Nah, I'm Good 5

In spite of having to attend a semi large gathering tomorrow at his parents house tomorrow, Lincoln was slated to spend some quality time with Lana as he patiently waited for her at his apartment fully dressed.
"Let's try to go over the list that Lily left me" said Lincoln as he pulled his phone out, but before he was gonna do one last cram, he got a text from Lana.
"Can't make it, couldn't find someone to look after my son Michael, we'll try to reschedule at a later date" Lincoln read out loud as he began to crack a smile.
Oh well, another day to myself, thought Lincoln as he was about to strip back down to his pajama bottoms and set the AC to max, but heard a knock on the door.
Strange I didn't order anything, thought Lincoln as he went to answer the door and saw a familiar face he was not ready to see.
Standing outside his door was a young woman dressed in a navy blue business skirt and blazer over a bright pink button up as she carried a large pink purse on her left shoulder, as she hold long blonde hair held back in a hair band as she had a flawless complexion.
"Lincoln, it's so good to see you after all this time" said Lola with a cheerful tone as Lincoln began to visibly grimace.
Dear god, I knew I should've guessed the twins would have collaborated, thought Lincoln as he slowly began to close the door.
"I'm sorry miss, but you have me confused" said Lincoln as he tried to slam the door on Lola, but found something blocking it.
"Lincoln wait, don't shut me out! At least hear me out" said Lola as she was halfway wedged through the door, in large part to her bosom serving as an impromptu blocker.
"Lola, please pull your boobs from out my door!" shouted Lincoln, "Only if you let me in" grunted Lola as she struggled to get in for a minute before Lincoln gave up and allowed her access into his place.
God damn it, why is this happening to me, thought Lincoln as Lola was taking a minute to dust herself off.
"Great, now that I'm finally in, let's take a minute to chat before we go on our 3 way date between you, me, and Lana" said Lola with a smile, "Please don't ever say that again, and secondly Lana had to bail last minute since she couldn't find someone to watch her son" said Lincoln.
"What, she couldn't find anyone to look out for little Michael" said Lola with a sad pout, "Ok seriously, you can drop the act, I know you and Lana were probably trying to set this up from the beginning" said Lincoln.
"Actually, I kinda came here to spring the surprise on both of you, so please give her the benefit of the doubt and give her a second chance for some one on one time" said Lola as she lowered her head in shame.
"Yeah, I'll take your word for it" said Lincoln as he wasn't entirely convinced, "I'm serious, so please don't get mad at Lana for no reason" pleaded Lola.
"Sigh, fine, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Now thanks for coming we should meet up again some other time" said Lincoln as he tried to usher Lola out the door, but she took this as an opportunity to pull him out of his house as she closed the door behind him.
"Lola, what gives, I left my keys inside my apartment" said Lincoln, "If you want I'll be more than happy to call and pay for a locksmith to come and get your door, in the mean time how about you and I enjoy our date just the 2 of us" said Lola with a smile.
"I think there's a sale at the adult video store that I must go" said Lincoln trying to really weasel his way out of spending time with Lola, "You can enjoy shopping at that den for deviants at a later time, for now let's have some fun" said Lola.
Dragging her brother to her own vehicle, which happened to be one of those fancy hybrid cars, Lola began to drive her brother towards the center of town where they were parked outside their fathers restaurant.
"Come on, I got a seat reserved for us" said Lola as Lincoln could only grumble as he followed his sister inside.
Once they've been seated, Lola looked at her brother happily as he drank his water with a bored expression.
"Ok, I'll bite, what's got you so happy" asked Lincoln, "Isn't it obvious, I get to enjoy a date with my big brother after so many years, one on one no less" said Lola with a smile.
"Yeah, well if it was up to me, I'd be inside watching TV" said Lincoln as Lola began to pout, "Jeez, I bet Lisa or Lori weren't treated this bad" said Lola.
"Yeah, well they were the sisters I wanted to see and give a fair chance" said Lincoln, "Now you're just being mean and trying to hurt my feelings" said Lola.
"Yeah, well my feelings were hurt when you tried blackmailing me into getting you all those fancy dresses, those diamond jewels you wanted, and when you coerced me to take you to spend a week out in France while you treated me like your damn man servant" said Lincoln bluntly.
"I… I know, and I'm sorry Lincoln" said Lola as she shamefully lowered her head down.
"I shouldn't have been so mean and abused you to give me the life I thought I deserved without working for it, which I learned was wrong, but I've honestly change a lot" said Lola.
"Just cause you changed your appearance, doesn't mean you've changed on the inside" said Lincoln, "But I did, I'm not that spoiled princess whom you begrudgingly indulged so she can be Miss America later on in life, I'm now working hard to become this countries next top public attorney and becoming Miss America" said Lola proudly.
"Huh" answered Lincoln as he never thought he heard the world 'public attorney' leave Lola's mouth.
"Yeah, in fact I might be a junior in the profession, but I already helped solved a murder mystery case with my college professor a few months back, which really helped boost my reputation that I'm slated to take my BAR exam in about a month from now" said Lola.
"I don't believe you" said Lincoln as Lola pulled out a folder from her bag and showed him news clippings from her case along with photos.
"Speechless huh, I was too when I managed to solve the case that the murderer was actually the daughter who had accidentally killed her father instead of his lover at the time" said Lola.
"Now on top of college frat boys wanting to hook up with Miss Michigan cause she'd make a hot trophy wife once they finish scoring 4 touchdowns for the NFL, I also got preppy ivy league boys wanting to swoon me over after they heard I'm more than just a pretty face" said Lola with a triumphant smile.
"You want my advice, avoid any meathead who reminds you of Lynn, and please remember that just because you're more than just a pretty face to those rich kids with parents who are in the senate, to them you're still a pretty face, but you got something else to flex in order to not stir conflict to those elitist big wigs" said Lincoln.
"Why Lincoln, I didn't know you cared who I date" said Lola with a smug smile, "I- I don't alright, just…" said Lincoln as he began to blush over the fact he was acting so caring to a sister he felt didn't deserve his love or attention yet.
"Well you can relax, I'm actually dating this cute plumber boy who just graduated from vocational school and got his degree in automobile repair" said Lola.
Hearing who her sister was dating definitely left Lincoln speechless since he was expecting she'd at least marry a software engineer who was at least the founder of the next social media platform.
"So what about you Lincoln, any special girl in your life, or perhaps a boy, I don't have a problem with who or whom you date" asked Lincoln, "Nah, I don't, in fact I told Lori this already, but I'm currently off the market due to trust issues and a bad relationship I dealt with a few years back" said Lincoln.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but hey if and when you're ready to go out into the field, please think about me when you plan to introduce them to the family" said Lola, "I will, and thank you for not pressuring me" said Lincoln.
"Come on, it's not my business, plus it's very acceptable and respectable for a single rich person to choose a life of solitude, for however long they like" said Lola, "Thank you, now if Lori can get the message" said Lincoln.
"Oh my god, she's still trying to play match maker for you, that's cute" said Lola, "It's not, in fact that's the kind of thing that deducts cute points from her or from any of our sisters for that matter" said Lincoln.
"Well you won't hear me trying to pressure you into finding the right person anytime soon, and if you want, I can talk to Lori to lay off" said Lola, "Yes, please do" said Lincoln.
"Of course, there is one little thing I'd like you to do for me" said Lola as Lincoln expected her to pull one of these at some point.
"What is it" asked Lincoln with a grumble as he felt Lola grabbed hold of his hand, "Try to have a better attitude for the rest of the evening, cause like it or not we're on a date, and the least you can do is smile a little" said Lola.
"I guess that's fair enough. All right then Lola, I agree to your terms" said Lincoln as he finally cracked a smile, "See, you look a whole lot more handsomer already" said Lola.
"Gee, I didn't know me smiling or not was a factor in my handsomeness" said Lincoln, "Really Lincoln, after spending all those years practicing for all those beauty pageants, you're gonna tell me a smile doesn't factor in a persons appearance" said Lola with a cocked brow.
"Touché" said Lincoln as their food was finally served, "So Lincoln, tell me, what's new, it's the first time we chatted and I honestly don't know anything about you, not including you choosing to do these dates with us or the fact you're off the market, so please enlighten me" said Lola.
"There's not a whole lot I can tell you, I live a humble life, just staying up late, playing video games, watching TV, maybe enjoy a nice reading binge, and the only person I had in my life was Lily, besides that nothing else" said Lincoln.
"Really, no real estate investment, no going to business school, no seeing the world" asked Lola, "I'm a man of simple taste and desires" said Lincoln.
"There's no shame in that, but from it sounds like, you hardly leave the house" said Lola, "Bingo" said Lincoln as Lola let out a sigh as she wanted to say something, but she had no right or authority to do so.
"What about you, what exciting things happened to you" asked Lincoln, "Oh you know, I still enter beauty pageants, I'm going and paying for my own school to get my law degree, had a few boyfriends here and there in my life, but honestly I think the most interesting thing to happen was me and Lana celebrating our 21st birthday together" said Lola.
"And how did that go" asked Lincoln, "We saw this rock concert together, had a few drinks that night, got into a fight, escaped the cops, and other things I know you don't want to hear since it's a memory that only I and Lana will cherish, just the 2 of us and a guy name Chad Thundercock" said Lola as she began to gush over whatever she, Lana, and this Chad did that night.
"Just so long as you 2 were safe, that's all that matters" said Lincoln as he didn't want to dwell on what happened that night.
After enjoying their meal, Lola paid for it before she took her brother to one of the parks where they enjoyed a nice stroll together.
"So yeah, that's how my friendship with all my friends, not including Clyde, came to an end" said Lincoln, "That's sad to hear, but honestly I'm glad it ended in a way for you to possibly rekindle your friendship" said Lola.
"I don't know, I mean, besides Liam, I don't know if any of my friends are even in Royal Woods anymore" said Lincoln, "You could search them on social media" said Lola.
"Nah, I'm good" said Lincoln with a smile as they stood over the pond and see the fishes that Lana had fought for their rights to be happily swimming about.
"Must be nice" said Lincoln, "What must be nice" asked Lola as she was staring at the school of fish below her, but couldn't figure out what he was referring to.
"It's not just thinking out loud" said Lincoln as Lola leaned herself on her brother, "Come on, just tell me already" said Lola as she began to wrap her arms around her brothers neck and proceeded to rub her face against his.
"I guess… I do yearn for some level of companionship, but having people around all the time is a pain in the ass and frankly I'm happy living a pseudo hermit life style" said Lincoln admittingly.
"Maybe that's a how you feel now, but in time, maybe you may want to open up and hang with all of your sisters again, maybe even start a family someday" said Lola optimistically.
"Unlikely, I mean there's a lot of things to factor in" said Lincoln, "Well if it's worth anything, I think you make a great dad someday should the opportunity happen, besides the you from today may not be the same one from 10 years ago" said Lola.
"Unlikely, I mean, I'll still be rich, and living by myself" said Lincoln, "Maybe so, but I don't think so" said Lola.
"What makes you say that" asked Lincoln, "Well 10 years ago you wanted nothing to do with me and our sisters, and here we are, enjoying a date just between you and me today, tomorrow you'll be spending time with Lori and her kids at mom and dads, and who knows, maybe before you hit your mid 30's we'll be one happy family again" said Lola as she impressed her brother with the amount of wisdom she gained throughout these years.
"How did you get so smart and caring" said Lincoln as he brought Lola in as he leaned his head on her, "I had a big brother who never gave up on me and saw the good in not only me, but in all of sisters" said Lola.
"Now come on, I think the locksmith should be done unlocking your apartment" said Lola as she finally drove her brother back home, where they just drank tea and streamed a musical together till it was time for Lola to bid her brother farewell.
Like how things were going before, Lola reported in to her sisters and told her the good news about how well her date was, while also thanking Lana for making up the excuse so she can finally see her brother again.
Additionally, she had a lengthy private conversation with Lori about trying to get involved with their brothers love life so suddenly after just seeing him again.
And while she got Lori to not get involved with Lincoln's love life, they did compromise that it'll be everyone else's responsibility, and only if he's ready, and if he reaches out and ask for their help.
She also made sure to thank Lily as she forwarded her, Luna, Luan, and Lynn some details in regards to their brothers interest and disinterest in order to have a great date with their brother.
Yup so far everything was going good for now, however Lincoln may have reason to be suspicious of his siblings that they might be collaborating in him getting to see all of them, so really the 3 remaining sister have to up their game when the opportunity arises, and even then that puts a huge risk for Lincoln as he may ultimately shuts himself from all of them.
Still like the old saying goes, love is war, and it'll always rages within as everyone called it a night as they allow their brother to relax throughout this long weekend before they can pick up where they left off.
