As per what Harm told Mac, he went with her and the kids on Saturday to look at the remaining 3 houses on Mac's list. Their day started off great, they went to the first house. No one liked it, second one Harm liked ( cause of the three car garage, nice storage shed in the back yard, and the over sized kitchen ) Mac wasn't to fond of the master bathroom, no Jacuzzi Tub, walk in closet wasn't as big as she'd like, but other than that it was perfect.
Third house wasn't really what they all wanted, however Harm thought he could make it work, it has a three car garage, no storage shed, kitchen was a nice size, all the appliances where state of the art, Mac liked the master bedroom, big walk in closet, jacuzzi tub, patio doors with a small privet balcony. Rest of the remaining 3 bedrooms where all nice sizes, and would work good for Rosie and Tommy. One thing Mac didn't like was that there was just 1 bathroom for the 3. This sparked a very heated debate between them.
"Harm we need 2 bathrooms upstairs plus ours."
"Why?
"One for the kids, plus a guest bathroom."
"Do we really need a guest bathroom upstairs? There's an extra bathroom downstairs."
"It's not a full bathroom, only has a sink and toilet."
"We can remodel it, add a shower."
"So that's the long term solution?"
"Mac what's the real issue here."
"I just want the perfect house for us, we've waited so long to be together, have a family. I just want it to be perfect."
"Life isn't always perfect, we should know that, it'd be dull if it was. Besides don't you think we'd have more fun making this one up how we want it, rather than spending more time looking for a house that might not even exist."
Rosie in the meantime came up to her mama and dada. "Me find my room. I show you." She started pulling on her parents hands down the hallway to the bedroom on the end. They all 3 walked in. Mac looked all over. "Rosie you really like this room?"
"Yes mama, seat in indow for baby doll and teddy bear."
Harm looked over at Mac and flashed her his Flyboy grin. "Mac smirked at him. "You know Admiral that's a very nice smile you've got there, and I'm sure it usually gets you everything you want..." That's when Mac saw Rosie smiling, oh god now they were tag teaming her.
"I guess this house is perfect after all."
Harm glanced at his little daughter, "You like this Rosie?"
"Yes dada, we stay here tonight?"
"No; not yet, mama and dada have to see if we can buy it."
"Like you buy baby doll?"
"Well Rosebud, it will take longer than that."
"Why Dada?"
"You see Mama and Dada have to make sure that we can buy the house."
"I ask." Rosie took off in search of the real estate lady, with Harm and Mac hot on her trail. They both caught up with her just as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Harm grabbed her picking her up, as the real estate woman approached them.
"Well Mr & Mrs Rabb what's the verdict on this one?"Before either one could respond, Rosie beat them;"Me want; mama and dada say okay."
She looked at Harm and Mac, both looked at each other. Mac nodded her head. "We will take it."
"Excellent Mr Rabb, I know you all will be happy here. Now all that's left is to make an offer." She pulled out a contract, handing it over to Harm. He looked confused,as he read it. "I don't understand there's already an offer on here?"
"Yes I can explain that, the seller has already agreed to the amount written in here, he was pretty sure you'd love it."
They both looked very confused, Mac spoke up. "Do we know the seller?"
"Yes you both do." It was about that time Trish and Frank walked in, Harm and Mac glanced over towards the door.
"Mom? Frank?"
"Darlings we knew you'd love this place. We just had to get you to look at."
"Mom, Frank what have you done."
"Son the house is yours, I bought it, as a belated wedding gift for the both of you. Myself and your mother, are very proud of you, this is our way of getting you and your family started off right."
"Frank I can't let you buy this."
"Darling we bought it ages ago. With the intention of giving it to you and Sarah."
Mac lowered her head. "Trish I can't express." Trish took Mac's hands in hers. "Darling just take the keys and start your life with my son and those adorable kids. That's the only thanks we need."
Rosie tugged at her Grammys pant leg, Trish looked down at her little granddaughter, "Yes my sweet girl."
"Grammy me stay here?"
"As long as your mama and dada say yes." Both looked at Harm and Mac. Harm signed in defeat. "What do you think Sarah?"
"I think The Rabb's are finally home."
"It settled than, hand them the keys."
"Mom don't we need to sign papers?"
"Darling didn't you hear me, the house is paid for, it's already in your name. We just new you'd love it."
"How did you know?"
"When Sarah called us to inform us That you would be remaining in Washington, we started talking about houses, she mentioned what type she'd been thinking about, I know Ms Andrews here, I put her to work. And gave her information to Sarah. And well the rest is history."
Harm shook his head. "So you knew we'd want this one?"
"I knew you would, when I saw the kitchen, if there's one thing I know for sure, my son loves to cook. I knew he'd want a state of the art kitchen."
Mac laughed; "You are indeed correct, he loves to cook, right Rosie."
"Yes mama, dada make pacakes on dada Rosie day."
Mac looked down at her little daughter, than over to her husband. "And he likes to cook nice romantic dinners for mama as well."
Rosie placed her hands on her hip, and stomped her foot, she shook her finger at her mama. "Dada my dada no yours."
Harm laughed at his two girls, "Ladies there is plenty of me for each of you.Now what do you say, are we ready to make this house our new home?"
"We are now Mr Rabb" Mac said as she leaned towards his ear. "We will need to christen the kitchen."
Harms eyes got wide as thoughts of Mac in nothing but an apron came to mind.
