~~Hello readers, I hope you all enjoyed the previous chapter.

I don't own anything from Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh 5Ds.

Only my original characters belong to me.~~

My Pokemon and I had just landed in an unfamiliar place after Flareon and Ampharos combined their powers to transport us out of Dr. Colress' medical lab.

We were happily settled in on the soft lawn in front of a huge, gorgeous mansion.

The weather was perfect as well.

I looked up at the clear blue sky while lost in deep thought about this recent event.

Ampharos and Flareon were laying down in a relaxed position on either side of me.

They haven't left my side since we landed here.

The sound of the mansion's door opening pulled me out of my thoughts almost instantly.

Ampharos and Flareon immediately woke up before quickly standing protectively beside me.

I tried sitting up, but my body was too weak.

I flopped back down into the grass.

A tall, pale skinned man with long, grey hair came walking down the steps.

He didn't look threatening at all.

The stranger cautiously approached me before carefully kneeling down to my level.

He wore a dark grey, long sleeved suit over his pants and collared shirt.

I sensed a peaceful aura around him.

My Pokemon stared at him with intent.

The man smiled warmly at them as he spoke gently. "It's all right you two, I'm not going to hurt your owner."

They still didn't move.

My ears perked up at the gentle sound of his voice.

He spoke with a slight accent.

I let my curiosity get the best of me and used all the strength I had to push myself up into a sitting position.

Looking down at the two extraction spots on my arms, I thought about the procedure Dr. Colress performed on me back in his lab.

A flashback entered my mind.

My head began to feel dizzy as I breathed heavily.

I also started to tremble slightly.

Luckily, the man caught me before I could fall.

"You'll be okay Mis, I've got you. I'm right here," he said softly in my ear.

I laid my head on the man's shoulder and let his soothing voice take me away.

"Thank you sir," I whispered.

It felt good to be in somebody's arms.

I sank into the comfort of his touch.

His presence caused my flashback to disappear.

A period of silence passed between us as we relaxed.

I took a deep breath and spoke to the man. "Excuse me sir, who are you?"

"My name is Rex Goodwin," he answered.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Rex. My name is Sioku," I replied with a delighted smile.

Flareon lightly brushed against Rex' side.

Rex petted her back in response.

"What is this place?" I added.

"You and your lovely creatures have arrived in new Domino City," he answered.

"These creatures of mine are called Pokemon, and I have six of them with me. We come from a different world," I gladly informed.

Rex carefully secured me over his shoulders before standing up. "Let's go inside now."

I nodded and looked down at my Pokemon.

They followed behind Rex as he ascended the steps.

The mansion looked beautiful up close.

I stared at the polished wooden door in awe.

After opening the door, Rex walked inside with Flareon and Ampharos quietly following behind him.

I looked at the marble furniture as we passed by.

Rex then made his way down a long corridor.

There were glass shelves and picture frames displayed along the painted brick wals.

We eventually entered a large bedroom.

My Pokemon ran inside after us.

Rex gently laid me down on a long sofa.

I immediately sank into the fluffy cushion.

Ampharos returned to its Pokeball while Flareon jumped on the couch beside me.

I wrapped my arms around her as she laid down.

Rex sat down on the floor and put his arm around me.

I snuggled into his shoulder for comfort.

He examined the bandages on my arms.

"Sioku, what happened to you?" he asked smoothly.

"My blood was forcefully extracted by somebody before I came here," I answered hesitantly.

The man's eyes widened with horror.

He leaned over me and wrapped his arms tightly around my upper body in a loving way.

"Oh Sioku, I'm so sorry that you went through such a terrible situation. You will always be safe here with me. I promise," he replied softly.

I nudged Flareon aside and moved closer to Rex.

Flareon settled herself in on the opposite end of the sofa and fell asleep.

A long period of silence passed between us.

Rex lightly brushed hair from my face as he spoke gently. "Sioku, is there a reason why somebody would want to take your blood?"

"Yes, I was born with a special healing power called cell activation. It allows me to heal people by touching and focusing my energy on their wounds. This person named Dr. Colress believes that my power can bring his Pokemon infinite health," I explained.

"How did Dr. Colress extract your blood?" he added.

"Colress and his assistant hooked me up to two medical machines. Those machines literally took a lot of blood out of my veins. My blood was then poured into six glass tubes," I answered.

Rex held me close to him in a comforting way.

"That won't happen to you anymore while I'm around. I'll make sure of it," he whispered.

We held each other for a long time.

I closed my eyes and let my mind slowly drift into pleasant thoughts about battling.

The peaceful sound of Rex' heart beat and steady breathing was all I heard in the room.

I eventually fell asleep in his warm embrace.

Unfortunately, my dream wasn't peaceful at all.

I had a nightmare about my recent blood extraction.

A few hours later, I woke up panting heavily and shivering violently in Rex' arms.

My heart pounded rapidly in my chest.

Tears poured from my eyes like waterfalls.

Startled by my fearful action, Rex jumped and gasped in terror at the sight before him.

He had no idea how to help me since we just met.

"Sioku? Sioku!" he called frantically.

There was no response from me.

He lifted me off of the sofa while trying to reassure me.

I began to twitch as he stood up.

"Calm down Sioku, I'm right here, you're safe with me," he said soothingly.

His words had no effect on me.

My intense fear prevented me from focusing on him.

He slowly paced around the room with me in his arms.

A knock at the door stopped Rex instantly.

"Come in," he hollered.

Another man with purple eyes and spiked blond hair entered the room.

He had on a long white trench coat over a white plunging shirt, grey pants, and white boots.

I fearfully buried my face into Rex' chest.

"You're okay Sioku," he assured.

The man immediately stopped in the doorway and stared at Rex in confusion. "Goodwin, what's going on?"

My ears perked up at the Australian accent in his voice.

"I'm helping somebody," Rex answered.

"Where in the world did this girl come from?" the other man asked while pointing at me.

I gave a small smile and waved at him.

Rex laughed and patted my head.

"Jack, I found Sioku and her two creatures laying on my lawn and brought them inside. They came from another world," he explained.

"Welcome Sioku," he greeted.

I stared up at him in response.

"What's the matter with her?" asked Jack confused.

"Sioku just had a bad dream," answered Rex.

I continued staring at Jack and hugged Rex tightly.

Jack looked sadly at me and sighed.

"What has she been through?" he wondered out loud.

"I'll tell you later," Rex answered.

Jack perked up as a happy thought crossed his mind. "Hey Goodwin, I've got an idea. You and I should have a friendly duel. That might cheer her up."

He then presented his duel disc to us which was strapped on his left arm.

My eyes lit up when I saw the new device.

"I have one of those too," added Rex.

I gave a nod in response.

"Sioku, would you like to watch a duel?" asked Jack.

I waved at him in response.

"Let's duel on the balcony," Jack suggested.

"Good idea," replied Rex.

Rex gently set me back down on the sofa.

I snuggled up next to Flareon who was still asleep.

Jack cautiously approached the sofa before taking a seat beside me.

"I' need to go get ready now, will you please watch her?" asked Rex while looking at Jack.

Jack only nodded in return.

Rex carefully stepped away before heading toward the huge closet on the other side of his room.

"Hello Sioku," Jack greeted softly.

I smiled awkwardly at him before turning away.

Flareon lifted her head and stared at Jack.

She immediately sensed a peaceful aura around this man which put my mind at ease.

"This must be one of your creatures. She looks beautiful," he said with a smile.

I simply nodded in response.

Flareon wagged her tail at him.

Jack leaned closer and placed a hand on my shoulder.

I started to relax almost instantly.

"Are you all right?" he whispered to me.

The softness in his voice calmed me down enough to start breathing easier.

My heart rate finally returned to normal.

I gave a small smile in return.

Flareon stretched her body and shook off.

I couldn't help but giggle at that.

She then climbed into Jack's lap.

Jack grinned as he petted her.

"She likes you," I said quietly.

"I agree," Jack replied.

Rex returned with a duel disc strapped on his arm.

"Hello you two," he greeted.

My eyes lit up as I looked at him.

"Sioku is breathing easier now," replied Jack.

"I see that, you really saved her sanity. Thanks for your help," Rex added sincerely.

"My pleasure," Jack replied briefly.

Flareon hopped down onto the floor before curiously exploring the large bedroom.

I giggled at the sound of her long nails constantly tapping on the wood floor.

"She does this all the time," I pointed out.

"Are you ready to go Sioku?" asked Rex.

"Yes," I briefly answered.

Rex grabbed my hand and helped me get back on my feet. "I've got you Sioku."

I leaned on Rex while gripping his hand tightly.

Jack saw me struggling and rose from the couch before rushing over to my other side.

"I'm here for you as well Sioku," he assured

They carefully led me out the door with Flareon happily following behind them.

We headed down the same long corridor.

Jack then opened a door and led us out to a large, cemented balcony with a metal gate around it.

The fresh air out here cleared my head.

I was finally able to think clearly again.

Flareon sniffed the air as she walked around.

She seemed to enjoy being outside.

I got a great view of the big city.

"This place is wonderful," I commented.

"How do you feel Sioku?" asked Rex.

"I feel fine," I answered while staring at him.

Rex pointed at Flareon and smiled. "Sioku, what is your furry creature's name?"

"Flareon," I answered briefly.

Flareon excitedly rushed forward and jumped on Jack.

Jack caught himself before he could lose his balance.

Flareon rested her front paws on Jack's legs while wagging her tail wildly at him.

My face heated up with embarrassment.

I was afraid of making a wrong first impression.

"Flareon! Off," I ordered sternly.

Flareon sadly lowered herself to the ground.

She shook off before walking toward me.

Rex and Jack exchanged a surprised look.

"I'm so sorry Jack," I said remorsefully.

"It's all right Sioku, I'm okay. I promise," he assured.

"Your creature is quite spunky," said Rex.

"Does Flareon have any powers?" added Jack.

"She sure does," I answered with glee.

Flareon wagged her tail in agreement.

"Would you like to demonstrate?" asked Rex.

"Of course," I answered cheerfully.

I signaled for Flareon to step backward.

"Use flare blitz," I commanded.

Flareon released a fireball high into the air.

Rex and Jack stared at it in awe.

They seemed fascinated by her ability.

Before the fireball could expand, I held up Milotic's Pokeball. "I need you to put out the fire."

The aquatic, serpentine Pokemon Milotic floated in the air after emerging from its Pokeball.

"That creature is gorgeous," commented Rex.

Jack smiled in agreement.

"Use hydro pump," I instructed.

Milotic easily put out the fire by releasing a massive wave of water from its mouth.

Rex and Jack stood against the wall in order to prevent themselves from getting wet.

"Good work Milotic," I praised.

Milotic happily waved its tail at Flareon and me before returning to its Pokeball.

"Wow Sioku, your creatures are packing a ton of power! I really admire that," Jack complemented.

I grinned proudly at him in response.

Jack suddenly turned to Rex as a thought crossed his mind. "I really hate to do this to you and Sioku, but I'm calling off our duel for now."

"Why?" I asked sadly.

"I'm supposed to have a turbo duel against my old friend Yusei Futo," he answered.

Instead of feeling sad, I perked up and smiled at Jack. "May I please watch your turbo duel? I've never seen one before in my life!"

"I don't see a problem with that at all Sioku," Jack answered with a smile in return.

I joyfully squealed as I hugged Flareon.

Flareon nuzzled me in return.

Rex ruffled my hair and laughed.

"We should get going now. Yusei is waiting at the dueling arena across from here," said Jack.

Rex gently led me toward Jack. "I have some business to take care of. You two should go ahead without me."

"Are you sure?" asked Jack.

"Don't worry about me," rex replied.

I waved at Rex before following Jack inside.

He led Flareon and me out the front door.

Once outside, the three of us crossed a wide street.

I spotted a gigantic, dome-shaped building up ahead.

Looking through the windows, I saw a huge, crowded stadium with a circular arena in the middle of it.

Jack pressed a square-shaped button on a wall near the double doors that caused them to open.

Once inside, Jack led Flareon and me down a long corridor toward another exit.

"This outdoor area was built here specifically for turbo duels," Jack informed as he opened the door.

Flareon and I explored the large courtyard.

Tall grass grew around the perimeter.

This arena was basically a huge, sandy area.

It reminded me of the desert resort back home in the Unova region.

There were wooden picnic benches that surrounded the arena.
