Chapter 8
Four days, it had been four days since Adam had discovered what Clay's life was truly like. During those four days Adam and Vic had taken Clay in for a CT-scan, a full body x-ray and an MRI to ensure that his seizures were not being caused by bruising or brain damage. The past four days had been hard with Clay and it wasn't his fault at all. Clay was so used to his routine that getting him to do anything out of it was a massive challenge. The biggest issue was his eating habits. Clay was used to only eating a few things every day and anything outside of that was very difficult to get Clay to try it. It was frustrating, but both Adam and Vic made sure to keep their frustrations away from Clay. It was not his fault, that blame landed on Ash and Kristy, and Clay didn't deserve to have their frustrations taken out on him. Kristy and Uncle Matt had both been arrested and thankfully neither of them had money for bail. That didn't mean they wouldn't find someone to bail them out, but for right now they were two people they didn't need to worry about. Adam was really hoping that Detective Snowden would be able to get them to take a plea or confess so Clay wouldn't have to go through a court case. Adam honestly didn't think Clay would be able to handle it and the last thing he wanted was for either of them to go free so they could keep hurting people. It was a bridge that Adam might have to cross later, but for now it wasn't high on his priority list
Adam made his way into Bravo's cage room. They had just arrived back from their mission and Adam knew the guys would be putting their gear away before they would be heading home. He needed to speak with all of them and it couldn't wait. He had already sent a text to Blackburn letting him know that he needed to speak with him and the rest of Bravo within their war room. He wasn't going to be bringing in Mandy or Davis, that would be something the guys could do. This was an internal Bravo matter and everyone that was Bravo needed to be there. That wasn't to say that Mandy and Davis weren't members of Bravo, but they were a different aspect of the team and this needed to be handled by the brothers. Adam knew this was going to be bad, there was no way around it. He was hoping that by him fighting for custody of Clay that it wouldn't put a strain on Bravo's and Alpha's relationship. He was no longer Alpha, but he would always be their brother. He didn't want this to be an issue within the brotherhood, but at the same time, he couldn't look the other way. He couldn't allow Ash to keep raising Clay.
Adam walked into the cage room and saw that all of the guys were there. They were just finishing up putting their gear away and Adam could tell Ray and Jason were both looking forward to getting out of here so they could get home to their families. Adam knew that Jason and Alana were trying to work it out, they had been together for so long and had been through so much. Neither of them wanted to give up.
"Hey man, everything ok?" Ray asked, as he saw Adam coming into their cage room.
"I know you guys all want to head home, but we need to talk about something first. Meet me and Blackburn in your war room, all of you." Adam said. He didn't want to tell them anything just yet. He wanted to make sure they were in a secure room with Blackburn there.
"Alright. What's going on?" Jason asked, not liking Adam's tone.
"Something has come up that Bravo needs to handle. I'll see you in the war room." Adam said, before he headed back out of the room.
He knew the guys would be thinking they were getting spun up again, but he was ok with that. He didn't want Ash to be suspicious of what was going on. He needed Ash in the room so he could confront him, but also the guys on Bravo would be able to see the evidence and hear what Ash had to say. Adam wasn't worried about Ash trying to talk his way out of this, there was nothing he could say against the evidence that he had. Adam had made sure to print off the photos that he took of Ash's apartment and Clay's injuries. He also went and took photos of Kristy's apartment to show how Clay had been living two weeks out of the month. He had Dri. Robbins' report on Clay's physical condition, he had Detective Snowden's police report and Ms. Watson's report. He had more than enough evidence to prove that he wasn't lying or trying to make Ash look bad. He was ready for this.
Adam walked into the war room and saw Blackburn standing at the front leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. Adam could tell that Blackburn was concerned and not happy about being kept in the dark. He had no idea what was going on, but he was impressed that Adam clearly had been keeping something from him.
"What's going on Adam?" Blackburn asked the second the door closed.
"While you were away on your Op something was brought to my attention. Given the circumstances I took immediate action and now that action is going to hit the team hard."
Adam knew he could have told Blackburn what was going on, but he didn't for two reasons. One, he didn't want to have to tell this story multiple times today and two, he didn't want to be in the middle of telling Blackburn only for the others to come in. It would be better to tell them all together and get it out once and deal with the anger and questions at the same time.
"And what would that be?"
Blackburn did not like the sound of this. He had been involved in a few scandals since his time running a team. Never personally, but professionally when one of his guys did something stupid and the consequences hit the whole time. Blackburn was hoping this wouldn't be that bad, because Adam wasn't a member of Bravo. The fallout shouldn't be that bad. Whatever Adam had done, whatever he had to tell them, it was bad enough that he felt like they all needed the head's up and that was even more concerning. Blackburn had no idea what Adam could possibly have done where the fallout would reach them. Before Adam could answer the door to the room was opening and the guys on Bravo all filed into it.
"Ok, what the hell is going on?" Jason demanded the second they were all in the room.
It wasn't like Adam to do something like this. Adam was a pretty easy going guy. If he had a problem with you, he told you to your face. He wasn't one for talking behind someone's back. He wasn't one to back down from a fight. Adam was a straight shooter so for him to be dragging them in here without telling them what this was about, it was leaving all of Bravo confused. This wasn't the type of man that Adam was and it was putting a heavy rock in the pit of Jason's stomach, because if Adam was doing this, then it couldn't be anything good.
Now that they were all in the room and Adam could see Ash head on, all of his anger towards the man was starting to boil within his body. He had been trying to keep his cool for the past four days, because he didn't want Clay to think that he did something wrong. He didn't want Clay to feel like Adam was mad at him. So he had been burying it, keeping it on a low simmer so he could make it through each day without throwing something or punching something. Seeing Ash now though, seeing him completely unfazed by even being in the room, it only caused his anger to boil over.
"Are you going to tell them the truth or am I?" Adam snapped at Ash.
The sharp tone within Adam's voice was very shocking to everyone within the room. Adam was a pretty calm and collected guy. It was very rare for him to snap at anyone or show any anger. It was one of the things that made Adam such a good teacher and team leader.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Ash demanded.
He had never cared for Adam. In Green Team Ash always thought that Adam was overrated. Everyone seemed to love him, but Ash never saw anything impressive. He never saw anything that would make Adam worthy of the level of respect he received from everyone within DEVGRU and Green Team. If there was one thing Ash was not going to tolerate, and never has, is someone worth less than him giving him attitude and speaking to him this way. Ash had no idea what any of this was about, but it didn't matter to him. He could talk his way out of anything and if there was a serious problem, he had enough political and Upper Brass connections to get him out of anything. He would be able to end Adam's career with a few phone calls.
Adam opened the file within his hands and pulled out the court papers as he spoke. "These are court issued papers giving myself and Vic temporary care of Clay. He's my son now and you will never get your hands on him again."
"Whoa." Sonny said, shocked.
"What the fuck game are you playing at here Adam?" Jason demanded with anger clear within his voice.
Adam knew the others were all shocked and pissed. He was crossing a line and it was very clear that it was not appreciated. But Adam didn't care, he knew they would understand once everything was said and done. He kept his eyes on Ash, because that was what mattered most right now.
"You're claiming abuse against my son. I always knew you were a piece of shit, just some snake in the grass. What is it Adam, you worried that I'm gonna be taking your place?" Ash commented with a snarl.
"The only piece of shit I see is you. But you don't want to tell them, fine, I got no problem with educating them." Adam continued as he opened the file again and pulled out photos of Kristy's place. "Let's start with your wife, Clay's mother, the woman you said was dead. That you were a widow and single father just trying to make your dreams come true. Kristy, who is alive and sees Clay two weeks out of the month, has been arrest for child neglect, child abuse, and sexual trafficking of a minor. And that is before the drug charges. I took photos of her apartment when I went to drop Clay off at it. See that's the problem when you expect a six year old to be able to keep track of all of your lies. When said six year old is dependent on a set routine and can't deviate from it. I drove him to his mother's apartment and I walked in on her cooking meth, high as a kite, and selling him to some piece of shit to be raped and molested."
"Talk, right fucking now." Jason demanded to Ash through clenched teeth.
He had seen the photos when Adam tossed them down onto the table and he was livid. It was one thing for Ash to have lied about his wife being dead, but he took it way too far. Everyone believed he was a single father and raising Clay completely on his own. That was the only reason Jason had even picked him. Ash wasn't good enough with his skills for Bravo, but he was a single father and that spoke deeply to Jason and Ray.
"He's lying. Clay's mother is dead. I don't know what he is doing or playing at with this bullshit, but it's all bullshit." Ash instantly denied.
"Why the hell would he lie about this? Why make this up?" Ray instantly countered.
"I don't fucking know. But it's obvious he wants to steal my son from me. All of this is a lie."
Ash was going to continue to deny it, no matter what Adam had. He had no idea that Adam would have found Kristy or taken photos, that was completely unexpected and he was going to have to work hard on correcting it. The temporary care order was complete bullshit and Ash was confident he would be able to get it tossed out of court and have Clay back. Then he would sell him to the work camp and be done with him once and for all.
"Why would he want to steal your kid?" Sonny asked.
This wasn't making any sense to any of them. Ash was adamant that Adam was trying to steal Clay away from him, but what did Adam have to gain from it? If he wanted another child, he could easily adopt one. It wasn't even just that, they all knew that Adam and Vic were not interested in having more children. They were looking forward to Hannah going off to College in two years. They were looking forward to having no children and an empty nest. It made no sense why he would want to steal Clay away from Ash. Why he would go out of his way to fabricate photos and take them to a court to get temporary care of Clay.
"He's clearly trying to sabotage my career. I'll have this thrown out within hours and my son will be back at home with me tonight." Ash said, as he looked right at Adam.
"No, he won't be. He's no longer your son. He is my son, he is DEVGRU's son. There is an army standing in front of him and everyone will stop at nothing to keep him safe." Adam said, as he pulled out another court document and slid it over to Ash as he continued. "That's a temporary restraining order to keep you away from Clay. Ms. Watson is his Social Worker and she is looking to speak with you, the same as Detective Snowden. You are wanted for questioning. I've reported you for child abuse and neglect. You will also be facing charges for knowing that Clay was being molested for three months and you allowed it to continue. Detective Snowden went through your apartment and saw all of the locks on the cupboards and the refrigerator. He saw that Clay was sleeping in the closet. He saw the empty liquor and beer bottles all over the place. Head a warrant and searched your computer and saw your communication with the supposed work camp in Africa. He saw that you were planning on selling Clay into a human trafficking ring in Africa to fuel the Rebels. You can expect for an NCIS Agent to be present during the questioning."
Adam couldn't believe it when he got the call yesterday about what Detective Snowden had discovered on Ash's computer. He was going to sell his own son for half a million dollars into a human trafficking ring. Adam knew at that point he couldn't let Ash get away with this. He made the decision to press charges against Ash for everything he had done and allowed to happen to Clay. With charges being pressed NCIS would have to be involved and Adam knew it wouldn't be long before NCIS Agents were knocking at his door to arrest him. Hearing the seriousness of the situation, that it wasn't just Kristy but Ash as well that had been hurting Clay, something shifted in the room. You could see the second it registered in Bravo's mind what was truly going on.
"You mother fucker." Sonny growled and he charged at Ash. Both Ray and Brock were quick enough to grab him and hold him back. The last thing they needed was Sonny going up on charges for hurting Ash.
"He's lying." Ash said, standing his ground.
"Clay told me everything. I took him to the hospital where Naima was present for everything. She heard Clay tell the doctor about how you beat him. How you leave him alone while you are away. There is no babysitter. There is no homeschooling or tutor. He doesn't go to school. He thinks the Google assistant is his teacher and friend. He's alone all day and night long when you are spun up or on tour. He told you about being molested and you told him to get used to it because that will help when you send him to the work camp in Africa. Naima heard the whole thing."
"What do you want to do Jason?" Blackburn asked, speaking for the first time since this started.
He couldn't believe this was happening. He never expected to ever be in this position. The men within DEVGRU they weren't just good operators and brothers, they were good men. They were men that wanted to make the world a better place. Yes, they all had different personalities and views on how they could help people, but the bottom line was the same. They wanted to leave this world knowing they helped to make it safer. They didn't hurt women or children and they would never abuse their own child. What Ash had done, what he had allowed to happen, it was despicable and disgusting.
"There's only one thing we can do." Jason stated.
He could feel his whole body radiating with anger. He was beyond pissed off at Ash. He had brought this man into their family. He had brought him into his home and allowed him to be around his wife and children. Ash had betrayed all of them in the worst possible way. He had abused his child. He had allowed Clay's mother to abuse him and to sell him for sexual favors. It would have been better for Ash to shoot one of them in the back. That would have been less painful than this.
"Jason, I am telling you all of this is fabricated. I don't know why he is lying on me, but they are lies. I love my son and I would never hurt him." Ash said with strength within his voice.
Jason spoke as he made his way over to Ash and pulled out his knife. "You are a disgrace to the brotherhood, to the Navy and to this country. If I had it my way you would be dishonorably discharged and placed as a PNG for the rest of your life. I can't make that happen yet, but I can make sure you never operate within DEVGRU again. You have betrayed the brotherhood and the trident on your chest."
Jason cut the Bravo trident off with one slice of his knife. The message was loud and clear, Ash was no longer a brother within Bravo. He was no longer a brother at all to anyone. The rage that started to flood Ash's body was hotter than anything he had ever felt before. He couldn't believe this was happening. That his worthless piece of shit son had betrayed him like this. That he had gone against his rules and opened his mouth. He didn't care what it took, he was going to make sure Clay and Adam paid for this. He was going to be getting his place back within Bravo, but not just any place, Jason's place. He was going to destroy them all and take the crown for himself.
"You're making a huge mistake." Ash said in a deadly tone.
"Get the hell out of my sight." Jason ordered.
Ash turned and headed out of the room, but everyone knew he was not going to go this quietly. Ash had more than enough politicians in his pocket, he would be using every resource he had to get this thrown out. It was going to be a long and rough battle, but it was one that everyone within the room was determined to win. The second the door closed everyone took a moment to catch a breath and get their emotions back under control.
"I'm sorry I couldn't give you a head's up." Adam started.
"Well it would have been fucking nice." Jason snapped.
"You were out on an Op and this wasn't something that could be told over the phone. I knew you would need to see the evidence and hear what Ash had to say. I'm sorry you got blindsided." Adam said, sincerely.
"How this got handled isn't important. What is important is Clay." Blackburn said, trying to get everyone back on the same page. He knew his guys were upset, but he also knew they needed to focus on Clay and what he would need going forward.
"What is going on with the case?" Jason asked, giving Adam his full attention.
"Kristy and Matthew, the man that was molesting Clay, they have both been arrested and are in jail. Neither of them have been able to make bail money. Detective Snowden believes they will take a plea deal. Kristy most likely won't get much. She was cooking meth and heroin within the apartment. She will most likely flip on who she was cooking for and her dealer. I'm sure it won't be long before she flips, she's been without her drugs for four days now. Matthew, he's a low hanging fruit. He's up on child molestation charges and solicitating sex on a minor. He'll most likely flip on whoever else he knows and someone that is a bigger fish. He'll most likely plea it down and flip on other predators, he'll get a couple of years and have to report as a sex offender for the rest of his life. It's not much, best we can hope is that he gets killed in prison."
"And the case against Ash?" Ray asked.
"It's new. This only happened four days ago and originally we were going to be allowed to handle it internally. However, during Detective Snowden's investigation he discovered through Ash's laptop the supposed work camp that was looking to purchase children from the States to have in their sex slavery. At that point it became more than just child neglect and abuse. I'm not sure which charges will be placed against him for it, but NCIS will be involved."
"And the Social Worker?" Blackburn asked this time.
"Ms. Watson, she is very nice. She is willing to allow Vic and me to foster Clay. We got emergency care for him and the restraining order the same day. Initially she said that they would have a plan in place that would allow Ash to eventually have custody of Clay back. That he would be allowed visitation with Clay supervised. Since the new charges I am not sure what the plan will be for that. It all depends on the charges, but there is a chance he could still get supervised visits with Clay, should Ash want to."
"He's not gonna just give up custody of him. He's all about his image and that would not go over well. He'll fight just so he can turn around and act like the loving and doting father. He's going to use every resource that he has to get out of this. He's not just going to lay down and take it." Ray stated.
"Dealing with Ash is going to be a challenge, but I'm more concerned about Clay and his health. What did the doctor say?" Trent asked.
Being abused and being around the manufacturing of multiple drugs, there was no telling what could be going on within his body.
"We don't know the full scope yet. The ER doctor, Dr. Robbins, she did the initial exam and took photographs of his injuries. She sent in a request for blood work, an MRI and a CT-Scan, we did all three and now we go and see his pediatrician in two days for the results. Clay did not have a family doctor, Ash lied about that as well. He was just going to a free clinic with an overworked doctor. Dr. Robbins gave Clay two new inhalers and the proper medication for his seizures, including the mouth spray to stop one while it's happening."
"And has he had a seizure in the past four days?" Trent asked next.
"He's had eight, he tends to have two a day. He's also having about three asthma attacks a day, but the blue inhaler helps to stop it quicker. We'll know more in two days when we get the results from the tests back. Dr. Robbins did say it is possible that his asthma and seizures are more severe because of the chemicals he was breathing in. It is possible his body will heal and grow out of it."
"It's possible. A lot of children will have seizures that they grow out of. Sometimes, it's how their brains grow and they stop around puberty." Trent confirmed.
"What about the Social Worker? Is there anything you are supposed to be doing? Will it be hard for you to get approved to foster Clay?" Sonny asked.
"Ms. Watson is perfectly happy with Vic and I fostering Clay. It has been approved and she is willing to support us with going for full custody of Clay that will eventually lead to adopting him. She had a list of things that we needed to do. We have a family lawyer, we got him a pediatrician, we are looking for a therapist for him, but we are waiting on doing that until he gets evaluated. We need to have him properly diagnosed if he does have autism, we have an appointment in three days at a private school. There is a psycho-educational therapist that works there that is one of the best within her field. She will be able to properly diagnose Clay with any disorders that he might have. Once we have a proper diagnosis then we will get Clay into school and in with the right therapist for him."
Adam knew he could have just put Clay into school right away, but he didn't want to do that. He wanted the paperwork, the proper documentation that stated what Clay's condition was. That way the school would be made aware of it and accommodations could be made for him. He didn't want to throw Clay into the deep end, he had to make sure the transition into school was as smooth as possible. He already had no idea how well it would go over. Clay was dependent on his routine and it had not been easy getting him to do anything outside of it.
"That's the right call to make. It would be better to go into the school with the paperwork so they know what Clay needs and just what they are getting in for. He's going to need a lot of help. How has he been for the past four days with you?" Jason asked.
"I'm not gonna lie, it's been hard. It's not just adapting to having a six year old again, he's very stuck in his routine with what he does and what he eats. We still can't really get him to try any new food. The first day Vic was able to get him to help her make pancakes and he liked them, but he went right back to eating the same cereal after that. We're trying to get him to try new things with his normal food, but he hasn't been interested in it. Even something as simple as getting him to drink a glass of milk, he won't, because it's only for cereal." Adam started.
"He's afraid he'll run out of milk." Blackburn easily stated.
"That's exactly it. Even when we have both told him that we're home and can run out for more milk before morning, it's like it doesn't even register in his mind. Clay didn't have a tutor, there was no babysitter. When he was with Ash for those two weeks out of the month he was alone. So if he did run out of food, there was nothing he could eat. Every cupboard and in the fridge, it was all locked up so he could only access what Ash allowed him to eat. He's used to having to rashon his food. It's going to take time before he starts to realise that he doesn't have to worry about that."
"It'll take time, but he'll get there. Kids, they bounce back fast. Clay has managed to raise himself this whole time practically, he'll adapt to the new routine and environment and before you know it he'll be a normal kid." Ray commented.
"What do you need? Does Clay need anything, does he have everything for his room?" Jason asked.
"We've been working on getting him some things. We focused on the important items first. He's got a bed and a dresser from the guest room. We got him a new comforter and sheet set so it would feel more like his room. We got him some clothes, and that was not easy. He only likes the feel of certain textures, mostly cotton and not jeans right now. He likes things that feel soft, if it's even just a bit scratchy he doesn't like it. We got him a few books and some toys. He loves the books, but the toys he looks at them like he doesn't know what to do with them. He doesn't know what playing is. Even when I have managed to get him into the backyard to kick a soccer ball around, he doesn't understand why I would be interacting with him." Adam answered.
"He's not used to having people around him. Most likely the only time he's had any social interactions were the couple of times he was with the team. And he mostly interacted with Emma. We should try more intelligent interactions. Do a puzzle with him, read together, play a board game, something that engages his mind while he is interacting with you. You might find he's more comfortable with it over a physical activity." Trent suggested.
"Ok, I can try that."
It was a relief to Adam to be able to have the guys know now. They would be able to help him and Clay. Clay was no longer having to be alone, he had people within his life that would be there for him and be there to help him. He was DEVGRU's son now and everyone within the brotherhood would be there to protect him from Ash and anyone else that came his way.
"Why don't we have a barbeque at your place tomorrow? I can bring Emma and Mikey and maybe that will help Clay come out of his shell a bit." Jason suggested.
"That's a good idea. He needs to get used to us all being around him. He also desperately needs to be socialized." Ray agreed.
"Ya that's fine with me. The day after I have Clay's doctor's appointment." Adam said.
"I'd like to be there for the appointment, if you're ok with that." Trent said.
"Of course. I'm sure you will understand better than me what she will be talking about. I can't imagine he won't have something come up." Adam easily agreed.
"He will have something. He was around drugs being cooked, he's going to some type of levels within his blood. The question is how much. Hopefully it was a recently new thing his mother was doing and it might not be too bad." Trent said. He was really hoping that Clay didn't have any high levels of meth or heroin within his system.
"We'll find out in two days. For now, I really need to head back home." Adam said.
"Thank-you." Jason said, as he held his hand out to Adam.
"You would have done the same." Adam easily said, as he took Jason's hand.
"He's safe now, that's what matters. If you need anything don't hesitate to call." Jason said.
"I will. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Adam said with a nod to the others before he headed out of the room.
Once they were alone Sonny spoke in a deep growl. "How are we making this son of a bitch pay?"
"NCIS will handle Ash. For now the best thing any of us can do is be there for Clay and Adam. Him and Vic are taking on a huge challenge with Clay and they are going to need all of the support they can get. Let's focus on Clay for now and wait for Ash to start making his move." Blackburn ordered.
"He's going to make a move. He's not going to let this go." Jason said.
"I know, but until he does, there is nothing we can do but be there for Clay. Adam and Vic are taking care of him, but he's all of our responsibility. He's got a long road ahead of him and he's going to need all of the uncles he can get. Reach out to the other team leaders so they are aware of the situation. This will hit the rest of the teams and we need to make sure it's the truth and not what Ash wants people to know." Blackburn said.
Jason gave a nod and he knew between all of them that they would make sure everyone knew the truth about what Ash had done. They were all going to make sure that Ash didn't have any friends, that he didn't have anyone to turn to or that he could use to try and get him out of this. They would be ready though for whatever was going to come their way. They were not going to allow Ash to get away with everything he had done and was planning on doing to his own son. They would protect Clay and get him justice, no matter what.
XXX
Ash slammed his front door as he stormed in. He was beyond pissed off and he was not impressed that Adam had gone and poked his nose where it didn't belong. Now he was going to have to cash in favors and use every resource he had to get out of this NCIS bullshit and get custody back of Clay. All of this would cost him money and delay the sale to the work camp. Knowing that he was going to have to put more money towards Clay only fueled his anger. He went over to his kitchen and grabbed a bottle of whiskey before he went and sat down on the couch. After taking a long drink Ash pulled out his phone and decided to calm himself down by watching the footage of Emma. She had been very busy last night using one of her toys and Ash enjoyed watching it on the plane on the way home. There was an added excitement to it knowing that he was watching Jason Hayes' precious daughter mastuerbating with the man just feet away from him.
Ash knew he needed to do something to ruin Jason and Adam. Thankfully he knew just how to do it and it would allow him to ruin both of them at the same time. He just needed to get into Adam's house when no one was home so he could plant more of the cameras within Hannah's bedroom. Ash was going to keep it just for himself, but after today, after getting his trident cut from his chest, he was going to make sure both Jason and Adam felt the pain he was feeling. He was going to take away what was most precious to them. He was going to put the videos up on a website within the DarkNet. He would be charging a monthly subscription fee for people all over the world to watch the camera feed. He would be making money off of them and that would cover the cost of his very expensive lawyer and everything else he was going to have to pay out just so he could correct the damage that Adam has done.
Ash wasn't worried about any criminal investigation or Social Services. He had enough connections to get all charges dismissed and he would be getting Clay back. Once he was able to get the Social Worker out of his life then Clay will be sent off to Africa and he will officially be free from him. Ash couldn't wait until Clay was gone. Then he would be getting his rightful place as Bravo One. If Bravo thought they had seen the last of him, they were sorely mistaken.
