A/N: I've never done this pairing before: Cho/Cedric...

It's set after his death... 500 words, not including the title, and author notes at the start and end :)

Hope you enjoy, FireAtWill52.

Until the stars fall:

It was 3 in the morning, and Cho Chang could not sleep.

Although, who could really blame her... her boyfriend had just died, after all.

It had been a shock to them all; Harry turning up, shaken and weak and exhausted, but very much alive and mumbling about Voldemort and wands and his parents and Cedric's body. At first, Cho had thought she'd misheard, how could Cedric possibly be dead? That wasn't his body, because he wasn't dead... Harry must've somehow been mistaken... he couldn't be dead. He was Cedric. Then his mother started crying, and his father collapsed to his knees. Cho realised then, that Harry was right.

He was gone. Cedric was gone.

Cedric Cedric Cedric Cedric Cedric...

Cho climbed quietly out of her bed, wrapped a cloak around her, and stole silently from the Ravenclaw Tower. The castle was quiet. That wasn't right. The castle should be in pandemonium... didn't they realise he was gone? Didn't they realise he wasn't coming back? Didn't they realise... didn't they realise he was dead? Oh, god, he was dead... he was dead... he was dead. A sob left her, and she sunk onto the sill of a window that overlooked the Great Lake. She gazed up at the stars, while the tears streamed down her face, for a long time.

He was gone. Cedric was gone.

Cedric Cedric Cedric Cedric...

She remembered the day he asked her to the Yule Ball. It seemed like just yesterday he had stood before her, nervously fiddling with his yellow and black Hufflepuff tie. He'd been so anxious and embarrassed; he was barely able to get the words out. He'd looked so happy when she'd said yes.

She remembered the day he told her that he loved her. It had only been a few short weeks ago. "I love you, Cho..." she could recall his voice so well; it was like he was standing right there, whispering those words into her ear all over again. But when she turned around, her shadow was alone, and so was she.

He was gone. Cedric was gone.

Cedric Cedric Cedric...

The tears fell, and she didn't know how to stop them. She wanted him back... she just wanted him back. She sunk to the cold stone floor and pressed her head against her knees and cried, because she loved him, and he was dead, and he wasn't ever coming back again. She'd never see him smile or look into his eyes or hear him laugh again. She'd never hold him or kiss him or dance with him in the starlight again...

He was gone. Cedric was gone.

Cedric Cedric...

"I'll love you until the stars fall down from the sky..."

Cedric...

But he was gone. Cedric was gone.

Her heart was broken, and she could barely breathe. Cedric was gone, Cedric was gone, Cedric was gone...

"I love you too, Cedric."

"You'll love me until the stars fall?"

She laughed, "Yes, I swear, until the stars fall..."

Fin.

This one's sad. I was tearing up a little. Poor Cho... can anyone imagine how she must have felt?

Please Review... I know it was short, but it was 11.30 at night, and I was tired!

Adios, Luv ya...
