Okay, announcement time.

So, I was asked if I intend on continuing "Of Mud & Blood?"

And my answer to that is "yes," and "no."

I'm happy that readers want to see more of my role-swap AU, and I owe a lot of it to you, the readers. And special shout-outs to everyone who favorited, followed, and reviewed these chapters. In alphabetical order:

Anyway, I am happy that people want to see more of the AU, but I feel that the way I've been writing the story isn't going to work out anymore. I've hit a wall and don't know how to move forward. So, I'm proposing a rewrite to have the fic unfold chronologically. That way, I can feature:

Hunter's life in the Human Realm before arriving in the Isles.

How he met Darius and Eberwolf. And more interactions with them. And how they became wild witches.

His friendship with Amity and other friends. And the rivalry, and eventual romance, with Willow.

The first encounter with Luz/The Platinum Guard.

How Hunter discovered the fire glyph.

The alternate history of the Clawthorne sisters.

And all the other adventures and plot-hooks mentioned in the chapters.

Plus, I brainstormed other ideas that would only work by rewriting.

So, in short, I am not giving up on "Of Mud & Blood" — which might also get a new title, and I am open to suggestions on that — I just haven't figured out how to approach it. And, as always, I will give credit to any future ideas for the story. I'll leave these original chapters posted here. Consider them like a "Pilot" story if that makes sense.

Have a wonderful day, or night, to all who read this, and stay tuned.
