I don't own RWBY. I own OC's.

Sorry if you find any grammar mistakes. I'm still learning English because it's not my first language.

ZeroTheOne: I'm glad you're liking it so far! David's presence in Remnant may change a path of a certain character took in the show after a certain event but I won't say more :)

EnderBlazeHybrid: I'm glad you liked it! I'll do my best to make the next chapters better :)

Another weekend has come in the world of Remnant and the students of Beacon Academy made sure to use their free time as best as they could. David, who didn't have any plans for the weekend, was bored out of his mind. He just layed on his bed and stared into the ceiling of his and team RWBY's dorm, listening to the music on his music device for a while now. He honestly had no idea how much time he spend like this at this point but it felt like hours to him. All of the friends that he made at Beacon were busy with their own activities and he was left all alone to do his own thing.

He tried to think of the activity he should do today as he continued to stare into the ceiling for past several minutes now, moving his head up and down to the music going through his ears. He really should have ask Weiss if he could tag along with her when she was going into the city to get some dust from the local dust store, like they did this one time when he wanted to learn more about dust and Weiss was more than eager to share her knowledge about this topic with him. He would probably return to Beacon tired, like after another long lecture from Port about his younger days, but at least he wouldn't be bored out of his mind right now if he did.

A thought about going to Beacon's library to search for a book that he could read in his free time and wasn't a book that Weiss told him to read if he wanted to pass an exam or to have decent enough grades, at least decent enough in her way of thinking crossed his mind and he seemed to lean more towards this idea more than any other idea that crossed his mind in the past few minutes.

He enjoyed reading as long as it wasn't book he was forced to read by someone. He didn't care if it was a book, or a comic book, or a manga, if he was interested in reading it, he could sit down and read it for hours. Maybe he'd find Remnants version of "Lord of the Rings" or "Game of Thrones" and who knows perharps the Remnants version of Game of Thrones would be finished and would have the better ending than the TV show. Thinking about how much he was excited for the final of this show, only for it to completely die down after the third episode came out was still making him sad and angry.

He was about to get up from bis bed, intending to go along with the idea of going to the library, but stopped himself from doing so in the last second, because another idea popped into his mind. He remembered meeting a certain girl who wanted to murder him for making her drop her ice cream, when he was searching for Blake a few days ago and remembered the fact that she gave him her contact number before they parted ways.

The idea of going to the library flew out of his mind as he started to consider contacting this girl and asking her if she had any free time today. After a few moments of considering it, he decided to go along with it. Making more friends in this world outside of Beacon wouldn't hurt him, right?

He grabbed his scroll out of his pocket and unlocked it. He searched through his contacts for a moment or two until he stumbled upon one named "The Ice Cream Gremlin". He pressed her contact and began typing a message to her instead of calling her, remembering that the girl he stumbled upon when he was searching for Blake was mute.

David Miller: Hello? Is this the girl that wanted to kill me for making her drop her ice cream all over the sidewalk after I walked into her, or did she gave me wrong number to mess with me as some sort of revenge for making her drop her ice cream?

After typing his message to this girl on his scroll, he just stared at it, waiting for her to reply. Suprisingly, he didn't wait long for her to respond. She replied to his message only several seconds later. She must have had her scroll close to herself when he typed his message to her.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Yes. This is the same girl.

David Miller: So it is you. Good to know I wasn't fooled.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Why would I want to get back at you for it? You bought me my ice-cream back afterwards, which made us even. I already said it to you the last time we saw each other.

David Miller: I dunno. There could have been a slight posibility of it happening, right?

The Ice Cream Gremlin: If you say so.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Took you a few days to write a message. I was starting to think you forgot about me giving you my number.

David Miller: I didn't forget about it. I wrote it down in my scroll right after you gave it to me to make sure it won't happen. I didn't contact you in the past few days because I've been quite busy with some stuff. Today, however, I have some free time and thought you may have some as well.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Give me a second. I'll go check if I have something planned for today. I'll be back in a moment.

He waited a moment or two before Neo's reply appeared on the screen of his scroll, underneath her previous message to him.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Good news. I have some free time today and nothing should came up today. We can go hang out.

David smiled to himself as found a way how he was going to spend his free time today. At least he won't spend the entire day sitting around and doing nothing.

David Miller: Alright. :)

David Miller: With this matter settled, where are we going to met up?

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Do you remember where this ice cream shop is? The one where I dragged you into after you walked into me?

David thought of for a moment before answering. Did he remembered how to get to the ice cream store that Neo dragged him into after he made her spill down her ice-cream? He nodded his head to himself after a moment. He did.

David Miller: Yes. This is where you want to met up.

The Ice Cream Gremlin. Yes. Unless you have a better idea?"

David Miller: No. I'm okay with this place.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: How long it should take you to get there?

David didn't answer to Neo's question right away. He put his free hand in his chin in thought, letting his brain do some quick math. How long will it actually take him to get from Beacon to the ice cream shop? At first he will have to take Bullhead from Beacon to Vale and after that he will have to do some walking through the city.

He started typing response to Neo's question as soon as the answer popped into his mind. He added a few minutes to his answer, though, because he wasn't sure it if he did the math correctly. It always has been his weakest subject in school. He was always much better at learning other languages. Weiss, being the ones who cares about the studies the most from his new friends, tried to help him out with it, and her tutoring helped him out a but, but he was still, far, far away from being decent at this subject.

David Miller: Give me thirty, maybe forty minutes.

The Ice Cream Gremlin: Okay. I'll be see you there.

David Miller: Same here.

David put his scroll away as soon as he typed this message, knowing there wasn't more to be said between him and Neo in terms of arranging where they were going to met up for their hang out. He placed his scroll in his pocket and got up from his bed. He walked over to the cupboard next to it which had a few of his belongings laying on it. Those belongings being his phone, his music device, his earbuds and his wallet.

He grabbed everything except for his phone, because he couldn't get it to work since the day he woke up in the Emerald Forest, no matter how many times he tried to do so. He placed his wallet in his right pocket, aware he may end up spending some money today. He had some Lien in it, even though he wasn't working anywhere, at least at the moment, because Beacon provided him some, because of his situation, for which he was grateful to this day.

After putting his wallet in his pocket, he connected his earbuds to his music device and placed the right earbud in his ear. He turned his music device on, hearing how some random song from his playlist started playing through his ears. He then picked up from shoes from the floor and sat back down on his bed. He put his shoes on and got up from his bed, before heading out of his and Team RWBY's dorm , starting to make his way to the place where he and Neo agreed to met up.

David wasn't suprised when he saw how the streets of Vale were filled with humans and faunus alike. Today was quite sunny day and many people must have thought it was a good day to go on a walk or to hang out with their friends or families. He wasn't suprised to see how the people continued their preparations for the upcoming Vytal Festival as well, one of those preparations consisting of putting up all kinds decorations which his white haired roommate adored so much, much to the suprise of his and the rest of her team.

He took his eyes off the posters which was an advertisement for the Vytal Festival and passed the corner. His destination appeared in his view right after he passed the corner. He took his scroll out of his pocket and checked the hour, wanting to know if he came late. He didn't. It took him a little over twenty minutes to get there. He smiled to himself, gladdened to see that his weak math skills didn't cause him to come late.

He spotted Neo standing outside of the ice cream store shorty after the said store appeared in his view, with a half finished ice cream in her right hand. She must have bought it for herself when she was waiting for him to come to their meeting spot. He shook his head, now understanding why Neo wanted to met up with him at this place.

He walked over to her, offering her a quick greeting wave, "Hey."

Neo waved back at him before typying on her scroll with her free hand, "Hey. You came a bit earlier than you said you would."

David shrugged his shoulders, "Better come early than late, am I right?"

"Right." Neo replied. She shifted her attention from him back to her ice cream and took a quick lick of it, enjoying the taste of her favourite snack.o Out of the corner of her eyes, she could see David shaking his head at her in an amused manner. She quickly typed on her scroll, wanting to know what was so amusing to him, "What?"

"Nothing." David responded as he pointed at the ice cream she was holding, "At least I now know why you wanted to met up here."

"You just figure that out? I thought it would be quite obvious." Neo looked suprised as she typed back to him, "Do you think I would miss an apportunity to eat my favourite snack after getting one?"

David placed his hand on his chin as he recalled how Neo reacted after he made her drop her ice cream, "From what I have seen a few days, no, I don't think you would." He removed his hand from his chin and placed it in his pocket, "Do you have something planned or do we improvise?"

"I don't have anything planned. I would probably think of something, but this thing came out less than an hour ago." Neo answered. "What about you?" I assume you don't have anything planned neither if you're the one asking."

"Yes." David confirmed as he rubbed the back of his head, "You see, I'm kinda new to his city and don't really know where to find places where you can spend you free time."

"When did you move in here?" Neo questioned.

"Not too long ago." David replied, "I had to move in, because of my school."

"Because of school?" Neo asked, "What kind of school are you attending?"

David shrugged his shoulders, "Beacon."

"What?" Neo asked him another question, looking suprised. She must have not been excepting this answer from him, "You're from Beacon?"

"Yes." David confirmed with a nod of his head, "I got accepted into this school and had to move into this city, because of that."

"From where did you come from?" Neo asked out of curiosity.

"I'm from a small village in Mistral." David lied as he told her the first thing which came into his mind, because he knew he couldn't tell her about him being from another world, "I won't tell you the name of it, because you most likely never heard of it."

"If you say so." Neo replied as she gazed to her side, trying think of how she and David could have spend their free time. David turned away from her as he tried to do the same thing. An idea popped into her mind several seconds later. She turned her gaze back towards him and tapped his arm three times, earning his attention. He looked down at her as she wrote on her scroll, "How about we go and play some arcade games?"

"Arcade?" David looked pleasantly suprised, "You like video games?"

Neo nodded in confirmation, typing on her scroll, "I like playing them whenever I have some free time. They're fun and they help you learn some stuff as well."

"This is something I can definitely agree on." David agreed with her, "I just wished more people, mostly those who are against them understood it."

"Exactly." Neo agreed with him, "I knew how to drive a car when I was a teen, thanks to the driving simulators I played when I was younger."

"Are you serious? You learned how to drive a car by playing driving simulators?" David wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard it as he looked to be quite impressed by it. When Neo nodded in confirmation, he smiled at her, "Wow. You color me impressed."

"What can I say." Neo returned his smile, "I'm a fast learner."

"If you say so." David responded to it with a nod of his head, before going back to the topic of the conversation he was having with Neo, "Where is the arcade that you mentioned? Is it far from us?"

"No." Neo answered, "It is actually not too far from here."

"Okay." David nodded in understanding, "Lead the way."

"Wait." Neo stopped him from pushing himself into a walk by, "There's one more thing I need to ask you about."

"What is it?" David wanted to know why she stopped him.

"I forgot to ask you this question the last time I saw you." Neo typed on her scroll, "How old are you?"

"I'm 18." David responded to Neo's question before asking her about the same thing, "What about you?"

"21." Neo replied.

David nodded his head in understanding. He and Neo pushed themselves into walk right after this clarification. He followed Neo through the streets for a few minutes before an arcade placed appeared in his and her view. He and Neo made their way to the entrance of the said place. Neo pushed it open and entered the place, followed by David.

David looked down at Neo who was walking next to him right after entering the place. She had already eaten her ice cream and was rubbing her glowed hands together as she and him proceeded to walk further into the building. He and Neo were forced to stop dead in their tracks shorty after. They scanned through the area as soon as they stopped walking further into the place. This place wasn't anything usual. It looked like any other place which had arcade games. It wasn't the thing which made them stop dead in their tracks.

The thing that made them stop dead in their tracks was the fact of how many people were inside this place at the moment. It was literally filled with people and faunus alike who came here to spend their free time, just like they did. Every arcade in their view was occupied by someone. Finding one that was not occupied was certainly going to be a problem.

David felt Neo poking his right arm to get his attention. He glanced down at her and saw her holding her scroll out to him, "Makes sense for this place to be filled with people. It's Saturday, after all."

"Yeah." David nodded in agreement and suggested, "How about we split up around the place and find an arcade that is not occupied at the moment?"

Neo nodded her head, agreeing with David's idea. They split up around the arcade place shorty after. She went to the right and he went to the left. She proceeded to make her way further into the building, trying to find any free arcade, without any success. Each arcade on her side of the building was occupied . She could only wait for one of them to become free, or for David to find a free one on his side of the building.

It was when David's voice calling out to her from the other side of the building rang through her ears. It seemed like he had more luck than her and managed to find a free arcade on his building. She started making her way towards the source of his voice. She could barely hear him, because of the people talking and the arcades ringing around her, but in the end was able to localize him with some difficulties.

She felt a frown forming on her facial features once she saw him standing in front of her least favourite arcade of all time. Basketball. She hated this arcade because her height always prevented her from getting a good score on it, "Basketball? Are you for real?"

"Why are you so..." David's confusion quickly vanished from his face, "Me choosing this arcade doesn't have anything to do with your height."

"Really?" She asked him, a doubtful look on her face, "It doesn't?"

"Yes." David nodded in confirmation, "This arcade is the only one free at the moment. Look around yourself if you want confirmation."

Neo wasted no time and looked around herself. Her frown quickly faded away from her face. He wasn't lying. This arcade was indeed the only one which wasn't occupied by someone else at this moment. She sighed internally. She didn't want to start with her least favourite arcade in this place, but this will have to do, at least for now.

"Fine. We can start with this one." She told him, coming over to his side, "But I'll get to choose the next arcade we'll play."

David nodded in understanding as Neo stopped next to him, "Alright. Sounds fair to me."

Exchanging a brief glance with Neo and after making sure both of them were ready to try get the best score they could on this arcade, David tossed a few lien into the machine, starting the game. The small elevation was lowered, releasing a few basketball balls it was holding back from their prison. The said balls slided down towards David and Neo who wasted no time and grabbed the nearest ones.

They began throwing the basketball balls towards their target, with their score going up everytime when one of them managed to land the target. Neo groaned internally as she missed to land the target for another time as she once again was reminded why she despised this arcade. She could never get a good score on it. At least this time she managed to get a better score at this arcade, than she usually did, because of David, but their score was still far away from the best one, because David himself wasn't the best at basketball either.

The counter went down and the small elevation in the middle of the arcade rose up, blocking the basketball balls from sliding down towards David and Neo. David threw the ball he was holding right down towards his target and actually managed to land it perfecly, but unfortunely the score didn't went up, because the time has already run out at this point.

"Well." David began as he looked at the score of points he and Neo had collected and it was pretty average for a game like this to say the last, "This could have gone a bit better."

"This is why I don't like to play this arcade." Neo typed to him on her scroll, "I can't get a good score on it no matter how many times I try."

"What do we do now?" David asked as he reminded her, "Now it's your turn to pick an arcade."

Neo looked around herself, attempting to see if there was any arcade close to them that was not occupied by someone at the moment. It was when she saw how two people walked away from a Wack-a-Grimm arcade. She motioned David to follow her and started making her way towards the arcade. It didn't took the long to get there. Only a few seconds. They stopped in front of the machine and eyed it. It had simple layout. Two sides and two hammers for each person and a counter on the top.

David looked at the arcade in front of him and Neo, asking, "Let me guess. Do you want to try this one?" He looked down on Neo who nodded her head in confirmation. He turned his gaze away from her and returned it towards the machine in front of them, "Okay. Let's get ready and play."

Neo tapped his arm a few times, causing him to shift his attention back towards her. She was holding out her scroll to him, "How about we make a small bet?"

"A bet?" David asked, looking intered by this idea, "You got me interested. What's on your mind?"

"How about someone who loses has to do something the other person will ask him to?" Neo suggested.

"Sounds good to me." David nodded, liking the idea, "But, we don't dare each other to do any too severe stuff. No going into store and stealing something or kissing random people on the street."

Neo placed her hand on heart, acting as if she was hurt by it, "Of course. Who do you take me for?"

David and Neo stopped in front of the in front of the machine, David standing on the right side and Neo standing on the left side. They exchanged glances, smilling at the competitiveness between them as neither of them wanted to lose this bet. After Neo tossed a few lien into the machine, they picked up the hammers from their side of the machine and readied themselves for the game.

The sign above them lightened up right after Neo tossed a few lien into it.

3

David and Neo tightened their grips around the hammers they were holding, ready to use them at any moment.

2

David and Neo exchanged one last glance, ready to see which one will be better at this game.

1

The game officially begun when a small Grimm which David recognized as Beowolf popped out of both sides. He and Neo smacked them down at the same time, almost in a perfect synchronization. More little Beowolves started popping out of the machine as David and Neo wasted no time and began smacking them down. David clenched his teeth as he increased his speed in bringing down the hammer on the Beawolves. The reason for it was because he heard how Neo's smack downs was more frequent than his which was followed by the sound of her counter going faster than his. He knew he couldn't stay behind with the points.

In the end, however, there could be only one winner, and this time, the winner unfortunely for David turned out to be Neo. She scored several points higher than him.

"Dammit." David shook his head once he saw the difference between his score and Neo's, setting his hammer down on the machine in front of him, "Looks like you've won."

"I surely did." Neo typed on her scroll after placing her hammer on the machine in front of her, smirking, "I'll have a great time figuring out a way to torture you."

"Should I be afraid?" David wanted to know if he should be nervous about the torture Neo came up for him for losing this bet.

"Yes." Neo nodded, "You'll find out what I have planned for you after we will leave this place."

"Great." David's voice was filled with sarcasm, "I'm looking forward to it."

"So am I." Neo replied, her smirk not leaving her lips, "Which game are we going to play now?"

David placed his hand on his chin, trying to figure out what they should do next, "...How about we will check if those racing arcades are free and you will show me those mad driving skills of yours?"

Neo nodded her head, liking the idea. She and David went to check if the arcades he mentioned were free. They smiled upon reaching their destination. They were. They took their seats and began playing them shorty after. The two of them spend the next hour and a half inside this place, giving themselves a chance to play each arcade in this building at least once.

David deadpanned at Neo as she held out a lime to him, smirking evilly at him as she did so, as if she was going to torture him with the taste of it. Poor girl didn't knew he liked sour stuff. If she gave him something really spicy, then he would ask her why was she torturing him so much. He wasn't a big fan of spicy food for as long as he remembered.

"This is my punishment for losing?" He questioned as he wanted to make if she wasn't messing with him or if she was serious about it, his deadpanned expression not leaving his face.

Neo nodded her head in confirmation as she continued to held the lime out to him. David shrugged his shoulders as he took the lime from her. Neo's evil grin widened as David placed the lime in his mouth and started to chew on it, keeping his eyes on her. It didn't took Neo to put everything together. Her evil grin slowly faded away from her face and was replaced with a confused expression as David continued to chew on the lime with a completely blank expression on his face as if the sourness of the lime wasn't affecting him in the slightest.

She looked at him with a defeated expression on her face, realizing that she lost her chance to mess with him, "You like stuff like this, don't you?"

David swallowed the lime he was chewing on for the past several seconds and nodded in confirmation, "I do. I always liked sour stuff."

"You couldn't have told me about it before I gave you this lime?" She asked him, "I just lost my opportunity to mess with you!"

"Why would I want to risk you giving me something which will actually question my life choices?" David asked Neo, looking at her as if he just had to explain the most obvious thing in the world to her. Neo puffed her cheeks and looked away from him, refusing to look at him, her arms crossed. David rolled his eyes at how childlish she was being right now, "Fine." He sighed as an idea how to use it against Neo popped into his mind, "I'll tell you what I wouldn't want to eat if I lost a bet like this one again with you."

"What is it, then?" Neo typed on her scroll after unfolding her arms as she looked at him again, making sure to make some free space in her brain for this information.

"Tomatoes." David responded, his answer suprising Neo.

Neo looked at him with a suprised look on her face as she wasn't excepting to hear this out of all things as an answer, "Are you serious?"

"You heard me right." David assured her that he was indeed serious as he recalled this one time when he and his friends played truth and dare and his friend Troy dared him to eat a tomato. He almost barfed, "I absolutely hate tomatoes."

"This is definitely not something I was planning to hear, but I'll take it." Neo replied as she smirked to him, "Be ready to eat some tomatoes after our next bet."

"Bold of you to assume I will lose the next bet too." David promised to himself that he will not lose the next bet between him and Neo. If there even will be one, "Now, it's your time to give me something you wouldn't want to do eat or do if you lose a bet."

"What?" Neo wanted to be sure if she didn't misheard it as her smirked faded away from her lips.

"I don't think I need to repeat myself." David stated, a smirk slowly forming on his lips, "I told you what I wouldn't want to eat if I lost a bet with you. It would be fair if you shared this fact with me as well."

Neo shook her head as she typed her response to him, "This is why you decided to share this information with me? You thought of it as some sort of a trap?"

"Maybe." David decided to not confirm or deny it, now fully smirking. Neo sighed internally because she knew that she fell into his trap. She typed the answer on her scroll and held it out to him. She wrote down a food instead of an activity, because she would rather to eat something she doesn't like instead of making an idiot out of herself in front of other people. David read what she had written to him on her scroll and his eyes widened in suprise as he wasn't excepting to see this an answer, "This is...suprising. I definitely wasn't excepting you to dislike this thing."

Neo shrugged her shoulders, "What can I say? You're not the only one who has a habit of suprising people with the things that you don't like to eat."

"You were the only person who was suprised when I told her about my dislike of tomatoes." David pointed out, "At least I now know what you wouldn't like to eat after losing a bet. I will definitely do my best to win the next bet of ours, because it will be interesting to see you eat this thing."

"What makes you think I won't win our next bet?" Neo questioned, "I will definitely make sure to try harder now, that you know about this."

"What makes you think I won't win our next bet?" David retorted.

"Nothing." Neo smirked, "Just a hunch."

David smirked back at her, crossing his arms, "I'll be more than happy to prove this hunch of yours wrong."

Neo nodded her head, accepting this challenge for the future, before holding out a scroll out to him with a question she had written on it,,"What are we going to do know?"

"Do you know any place where you can get some good food?" David asked as he placed his hand on his stomach as he grew hungry over the time he spend playing arcades, "I'm a bit hungry after all the playing we did back in that arcade place."

Neo tapped her chin for a few seconds, trying to think of a place where she and David could eat a decent meal and snapped her fingers when a certain place popped into her mind.

David made sure to look around his surroundings after he and Neo entered the restaurant to which the girl with differently colored eyes took him to. This entire place was huge. It was bigger than he excepted it to be. It had a huge scene in the middle of it and the tables which were mostly occupied by someone at the moment were surrounding it. This place must been really popular among the locals. He truly pitied the waiters and the waitresses working at this place. It must have been hard for them to keep up with all of the orders.

He stopped dead in his tracks when he glanced to his side and saw that Neo wasn't walking by his side anymore. He looked around himself and noticed her standing a few meters on his right, looking at the poster in front of her. He started walking towards her, passing by a blond haired waitress who was dressed like a maid. She must have been heading out to hand out some food, because she was holding a tray with a few food filled plates on it.

He approached Neo and asked her, setting his gaze on the poster she was looking at, "What caught your attention that you forgot to give me a signal about you splitting up from me for a moment?"

Neo took her eyes away from the poster she was reading and typed on her scroll to tell him why she split up from him without saying anything, "I saw this poster right afte we entered this place and I wanted to read what written on it."

David narrowed his eyes, reading what was written on the said poster, "A dancing contest?" He wanted to be sure if he read it correctly to which Neo nodded her head in confirmation.

"Yes." She confirmed it, "They do one once a month. It's one of their ways to keep the clients coming."

"Once a month?" David asked, "People actually participate in it?"

Neo nodded as she typed on her scroll, "You'd be suprised many people come here around the time of this contest just to give participating in it a shot."

"If they have fun while participating in it." David shrugged his shoulders to that, "Personally I wouldn't sign up for this, though."

Neo looked at David with a dissapointed look on her after she heard from him that he wasn't interested in participating it. This contest was the reason why she choose this resturant out of all places in Vale. She wanted to participate in this contest for a while now, but had no person that would participate in it with her. Her dissappointed frown went unnoticed by David, because it faded away from her face shorty after. An idea how to get him to participate in this contest with her popped into her mind.

"Find us an empty table." She typed on her scroll, "I'll be back in a moment."

David watched as Neo turned away from him and was about to start walking off somewhere, "Where are you going?"

"I need to take care of something." Neo explained, "It shouldn't take me long."

David nodded his head as he turned away from the direction Neo was walking and walked off, beginning his search for the free table at this place. He managed to find one after a moment. The search for it would have probably take him longer than it did, if he wasn't approached by a guy who was dressed like a waiter. David immediately knew he was a waiter from the way he was dressed. The waiter who introduced himself as Randy led him to an empty table.

David took his seat and looked up at Randy with a grateful look on his face, "Thanks for the help. Finding an empty table would probably take me longer if it wasn't for you."

"There's no need to thank me. I'm just doing my job." Randy replied as he pulled out a small notebook and pen, "May I take your order now or are you waiting for someone?"

"The latter." David answered, "The person I'm here with should be here with in a moment. We split up shorty after we entered this place, because she wanted to take care of something."

"Alright." Randy nodded in understanding, hiding his small notebook and his pen in his pocket, "Two of my co-workers should approach your table soon after your friend will find you."

David nodded his head, understanding what Randy just said to him as the waiter walked away from him to take care of his job. He leaned back in his seat, smilling to himself, because of how comfortable it was and waited for Neo to find him. She found him and approached him after a moment, taking her seat on the opposite site of the table. She glanced to her side, noticing the nice view her seat was giving at the large scene in the middle of the restaurant.

She grabbed her scroll and typed on it, before holding it out to him, "Nice table you found. Gives a nice view at the scene."

'It's not be you should be thanking." David replied, "A waiter stumbled upon me when I was looking for an empty table and he was nice enough to bring me to this table."

"A waiter?" Neo asked, "Did you ordered your food?"

"No. I waited with my order for you." David shook his head, "He said his co-workers should approach us soon."

Neo nodded understanding as she leaned back in her seat, just like David appreciating how comfortable these seats were. The two of them just sat there in a comfortable silence, waiting for someone to approach their table. David titled his head to the side after a moment when something caught his attention. He spotted two women, one purple haired and one blond haired, dressed in maid costumes who he instantly recognized as the waitresses walking towards him and Neo,

"Hello. I'm Chloe." The purple haired waitress introduced herself as her and her friend stopped next to the table. She pointed at Neo, holding a small notebook in her other hand, "I will be your waitress."

"And I'm Frederica." The blond waitress introduced herself as she pointed at David. He looked at her and quickly noticed her features of a leopard. She must have been a faunus, "I will be your waitress."

He nodded his head at her and picked up the menu. He looked at it, trying to decide what he should eat. His eyes slightly widened in suprise at the huge choice of food that this restaurant had. It offered a lot of meals for the people who were coming her to eat a full meal and it offered a few quicker meals for the people who were coming here with a limited time and had to eat something quickly. He ultimately decided to buy himself a hamburger, because it was a while since he had one.

He shifted his gaze from the menu to Frederica, "I'll take a Vale Hamburger, but without a tomatoe and a medium sized fries."

"Alright." Frederica nodded as she wrote his order down in her notebook, "What kind of drink would you like?"

David didn't thought twice about his choice of a drink, "Water should be fine."

Frederica nodded as she wrote this down, "Would like a dessert?"

David shook his head, "No. This should be everything."

Frederica nodded her head for the third time and turned away from him, beginning to walk towards the kitchen with his order. David watched her walk away from his and Neo's table for a second before turning his eyes away from her to look at Chloe who was still standing next to his and Neo's table, finishing writing down Neo's order.

"...And one portion of the large sized portion of three favored ice cream as a dessert." Chloe said as she wrote down the last thing in Neo's order in her notebook. She looked up from her notebook at Neo, wanting to know if she wanted to add something to her order, "Is that everything?"

Neo nodded her head in response, not wanting anything else in her mind as Chloe nodded in return. She turned away from Neo and began walking away from her and David's table, walking towards the kitchen, intending to give them Neo's order.

"Ice cream again? Didn't you eat one earlier this day when you were waiting for me in front of this ice cream place?" David asked Neo shorty after Chloe walked away from their table, suprised by her ordering ice cream. She just shrugged her shoulders at him, "How much ice cream can you eat before getting a brain freeze?"

"A lot." Neo replied.

David nodded in understanding, this answer being enough for him. He then asked her about another thing he was wondering about, "You know, I can't help but wonder. What did you have to do when we entered this place?"

Neo just smirked at him, looking forward to see his reaction, "You'll find out soon."

David nodded his head as Neo continued to smirk, because of him being completely unaware about it. Frederica and Chloe returned to their table with their food several minutes later. Frederica placed the plate with David's hamburger and fries on it on his side of the table for which David thanked her for while Chloe placed Neo's ice cream on Neo's side of the table.

The two waitresses walked away from David and Neo's table right after they gave them their food. Wasting no time, David picked up his hamburger from the plate and bit into it. He smiled. It was good. He looked at Neo who was smilling to herself, enjoying her food just like he did. She ate her food faster than he did, because she wanted to get to her favourite part which was ice cream.

As David continued to enjoy his hamburger some guy he hasn't seen before with a microphone in his right hand stepped into the scene, with Frederica who was holding a trophy which must have been the reward for winning this contest, "Ladies and gentlemen! You know what the time has come for! The time to start our monthly dancing contest!..."

David just ignored what the guy leading dancing contest was saying and just enjoyed his meal, taking another bite of it. He wasn't really interested in this contest. It's not like he and Neo would be called out by him to participate in the contest, because they weren't signed up for it.

"...Our first pair will be Neopolitan and David Miller!" David nearly dropped his food on the plate when he heard that guy call out for him and Neo.

"...What?" He asked after swallowing the food he had in his mouth, completely taken off guard by it. He turned his gaze towards Neo who was smirking at his suprised expression, as if she was excepting him to react the way he did to this announcement, "Do you have anything to do with it?"

"I signed us up for this after you went out to look for the free table." Neo crossed her arms, a smug expression forming on her facial features, "Why do you think I split up from you for a moment after I showed you the poster? I thought I made my reason pretty obvious."

David set his food down on the plate and crossed his arms as well, "Couldn't you, you know, ask me if I want to participate in this contest? Not everyone likes to dance, you know?"

"I didn't because I knew you wouldn't agree to participate in it. You said it yourself you wouldn't personally sign up for it." Neo pointed out the obvious. David had to agree with her on this matter. According to a certain character from one of his favourite superhero movies, there were two types of beings in this world, the ones who danced, and the ones who didn't. He considered himself to be the latter.

"I can't back down from it, now? Can't I?" David let out a defeated sigh, realizing there was no backing away from it, even though he didn't sign up for this in the first place as Neo nodded her head, a victorious smile on her face.

"No and I want that trophy, so you better do your best." She quickly typed on her scroll. She put her scroll in her pocket and raised her hand in the air, showing the guy who was leading the contest where she and David were sitting.

She got up from her seat right after showing the guy who was leading the contest where she and her dance partner were and began walking towards the dance floor. David let out another sigh as he watched Neo make her way to the dance floor, not liking this idea. Not one bit. The fact that the dance floor was leaving them out in the open, allowing everyone to watch them dance was not making it any better.

He didn't even know any proper dance moves for this kind of competition, because of him not being a huge fan of dancing. The only dance that he was certain he wouldn't mess up was Kazotsky Kick from Team Fortress 2 which he learned a long time ago back in his old world. He and his friends learned the the way their favourite classes were doing Kazotsky Kick. Why? None of them had idea why. They just learned it for fun.

He got up from his seat and began making his way towards Neo who was now standing next to the dance floor. She had taken off her high heeled boots, now touching the floor with her bare feets. David stopped next to her, showing off the height difference between him and Neo more than before now because of her not wearing her boots at the moment. Following her example, David took off his shoes and placed them next to Neo's boots, now touching the floor with his grey socks.

He and Neo made their way onto the dance floor, feeling how everyone had their eyes on him and Neo who seemed to be completely unbothered by it. They made their way to the middle of the dance floor and began preparing themselves for the contest which mostly consisted of taking a proper stance. They stopped in front of each other, facing themselves, waiting for the guy who was leading the contest to give them a signal to start.

"Let the competition start! May the best pair win!" The guy who was leading the contest declared, giving the two people on the dance floor a signal to start dancing.

The music started playing and David and Neo began dancing. Neither of them really paid attention to what was playing as they focused their attention on dancing. The dancing moves they were doing seemed to be completely random as if they were making them up as they went, but strangely they seemed to fit each other.

The time passed and David and Neo continued to dance, paying attention to each other and the dance moves they were doing, not wanting to get distracted by anything around them. Neo had her eyes set on David as she proceeded to dance, coming up with the dance that would fit with the moves her dance partner had come up with.

David had his eyes set on Neo as he did his best to simulate the dancing moves from one of his favourite scenes in one of his favourite movies which were suprisingly fitting with the moves she was coming up. He didn't have to worry about running out of the dance moves to simulate, because he had somehow managed to memorize all of them. Even if he did end up running out of the dance moves to simulate, he could try to improvise, like Neo was doing ever since the music started playing.

Everything should work out if he won't end up tied up to a chair in a pawn shop with a gag in his mouth by the end of this day.

David had to admit. He was suprised, beyond words, when it was revealed that he and Neo won the dancing contest in which he was forced to participate in by Neo. he wasn't complaining about it, though. It always felt great to win, no matter what it was. Neo's differently colored eyes litting up as if it was her birthday and Christmas at the same time was a nice thing to see as well. She looked as if she just won a lottery when the winners were announced.

Neo skipped along the sidewalk ahead of him like a child that just got an A in a test she didn't study for, holding her trophy in her right hand while David walked next to her, one of his earbuds in his ear as he listened to the music. He smiled to the music that was ringing in his ears, because the amusement park theme from a video game called NieR: Automata was the one currently playing through them.

This theme was actually his favourite one from the soundtrack from this game and it was actually really hard for him to choose the best one from this game, because the soundtrack of entire NieR: Automata was amazing. The moment when he as 2B stepped into the amusement park for the first time and this theme started playing with the addition of machines spinning around and throwing confetti was truly a magical one. It was the moment when he fell in love with this game and the franchise.

Neo stopped skipping a few meters ahead of David and turned around to look at him, waiting for him to catch up to her. She held her scroll with her other hand out to him, "What are you listening to?"

"To the music." David simply replied as he catched up to Neo, now standing next to her. They pushed themselves into walk again, now walking side by side.

Neo rolled her eyes at his reply as she started walking again, clearly not amused by his answer, "What kind of music?"

"You know to the one that you have to listen through your ears." David explained as Neo gave him a besumed look and puffed her cheeks, less amused with this answer than she was with the previous one. He shook his head, letting out a chuckle after seeing her reaction. He grabbed his free earbud and held it out to her, "You want to listen?"

Neo nodded her head as she took the earbud. She placed it in her ear and started listening to the music that was currently playing in David's music device. Even though, she couldn't understand any words in this song, Neo enjoyed the sound of it and began moving her head to the music and David slowly followed her example and both of them began to move their heads to the sound of this music, almost in a perfect synchronization.

When the song had ended about two minutes later, she took the earbud out of her ear and handed it back to David, who asked, "So, what do you think?"

Neo gave him thumbs up with a smile and lowered her hand. She reached into her pocket and once again pulled out her scroll, before typing on it, "It was good."

"I'm glad you liked it." David smiled back, "I fell in love in this song and knew I had to have it on my music device as soon as I heard it." He looked up at the darkened sky of the night, knowing it was time for them to part ways, "It's night. I think it's time to part ways. I need to get back at Beacon."

"How about we part ways in five more minutes?" Neo typed on her scroll, "There's one more thing we should do befoe we will part ways."

"What is it?" David wanted to know.

Instead of typing the answer on her scroll like she usually did, Neo simply pointed to her side. David looked at the thing she was pointing at and spotted a photo booth.

"A photo booth? Seriously?" He asked as he looked at her again, wondering if she was joking or not as Neo placed her scroll in her pocket.

She nodded her head in confirmation, assuring him that she was indeed serious as she grabbed David's hand into her glowed one, dragging him into the photo booth, making sure to pay for the photos before doing so. It would be quite embarassing if she forgot to pay for them, before entering the booth, right? She and David stared ahead of themselves, waiting for the photo session to start.

It wasn't long, a few seconds to be exact, before the photo session started in the photo booth started.

The first photo showed David and Neo. They weren't doing anything extraordinary on it. Just smilling at the camera in front of them as it was just an ordinary photo like any other people would take.

The second photo showed the two of them making each other horns with their fingers, their smiles not leaving their faces.

The third photo showed them doing peace sign towards the camera in front of them, still smilling.

The fourth photo showed them making weird faces towards the camera. Neo grabbed a bit of her pink hair and put it above her upper lip, pretending it to be a moustache while making a funny face as David made a face as if he just tasted the most disgusting thing in his entire life.

The fifth photo showed them both touching each other cheeks at the same time after Neo grabbed David by his shoulder and brought him down to her, making sure he was going to be on the same level height as she was. David had a slight blush on his face, which Neo thankfully failed notice, yet. He got a bit flustered by this action, because she just took him by suprise when she made this gesture.

The last photo showed Neo holding her trophy in front of them as they were making suprised faces, pretending to be suprised by the view of it, as if it just appeared out of thin air in front of them.

David and Neo came out of the photo booth shorty after the photo session ended. Neo grabbed the photos which came out of the machine and smiled at the view of them. She ripped the photos in the half and held one half out to David, wanting him to have it.

"You want me to have it?" He wanted to be sure as Neo smiled, nodding in confirmation. David took his half of the photos from her and eyed them, before folding them. He pulled his wallet out and hid the photos in it, before placing it back in his pocket. He looked at Neo who was looking at him with a smirk on her lips, "What is it?"

Neo's smirk was not leaving her face as she showed her part of the photos to him, pointing at the one picture where he was blushing slightly with her other hand.

"Don't blame me! You took me by suprise when you put your cheek against mine!" David defended himself. He didn't consider to be a person that would get flustered easily, but it happened to him from time to time, mostly when he was taken by suprise by the action he didn't except from another person, such as the one presented on the picture Neo was referring to, "I wouldn't blush if you warned me at first!"

Neo continued to smirk at him as she lowered her half of photos down so she could type down on her scroll, "Sure. Whatever you say."

"Thankfully, you kept the photo where I'm blushing." David laughed. If someone from his friends from Beacon, well mostly Yang and Nora saw the picture where he blushed, they would tease him about it to the point where he'd have to cut their tongues off. As if the pictures from a photo booth with a girl would already make them tease him.

"We can switch them if you want to." Neo offered, even though she knew David was not going to agree on it. She did it just to mess with him, "I'm sure your friends would love to see this side of you."

"No." David smiled at her, not wanting to deal with Yang and Nora's reactions after seeing this photo, "Keep it."

Neo hid her half of the photos in her pocket before typing her response on her scroll, "Alright. I guess it's time to part ways, then?"

"Yeah." David nodded, "I don't want to miss a bullhead back at Beacon, otherwise my teachers gonna have my ass." He looked at her with a grateful look on his face, "Thanks for hanging out today. I had fun."

"Yeah." Neo agreed, smilling, "I had fun today as well. We should do it again soon."

"If both of us will be free next weekend, we can do it again if you want to." David offered.

"Sure." Neo nodded, "We can hang out again next weekend if we won't have anything planned. After all, I want to win another bet with you and see your reaction to eating a tomatoe."

David shook his head at her, having a good motivation to win the next bet between them, "See you next weekend, then."

Neo nodded her head as she offered David a wave of her hand in goodbye. She started walking away from him as David watched her leave until she turned the corner and completely disappeared form his vew. David looked up at the night sky again after Neo disappeared from his view, wondering what hour it was. He had completely lost the track of time at some point of the day.

He pulled out his scroll to check the time and his eyes instantly widened upon seeing the hour. It was later than he excepted. He must have lost the track of time at some point. He shook his head, cursing himself for losing the track of time. The last bullhead would be setting off to Beacon soon. He had to come in time for it. He didn't want to deal with angry Goodwitch.

He put his scroll back in his pocket and pushed himself into run, hoping to reach the last bullhead in time.

David felt completely exhausted when he made his way back to Beacon. All the time he spend hanging out with Neo and him having to run towards Beacon in order to make it in time to take the last bullhead has definitely taken it's tool on him. The last time when he was so exhausted was after the very time his first trained him how to use his weapons which he had bought at Hunter's store properly.

Fortunely for him, he managed to reach the last bullhead just in time about a minute or two before it was about to take off. His lungs were seconds away from hopping out of his chest, but he knew it was all worth it, because it saved him from a long lecture which he would receive from Professor Goodwitch if he came late for the last bullhead. At least he was not going 'to have trouble falling asleep tonight. He knew he was going to fall asleep just minutes after closing his eyes on his bed.

He grabbed the door handle to his and team RWBY's dorm and pushed the door open, intending to lay down on his bed as as soon as possible. All of his friends who were already dressed in their pyjamas were doing the activities which they usually did before going to bed, such as Blake reading another one of her books. He closed the door and turned around to see his friends looking at him, no longer doing whatever they were doing, when he entered their dorm.

Ruby smiled once she saw him walk into their dorm, "David!"

He offered them a tired wave of his hand, "Hey."

"Where were you for the whole day?" Yang asked him out of curiosity, "You usually don't come back this late."

"I was out in the town." David answered as he started to walk towards his bed.

"Do you know what hour it is?" Weiss questioned David right after he replied to Yang's question, looking like she was about to lecture him about how irresponsible of him to was to return this late for Beacon, "Looking at the hour, you almost came late for the last bullhead. You would have to wait for another one until tommorow morning. Where would you spend the night?"

"I'm sure I would figure something out." David waved it off as nothing too severe, even though he wasn't so sure about it himself. It was the other reason why he was running back to Beacon as if he life depened on it, until he reached the bullhead. He looked at Weiss with a tired smile on his lips, "I didn't know the schools Ice Queen would be worrying about me having nowhere to sleep during the night."

"I wasn't worried about you!" Weiss shouted in response, crossing her arms as Ruby and Yang laughed at David's response, "I was merely pointing out how irresponsible you were being for coming back this late! What took you this long to get back here?"

David walked over to his bed and sat down on it, taking his shoes off, "I was spending time with someone. Lost the track of time at some point. You should have seen my face when I looked at the hour in my scroll."

"Oh, was it a girl?" Yang smirked once she heard David mention that he was hanging out with someone, seeing the opportunity to tease David, "I didn't know you had it in you."

"I don't have to answer that." David shook his head as he laid down on his bed, his gaze set on the ceiling of his and team RWBY's dorm, feeling tired from all the time she spend with Neo today. A few hours of good unbothered sleep would definitely fix this problem.

Yang's smirk was not leaving her lips as she continued to tease David, "I'll take that as yes. Tell me..."

Before Yang could continue, David cut her off, not wanting to deal with her teasing right now, because he was too tired for it, even though he enjoyed teasing his friends himself about which his friends from his world Brian and Jadis learned the hard way, "Yang, don't even think about it. And if you're going to check my scroll without my permission, I'm going to cut your hair in your sleep." Yang opened her mouth to speak, intending to warn him about how it would end up for him if he did such a thing to her precious hair, but David cut her off for the second time as he continued, "And I don't care if I'm going to end up eating all of my meals through a straw for the rest of my life. It'll be worth it."

"Yang, if David wants to keep it to himself, then he has every right to do so." Blake pointed out as she looked up from the book she was reading at the moment, sitting on her bed.

David threw his arms in the air, offering the cat faunus a tired grateful smile, "Thank you, Blake!"

His grateful smile vanished from his face when she added, "...Even though I'm quite interested in it as well"

David sighed and turned to look at Blake with a disappointed look on his face as his grateful smile turned into a frown, "...You're dead to me."

Remember when I said that I would try to get to volume 4 by the end of this year? Yeah, me too...

Nevertheless, writing this chapter was fun once I actually started writing it. The next chapter will be the start of volume 2.

Anyway, hope it wasn't that bad, see you in another chapter.
