Thanksgiving Surprise-Ch 4
Penelope woke up to the feeling of laying on a soft pillow with strong arms wrapped securely around her, she laid there for a second and thought to herself, "wait, I fell asleep on the couch and wake up in the bed". Derek kissed the side of her neck and almost like he was reading her mind he said, "don't worry sweetness, I fell asleep too and when I woke up I carried you upstairs so that you could get some rest".
She looked over her shoulder and said, "thank you handsome", he sighed happily and said, "you're welcome gorgeous", they laid there just holding each other for a few minutes before he said, "how about we take a walk down by the lake, does that sound good?", she grinned and nodded her head yes as they climbed off of the bed and walked hand in hand down the stairs and out the front door.
As they started making their way up the path that led to the lake Derek said, "it's so beautiful here this time of year isn't it baby girl?", she said, "yes it is, I love all of these fall colors, it just makes it more Thanksgiving like". Derek gave her his famous smile and said, "I still can't believe that you're here with me and that you're mine, you Penelope Grace Garcia are actually mine", they stopped walking and turned to face each other.
Penelope said, "and you Derek Michael Morgan are mine", he rested his forehead against hers and said, "I've always been yours sweetness, just been waiting on you to stake your claim", she leaned in and brushed her lips against his and said, "consider my claim staked then handsome", he laughed and said, "done and done princess".
Once again they started making their way up the path and Penelope said, "soooo, what made you decide to finally tell me how you felt last night?", Derek said, "truthfully, I was just tired of not being with you, I want to be able to hold your hand when I want and kiss you when I want and now that you're mine I can do that", he then turned to face her again and claimed her lips with his in another passionate kiss.
When they pulled apart Penelope said, "I can't tell you how long I have dreamed about being with you", Derek intertwined their fingers again and said, "I feel the same way baby girl, it's like I've stepped out of my dreams and stepped into reality and this is a reality that I can definitely get used to" as they rounded the curve to see the beautiful lake sitting in front of them.
They walked closer and Penelope said, "this view never changes, it's still as beautiful as it was the last time I was here", Derek said, "true dat sweetness, true dat" as he stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He then laid his hand in the curve of her neck and said, "you are so beautiful", she then gasped in surprise as he kiss then gently bit the soft skin on the side of her neck, she said, "don't be so naughty handsome".
He laughed and said, "ohhhhh that's not being naughty goddess, trust me when I say that I can get a lotttttt naughtier than that", she blushed and said, "well that definitely gives me something to look forward to then doesn't it?", Derek said, "ohhhh it does angel, it most certainly does" as they then went back to looking around at the amazing view
They stood there laughing and talking for a few more minutes before Derek said, "how about we head back, it's getting kinda late and this way we can have a late dinner before heading to bed". She looked at him lovingly and said, "sounds like a plan hotstuff", they then turned around and started walking back toward the cabin hand in hand, Penelope glanced at her boyfriend and smiled wondering just what else this little Thanksgiving holiday was going to bring her way.
