In the Great hall, they all ate their toast. Professor DoorMatDoor made an entrance. He rushed from one door to the centre of the front.
"Children, Children!" He cried loudly.
Everybody lifted their heads to look. They were concerned.
"I've got a jar of dirt, and look what's inside it!" He said, shaking around a large glass jar full of dirt.
"It can't be…" Hermanonie whispered.
"Yes, yes Hermanonie it's what you think it is" he sang.
"How can he hear me?" Hermanonie whispered.
"Because I have a hearing aid and magic powers!" He sang.
He rushed away, holding the jar in the air and singing as he did so.
"What was that?" Frognal asked.
"It's the philos-" she stopped, "a stone Frognal, do you know what a stone is?"
"No." Frognal said in a sad voice, looking downwards.
"Exactly. There's no reason to explain anything if you can't understand it." She added.
She looked around, wondering if anyone else had noticed exactly what the professor had been holding. Her eyes glanced at all of the groups' tables. She saw Green Group's. She saw Maldono. He looked at her with a knowing nod. He knew. She knew he knew. She would have to talk to him about this later. She couldn't understand how the rest of the school were so dull and had no interest in magic at all, despite attending Hogwarts.
Hermanonie believed that she and Maldono were the only true wizards in the school. She didn't see anyone else on their level. She felt powerful.
