"AMBER!"

Rhode's eyes blazed with fury at being tricked but all she could see was her nemesis's mocking smirk.

"SHOW YOURSELF!"

As soon as she said that, the golden whirlwind that surrounded Amber died down revealing her true appearance; wine red hair and copper eyes, a spitting image of her father. She was dressed in her new red & black exorcist uniform, her hands were clenched into fists at her sides. Her eyes met Rhode's causing the Noah of Dreams to charge forward, eager to attack her nemesis.

Meanwhile

"Did we just teleport?" Nagi asked aloud in disbelief.

"That doesn't matter at the moment."

Everyone turned to see that it was a man in a military sort of uniform that had spoke. He was with two teenagers who were in some queer black and red uniform of their own too.

The red-haired teenager of the two then spoke, "We need to evacuate all of you out of here immediately before any of you get hurt. Please follow us."

Rima frowned, "Why should we trust you?"

Leenalee turned to her smiling softly, "Because Amu sent us"

The Jasdevi brothers cheered for their spiky-haired sister but it was quite obvious that she was losing focus and Amber was taking advantage of her rage to slip her up.

'Hey, we should help her shouldn't we?" Jasdero asked his twin.

Before he could reply, the twins heard the sound of running footsteps just in time to stop Allen's and Kanda's attacks, blocking their swords with their guns. The twins smirked seeing the frustrated looks on the exorcists's faces.

"We're not easy to beat!"

Then the fight began.

Leenalee walked behind the group while Lavi kept at the front with Link in the middle.

"We can't leave"

Leenalee turned seeing that it was Ikuto who spoke. "Is something the matter?"

"I just can't leave Amu with people like that...I need to go back."

Link raised an eyebrow at him, "She is more than capable of taking care of herself."

Utau snorted out loud, "We're talking about Amu here."

"So are we" Lavi put in.

Leenalee saw Utau open her mouth to retort so she stepped in.

"Look, you don't know your friend as well as you thought. She will be fine besides there are two people with her who would rather throw themselves into the fire than let her even burned a bit. She will be okay Ikuto-san."

Lavi sighed, "I rather be there with her..."

"Hmph, Bookman you're the only one who can speak fluent Japanese besides Kanda so it's even more essential that you come with us when Allen can barely hold a conversation in the language." scoffed Link.

Leenalee looked over at the former Crow guard, "I'm more surprised you left him alone Link."

"It's for the good of-hey wait!"

Link turned just in time to see Kukai and Ikuto making a break for it.

But they didn't get very far because Leenalee appeared in front of them in a minute, halting them to a stop.

"Look" Leenalee began, her voice firm. "We are here to protect you guys and ensure your safety. If anything happens to any of you, Amu would get upset and knowing how she can be, I rather not upset her."

"That's right" said a guy's voice as he grabbed Kukai's arm. "Now be good and come back to the group ne?"

Kukai sighed and turned to meet eyes with Lavi, surprising the teens. Their eyes almost seemed a similar colour and there was something oddly familiar about the other. But before they could speak, Leenalee interrupted.

"Guys, we have to go."

Amber ducked and her eyes glowed gold as she punched Rhode hard, surprising the female Noah and knocking her off her feat and right into Jasdero who was fighting Kanda.

Devit turned then just in time to see the collision but he and Allen were fighting and couldn't get away but then an idea came to him. He kneed the exorcist in the gut and grabbed his sword from his hand, stabbing him mercilessly and quickly in the stomach.

Allen screamed from the pain causing his teammates to take notice. Amber's eyes widened and turned to Devit seeing that he was rushing over to his siblings.

"MOYASHI!"

Amber turned again to see Kanda looking at the sword in Allen who was sputtering out blood. Her first instinct was to run over to her teammate but she turned around again instead just in time to see Devit carrying his siblings. The two met eyes and he yelled confidently.

"We will have our revenge! Just you wait!"

Before she could retort, she heard a loud scream of pain and turned to see Allen with the sword removed from his body and Kanda holding it.

"KANDA YOU IDIOT! YOU CAN'T JUST PULL THE SWORD OUT OF HIM! "

Surprised by the sheer anger and disapproval in the younger girl's tone, it took a while for the pony-tailed teen to realize Amber was already at Allen's side. She used her lap as a pillow for his head to let him rest as her right hand moved to lie on his wound while the other hand was in his hair, stroking the strands away from his forehead.

"Am I going to die?" Allen asked weakly.

Amber frowned, her eyes glowing gold and her hair flaring up with power, "Not on my watch".

Kanda watched as Amber chanted words unfamiliar to him and stared, astonished as her hand glowed, healing his wound; the tissue and cells moving to repair itselves right before the dark haired teen.

Allen felt his body grow warm and gasped as he felt renewed energy fill his body, giving him strength. He looked at Amber and was shocked to find her pale and sweat shining on her perfect forehead.

"Kit, what the hell happened to you?"

"I'm fine" she assured him despite the obvious tired tone she used.

Allen met her eyes, asking quietly, "What you did, took a lot out of you didn't it?"

The red haired girl sighed and nodded, "I'll be okay in a while Allen I promise. "

Suddenly, to her surprise, she felt someone pick her up by the hips so she turned her head and was shocked to see it was Kanda.

"W-what-?"

"You're exhausted, I don't trust you to walk the way to the rendezvous point on your own."

Amber scowled, "Its not that far and I'm not some baby that needs to be carried!"

"I am not in the least threatened by you little girl" replies the he pony-tailed teen rolling his eyes.

Amber pouted and folded her arms defensively while Allen stood up from the ground, "Kanda, I could carry her. You must be tired, let me-"

"No moyashi, I'm carrying the kitsune. "

Before Allen could say anything, the Japanese exorcist was already walking and Amber, seeing that there was no point in wasting any more energy, she rested her head against his chest and relaxed her body, unfolding her arms before closing her eyes to rest.

The white-haired hurried after the two to walk by their side, thinking quietly how unusual it was for him to see Kanda acting more human and to someone.
