A blue-haired girl walking on the paths in Peterny. She looks sad. She is walking fast, then she stopped when she arrived at a pasture. Her eyes just as green as the grasses.
She sat on the ground, looking at the beautiful sky.
I know I'll never win from Sophia, she thought. She's cute and cheerful, not like me, the lame and boring one.
The girl lies down on the grasses. She watches the moving of the white clouds.
No wonder Fayt likes her.
"Maria?" a voice surprised her. It's him, the blue-haired boy she loves.
Fayt Leingod.
"What's up?" Maria replied. Did you have fun with Sophia?
"You… saw us?"
"Yes, I saw her kissed your cheek."
"Maria, you... You don't think we're in love, don't you?"
"Everyone who saw it must think both of you are in love, Fayt."
"…I'm sorry."
"Sorry? For what?"
"…Nothing. Well, Maria, we're not in love."
"Hun?" Maria felt a bit happy.
"Sophia told me her feelings… But… I don't feel the same way."
She almost gasped but she kept it in her heart.
"So why she kissed you?"
"Who knows?"
"Anyway, why are you here?"
"To tell you this."
"Oh, all right then."
She felt pretty disappointed.
"…You don't feel anything?"
"What do you mean?"
"You don't feel jealous or any kind of that?"
How could he read my mind?
"…I don't know."
Fayt hold her right hand.
"Fayt?"
"Maria… I know you won't feel the same way… But I must tell you this…"
He looked at her eyes.
"That I love you."
Maria shocked for a second, and then she smiled.
"Who said I won't feel the same way?"
Fayt looked at her with confused look.
"Me too."
Now Fayt is the one who shocked. Maria smiled again. He smiled too, then he holds her hand tighter.
"May I kiss you?" he asked, then his face all red.
Maria closed her eyes, as a sign for 'yes'. Fayt kissed her lips as the sun is setting down.
The beautiful dusk becomes the eyewitness of the two lovers.
Under the red-orange sky, those two made their promise.
That they'll never be separated…
