The sun felt warm against my bare back as I tried to go back to sleep, but it's useless with Scorpius's arms wrapped around me so tight. I tried to move out of my husband's embrace, but it's no use, really. He always does this, as if I were going to apperate away from him in the middle of the night.

It's been one year since we got married at this house on the beach.

"Morning, Malfoy," I hear him say with a yawn, pulling me onto his chest.

"Are you going to get tried of saying that every morning?" I ask?

"Never," he said with a yawn, kissing my shoulder. "I still can't believe it."

"What?" I said, pulling out of his reach to give him his potion for his legs. They're still too stiff in the mornings without it. Draco said with time they will go back to normal. "That I got over the fact that you're a git?"

"Yes," he smirked, taking the potion and making a sour face. "I meant that you're still going to see Lorcan today."

I let out a huff. "Hugo, Shaina, and Lysander will be there too. He's back from traveling. Are you still worried that I have feelings for him? After being together five years?"

"Nope, just worried that every time he sees you, you break his heart." He told me with another kiss.

I nodded, kissing him again before getting out of bed and changing. We've shut the windows, as the beach is getting too cold for this time of the year. I can look out our bedroom window and see the exact spot we got married.

Scorpius slowly gets out of bed and goes to the bathroom to shower, then headed off to work. Still as an Unspeakable, but he's a less tight-lipped about what he does. Maybe it's because we're married, or that my dad is the Minster of Magic. Either way, I know he's going to work in the time room.

I kept getting dressed, pulling the necklace Scorpius gave me over my head, always touching the heart, feeling it beat to the rhythm of his heart.

We say our goodbyes as we apperate to different places, but together later.

I close my eyes, the ocean in my ears one minute, the next, the bustle of London calling out to me. I follow the street into a small pub, already seeing Lysander with his arms around yet another girl. The player. He's talking her up and I grab a paper. Dad is on the front page talking about another reform for magical creature rights.

The Leaky Caldron isn't super busy, just enough for people to nod at me as I sit next to a very pregnant Shaina. "Don't you dare say it."

"You look beautiful," I smirk. She thinks she looks too fat, but that's my godchild she's carrying and there's no way I'm going to let her think anything negative.

"That's what I keep telling her," Hugo said, kissing the top of her head, taking the seat next to her.

"Well, at least I'll be home to see the little guy." Lorcan said, sitting next to me with a brighter smile than normal.

"Or girl," I shrugged, placing my brunch order with a tap of my wand.

"Not this again," Hugo smiled. "We will love the baby, no matter what. Want to go get something from the buffet?"

"Yes, please. I swear this kid wants nothing more than to eat." Shaina laughed, letting Hugo help her get over to the line before I directed my attention to Lorcan.

He smiled back at me, taking a drink of his juice. "You look chipper for a guy back from the States." I told him. "Spill. Did you find a new species? Your great grandfather let you use his case?"

He let out a small laugh, shaking his head. "I found a girl."

"Those are wild. Some need tamed." I teased. "It's been a while since you've dated. What changed your mind."

"You."

"Oh."

"In a good way," He continued. "Your wedding vows, actually. You were right. About chasing the feeling of love. I was in love with the idea of the two of us together, but I just wanted what you had. Took me a long time to figure that out."

I give him a hug. "I'm glad you found her then."

"She's brilliant." He beamed. "Loves adventure. Cares deeply about animals."

"A perfect match," I laugh as a little girl waved hi to us in a little quidditch uniform. Next week I train again, but this time, it will be with Nick and me as co-captains of the England team. I have hello back to her as Hugo and Shaina come back with a plate load of food.

"So," Shaina says, taking a bite of sausage. "When will we be seeing little Malfoys hanging around?"

I laughed and shook my head. Scorpius and I had talked about the idea of children a little, but not now. He's been around my family long enough to change his stance on children. He hasn't said it aloud yet, but every time he plays with the littles, he's shoots me a wide smile. If we have children, I just know it won't be one. Not with the way he grew up. "We just want to enjoy being us together before adding more chaos into our lives. If it happens, it happens. If not, we'll be fine, just the two of us."

We eat before saying our goodbyes. I got shopping for the things we need at our house.

Our house.

The day after our wedding, it was officially ours. Everything I dreamed of. A view of the ocean, the calmness that helped with the weight of our busy lives. The room we shared was on the ground level, with rooms upstairs that currently held my quidditch gear, some of Scorpius' unique experiments, and a bed for whenever we watching my nieces and nephews.

I finished up our shopping and head home. Some nights Scorp is home early, others I've already fallen asleep. Today, he's beaten me home, and the house smells like it.

I love him. I really do, but I he can't cook. Even when he lived alone, he just ordered out food. "What are you doing?" I asked, getting all the smoke out of the kitchen.

"I was trying to get the dessert ready for your parents' anniversary. My mom taught me how to do this."

"And you still can't manage it," I teased, fixing where he messed up.

"Nah, I just figured you'd come back and take over."

"Git."

"A git you love." He added, giving me a quick kiss. "How were your friends?"

"Great, actually. Shaina is so done with being pregnant." I told him, grabbing the rolling pin and tossing some flower out.

"I thought they wanted seven kids or something drastic." He teased, finding the chocolate in the bags I brought back. It's one of the small things I've noticed through the years. He eats it after some days at work.

"How are four and seven the same?"

"I don't know, but the Weasley clan is going to take over all of Hogwarts at this rate."

"Almost like the Blacks in the third century?" I teased. Turning to face him. My husband, the ever handsome, smart, git that he is, just smirked at me.

"I was just going to suggest we add some Malfoys to that list."

"Like right now?" I got out.

He shrugged. "Like whenever we're ready? If that's what you want."

"I want you." Told him, wrapping my arms around his waist. "No matter what the future holds. I just want you."
