Chapter One: Butterfly…

"Ah, Momiji-kun! Look at that butterfly!" I said, as I grabbed Momiji's hand, and pointed at a butterfly that flew by, "Isn't it pretty!"

Momiji nodded, 'Uh-huh!"

"Wow…" I sighed, as I took a seat in the grass in front of the hospital, "Hey Momiji-kun…When do you think I'll be able to leave…? I wanna go back home with you…"

Momiji rested his head on my shoulder, "I don't know…But Ha'ri's gonna talk to the doctors and see when you can, alright?"

I smiled, "Okay." Suddenly I heard footsteps behind Momiji and I, "Hmm?" I said, turning around to see who it was. It was a boy about my age, with black and white hair.

"Hi Haru!" Momiji exclaimed, as he jumped up, "Hey! You don't know Kare, do you? Kare, this is Haru Sohma! Haru, this is Kare Ryu!"

Haru nodded, then looked at Momiji, "Hatori said we had to leave, so…C'mon. Say goodbye to…Kare…."

I blushed, as I smiled, "Um…Bye Momiji-kun…" Momiji smiled back, as he left with Haru, Wow…He was cute…

"Kare." I heard Hatori say, as I turned around to face him, "I'm sorry about taking Momiji back home so soon. But I finished discussing with the other doctors on when you would be coming back. They said that whenever you're ready, and packed, you could come home."

I smiled brightly, "Really!" Hatori nodded, and smiled lightly.

His face went stern slightly, "But…We'll need to find a place for you to stay…Akito won't let you stay at the main house…"

"She could stay with Sensei…" Haru said, walking up behind Hatori. I blushed, as he looked down at me, "Sensei wouldn't mind having her stay there."

"Maybe…Tohru seems to enjoy it…." Hatori nodded after his comment, "But it would be best if we didn't mention this to Akito for a while…"

"Ah, thank you, Hatori-san!" I jumped up to hug him, but then I stopped myself, realizing something. I don't want to act to immature in front of Haru-san!

Haru noticed my stopping, "Hmm? Hatori, does she know…?"

"I didn't think she did…Maybe Momiji told her?"

"Tell me what?" I asked, and looked from Haru, to Hatori, back to Haru.

"Kare…" Haru said, and I blushed, "Did Momiji mention anything about a…curse?"

"Curse?" I repeated.

"I don't think she knows, Haru…But I guess we should tell her now…."

"Eh…?" I said stupidly, not knowing what they were talking about.
