Part 4: 5 times she met his parents one time they were hers:
Hi guys i am back with the next part thank you so much for supporting this story.
So this is set in season 4-5 after Rachel cheats on Mike. But Mike doesn't forgive her until after louis cames to know about Mike.
Rachel's life has changed over years. She has made new friends Pearson Spectre feels more like home now. She works with people who understand her and support her even Louis is civilized to her. She is now going to be a lawyer. Since Mike has left she is working with Harvey as his associate. But she can see she could never fill in the shoes. Past few months have been chaotic to say at least. Mike and Harvey were up against each other, and then Logan came in and then everything got messed up its been almost a month since she had talked to Mike. The firm's been in chaos too Louis is extremely angry on Mike since he came to know the secret. She sees him everyday at the office but is breaks her heart to see him like this. He is at the rock bottom not that everyone could tell that any third person would say Mike is in his element, putting out fires day and night vibing with Harvey or Katrina. But she knows she can see it in his eyes the lively blue ice don't have the same spark in them. He had drowned himself in the office and work and have hardly been going home. And Louis treating him the way he is does not improve on things. Havey and Donna have supported them but kept themselves from saying anything. But see can see the accusing look in Harvey's eyes whenever she goes to him. She can see there is some tiff going between Harvey and Donna as well.
It was another evening almost everyone had left the office. Except few key people. They would have too but there was a storn warning whole city was in blackout. And they were stuck. 7 individuals, who were not very fond of each other at the moment. Harvey, Donna, Mike, Louis, Katrina, Jessica and her all were there but all of them were quietly pretending to complete the work in different offices not talking. Everything was so silent. The traffic and ravaging jams that could be seen through the window were too far below to disturb them in this highrise.
She was working in Harvey's office, but still it was so silent. She couldn't not think about the days the evenings or movie night her, Donna and Mike would spend at Harvey's place the small outings they were so fun. She would still spend few nights at Donna's after her and Mike's... Donna was incredibly understanding but she knew Harvey wasn't the same. He was very protective of Mike and was somewhere angry on her.
Her thoughts moved to the last evening at Donna they had gotten really drunk while talking Donna told her something about Harvey having some issues with infidelity but she can't remember much, but she remembers Donna understanding her but at the same time being disappointed in her. Well whatever happened she can't take it back. She had gone to talk to Mike but Katrina was in his office and she came back.
She could see none of them could actually work backup generators were also down the candles illuminating the rooms were dull she looked at Harvey once or twice but he too seemed to be in some deep thought, him and Donna had some fight some time back she was currently in Jessica's office. She then chose to fix her eyes on the dark clouds looming out of the window that somehow were most accurate depiction of her own was soon lost in the thoughts of her and Mike. It seemed like like an hour had passed in the same silence.
When suddenly a sound of crashing broke her chain of thoughts. She was utterly confused and trying to get a grip of the situation when she saw Harvey suddenly jumping in action. She looked at the Direction he rushed and what she sha suddenly gripped her heart. It was Mike!
He was stumbling into the office holding the wall to help him stand. He was fully drenched in sweat.
"Harvey!" He wheezed as he finally stepped into the office. " Helpp..." He choked and was about to fall but Harvey was already there. Harvey tightly held Mike by his arms and helped him to sit on the couch. Rachel was stumped for a few moments then ran yo get some water.
He kneeled in front of him and cupped Mike's face. "Here have some water" he said as Rachel forwarded the glass after a sip kept it aside. "Mike! Mike? Hey what is it? Rachel call Donna!" She was already on her way
Mike coughed hard while Harvey patted his back. "M...my as.. asthma... " He wheezed.
" What? Where is your inhaler? " Harvey asked.
" It...I.. I can't fin...find it... I have searched whole office" she heard as she and Donna were near the office followed closely by Jessica. Everyone looked at her even more panicked.
" What how can you be that dumb? " Mike. Hey buddy do you remember where you kept it last?"
" I...i have... haven't had one in te...ten years. " Mike wheezed again bursting in a cough.
" Donna where is extra inhaler?" Harvey asked as he saw the ladies coming into the room.
" I..i don't remember ... haven't seen it the while " Donna answered quickly jumping towards the drawer and started searching and Jessica called 911.
" Phone lines are down too " Jessica announced.
Harvey nodded and made himself comfortable beside Mike and started rubbing his back.
" Stay calm buddy..its ok we will find it ok...just calm down.. ok breathe " he started in soothing voice.
Rachel was already crying from the moment she saw Mike now after coming back to the office the she couldn't control anymore she moved ahead and ran hand through his hair and his back " Mike" Harvey immediately shot a burning glance to her " Rachel maybe help Donna " Harvey added. She had no choice but to comply they had searched and ravaged half the office by now.
They could hear Mike's condition getting worse.
" Harv.." Mike choked.
" Hey told you not to talk"
"Can't breathe" he clutched Harvey's shirt tightly as tears made way down Mike's cheek.
"Come on copy my breath" he took Mike's hand and kept it on his chest and started taking delibrate deep breath. But nothing seemed to improve his condition.
Harvey knew Mike wasn't a person who would cry easily. He wanted nothing more than picking him up and run to the hospital but they were stuck on 57th floor of the high rise lifts were not working and half the city was stuck in jams he knew there was no way he could reach hospital. But if he tried he would probably end up getting himself and Mike mugged. In addition there was heavy storm brewing outside.
He hated the fact that he was sitting uselessly. He suddenly noticed Mike almost slumped over him. " Hey mike ...mike" he patted hard on the cheeks " keep your eyes open pleas for me " all the eyes moved to him they had hardly heard the Harvey Spectre speak in the tone. But all of them went back ass soon to save their beloved Mike.
Soon they had searched the whole office the sound of coughing and wheexing seemed to be far apart. Harvey also had been having hard time keeming Mike awake.
" Harvey i couldn't find.." Donna spoke breaking into tears.
"Hey ...harv..guess its my time " half unconscious Mike started to speak
" Shut up just shut up" Harvey cut them shouting loudly shaking everyone to the core " Donna i can't lose here and you" turning towards Mike " I don't want any negativity understood you just stay awake and listen to me i... I will make everything alright".
"Harvey?" Hearing his voice Louis and katrina walked into the office. He was shocked to d
See the scene in front of him.
" What?"
It was as if something strike Jessica she immediately went to Louis. "Louis Mike's having a bad asthma attack and we can't find the inhaler" she started and instantly Louis turned and left. Before anythone could react
" Harvv..." Mike took a deep breath and choked.
"Mike...Mike... " Mike had fainted in his arms world seemed to stop for Harvey.
All others rushed to them Mike...
" Mike... Mike " harvey immediately laid him and put an ear on his chest . He could hear faint thumps. But Mike's breaths were not doing him any good. Harvey picked Mike, now no matter what happened he had to get Mike to the hospital.
Suddenly Louis reappeared with an inhaler in his hands.
Harvey quickly made Mike seat on the couch. They slowly pushed the pump in between his lips and once it was past his teeth. They gave two puffs. They waited a few moments and repeated the exercise. After two puffs Mike's eyes opened wide and he was coughing and inhaling as though possessed.
" Mike calm down Mike!" Harvey shouted " Michael James Ross! Jamey! Calm down!"
That seemed to get Mike and he immediately turned to Harvey with wide eyes. His breathing seemed to ease out in a few moments. But before the knew he passed out of exhaustion.
But his breathing seemed a lot better.
After half an hour -
Everything seemed to be calm it has been half an hour since anyone spoke. Mike was sleeping on the couch in Harvey's lap.
Rachel and Donna sat on the foot of the couch Rachel's sobbing had subsided a bit.
Louis was standing in the corner looking out while Jessica was sitting on the desk.
"Mike had asthma ?" Rachel said with a sob " I didn't…."
"He had it since childhood" Donna answered.
" He had it but it had stopped bothering him" Harvey added still looking at Mike feeling him breathe " He had it today after almost 12-14 years and you can count on Mikey to choose a day like this" he smiled
"Why now?" Jessica finally asked the question everyone had clearly been trying to avoid.
" I wanna say it was her" Harvey aged with same fiery glance Rachel had been getting for past week.
"I…." Rachel wanted to answer but she couldn't.
" Harvey I have said it before and I will say it again, Stop blaming Rachel" Donna sternly added.
" Yes she made a mistake I am not defending her but you have to understand Rachel and Mike belong together he needs her and he won't see it until you point it out to him. Can't you all see how he has been for past month its not just her its all of us. Rachel's deceit made him feel alone and then Jessica didn't leave a single chance to show him how much of a problem he is. Then Louis he got to know and we all have seen what has been going on. And Harvey we made the biggest mistake by staying aloof." Donna broke " We should have been there more for our Mike." Things again went silent.
"I am sorry" Rachel added" I know what I did was not correct but it was…. I love Mike….I do…..I really do" She looked at the sleeping figure. One glance at her and Harvey knew Donna was right he needed to talk to Mike.
After a few moments he called Rachel to take his place as he went to freshen up.
In moments he was in the Men's room in front of mirror. He was continuously splashing water on his face. He couldn't get todays scenario to stop haunting him. He had thrown his tie and coat on the floor and standing by the basin.
"We can't have you pass out too" he turned to find Louis standing.
He then did something he had never done before he hugged Louis!
"Thank you I can't thank you enough… you saved him"
Louis was taken aback initially but then reciprocated.
After some minutes-
"So what made you change your mind?" Harvey asked" you hated the guys."
" I never hated him sure I was angry, but I would never let anyone die let alone Mike"
" Bullshit"
Even Louis laughed. " I did it because of you I saw you all cry for him."
Harvey smiled.
"And I thought if a man can make Harvey Spectre cry….."
At this both Harvey and Louis burst out at this.
It was another half an our when both men entered the office smiling after ironing out all their differences and with coffee for everyone.
"No…. you brought coffee for us?" Donna almost laughed
" On one condition this does not leave the room after all I have a reputation to uphold" Everyone laughed
They all enjoyed.
" Harvey how do you know Mike" Jessica who had been quiet had thrown another question"
" what? You know…"
"Don't toy with me Harvey who's Jamie"
After a sigh he started " Mike's parents were our neighbour I was 15 when I first met him he was a little boy of 7 I instantly liked him we spent a lot of time together, I forgot every problem when I was with him. I used to call him Jaimey, But then his parents met an accident. He lived with us for some time after that whenever his grammy was sick but he had he went through trauma and all that's when asthma started. I used to help him through these attacks. He lived with us for 2 years on and off then he got better. I moved to Havard. He due to amnesia forgot most of it. And then his grammy too moved to other part of town to more affordable pace and we lost touch"
All the jaws were hanging with shock. (except Donna ofcourse)
"Is this why?" Jessica started
"No..no I didn't know about this then I came to know about it when I met his Grammy almost an year after, She told me Mike doesn't remember those years of his life and for his sake we let it go. He still doesn't know so I would prefer." Everyone understood and nodded.
"So that's why u knew about his asthma and had an inhaler" Rachel added.
Harvey Nodded.
Everyone went quiet. Slowly indulging in comfortable silence talking about some unrelated stuff now and then till storm subsided.
