Chapter One:
Aprilfoot watched her best friend, Brightfur, stalk the mouse. She was an overall good hunter…Brightfur was the kind of joking cat. They had become friends four seasons ago. Before that, they hated each others guts…
"Lets go." Aprilfoot said when the mouse scurried away. "You didn't catch one mouse! Big deal!" She said. Brightfur looked down. She obviously wanted the mouse! "Come on!" Aprilfoot said. "there will be more mice!" She told Brightfur.
The hunting patrol with Brightfur had been an hour ago. Now the sun was at its highest peak in the sky. Aprilfoot lay out and rolled around in the dust. Brightfur stalked over.
"Hey." Aprilfoot greeted.
"hey." Brightfur said.
"So…Im just going to throw this out there…Whats going on between you and Darkclaw?" Aprilfoot asked.
"What? O that….Well appearntly Darkclaw is padding after me and I just want to stay friends but you know how he can cry so I said when Leaf-Bare rolls 'round.
"I see." Aprilfoot said. She had to make her move before Leaf-Bare! She had always liked Darkclaw, but she was always to nervous to tell him.
