When the monster group got back to the restaurant, they found it flooded with workers trying to help get it fixed up. Satoru was there to help designate things with Kianna. Inichi was quick to give over all the details on what happened. Kianna was quickly concerned and livid on how they treated Mitsumi.
"Lady Mitsumi! Oh, dear..." she hissed out in a worried tone.
"I am fine, child," Mitsumi sighed and pat her furry hand.
"King and I helped show that things were fine, but Master Saitama may have endangered a bit of his own reputation," Genos frowned.
"I just wanted to get out of there!" Saitama said with irritation. "They gave a verdict. We were done. They got nosey. I smashed their building up to get us out. I was done watching Mitsumi get stepped on. And I was getting bored beyond belief."
"It is fine, child," Mitsumi sighed and was able to move from the push cart at last to stand up. "However, I feel...I want to lie down..."
"What?" Zenchu frowned.
"That meeting...it drained me..." she admitted.
"I know for a fact that we have cemented our restaurant," Inichi said.
"Good. Throw some odd thoughts their way," Zenchu nodded.
"Oh, I have done so. They questioned Mr. Saitama's intense rage. So...I nudged what they would have done to protect their own if under stress," Inichi chuckled. "Blind love is a dangerous love, indeed."
"What?" Saitama now blinked at him. "Wait. You knew?!"
"Well, of course, I knew," Inichi nodded. "And I doubt you would have believed me if I told you."
"Oh. Yeah...likely not..." Saitama frowned.
"I, too, noticed such signs that you may have been in love," Genos nodded. "But I was just too unsure from how soon it all happened."
"Why doesn't anyone tell me anything?!" Saitama asked.
"Child, come here," Mitsumi said weakly. Now he turned and found himself sitting at her side. "In an hour, we need to head back. I am far too weak to be out. I need to recover my strength. Please..."
"We need to go now, then," Saitama said and looked at Zenchu.
"We will stay to help Orotsu, Richoo and Kianna," Rendor said. Tsuruga was already planning to help stay until the other humans were gone. "Inichi will bring us back home. Have him take you all home now."
"Fine," Zenchu nodded. King nodded that he would go back home with Inichi's help later, but he did wave at Saitama.
"Come over later tonight?" King asked.
"If Mitsumi is good, then yes. We'll see," Saitama nodded. "I can call you if I can do it."
"Good. Take care of her," King ordered. Saitama gave him the usual blank stare before letting Inichi help get him, Mitsumi and Zenchu back to the apartment complex swiftly. Genos was clearly worried, but he knew the restaurant had to be made functional as a main priority until sunset. Then he wanted to escort the friendly monsters back safely. He knew when the golden snake was going to bite her again. It was always around the same time. For now, he had to show that heroes were protecting the restaurant construction. That was his mission right now until he knew it was safe to leave.
At the apartment complex, Kamiko and Tacki were there to help Mitsumi lay back on a couch. Fumio was already serving out food and drinks. Zenchu sat down and turned on the television to watch the news.
"I thought you got everything from Inichi?" Saitama asked.
"Eh. Sometimes I like to feel human by watching a stupid glaring piece of glass with pictures," Zenchu grinned. "Ah. And sipping a sake. Nothing like acting human again!"
"Oh. I guess," Saitama seemed to shrug. At a knock on the door, he got up and looked in the peep hole. "Hmm..."
"What?" Zenchu frowned. Saitama opened the door to reveal a tall, well-proportioned woman with styled up dark green hair and green eyes. She was wearing several necklaces, a form-fitting green dress with a white fur overcoat that came down to her waist and she didn't look happy at all with how her arms were at her sides. She was alone for now, but she tended to have others with her.
"Fubuki? Huh. Hi," Saitama blinked.
"I was told what you did at the Hero Association. Why did you do it?!" she asked. "You have other heroes questioning you now! And this isn't even your home, too. I heard the television on and took the chance to knock."
"Look, I don't have the time to explain anything right now. Come back after sunset. Okay?" he asked. "And I moved into this complex because my other home was destroyed. I'm a couple floors above these guys. They just like me over. And, as I said, I'm busy. Come back later."
"No! I need answers now!" she said. Then she paused at the sight of Zenchu hovering over Saitama with a curious look on his face. She actually let out a gasp from how strong he was. This monster...he'd be too much for me!
"Hmm. You're a hero, eh? Lady Mitsumi is extremely weak right now. She had to be brought home to rest. What happened at the association severely taxed her. Saitama was trying to warn your board members to stop questioning her. It pissed him off intensely. He did what he did to keep Lady Mitsumi from falling over dead from exhaustion. If you want to come in, then fine. But please be respectful. Treat us as you would want to be treated in return. Agreed?" Zenchu asked carefully.
Fubuki paused at how she was treated so neutrally by a such a strong monster. The rumors were true! There are kind monsters! I mean...how?! She nodded and was let in to sit on a couch. Fumio walked up to her with some water and lemon slices.
"Here you go!" he said cheerfully. "I need to soak in the tub again. My skin is drying out too much."
"You sound like a child," Fubuki frowned with concern.
"Yeah. I'm only fourteen. I like koi fish ponds! Like...a lot. I liked to swim with them. One day I just fell asleep in the water. When I woke up...I was like this. I didn't really have the mindset to attack, but I just kept swimming with the other fish until Lady Mitsumi woke me up. I tried to go home...but my mom just screamed at me and flung a broom at me to leave. I tried to tell her what happened...and she...said she couldn't handle it. That she was sorry. So...I'm here now. And I'm happy," Fumio chuckled. "My markings are like a clown fish, though. And I have a bit more of a tuna look, too. But...it's okay. I'm with my new family. Been with them for a year, too."
"You really are a child?!" Fubuki gaped.
"He is," Zenchu nodded.
"And you?" she asked.
"I'm an adult. Over a hundred years old now...but I'm an adult," Zenchu shrugged. Now her jaw dropped even more. "Some are even older than me."
"I had no idea..." Fubuki admitted. Then she saw how Saitama sat rather closely to Mitsumi's sleeping form. "So...what happened back there?"
"It was as I told you before," Zenchu shrugged to get her attention. "He's protective of her. However, as you are here and showing an act of neutrality, I'll go ahead and tell you in full. She is actually a young, vibrant girl. There is a golden snake on her wrist. It comes alive and injects her with venom every dawn and dusk to change her age. At night, she's young. In the daylight hours, she's old. With the summer hours, this is not good for her. Her mind is now deteriorating to a certain degree from the age."
"What?!" she gaped with horror.
"This is why Saitama did what he did. The stress could have easily killed her. To me, he saved her life," Zenchu said seriously. "If you truly believe now, and you trust what I am telling you, I will allow you to see her transformation. I don't know what Saitama will think, though..."
"Huh?" Saitama asked. He was watching the television and sipping his hot tea that Fumio brought to him.
"Can she see Lady Mitsumi's transformation tonight?" Zenchu asked.
"Oh. No. She can meet her after it's done," Saitama said and sipped his tea.
"Why not?" Fubuki frowned.
"I don't want anything to go wrong. That's why," Saitama said with his usual expressionless face.
"Ah. Hmm. Well...if she just stays put..." Zenchu mused.
"No," Saitama said again in a flat way.
"Saitama..." Mitsumi whispered. He looked over at her and tilted his head. "Is she...strong...?"
"I am B class and first rank. My sister is the one known as Terrible Tornado," Fubuki said. "I am known as Blizzard of Hell."
"If she...stays still...she may be...able...to help...as backup..." Mitsumi whispered feebly. Saitama grimaced, but he nodded.
"If you say so. I'm just done with you being stepped on by everyone," he sighed. "Fine. As long as she stays put. Inichi is aware. He was actually pretty curious to talk to her."
"Inichi...is nice..." Mitsumi sighed. "What...time...?"
"The others may be on their way back. I let Inichi know of our guest," Zenchu said with a small nod. Mitsumi fell back to sleep again, and Saitama went back to watching the television. Zenchu looked back over at Fubuki and asked, "So, what really brought you here? Curiosity? Truly wanting to know what happened? A chance to peek at us?"
"I wanted to know why Saitama did what he did. He also pissed off my sister to a whole new height by telling her that she needed a nap," she sighed.
"And she is the older one? Yet...she acts like the younger..." Zenchu mused. "Curious on that one."
"I know. Many get confused on it," she shrugged.
"Hmm. Interesting. Anyways, when the others get back, it won't be long for Lady Mitsumi's transformation. Do not interfere at any point. No matter how disturbing it is. The venom causes intense pain through her. To a point that she screams. Usually I help her with it. Saitama wanted to do it this time. We don't know what to expect. Once again. Do not get in the way," Zenchu warned.
"I am aware," she nodded and sipped her lemon water. It was a short while later when the door opened to Tsuruga charging in. He glanced over at Fubuki and snorted, but he only found a place to sit down wearily. Rendor came in next to find a place and get served up a cold drink. When Genos came in, he noticed Fubuki right away.
"Oh. They let you stay?" he asked and moved to find a place to sit.
"Yes. As long as I don't get in the way, apparently. Everything will be fine," Fubuki nodded. When she saw Kianna walk in, the last thing she expected was for the wolf-like feminine monster to sit next to her to start making pleasant conversation! Why does it feel like I'm just...meeting a group of new friends...?
"If you feel hungry or thirsty, just let us know," Kianna chuckled. Fubuki had watched Richoo and Orotsu come in to settle down while she was chatting with Kianna. It was after that when she found Tacki and Kamiko sitting by her to make small talk like a group of giggling girls over a magazine catalog. She was simply in shock on everything.
"Ah! Miss Fubuki! I was hoping to graciously make your acquaintance. After we see to Lady Mitsumi, I was truly hoping that we could talk on things," Inichi said when he finally floated in. Fubuki's jaw dropped on seeing him. "I, too, am highly skilled with ESP and other attributes. Perhaps we can have such a delightful conversation after?"
"Oh! Um...I don't see why not..." she said with amazement.
"Wonderful! Oh, dear. Mr. Saitama...it is nearing dusk. You should prepare yourself if you are to help Lady Mitsumi," Inichi warned.
"Oh. Okay," Saitama said and set his empty tea cup aside. He moved to carefully stretch himself out to lay against Mitsumi's elderly form.
"Let me tell you how to do this," Zenchu said. Saitama looked at him and nodded. For the next ten minutes, Zenchu described what to do and when. When a savage hissing sound was heard, it was now that Fubuki saw the golden snake come to life to raise up and sink its fangs into Mitsumi's wrist. After it went back to jewelry, she could only find herself completely speechless at it. It was when Mitsumi's body started to twitch that the entire room went quiet with nervous tension.
"Master!" Genos hissed.
"I know," Saitama said and focused. Now it was his turn to feel what Zenchu went through. And this will be the last time! For five minutes he wrestled with her gently, yet firmly. When she screamed out from the intense pain, Saitama kept her against him until her body stopped shaking. Then he let her go long enough for her body to change back to the youthful one.
"I...what...am I...?!" Fubuki gaped.
"We never lied to you about this..." Zenchu growled out. "Now you know."
Once the change was complete, Saitama looked at the others. They all nodded as one. He moved to quickly flick at the head of the snake to wake it up. Now the snake knew what was going to happen and it was quick to strike out. It failed miserably when Saitama grabbed it by the neck at the base of its head.
"That was the last bite you'll ever give her," Saitama said calmly and flicked up his thumb to snap its neck and kill it. The body went limp and finally uncoiled from Mitsumi's wrist. "Genos! Take this outside and incinerate it!"
"Yes, Master!" his disciple nodded and was quick to take the dead snake out of the apartment to do just that. Saitama kept holding Mitsumi close until she woke up. She looked down at her wrist and paused with complete shock. Then she looked up and found herself in further shock that it was Saitama that held her.
"It's dead," Saitama said. "I killed it. Genos is incinerating it outside."
"Saitama!" Mitsumi cried out and hugged him tight. She was bawling in tears from relief, and all he did was continue to hug her to him. "It's...over...!"
"Yeah. We'll see how you are for the next few days. Okay?" he said gently and continued to hug her close. It took her five minutes more to calm down enough to blow her nose in an offered tissue. He sat up with her and continued to keep her close to his side. All she could do was rest her head against him with her face pressed into his neck.
"Are you hungry, Lady Mitsumi?" Kianna asked softly.
"No...not yet..." she whispered hoarsely from the crying. When Genos opened the door to walk back in, he had something in his hand.
"That snake had this inside it. It looks like a tracker," Genos frowned and showed off the small electronic component. "What's more is that it is still working. The body of the snake is gone, but this is still here."
"You're not serious?!" Zenchu seethed.
"Zenchu...remember yourself, please," Mitsumi said gently.
"I'm sorry. When it comes to that asshole, I simply can't!" Zenchu growled savagely. Now she gestured for him to sit by her. He sighed and did just that to get a comforting hand resting in his hair.
"You know, if that is a tracker, can we trace where it is reporting to?" Inichi asked. "I'm not good with metallic things, but...Genos...you could be?"
"Or I contact who I know that can work with this even more. Oh! Look! It's vibrating," Genos said at the buzzing tracker. Fubuki watched him press a glowing dot for a holographic screen to appear. On the screen was a man with clipped short hair, glasses and a rather charming look to his features. That was when Inichi noticed the small birthmark on the left side of his neck.
"Ajito..." Inichi mused. "How interesting for you to contact us..."
"Mitsi...it's been a while. Hasn't it?" Ajito chuckled in a suave way.
"Go to hell!" she seethed. "Don't you dare call me that!"
"Oh, come on. You got rid of it, right?" he chuckled.
"After TWO YEARS?!" she snapped at him. "I don't know if I still have residual venom in me! It's your fault on that!"
"Look," Ajito sighed. "I know...it was my fault..."
"And you were keeping track of her all this time..." Zenchu seethed out.
"Who are you?" Ajito had to ask.
"Someone that really wants to meet you," Zenchu seemed to snarl now. "So, were you really watching every move she made?"
"Not really. More like the life of the, ah, jewelry. Research purposes. I'm not too sure where she is. Or who all of you are. But...well...if you are ready to take me back, Mitsi, I can see if everything is fine with you," Ajito chuckled.
"No way. Even if you were the last man on earth," Mitsumi growled.
"Not gonna happen. She's with me now," Saitama said and shrugged.
"Oh, is that so? Alas! I figured you would have moved on. I'll have to fix that the moment I can," Ajito mused. "I'll have to collect you somehow..."
"So...where are you?" Saitama asked now. "We could just... meet up. You know? Like how normal people do it?"
"Oh, you don't need to know that," Ajito started.
"Master Saitama, I have a lock on where the signal is from. Just so you know, I'm Demon Cyborg from the Hero Association. I am S class and ranked 14. We are coming for you!" Genos glowered into the screen.
"What?! No! I can't be traced!" Ajito gaped.
"You have a trace? We can go now?!" Saitama gave a mischievous grin.
"Ah...I can follow where Demon Cyborg has the coordinates. He is in City X. Near the outskirts of the main metropolis," Inichi said.
"Oh, yes. We're leaving," Zenchu grinned darkly. Now the other monsters came into view to show they all wanted to meet her tormentor.
"So you know, I made a lot of new friends. They all want to meet you. They have been with me through my torment. And this is both monsters and heroes. So...make sure you're presentable," Mitsumi said with a sweet croon.
"Shit!" Ajito panicked and quickly cut off the connection.
"A question to you," Zenchu said to Fubuki. "We vowed to not hurt humans. But this one...will you let it slide?"
"Well...normally I would say no, but..." Fubuki frowned. "after what I just witnessed, hmm..."
"Did you want to come with us?" Inichi asked.
"Oh, I would be delighted!" she grinned softly and her eyes flashed with a flicker of green. Saitama was quick to rise up with Mitsumi, and he looked at her directly to ask her a question.
"You want to come with, right?" he asked.
"Why not? It's a date," Mitsumi winked.
"Eh...hmm. Punching out someone that caused you problems could be a good first date, huh?" Saitama mused at the thought.
"And then King can punch you out in a video game!" she beamed.
"That's not funny!" Saitama said with a look of outrage.
"Totally is! Anyways, let's go kick Ajito's butt. Shall we? Oh! I need to change first. Old lady clothes," Mitsumi sighed.
"We will hold onto them for a few days in case you revert from any originating venom," Inichi advised. She sighed, but she nodded, too.
"Five minutes or so to change and get ready. Our home will be safe as we are all going out?" Kianna asked.
"It won't take too long..." Inichi pondered.
"Richoo and I will stay here with Fumio," Orotsu said. "We are not really the fighting type, but we can defend."
"Okay," Mitsumi nodded. Then she looked at Fubuki and said, "Thank you for being here. It...helps having another witness to this. I don't know if I'll change again, but...thank you."
"Oh. You're welcome," Fubuki smiled.
"If you have not yet eaten, then we will take care of that," Mitsumi smiled back. "Okay, Saitama. I need to change. Just give me a bit?"
"Hmm? Oh. Yeah," Saitama nodded and let her leave his side to do just that. He went back to watching the television and ignoring the others.
"So...you're counting this as a first date?" Zenchu grinned at him. Now Saitama looked at him slowly with his neutral expression.
"If she wants that, then yeah," he seemed to shrug.
"You'll let me kick that guy first, though, right?" Zenchu asked.
"You did say you had first dibs. So...why not?" Saitama shrugged again. "I'm not one to kill people."
"Hmm..." Inichi pondered. "Interesting..."
"What?" Zenchu asked him.
"I am now able to pick up on Ajito...he has been experimenting...on himself," Inichi mused aloud. "You may have met your match in power, Zenchu."
"What?" Fubuki blinked.
"Yeah. I second that question!" Zenchu now looked at Inichi.
"He turned himself into a monster out of desperation. He is waiting for us in the open. Mr. Saitama, you may have to finish him off should he still live."
"Okay," Saitama shrugged.
"You're not serious?!" Fubuki said now.
"If they say I have to kill a monster, well...I'll kill a monster," Saitama said calmly. "I don't see what other choice there is."
"What's going on?" Mitsumi asked when she walked over in a kimono of silvery sky-blue coloring. Her hair was down, though, and only lightly held up with the sparkling crystal pins. Saitama looked at her and paused. Now he stood up, walked over and pulled her close.
"We are starting our date. Let's go," he said.
"No. What happened with that jerkoff?!" Mitsumi asked again.
"Apparently he may have turned himself into a monster," Saitama said.
"Are you kidding?" she blinked at him before dying with laughter.
"Why...are you laughing?" Zenchu asked.
"Because we have heroes here that will kill him for us!" she giggled madly. "We won't have to stain our hands with human blood! Of course, you'll still get your chance to kill him, but now we won't be held accountable!"
"Oh...OH!" Zenchu blinked at the realization.
"He just signed over his own death warrant," Rendor grinned wickedly.
"I'm ready for a rampage!" Tsuruga snorted.
"Then we should go now. We don't know how strong he is or what he is capable of," Kianna said. Fumio, Orotsu and Richoo agreed to already stay in the home and get meals prepared for dinner. The others went outside to group together for traveling.
"I would still love to discuss things with you, Miss Fubuki! City X is now our next destination," Inichi said and formed the bubble around the monster group.
"I can't wait to track that idiot down!" Tacki giggled.
"He should be easy to find," Kamiko mused.
"Then let's go," Zenchu snorted. Inichi nodded and they were soon off the destination that Genos had for City X.
