Quaithe could hear the two at the entrance of her tent, or more specifically she could hear the little one's response, making a soft smile appear behind her mask at the innocent remark.

She stands up as the entrance folds revealing the bright grin of the boy who is probably one of the only people to ever pull the dragon queen around.

She can practically feel the budding fondness between the two, or hero worship for the boy.

"Mother of dragons" Quaithe starts in a gentle tone.

"Dragons implies I have more than one" Danny says bitterly to hide the pain the name caused her as her two children, whose bodies she can't even put to rest, aren't here.

"You will alway be their mother, my queen" making Danny scowl at the wording.

'My queen' is it bad that she almost hates the word queen now?

"Lady Quaithe, and…?" Realizing she hasn't gotten the boy's name.

"Xique" the boy, 'Xique' chirps in response to his wide gap toothed grin making her want to coo, but she has more important things to do, sadly.

"And Xique, I dearly thank you little hatchling" the endearment slipping out but not unwelcome.

"I would have been lost trying to find lady quaithe, and her company is most welcome, it's nice to see such brightness after seeing so much bleakness." She directs the last part towards quaithe.

"I would image so, your Grace, for the night is dark and for of terror's" where has she heard that phrase before?

"As much as I appreciate your generosity to host myself, and my child, I can't help but wonder why?" Danny could have phrased it more diplomatically, but if there's one thing she'll take from Jon, is not beating around the bush, she's tired of politics, she's the queen.

But that doesn't feel right anymore, ruling Westeros doesn't feel important anymore, beside a personal vendetta she is trying to push down.

The sight of children burning will always be her reminder that while she's a dragon, they are still people.

How could she have lost sight of her true purpose?

She wanted to make the world better not just Westeros, the wheel is bigger that Westeros, she realized it after finally grasping the throne in name even for those short hours, she can't break the wheel coped up in Westeros, it's why she told Jon, who she thought knew her, she can admit she let herself be swayed but the lust for revenge.

she had a detached need for the throne, she realizes, she never truly asked herself why she wanted Westeros, because it's her birthright? It sounds so silly now, what's a birthright?

'What is birthright, when the swing of steel can remove it.' In a way she is grateful for her…death it's opened her eyes to so much.

It's who killed her that she hates, she feels so foolish.

Though even she knows she doesn't truly hate him, she hates what he did, did he not love her? Was she really beyond help in his eyes? Did he not realize how much she was dealing with? Why couldn't he have just talked to her?

She can't

She has to move on, she's been given the chance to prove to herself that she'll break the wheel, and while she wanted to have someone beside her who she could lean on…

"Can you update me on what I've missed since I've been…out?" Daenerys inquires, she's still adjusting to, well being alive but she can't sit down, not now, she doesn't know how long before her hold on Meereen and all the others under her control will stay that way, if she doesn't do anything.

"My- Your grace, maybe we should hold off for now, you've been through a lot, if you're worried for your kingdom the man, Daario is it? Has been very thorough"

"Daario?" Her former lover? What has the childish man done now?

"Yes, the man has taken it upon himself to reign in the unrest that, and excuse me for the bluntness, that you left" Daenerys winces as she hears that. Not of Daario keeping order she is and will always be grateful to the boyish man, it's the pattern she sees.

Every time she 'conquers' she leaves. It's like she's running from the responsibility of Queenship. She wants to be queen doesn't she?

The flash of a red door comes to mind.

"I see, is there any way to contact him?" Taking her mind off that, she hopes she can return to Meereen, she's fond of the pyramid, though, that was her first true win.

"I can have one of my messenger birds deliver a message, though my lady if I may?" At Daenerys's nod she continues, " do you not think he will find it suspicious of you writing to him? You are supposed to be dead?"

The eagerness deflates making her seem to lose a glow, Quaithe shares a look with the boy at seeing his eager faze she returns to the queen, no future empress standing before her.

"Your Grace, if it's not too much trouble my company is willing to escort you to Meereen, and that you rest and recuperate on the journey." Quaithe is not going to allow her lords chosen to be left alone, her lord gave her the task of being at the Dragon queen's disposal, plus she can feel a ride shifting in the waves.

Daenerys is shocked, she wonders just how devoted one has to be to blindly follow, she can't help but think of the former slaves she saved who worshiped her for doing something that shouldn't be praised.

"Not that I'm unappreciative of you and all your people have done for me, but why?" Daenerys can't fathom why anyone would want to continue to help her after her actions.

"As the blessed one, it's only natural that we tend to you" Quaithe states so simply.

Daenerys blinks "what do you mean?"

"ah, you see, before I had the chance to enact the ritual that was intended for bringing you back, our lord had intervened before I could start it was quite the spectacle, to see our lord's presence and see him manifest into our realm just to revive you already"

'Was that being of fire, I seen," And felt

"Do you know how significant this is your grace?"

Quaithe is too awestruck in her reverence to let the woman answer "The god's personality interfered with your death…"

"…His lordship personality raised you." if her mask was off Danny would be able to see the pure giddiness from the high of meeting her lord, even inadvertently.

"The lord is inside you in a way no mortal has ever perhaps may never see again." Quaithe finishes.

Letting the information digest for a couple of seconds she continues "The embers whisper loudly with stories of how you will change the world to the likes no one has seen before, like a phoenix rising from the ashes burning brighter than before."

"So, cool!" Xique can help but exclaim bouncing towards the silver queen "see, if Quaithe says it then it's true. I told you, you're awesome"

Dae- Danny can't help but bask in the innocent belief, dearly hoping she can live up to the boy's expectations. She can't believe that the god's, or god themself decided to bring her back, why her?

Do they believe she's better than she was? Do they believe that she could be better? Do better.

Can she believe in herself?

——-

As per the agreement Danny stayed in one place while she recuperate, she feels that Quaithe just wanted to spend the time to study her in a comfortable environment, for whom, she doesn't know, and mainly to placate the worried boy who kept insisting that she rest, saying "Dragon lady or not, you still need to heal"

And truthfully she is grateful for the reprieve from everything for even a little time, it's taken the ability to step back to truly see how hard and how overworked she pushed her body and mind while trying to conquer a kingdom

Though it was her connection to her child that startled her the most. She has an instinctual understanding even more so than before of her Drogon, she can practically read the dragon's thoughts. It was jarring when she found out about the connection to the accident when she awoke from a nightmare of The dead…

The bond seems to be both ways. It's made her realize how easy it is for them to be swayed, not because he is unintelligent, but because he feeds off of her emotions, the more intense her emotions the more intense her Sweet Drogon would be.

It truly made her understand the power under her grasp and how easy it is for them to meld into each other and get lost In the connection.

It's what she thinks happened at Kings landing. She isn't taking the blame off her, she is in the end the one who burned the city, and she should have taken the time to truly understand her children instead of thinking she knew best as their mother.

She has come to realize that while she is a Dragon, she's one made of flesh not fire.

She is grateful for the humbling her child has unknowingly given her.

"Your grace, it's time" the voice of Quaithe interrupts her reminiscing.

'It's time indeed'

Time to return to Meereen, where she shouldn't have ever left.

A/n:

Shorter Chapter sorry.

Alright so, I don't want to make her op but I do want some side effects of being a "blessed one" any ideas?

Should Danny get more dragons? If so how? Dragons are interchangeable so drogon could have hatchlings but that seems too cop out-ish

how would you feel if I brought in Sheepstealer and/ or Cannibal? I feel like the scary beast that is the cannibal would be so cute being all docile to the only human they find worthy.

I think I hinted at it but I wasn't thinking of having Danny become an empress, but I have read similar fics and I don't want to run it the same as every other Danny gets revived fic.

I'll be honest I'm kinda sad some characters are already dead cause I'd love to have Daenerys interact with some of them.

With pairings any thoughts, Jon and Danny are a possibility and I'm not trying to lead anyone on.

I'm just so tempted to I give this girl a harem. But most of the hotter characters are dead *cries*
