Disclaimer: I don't own the species Predators or Aliens. (James Cameron and John McTiernan do! … I think … :S) I do own the scenes, both the human and non-human characters and also the plot.

Author's Note: I have never written an Alien/Predator Fan Fiction. It could be boring for some and interesting for others. So please don't post malicious reviews. (Um … OK. So I think input reviews are all right! :P) But don't refrain from reviewing at all! :D

Chapter 1

The Beginning

A tall figure, muscular and shielded with shined metal and a small piece of silver cloth attached to its bottom section, along with the black netting that surrounded its skin, strode through a small neighborhood. The metal mask attached to its face had an outline of what could be the shape beneath it. Each step it took shook the concrete pavement and awoke Erica Wood who sat bolt upright in her bed across from the open window, where she could hear clicking and a muffled groan. Startled, Erica shoved her covers aside and crawled out of bed as she began to walk to her doomed fate.

Not too far South of Erica's house, a reasonable sized ship had crash landed. The debris was scattered across a bare field, except for a small amount of lame sheep. A soulless survivor that seemed to be non-human was trapped inside a bent and disfigured metal cage. It was long and a midnight black, with hundreds of small and dagger sharp teeth, that could be seen as it squealed a high pitched scream. It had long, rounded claws and a jagged tail with a huge spear like head at the end. It was minutes before the creature's struggles managed to create a big enough escape route for it. It squeezed through the gap between two bars and crawled out, moving fast across the field and grabbing an innocent sheep.

"Baa." The sheep bleeted out in a loud tone. But its cries were soon muffled echoes as the creature held onto it, shifting through the darkness and vanishing …

Erica paused once she had reached her open window and stared outside into the bare street. There was a dim light coming from a tall street lamp, which allowed her to see slight sections. She was satisfied that nothing was there, or whatever had been there had gone now – Perhaps a cat? Just then an enormous hand reached through Erica's window and grabbed her at the throat. She started to choke, making her scratch and claw at the figure. She soon struggled harder as the strong grasp tightened. The rough skin of the creature irritated her own and the emotionless, masked face that stared at Erica made pure fear pour through her.

"Pl … ease" Erica strained. She felt her lungs start to tighten and her arms and legs fall limp. Memories of her childhood flashed before her and darkness gained on each one, as though it were a race in her own mind. A race against time.
