Ok, this Song Fix is the way I would've written the ending of Joey and Mai's duel. Enjoy! RR!
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You been out ridin' fences for so long now
Joey signed. He didn't have amny more options. Mai was going to beat him hands down. At least it was her that was going to win, and him lose his soul, not vise versa.
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow
Mai laughed. "What, Wheeler? Giving up already? Harpie Lady! Attack his moster!" The Harpie Lady into action and clawed Joey's Flamesword's man. Joey had no monsters on the feild.
"I'll end my turn," Mai said.
Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet
Joey drew is next card, he had drawn the card that could turn this entire duel around for him. Red Eyes Black Dragon. And he had a magic card that would let him automaticly summon his dragon without a sacfrice, he could now easily beat Mai. Joey looked at his hand. Joey closed his eyes, remembering times with Mai.
Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get
"I've got something for ya Mai!" Joey exclaimed, giving Mai a highfive, and some Starchips in the process.
Joey sighed. He layed down a card. "I put this card in facedown position and end my turn." Go 'head, Mai. Take your turn. Beat me. That's what you want, isn't it?
Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
Mai laughed again. "Wheeler, say good-bye to the rest of your life points!"
Joey didn't think he'd stay awake long enough for that.He was going to pass out. Joey stuggled to stay awake, for Mai's sake.
"Harpie Lady! At-" Mai stopped herself. What was she waiting on? Joey was wide open, she could beat him, he'd be out of her life forever, why could she call the attack?
"Hey Mai! I'll get you outta this! Don't worry, ya gonna be alright!" Joey yelled.
"It's that voice. Who is it?" Mai asked.
"Joey! Be careful!" Serenity yelled.
Joey pulled on the chains. "I wouldn't budge! Man!"
"Who's there?" Mai asked.
"Mai! It's me!" Joey said.
"You sound so familar to me, like an old friend," Mai said slowly.
"Come on! You just gotta remember who I am, Mai! Think!" Joey insisted.
"I..I'm not sure.."
Joey put his hands on her face. "Try harder. Look in my eyes. It's me!"
"Joey?"
"That's right! It's Joey!" Joey told her. "And I'm not going to let anything happen to you, Mai, cause we're friends!"
Mai gasped. Joey's body shook as he started to fall to the ground. "Joey!" Mai yelled, running for the blonde.
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone
Mai caught Joey. "Joey.. I'm sorry! Say something!"
Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
Joey smiled. "I'm glad it's me and not you, Mai."
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?
Joey's eyes started to close as the seal was closing in around them. "Joey! No!"
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
Joey smiled. "Mai.. I..." Joey shook his head. Was he really going to tell her that? Joey pushed her out of the seal.
"JOEY! No!"
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you You better let somebody love you, before it's too late
The End
