Lavi: Hime, will I see Amber again in this chapter?

Hime: *sigh* Yes Lavi, now stop moping...

Lavi: *cheers* YES! :D

Hime: Doesn't mean you guys will have a moment though. :3

Lavi: EHHHH?!

Hime: I own nothing! ^^

Amber took a deep breath, preparing herself, "I'm transferring all of you to a secure location except Utau."

"NANI?!"

The redhead flinched and her chara, Christa was certain her ears were ringing. As she tried to get her focus back, her bearer tried to explain her actions to her friends, "Look this is for your protection and-"

"What the hell is so special about Utau?" Rima demanded, very annoyed.

"She's a celebrity and going on tour in a matter of days. It's a lot more troublesome to explain an MIA idol compared to a random school transfer of a bunch of students."

Utau smirked, flipping her hair over her shoulder, proud of her current status while Rima seethed.

"School transfer?" Tadase repeated, confused.

Amber nodded, "As far as anyone needs to know, all of you had been transferred to a boarding school."

"So we're going actually going to a boarding school?" Tadase frowns.

"And how long will this be?" Nagi asks.

"No, that's just a cover and I can't fixate on how long you'll be there but I need to keep you guys safe. The name of the school if anyone asks is 'The Rose Cross Boarding Academy.'"

Kukai didn't like what he heard at all, "But what about my soccer team? My basketball team? I'm captain!"

"Which is more important, your life or your team?" scowled Christa, finally recovered from the sound attack that was the earlier scream.

The jock among the group frowned, "I thought you and your friends took care of our kidnappers."

"Unfortunately, those assholes are slippery but I can assure that they did not go unscathed."

Nagi blinked, hearing Amber's tone and decided it would be best to change the subject, "Erm, so if the story is we're going to a boarding school...where are we going exactly?"

"The closest branch of the organization near here is our Asian Branch. You will be safe there" she assures them.

Ikuto deadpanned, "You won't be there with us?"

"We have better things to do than entertain you lot" scoffs Amber's witch chara.

Almost immediately everyone turned to glare at Christa but the witch chara was unfazed.

"Amu-chan, wouldn't we be safer with you?" Nagi asks, hope evident in his eyes.

"No." replies the exorcist, her voice firm. "I can't stay at the Asian Branch because my place is at HQ. I have things to do."

Rima frowned, hearing how unapologetic their friend was that she couldn't be with them, "Why can't we be at your HQ with you?"

Amber sweatdropped, thinking of how much trouble it'll be if any of them got roped up in any of the craziness of Komui and the antics of the exorcists, "No way."

"B-but!"

"ENOUGH!" yelled the redhead causing everyone to step back in fear.

"This has to be done. The Asian Branch is a research facility so the chances of it being attacked is very very slim. Hence, it is the best place to send you all."

They all looked at each other, obviously unhappy but they knew arguing won't help anything. Tadase was the first to speak, "Alright Amu-chan, if that's what you want."

Amber nodded and opened her mouth to say something else but she was interrupted. "You are at least taking us there right?" Rima asks, hopeful.

"No. Kanda and Lavi will escort you." she replies curtly.

"What? Why aren't you?!" Rima yells, upset.

Amber sighed deeply before speaking, her voice firm."I have things to do back at HQ. I can't take you."

"Plus Amber needs to rest" adds Christa.

"Can't she rest on the plane?" Ikuto asks, frowning.

Christa rolled her eyes, "I doubt you guys would leave her alone. Besides Amber needs to hurry back anyway. She'll be taking the helicopter with the other exorcists. You guys will take the Cross Jet."

"This sucks" announces Rima.

"This is for your own good." Amber told her before signalling to Timmy to approach. "Timmy, go to the others and guide them back here." The Golem bowed before flying away quickly. Christa then came forward to speak to her bearer.

"Amber, I need to stop the chara change. You've made use of it for way too long."

Amber shook her head, "No. I am going to leave first. I need the broom to take me back."

"Broom?" Utau repeated, confused.

Amber nodded tiredly and ran a hand through her long hair until someone else asked a question.

"Amu, what about Utau? How can you ensure her safety?" Ikuto asks, worried about his sister.

The girl he spoke to, closes her eyes, exhausted, "I've arranged for an acquaintance of mine to be your bodyguard."

"Who is he?" the tall high-school student questions, curious.

"Noise Marie. He's a big guy, polite, funny and blind but he's-"

"You're assigning a blind person to be my bodyguard? How the hell can he protect me?"

Amber narrows her eyes, severely annoyed, "Marie is more than capable of looking after you. Are you actually implying that I would assign someone that couldn't protect you?"

Utau's eyes widened in surprise, "That's not what I meant! I just-"

Amber held up her hand, cutting her off, "Whatever, as for Yaya, Kairi, Hikaru and Rikka I will have a team stationed here to keep an eye on them."

Kukai breathed a sigh of relief, grateful because that was going to be his next question.

"I will also have another acquaintance just in case to look out for you at the Asian Branch."

"Who?" Tadase asks curiously.

"Chaoji Han. He's a friendly fellow, very likable but trustworthy. I know he'll protect you guys."

Nagi nodded slowly, processing the information.

"Oi Kit!"

Amber turned, her face impassive meeting the handsome samurai's impatient expression, "You done?"

"Yes I am. Have your wounds been treated properly?"

"Yeah, you don't have to worry about it."

Before Amber could make a reply, Lavi who was close behind Kanda, came closer making eye contact with his leader, "Amber-hime, the instructions you gave Timmy to relay to us is a little concerning..."

The younger redhead arched an eyebrow at Lavi's words, "What's the problem?"

Allen answered for him, "Why are we using public transport? What's wrong with using the Ark? I can perfectly-"

"No. You are not allowed to use the Ark from now on" says Amber, cutting him off quickly.

The exorcists were confused, "Why?"

"I can't tell you why now. Later, once all of us are back at HQ." she tells them.

Kanda formed his usual scowl, annoyed but didn't press, "Fine but I refuse to accompany your friends."

"What is your issue?" Amber inquires, trying very hard not to get annoyed.

"I refuse to be on the same plane as Tsukiyomi."

Ikuto rolled his eyes, "Intimidated Yuu?"

Before Ikuto could even blink, Kanda was looking at him menacingly with a sword pointed at his Adam's apple threateningly, "Don't you dare call me by my first name you son of a bitch."

Amber massaged her temples, Kanda's killer intent was scaring her old friends shitless. She felt a migraine coming on.

"Kanda, you and Lavi are the only other fluent Japanese speakers besides me and I can't go so please just do this for me?"

Kanda scowled, not turning around, "Why can't you go?"

"I have things I need to do."

"I will not accompany your friends Kitsune. No matter how much you beg me" replied the samurai, his voice firm.

"Please?"

Kanda turned his head, his sword still pointed at Ikuto and deadpanned immediately once he saw her face which had a silent pleading expression. She looked exhausted and stressed causing the samurai to scowl.

"Why can't the Usagi handle this on his own?"

"Because I don't want him to take care of any threats on his own. I'll feel a lot better knowing he has a partner."

"What's wrong with moyashi?"

"I need him to go back to the HQ."

"Why?"

Amber could feel her irritation growing by Kanda's persistence.

"What do you need me to do to get you to agree?"

"Escort your friends back with us."

"I just told you I have things to settle!"

Kanda sighed and moved his sword so that the tip touched Ikuto's throat.

"This guy over here pushes my buttons. I might kill him if he irks me too much and the Usagi won't be able to stop me so you need to come."

Amber sighed deeply too, "Kanda, my father requests I come back as soon as possible. There are things I need to discuss with him so please do this for me?"

The samurai frowned, looking at her studying her for a while before finally relenting and sheathed his sword much to the relief of Ikuto and the delight of Amber.

"Thank you!"

Kanda rolled his eyes, "You owe me Kitsune"

Amber smiled for the first time since the exorcists came into the room, "Escort them all home. I need to go back first. Wake me up at 9 tomorrow."

The exorcists nodded and Amber waved her hand causing her Cross Broom to materialize in front of her. Christa moved to sit on her bearer's shoulder and Timmy moved to sit on her head once the female redhead had sat on the broom. She turned to the other chara bearers to say goodbye. "Oyasumi minna-san! Report at the airport at 12 noon. Don't be late!"

Before any of them could reply, Christa shouted, "Zoom Broom Zoom!" Amber flew off on her broom immediately once the chara finished speaking, heading straight back together to get some well deserved sleep.

Lavi: I want my brotherly moments...gimme LavixAmber!

Ikuto: Hell no! I need AmberxIkuto!

Christa: *snorts* Too damn bad

Lavi: *depressed*

Ikuto: *mad*

Hime: *doesn't give a damn*
