Author's Note:

I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter, it's a lot of filler. But, I'm back? There's about one more chapter left in this fic. Possibility for a sequel if I get inspired. Hope you enjoy!

"Hermione doesn't want us."

"What do you mean? What happened?"

"After she found out we were her parents she explained that she didn't need parents," she explained slowly, on the edge of tears.

Despite her near sobs, she heard her husband give out the faintest sigh of relief. She gave him a strange look.

"When she was born, before she was born even, I was ready to be a father. As ready as I was going to be anyway. But, now, how am I supposed to raise an eighteen-year-old? Much less the eighteen-year-old of you and me? She is unbelievably powerful, not to mention loyal."

"I don't know how to leave her alone."

"I will help you, I always will. We can help her without parenting her."

"How are we supposed to do that?"

"Send her our journals. I had planned on do it anyway, I won't be able to speak to her for a long time after what I did. I assume you know what happened."

"I do, but I need you right now. We can argue about it later."

After a moment of silence in each other's arms, Artemis said.

"We'll see how it goes when you send yours. I'll consider it."

"Could you tell me about my parents?" Harry asked Artemis. "I've spoken to Sirius and Remus, but apparently things were quite a bit different than they remembered it."

"I would be happy to, but Sirius and Remus should help. They'll know some things I don't and stop me from being too biased."

—- - —-

"You and my Mum, you were…?" Harry didn't know how to approach the question.

"I loved her, she loved me. I really can't explain it any better than that, I've tried."

"What about after Hogwarts?" Harry asked.

"As Head of the House of Black I met with Voldemort, created an alliance with our House."

"You aligned yourself with him!?" Harry asked, outraged at the information. "He killed my parents!"

"I did. But in doing so, I called myself his equal. It gave my family the ability to choose whether to join him or not. Bellatrix and Regulus joined him, giving Sirius the ability to join the Order of the Phoenix and not get killed, and I thought it extended protection to your parents."

"Why did Regulus join?" Sirius asked.

"He said he felt like he had to, but I think he was always going to do what he did. Betray Voldemort, even if it killed him."

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked, he had not heard that Regulus had betrayed Voldemort.

"Regulus died stealing one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, Sirius and I destroyed it."

"Are you going to tell him what you conveniently forgot to tell me until after we destroyed the darkest object known to wizardkind?"

"That was the night I found out I was pregnant," Artemis explained with a roll of her eyes and a deeply-pained sigh.

"That sounds like something Hermione would do."

Artemis smiled at hearing that but continued on.

"But I've missed some other important details. Meeting Voldemort that day at Grimmauld Place was where I met my husband. Shortly after that meeting, Malfoy asked for permission to propose to Cissy, I asked her she agreed. I got married, Lily was my Maid of Honor."

"I thought that was just a muggle thing," Harry asked.

"It is, but I wanted her involved so I researched muggle wedding customs. She and my marauders were hiding under the invisibility cloak."

"Your marauders?" Harry asked.

"James, Remus, and I," Sirius answered.

"James and Lily got married. Hermione was born. Antonin went to Azkaban but we still saw him regularly. A prophecy was heard by Dumbledore, but also by Snape and myself. I had been suspicious of Dumbledore. As soon as Snape walked away, I begged him not to tell Voldemort, but he already had. Used a modification of the Patronus charm to send a memory. Before Lily and James went into hiding, I gave Lily blood protection. My daughter was kidnapped, I did everything I could to find her but I couldn't. On 31 October 1981, I was obliviated from the world by Molly Weasley using my own spell no less. Then, I was pushed into the House Tapestry. Here I am."

"Molly wouldn't do something like that," Harry defended. Hermione rolled her eyes, she had snuck in sometime while Artemis was explaining what had happened.

"She wouldn't do something like that to you, Harry," she corrected.

"Hermione," Sirius exclaimed jovially when he saw her.

"I came to return a book. I'll be on my way. Sorry for interrupting," Hermione said before walking away.

Sirius followed her. Artemis continued telling Harry about her life.

"She was upset that my husband killed her brothers and that my daughter and I could see him in Azkaban."

"How did you get to do that?" Harry asked.

"I petitioned the Wizengamot. About majority of them were Blacks, so I was the Head of House to them."

"Carina is a constellation," Sirius said. "It contains the second brightest star in the sky. The brightest being Sirius," Sirus pointed out.

"And what is Artemis?"

"An asteroid… What are you thinking?"

"Mrs. Weasley. I always thought she was just secretly a blood supremacist or something, but it turned out she hates me because of my father."

"What did she do?" Sirius asked, as serious as he had ever been.

"When Harry and I were staying at the Burrow before the World Cup everyone except for the two of us was playing Quidditch. She came over to me and made it very clear that the only reason that someone as 'filthy and foul' as I was allowed over was because Harry insisted. It also makes sense why I survived the Battle at the Department of Mysteries."

"Hence she would never do that to Harry. To be honest, Hermione, I'm very glad you survived that Battle. Have I ever told you how grateful I am for what you did that day?"

"You don't have to say anything."

"I'm very grateful. If there is anything that you need, I am here. Remember that. I have something for you inside. Let me go get it and I'll let you go wherever you want."

"Alright."

Sirius gave her a box that contained the journal of Antonin Dolohov's spells and a letter from him. At first, she didn't want to look at them after she realized what they were. But eventually, her curiosity got the better of her.

"But I'm getting off-topic, you wanted to hear about Lily and James."

Artemis told Harry stories of his parents. Remus added some too. Even Artemis learned some things.

"We were all shites when we were younger," Remus started.

"James did have his moments though. We tended to balance each other out." Remus then told them about the time James saved Snape.

"Sirius sent him to the Forbidden Forest. On the full moon."

"He didn't!" Artemis exclaimed.

"You didn't know about this?" Remus asked.

"No. I'm going to kill him!"

"Who are you going to kill?" Sirius asked, coming back.

"Apparently, Artemis didn't know that you sent Severus to the Forbidden Forest."

Sirius' eyes widened almost comically and a grimace developed on his face.

"Ah. That was a long time ago."

"Why would you do that?" Harry asked.

"Lily was leading James on, she was arguing with Artemis. But she went with Snape to the Yule Ball."

"Really, Sirius?" Artemis scolded.

"It was stupid, I was stupid."

"Yes, you were."

"I'll be on my way. I have to prepare Black Manor for having Cissy and Draco over tomorrow. You should come over for dinner," Artemis told Sirius.

"If you want to impress Hermione, House Elves."

"What about them?" she asked.

"She made some organization in Hogwarts, the Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare, or something like that. Free the House Elves, she'll appreciate it."

"I believe that could be arranged. I can pay all of the house elves in the House of Black one galleon per day and in a year double it to two galleons per day. In a few months I can ask other Houses to do the same."

"I'll see you tomorrow," Sirius told her in leaving.

"Thank you for inviting Draco and I, Artemis. Draco, this is my cousin Artemis and her husband Antonin."

"Nice to meet you again."

"Thank you for coming." Artemis asked as the three sat down in the tea room.

"I must be leaving," Antonin announced.

"You will be back for dinner with my brother, won't you?" Artemis asked.

"I will," he responded before leaving.

"It's good to have you back," Narcissa told her cousin.

"If you don't mind, where did you go?" Draco asked.

"It depends on how much detail you want. The most simple explanation is that on 31 October 1981 Molly Weasley used my spell against me to make everyone forget everything about me and I was trapped in the Black Family Tapestry until my daughter's parentage was revealed and thus broke both spells. Any questions?"

Draco was speechless, and his face portrayed this.

"Molly Weasley?"

"Yes, Molly Weasley née Prewett, former Pureblood."

"Former Pureblood?"

"I banished her from the House of Black, which took away any Black parentage she had. I'm not sure if she still has her magic, actually."

"Is the House of Black in a feud with the Weasleys?"

"Not the Weasleys, just Molly. In 1981, she kidnapped my daughter and trapped me in a tapestry for seventeen years."

"Have you found your daughter?"

"I have."

"If she tells you whom her daughter is, remember to act respectable," Narcissa projected into her son's head.

"How did you do that?" Draco asked.

"Did she project something? It's Black Family Magic, not Blood Magic which is how Hermione was able to project to Sirius. Only other Blacks can project back, even then it can take some work."

"Granger?" his eyebrows went to his hairline before an expression of guilt hit his face. "That doesn't really fit the Black naming patterns."

"Her name is Carina Hermione Dolohova, but I've always called her Hermione."

"You know something, tell me," Artemis projected into his head.

"My Aunt tortured her a few days ago, in our Manor," he projected back using the path she had projected into. Draco hadn't noticed that she had continued speaking the entire time. She nodded slightly to show she had heard him.

"I'm not sure why, I'm the Head of a House."

"You did kill the Dark Lord, a lot of people are grateful for that. You also have the support and control over all former Death Eaters. The Ministry doesn't want to be against you, so they pull you to their side."

"How I have missed your wisdom, Cissy."

"It has been wonderful seeing you, Artemis but Draco and I should be going."

"Thank you for coming, you are welcome any time."

—- —- —-

"Did Sirius leave?" Harry asked Remus who was organizing some books in the library.

"He went to Black Manor to have dinner with Artemis. How is Hermione doing?"

"I'm not sure. She's been staring at the tapestry for a few hours. I don't want to bother her, but I'm worried. You know?"

"I understand, Harry. Have you two spoken at all?"

"I don't think I should be the one to bring it up."

"I think you are one of the few that could."

—- —- —-

"Thank you for joining us, Sirius."

"I'm glad you are back, Artemis."

"I have a plan that I think would benefit from your help, but first I need to ask you a question. What do you know of the night I came back?"

"I noticed a shift in the wards, I came downstairs. Narcissa and Bellatrix were coming out of the floo. I asked them what they were doing and noticed they were carrying Hermione with them. Bella just said, 'she's a Pureblood,' which left me very confused. They brought her into the Tapestry room before Narcissa healed her injuries. At that point, she had already bled on the floor of the room which activated the tapestry. Bella was the first one to see the two of you above Hermione on the wall."

"She was bleeding?" Antonin asked.

"That wasn't the worst of it."

"I heard that Bella tortured her at Malfoy Manor," Artemis added.

"You're plan, Artemis?" Sirius asked.
