The moment Saitama sat down from where Zenchu had him go, he saw Genos checking for the best places to set up lights and to use his own lights. Inichi sent out a message that the dance was going to start shortly and now heroes were quickly finding their seats. When Saitama glanced over, he paused to see the four board members there. What are they doing here?!
:Ah. Sweet Mask brought them to help ensure nothing goes wrong with the heroes around us. That and he figured it would further help ensure that Lady Mitsumi would come to no harm.: Inichi explained. Saitama grumbled at that, but he noticed that the crowd got quiet. Genos was standing on a specialized pole and shining his light down from his palm. Shenjou was able to help with another light from his intense height. Zenchu was darting around with the shadows to ensure nothing was going to come out of hiding while working other lights. Tsuruga was busy pushing various boxes and structures into place as well as playing as a bouncer to keep the peace.
Fumio, Kamiko and Orotsu were setting up instruments. Richoo had optioned to help with lighting and was working to illuminate the path to the main center circle. It was five minutes later that everything was ready. The moon was shining down perfectly on the main circle. Inichi sent out a vibe for silence and started to let the instruments glow to show he was going to be a conductor.
"Amazing..." Sweet Mask chuckled. Fubuki was seated near Inichi in case something tried to interrupt him. Even Rendor and Tatsumaki were helping keep a close watch over things. Child Emperor was helping with video feed now for any hero that wanted to see the event, and Metal Knight was also assisting with the live streams easily.
"Do not let any disturb me, Miss Fubuki," Inichi said softly. "Normally Lady Mitsumi would be suspended by safety strings. I will be keeping her afloat and in the air."
"I understand," Fubuki nodded.
"Let's see what the fuss is about, eh?" Kamikaze mused and kept his arm around Tacki's feathered waist.
"The last time I saw her dance...I was speechless," Tacki said softly. "I never knew such a thing existed."
"She could even use the fans as weapons if they are set right," Kianna said.
"Oh? Maybe that would be something, eh?" Bane said.
"It's starting," Tacki said softly. Inichi brought up a violin to float and start to softly play. A mini piano was now playing with it to draw the audience in. Then Mitsumi gracefully walked forward with Genos's light shining on her to make her rhinestones and jewelry sparkle. The veiled armbands she wore snapped behind her as she walked, and she gently squeezed Saitama's shoulder as she passed him from where he sat off the main path. He watched her move to the center of the designated stage and start to work with the music as it got more dramatic.
A fan flicked out as though it was a blinking eye. Then the other came out right after it. When she bent herself back to twirl, the two fans became four. Then six. Saitama's jaw dropped. The two fans are actually multiple?! Inichi levitated her into the air for her fans to swirl around her with a skillful act of slight-of-hand.
"Oh..." a hero breathed out with fascination. Every turn she did in the air had a fan appear to teasingly cover over her before snapping closed for another to appear in its place. At a high point in the music, all six fans suddenly snapped out for an eye-catching, glittering effect before snapping closed again to repeat the pattern when Inichi placed her form right in front of the full moon. When she did a high spin in levitation, the fans appeared everywhere, yet in a single place. Everything was beautifully coordinated. It was when the fans now arranged themselves to be like a glowing set of butterfly wings behind her while she hovered in the air that Inichi reached out to Saitama.
:Approach her! Now!: Inichi urged.
"Ah...oh..." Saitama blinked. He was fully entranced by everything. He got up and walked over to where she would be landing. Instead, she reached down and let him gently grasp her hand in his gloved one.
:Pull her down gently and twirl her! I'll show you how and guide you!: Inichi instructed. He filled Saitama's mind with the steps and moves needed. Saitama was now able to carefully pull Mitsumi into his arms, twirl her aside, pull her back in and dip her. Then he let her twirl around him with the fans leaving small breezes behind him to snap his cape back. He started to let the music guide his actions with her. He had no idea what he was doing, but the crowd was in complete awestruck silence. When he dipped her again to press a kiss of claim on her mouth, it showed the dance was over.
"Bravo!" Spring Mustachio said when he stood up to clap with Golden Ball and the rest of the stunned audience. Saitama stood up tall now with Mitsumi shamelessly pressing into him to show she wanted no other. The fans were able to slip back into a single set of two and flick closed right after to settle at her sides.
"You are amazing," Saitama whispered in her ear.
"You are stupidly strong," she grinned back and got kissed with full agreement. "Should we tell them all about the phone calls?"
"Ah. Yes. While everyone is here," he nodded. Now Inichi set the instruments down and gave a mental call for silence. "Mitsumi's mother made herself known. She called my phone earlier. Inichi found her. She's in City L."
"What?!" Sweet Mask gaped. The board members now paid close attention to start taking down notes.
"I don't want any of us to go after her. She needs to come to us," Saitama said carefully. "We don't know what she has planned. So, we have to thin out the family bit by bit."
"That would make sense," Tanktop Master nodded. "This way they don't have strength in numbers."
"Exactly," Saitama nodded. "If they reach out again, we will inform you."
"My youngest brother contacted me, too. And it was his ring that we found in Ajito's lab when a cure had to be found for me. I had residual venom...apparently..." Mitsumi frowned. Saitama scooped her up to hold her close and sigh hard. He pressed a kiss to her forehead to help calm her further.
"She's cured now! I have other batches of the antidote made, too," Child Emperor said from where he was hovering in the air.
"What were the components?" Metal Knight asked through a small robot.
"Very complex and rare. I'll send you a few samples," Child Emperor said.
"Only if you vow they will not be used against me, my family of monsters here or any innocents. And this would include any monsters before I have had a chance to speak with them," Mitsumi said with a slightly commanding air.
"I would never dream of such a thing," Metal Knight vowed.
"Hmm...that is a partial truth," Inichi frowned. "I may not be able to fully sense you, but your voice is giving it away. Child Emperor, I am disagreeing with you. Until we meet with Metal Knight directly in some form, we cannot accept his request. Gaining files? Fine. But sending over something that directly harmed Lady Mitsumi for two years? I cannot allow it."
"We shall make arrangements," Metal Knight said.
"Very good. Just think of my name. It is Inichi. I will hear you," he said calmly. "It is not that we don't think you can help us identify what is needed. It is just...a very delicate matter. These toxins...they did make Lady Mitsumi age into an elderly form. And these same toxins stayed in her system for a prolonged state of time due to the longer day hours. Genos can fill you in on the discovery. Should we build trust with you, he can share the notes he found."
"Agreed," Genos nodded.
"I don't plan to do anything tomorrow. It's a day off. Unless it's an absolute emergency, do not reach out to me," Saitama said with an eye roll.
"You're tired now?" Mitsumi smiled softly.
"Yeah. I am," he admitted. They kissed each other softly and got approached by Sweet Mask.
"I had forgotten that you knew how to do that," Sweet Mask sighed. "Absolutely amazing and stunning. Thank you for sharing it."
"You're welcome," Mitsumi nodded.
"You know...if I remembered this back then..." Sweet Mask started until Inichi swiftly floated over and smacked his head. "OW! What? Why?"
"Recall who is holding her..." Inichi growled low in warning. Saitama was just staring at Sweet Mask with a blank expression. But then Sweet Mask saw how Saitama's fist was clenched and ready.
"Of course. If anything insistent happens, you will be notified," Sweet Mask nodded and quickly walked away to rub at the back of his head.
"Let's go inside," Mitsumi whispered to get Saitama to look at her and nod.
"Inichi didn't let me hit him," he muttered. "He hit him for me."
"That's a good thing," she chuckled.
"No. No it isn't. He hit me before. I still have to hit him back. I guess I'll have to wait for him to mess up again," he said and started to carry her inside. He started to relax when he felt her snuggle into his neck. He sighed and paused at the sound of someone running over.
"Lady Mitsumi!" Tacki said and was able to trot over to her.
"Oh! Yes, Tacki?" she smiled.
"Um...Kamikaze wants to stay for some time. He wants to get to know me. He called me his girlfriend," Tacki seemed to blush.
"Ah! Well, this whole building is ours now. I bought it today. Feel free to decorate any room you want and claim it!" Mitsumi beamed.
"What?! Really?! We...we have a home?" Tacki gasped with shock and burst into tears of joy. Saitama let Mitsumi hug her to comfort her and help share the news. When it was told the surrounding land was also claimed, Tsuruga and Rendor were going to go around and judge how much land was purchased.
"We'll set up a watch," Tsuruga grunted.
"I'm sure Shenjou can help with that. We can use his venom to make some form of a boundary line," Rendor nodded.
"Hey. What's going on?" Tatsumaki asked.
"Ah. It appears that Lady Mitsumi bought this apartment complex with her intense funds. This includes some of the surrounding land. I will need to see the contract to judge where to set up areas of watch and places to block out entry for safety. We do not want trespassers. It's mainly safety for what we are and how we are usually perceived by others," Rendor chuckled. Tatsumaki looked at him and saw a desolate building in the distance. She focused on it for it to glow green and crumble away. Then she started to show how she could form an incredibly sturdy wall within seconds.
"You tell me where to make it," she said with a small glare at him.
"Ah...sure! I can do that," Rendor said.
"After it's done, I want to see if we can find what changed you. I mean it," she said and floated up to settle back on his shoulder as an act of complete and solid claim. Tsuruga found himself laughing at his brother's look of surprise and moving off to start scouting the perimeter.
"You look tense," Fubuki said and pat Inichi's side. "What's going on?"
"I saved Sweet Mask's life," Inichi frowned. :He was about to state that he would have consented to proposing to Lady Mitsumi if he recalled her unique fan dancing skills. Mr. Saitama was ready to punch him out of existence.:
"What...?!" Fubuki gaped. Inichi placed a small, lightly clawed finger to her mouth to keep quiet. She nodded and gave out a sigh of irritation. :That's just...does he want to die?!:
:He had forgotten who was holding her. I graciously reminded him. I think I left a bump on the back of his head, too: he sighed. "We need to help see the others out. Also, ah, feel free to pick a room in this complex."
"Oh? I think I can go for a corner balcony," she smiled. "I always wanted one of those. Five floors up?"
"We can do that," he nodded. "You can start up a list for decorations. Tacki and Richoo will clear the place out and ensure it is habitable. Hmm. We will need to start paying electrical bills here, though. I'm sure Lady Mitsumi will set up a credit system with each utility, too. We'll need to get on that."
"Tomorrow?" Fubuki asked and ran a finger underneath him. His red eyes popped open wide before he glanced at her with a slightly wicked, fully toothed grin. She got rewarded with a pleasuring jolt right back. "Cheater!"
"You started it," he chuckled. As they now looked into escorting the other heroes off the grounds, Kamikaze was still feeling troubled. He spotted where King and Kianna were and made his way to them.
"So, Kianna," Kamikaze said on approaching her and King.
"Yes?" she asked and gave a healthy lick to King's cheek.
"I need some...eh...advice..." Kamikaze sighed.
"On what?" King asked.
"How far have you two...eh...?" the swordsman asked.
"Ah...not far at all. We just started dating. Even then, I don't think it would be right for now," King said with a mild blush. "We just hang out, share a meal and play some games. Sometimes a small walk outside. Nothing intense."
"So...no kissing...touching..." Kamikaze started.
"No. Some hair petting, though," Kianna said with a soft laugh.
"Tacki...showed me what she looked like. From a magazine she kept. She brought me to it. I didn't even know she had it," Kamikaze said calmly. "Can we find that thing that changed her?"
"She showed you?! Wow. That's...different of her. And she was the one that brought it up, too. She must really like you," Kianna blinked with shock. "Usually she always refuses. It...hurts her too much."
"I know," Kamikaze frowned. Kianna sighed and nodded. "For now, though, I need to know what she likes and doesn't like."
"From what I know, it's always been cleaning, making new clothes, rebuilding, redesigning...she's always on the go. The moment we get into a new place, she scrubs it clean. So, if you want to really show you want her around...take her to your place," Kianna grinned in her wolfish way. "You'll have a sparkling clean home in under four hours. And that's tops."
"What?!" Kamikaze blinked.
"It's difficult to explain, but our skills we had as humans get heightened as monsters. My sense of smell is intense. Anything that a wolf had, I have now to the most extreme of the extremes. I studied them in life until a weird one attacked me. I don't know what to do about it. I only hope that Child Emperor can figure out what that was to help cure me," she said.
"What about the octopus guy?" Kamikaze asked.
"Orotsu? Oh! He was a very famous chef. Quite skilled for his seafood cooking, but he could cook almost anything. He specialized in octopus meals. Someone brought him a rather unique one, but they didn't tell him it was still alive. It...bit him...and he woke up the next morning like that..." she blinked with realization. "Lady Mitsumi was able to free him when she heard he was storming a low class restaurant to free all the fish in the tanks. But...the way he became like that...why does some of this seem familiar? Like to me? I got bit by a wolf. He got bit by a weird octopus. Something isn't...adding up. I'm surprised I didn't realize this sooner."
"Hmm. So...Fumio swam with fish. I don't think he was bitten, but we don't know for sure. What about Tsuruga?" King asked.
"He was a cattle herder, from what I understand. He slept on the fields one day and woke up like that. He was the one we found before Richoo, too, a few months ago. He was charging blindly into several buildings for the red coloring on them. Mitsumi showed him the white flower to focus on. That broke him out of it and all he could wonder was why he was so mad at a color," Kianna chuckled. "He was a monster for three months."
"I think we are digging into something deeper now," Kamikaze frowned and kept chewing on the stick in his mouth. "But Tacki was cursed, right?"
"That's what we know. Same with Rendor and Kamiko," Kianna nodded.
"And Richoo?" King asked.
"He said he was drinking water and then ate some jelly. I don't know what to make of it," Kianna admitted. "He actually did go back to his family a couple nights ago while all of us were resting. As much as they are afraid of him...they are happy he is alive. He said he would do all he could to try and become normal again. To at least give him a year of trying. He did laugh when he shocked his wife on how he finally helped clean the house!"
"Heh. I'd be pretty shocked, too," Kamikaze nodded.
"We need to make a list of who had what happen to them," King said. "We really need to figure this out."
"Okay. We can do that tomorrow. Oh, King, I heard that Lady Mitsumi purchased the apartment complex. Inichi just told me. So...would you like to move in and claim a room?" she asked with a small grin.
"Ah...really? Um...would I pay rent?" he asked.
"No," she chuckled.
"Huh. Give me a day or two to think about that," King grinned now.
"Really? Free room and board, eh? I'm not one to really stay bound down to a spot for long. I'll have to think about this," Kamikaze mused.
"Why?" Kianna asked. "Ah! Because of Tacki?"
"Pretty much. I know I just met her, but...there's something I like about her. That spunky picture! I had no idea a girl could look so cute like that. Come to think of it, the feather hair she has sort of resembles it. And she only needs a top? No bottoms?" he asked.
"Well...her top is...a bit bare from feathers," Kianna giggled softly. "So, yes, she mainly wears a loose tank top that attaches on the sides for easy cleaning and changing out."
"Interesting. I'll have to see if I can get to that point to see. Respectfully, of course. As always, can't rush these things," Kamikaze said. "Maybe see how it goes for a few days first."
"That would be best," Zenchu said from behind him to make him jump. "Everyone is pretty much gone. We should all settle in for the night. So, if you want a room...claim one. Decorate it as you like. Just know that Tacki may arrange things for you the moment you set down a box. That's if she decides to try staying with you."
"Oh. Okay," Kamikaze nodded. As they continued to converse, Mitsumi was busy removing the jewelry and armbands to set aside in the bedroom. Saitama had already changed into just his boxers to come up behind her to hug her and kiss her cheek. She laughed softly with him and leaned into him.
"So...shopping date tomorrow?" he asked and squeezed her gently.
"Yes. What all do you plan to make?" she asked.
"Oh...just some steamed rice, vegetables...whatever meat is on sale. A few spices, too," he shrugged.
"Ah. I was thinking the same, but I would be sautéing all of it with a type of sauce and let it simmer together lightly in the pan," she giggled.
"Ah..." he started and frowned. "Yours sounds better than mine."
"Well, we said we'd cook for each other," she said and was finally able to remove the dress to change into a light pink sleeping gown.
"And that dance...wow...I never knew something like that was around!"
"Well...technically it no longer is..." she frowned.
"Oh?" he asked and lay back in the bed with her to let her rest on him.
"My mentor...she passed away shortly after I mastered it," she said softly. "She was training my sisters, but neither of them paid much attention. When she saw how quickly I was picking up on it, she focused all of her time to me. She let my sisters do what they wanted. Even leave the dancing studio! I loved how the fans would twirl and split apart with a flick of my fingers. So she taught me the art of fan dancing. After I mastered it, she said 'Now I can rest'. The next day...she was gone. Passed away in her sleep."
"I see..." he frowned.
"It's...why I sort of want a dojo. To teach this amazing dance. You know?" she said softly. He kissed her forehead before kissing her.
"I know," he said gently and ran a finger over her cheek. "As much as I'm not one to be part of it...if it's important to you, then we can get it done."
"I love you," she smiled and got kissed softly.
"I love you, too," he smiled back and sighed at the feel of her against him. "I was also thinking about something."
"Oh?"
"If you...do get pregnant while we're dating..." he said gently and looked at her. "You know we have to get married."
"Oh!" she blinked. "But..."
"It wouldn't be right to me to do that to you," he said seriously. "And with how we are already...why shouldn't we?"
"We...just met...and we're trying to...figure things out...though...right?" she whispered and got pulled close.
"I already have things figured out. And so do you," he smiled and kissed her passionately. When his phone rang, he gaped at why it was next to the bed. "Crap! What now?!"
"Just answer it, dear," she sighed and let him reach over to grab it.
"Hello?" he said with a mild form of irritation. "Yes. She's with me in bed. We were going to bed. What do you want? What?! No. She does not need to become a hero. It was a dance. She has no actual powers."
"What's going on?" Mitsumi frowned.
"They want you to apply to become a hero," Saitama said and shook his head. "It's a board member that saw your dance."
"Oh. It's a nice gesture, but that's your job, dear. The only real super power I have is agreeing to get married to you," she grinned.
"What?" he asked and grinned back before kissing her intensely. "Eh? Oh. You're still there. Okay...I'll put you on speaker..."
"Miss Mitsumi," the board member said. "you do have a very intricate super power. That dance mesmerizes and amazes. Not only that, but you are the only one known that has it. One other older lady did know this, but she said she was too old to do much more. She was training an eager student. You are the student she trained. Does the name Mami Ito mean something?"
"Ah...!" she gasped. Saitama blinked and glared at the phone.
"We will make you class S and rank 10 if you agree to this," the board member said. "Sweet Mask already approved it."
"I don't know..." she admitted. "Do I have time to think about it?"
"Yes. We can give you a few days," he said.
"Okay," she said and let the phone disconnect. Now she saw Saitama's look of pure amusement. "What's that look for?"
"Class S. Rank 10. And I'm rank 3. You know...I think there's a big hidden motive for this," Saitama mused.
"Oh?" she asked and got pulled into his arms after he set the phone aside.
"With you being a hero, your mother can't touch you," he grinned. Now her jaw dropped. "Granted, the fan dancing is amazing. I've never seen it before. It fully caught my attention! And if it can help distract others around you long enough to get things done..."
"So...now you think I should accept it?" she asked.
"Not yet. We'll bring it up to the others. Oh. Another super power. You can make monsters see the good in themselves," he said with a gentle smile. "That's if they have any good in them to begin with."
"That I can..." she said and got kissed intimately. "But...if I become pregnant...how would it work?"
"I'm sure we can figure that out if something happens. And, eh...the only way to do that would be to see if we get to that point. So..." he grinned and kissed her again before turning off the light.
