Thanksgiving Surprise-Ch 10
As Derek and Penelope continued making their way up the path she squeezed his hand and said, "is this really happening, are we, are we?", he laughed and said, "this is very real and we're definitely getting married sweetness, soon you're going to be Mrs. Derek Michael Morgan", she smiled and said, "it all still feels like a dream, a big, hot, sexy, almost unbelievable dream".
They stopped walking and turned to face each other, he cupped her face in his hands and leaned in and claimed her lips with his in a passionate kiss, she moaned against his lips as he deepened the kiss. When they pulled apart he said, "does it still feel like a dream goddess?", she shook her head and said, "n n no, it feels real, it feels soooooo real", he kissed the end of her nose and said, "good, now let's go tell the others the good news".
Fran smiled when she turned to see her son and future daughter-in-law walking up the path toward them, Dave said, "welllllll lookey lookey who finally decided to join us", Derek smiled proudly and said, "we have something to tell everybody". The family all stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the couple, Penelope then held out her left hand and said, "Derek proposed and I said yessss" causing JJ and Emily to pull her into a hug, only to be joined a few seconds later by Sarah and Desi.
Derek smiled as he watched the women all hugging his future bride, he looked to the side when Reid put his hand on Derek's shoulder and said, "congratulations Morgan, it's about time", Derek nodded his head in agreement. Hotch said, "congratulations, you two make an amazing couple and I'm so glad that you've finally found somebody that completes you like she does", Derek sighed happily and said, "thanks man, I can't tell you how much that means to me".
Dave said, "soooooo congratulations son, I'm glad that she's finally making an honest man out of you", Derek laughed and said, "me to Dave, me too" as their attention then went to the women who were still congratulating the bride-to-be. Fran looked at Penelope and said, "so do you have any idea when you'd like to get married?", Penelope looked at her future husband and then at Fran and said, "the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned".
Derek walked over to her and wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her temple before saying, "I'd marry her today if it were possible", Dave said, "well I don't think that we can pull it off today butttttt maybe tomorrow or the next day". Fran said, "where would you like to get married sweetie?", Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and said, "would it be possible to get married in your backyard surrounded by all of your beautiful flowers?", Fran said, "if that's what you want, then we will make it happen".
Hotch said, "how about we head back to the cabin and have some dessert and then after we get the boys tucked into bed we try to nail down the specifics for the wedding", Derek and Penelope nodded their heads yes in agreement as everybody then turned around and started heading back down the path that led back to the cabin.
After enjoying some delicious dessert the boys wanted to watch a movie and a few minutes said movie they both fell asleep and were carried to bed and tucked in by their fathers so that they could join the others to start planning the wedding they had been waiting for since the day Derek met Penelope.
