what is she? Her magic is too powerful to be Ars Magus. Sorcery?"
Rachel: "No, her power is more… primal. Like you, her powers do not belong to her, but unlike you, it doesn't want her dead."
Rachel takes another sip of tea.
Rachel: "Let me tell you how the fight will end. Like a moron you will keep drawing more and more power from the Azure Grimoire to match hers, until the Azure Grimoire finally kills you."
Ragna: "I know what I'm doing!"
Rachel: "Do you remember what Jubei told you?"
That this power isn't mine, never make the mistake of thinking that the Azure Grimoire is my power.

"Carry them back." Ordered Cinder Fall.
"Do we have to? I mean the ice cream girl I can understand, but do we really need this loser?" Complained Mercury, rubbing the button of his boot on Torchwick's back.
"We are strangers in this land. We need allies. And Neo will only obey that "loser"." Said Cinder.
Mercury: "Then maybe we should have taken that snake eyes freak's offer."
"That man cannot be trusted. I can't explain it, but there's something really wrong with him."
At first glance, you'd think that he was just another Torchwick, but that Kazama Kval is something else… Torchwick is easy to understand, he is as he said, a survivalist, but Kazama… he is… not right. Not only that, her Maiden power sometime violently pulses when he's around.
"He did give us the information about this "grim reaper". What should we do-" Asked Emerald.
"Enough!"
In anger, Cinder melted the ground beneath her! Mercury and Emerald looks at each other, and immediately pick up Neo and Torchwick.
'Kazama Kval… I may have no choice but to turn to him now.' thought Cinder. 'Curse that Ozpin! If only he didn't suddenly change the location of the Vytal Festival Tournament and move the Fall Maiden's body! All that planing, all for nothing! The Fall Maiden's power is mine! And I will regain what is rightfully mine!'
