Frognal showed Harry where he would eat and sleep. Harry was amazed. People had rooms with giant cushions they call mattresses. Harry was overwhelmed. Frognal was happy that Harry was happy. Ghosty told Harry he had lessons the next day and that he would meet more students and teachers. Harry was very excited. Harry introduced Frognal to Ghosty but Frognal could neither see nor hear Ghosty. It was strange to Harry but he let it go and just decided Ghosty can be his best friend.
Frognal talked to Harry at night. They talked about the stairs and the magic candles. Harry had lots of questions but was so excited by everything that it was tiring him out. Frognal went to sleep in his bed which was next to Harry's. Harry stayed up talking to Ghosty about the time he had to hold in his urine for seven hours before being allowed to use the hole in the garden. Harry had yet to see a normal toilet. He had only heard stories in passing and a violent flushing sound. He imagined it was a huge monster. It was scary.
Harry awoke in the morning. He got up from his bed. He had decided that the floor was more comfortable, because he was used to sleeping like that. He put on the clothes that were there for him. They felt light and new. Fresh and clean. He had to hide his joy at having new clothes for the first time ever.
