I don't own anything, this is just my story.

Elrond glanced at Elros having a feeling that Gil-Galad was talking about him, but having no desire to rule as the next High King of the Noldor.

"A halver as the next High King of the Noldor? You have lost your mind. No one will respect a halver as a king."

"If he is king, the people will respect him or they can leave," Gil-Galad responded.

"Are you directing that towards me?"

"I said the people, not you specifically, but if you fall into that category, then yes I am directing it towards you."

"Let me put this straight, your highness," Oropher said stepping forwards. "I will not live here if a halver is on the throne."

"Then you may leave. You are dismissed. I have canceled dinner plans."

Oropher's face filled with anger as he turned and grabbed Thranduil by the arm roughly. Almost dragging his son, he stormed towards the doors. Thranduil turned to glance back and directly at Elrond as his father pulled him out of the palace and into the night. The whole time the twins stood silently and Andreth shook his head.

"Probably not the best move, your highness, but you are correct in the matter," Andreth said softly.

"I will not have him disrespecting these boys in my halls. That's no different than me coming into his home and disrespecting his son," he said standing.

'Please check on the boys,' Andreth thought as he watched his king.

"Are you two alright?" Gil-Galad said turning towards them.

"I... ummm... I don't know," Elrond said as Elros nodded.

"Change and meet me in the library in five minutes," Gil-Galad said as he nodded to Andreth and turned, heading out of the throne room.

Elros and Elrond turned silently and walked back to their room together. Not a single word was said until the door was closed behind them and they knew they were alone.

"I feel as if he betrayed us, Elros," Elrond said feeling tears fall down his face as Elros pulled Elrond close.

"I know. Part of me wants to find him and ask for an explanation. Something just doesn't add up. Why would he say what he did earlier? It doesn't make sense."

"Same, but I don't know where to start. Plus Gil-Galad said he wanted to talk to us," Elrond said pulling back slightly and started to unbutton his top robe.

"Let's meet with Gil-Galad and afterwards I will go to the two places that I think Thranduil may be," he said unbuttoning his robe fastly and dropping his own top robe to the bed as Elrond untied his pants and let them fall.

As soon as the fine robes were off and on the bed, Elrond was pulling out two sets of everyday robes. The ones he grabbed were a deep burgundy set that he gelt made Elros look extremely attractive in. Handing the set to his brother, he leaned in and kissed him gently.

"If we start that, we will never make it to the library in time," Elros said softly as he returned the kiss.

"I wish we had enough time," Elrond smiled. He didn't know how to tell Elros that seeing Thranduil had turned him on that much.

"I bet you do," he smiled noticing the hardened member. "Him?" he asked.

Elrond just nodded as he looked down at his feet.

"Don't be embarrassed," he smiled.

"I am because I have you and don't need to look at other elves."

"It's okay that you find him attractive. I think he is attractive too," he whispered in his twins ear. "Do you want me to invite him to bed?"

Elrond blushed at the thought of the three of them sharing a bed. As much as he wanted to say no, he knew he wanted it. His member was giving that away. Shaking his head, he grabbed his pants.

"No, I only need you Elros," he said calmly, pulling on his pants.

"Okay," Elros said knowing that this wasn't the case as he pulled on his pants as well and started to tie them. "Make sure you hide that. Don't want Gil-Galad asking questions."

Elrond nodded as he adjusted himself to make sure Gil-Galad couldn't see anything. Elros looked down to check them as he pulled on his robe and Elrond did the same. Opening the door and starting down the hall towards Elronds favorite place. The walk seemed to take forever, but soon the were where they needed to be. Taking in a deep breath, Elros pushed open the doors.

Gil-Galad was seated at a table with Andreth behind him. The twins moved silently across the room before sitting down across from their king and guardian.

"I take it you two have a lot of questions," Gil-Galad said softly.

"Yes sir," Elrond answered. "How are we kin?"

"Through Finwë. Finarfin, Finwë's youngest son, is my direct ancestor. Fingolfin, Finwë's oldest son, is your direct ancestor through your father," Gil-Galad explained.

"So we are related? Is that why you took us in?"

"Yes, we are related, but no that is not the only reason I took you two in. I couldn't let my kin leave, especially two children," Gil-Galad smiled at them. "What else?"

"Did you know Oropher was going to be that ugly?" Elros asked.

"I had a feeling, but wasn't ready for what he said."

"Are you really going to name one of us the next High King of the Noldor?" Elrond asked.

"I have every intention to. I have no heirs and you are my closest living relatives. It is only fitting that one of you succeed me."

"I don't want to be the next High King of the Noldor," Elrond blurted out before anyone could ask anything else.

"Elrond, you don't have to. Elros..." Gil-Galad started acting as if he didn't know.

"Will most likely choose to not be counted as one of the first born."

Elros and Gil-Galad stood silently for a moment as Elrond had tears start to form in his eyes again.

"Elrond, even if I do, you still don't have to accept the offer to succeed him," Elros said as he turned his twin to face him and wiped the small tears away. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."

"He is correct on that," Gil-Galad said watching as the twins hugged. "I would never force you into anything you don't want to do. It won't be held against you and you are still more than welcome to stay with me no matter what you choose."

Elrond looked over to Gil-Galad. "You sure?"

"Of course. Is there anything else?" he asked.

Elrond shook his head as Elros did the same.

"Then I will leave you be. Would you want your dinner in your room?"

"Yes please," Elros said leading his twin towards the exit. "If we are not there, please leave it and we will eat it when we get back."

"Of course," Andreth replied as the boys left. "They are going to try to find Thranduil."

"I take it Thranduil doesn't agree with Oropher's words."

"Not at all," Andreth smiled. "I will be back soon with your dinner."

"Bring it to my study please."

"As you wish, your highness."

Elros lead his brother straight to the room, shutting the door quickly.

"You are going to be counted as a mortal man, aren't you?" Elrond asked softly.

"That's my plan. I don't feel as if I belong here, Elrond," the twin said moving to stand in front of his upset brother. "Don't let my decision alter yours."

"I won't, but promise me you will write."

"As much as I can. We still have a few days though," Elros said with a soft kiss. "And don't you dare mess up your chances with befriending Thranduil, even if all it is is a friendship."

"Deal," Elrond said kissing his other half fully on the lips as his arms wrapped around his neck.

"Don't... you want... to find... Thranduil?" Elros asked between kisses.

"Yes," Elrond said pulling away.

"Then let's go."

"One last question... Are you trying to get me with Thranduil because you won't be here?"

"Not entirely. I saw the way you two looked at each other and knew that you could have a friendship with him. If it turns into more, then it does. Elrond, you need at least a friend when I leave. I refuse for you to fade because of me. You still have so much to give this world."

"Thanks brother," Elrond said with a smile.

"Now let's go find your blonde love interest," Elros said with a wink as he took his twin's hand and proceeded to sneak out of the palace.
