Hello everyone! Letters from Elros are in normal font. Letters from Elrond are bold. Letters from Thranduil are in italics.

Elrond,

I hope this letter finds you well. Traveling has been so much fun that I wish I could have traveled before now. At the same time, I enjoyed spending those five years with you in Lindon. It has been extremely weird not having you by my side like before. Anyway, there has not been much going on here. Since leaving Mithlord, we have traveled east to Forlord. It is not as big or beautiful as Mithlord, but it is a most welcomed stop. Our plans are to cross the Gulf of Lune and travel to Harlord. We plan to stay at least a week there. Please write and let me know how you are doing. Is there anything new going on? Tell me you have made progress with Thranduil.

Elros

Elros,

Thank you so much for writing. It made me so happy to know you are okay. Things here have changed. The room feels large and empty without you here with me. Personally, I did not do well right after you left. Thranduil spent that day with me. We came close to going all the way, but he pulled back. I did respect his wishes on the matter, but it was hard the next day. Oropher left with a large amount of Sindar and Silvan elves. Thranduil had to leave with him. No one knows where he is planning to head. Please let me know if you hear anything. Other than that, Andreth brought me out to take care of a small orc pack. What he did not tell me was he planned to let me take them out alone. I was able to, but did get hit in the shoulder. Andreth can heal, Elros. He has been teaching me. I am not terrible. I have not gotten a chance to read the book you got for me, but plan to soon. Please write back soon.

Elrond

Elrond,

Thank you so much for sending the bath products with your letter. I do not think a single man knows how to make bath products like the ones I got in Mithlord. I am so sorry about Oropher. I do have good news. He is in Harlond. Oropher has been talking to the locals recently and trying to get others to join them. From the sounds of it, he will be leaving here and headed east. There is not any definite answer as to where Oropher wants to end up yet. I hope this helps. I told Thranduil to write a letter to you and I will send it to you with this one. I am not sure you will have enough time to reply to him, but we are both trying to stall Oropher from leaving till you can get one letter to him at least. As far as the orcs, I am proud of you. I hope you understand why Andreth and I pushed you to learn how to fight now. It is an important skill with how the world has changed. Thankfully we do not have to deal with Morgoth like our ancestors did. I did not know Andreth could heal. I am happy you found a mentor in healing. I hope you are taught how to heal bruises. You may need to know when it comes to your future with Thranduil. I really do see you two going somewhere. Keep in touch. Looks like we will be here for a bit longer.

Elros

Elrond,

I am so sorry for leaving you with very little notice. Elros let me read your letter to him. I can not tell you how much I regret not going all the way with you that night, but at the same time, I fear it would have hurt us both harder in the long run if we had. My father has lost his mind. He seriously thinks the Noldor are horrible people who want to rule all races of elves. You know I do not believe that at all. On the other side of things, I am really proud of you. My father would not dream of letting me go on an orc hunt, ever. Did you know that I could get hurt? Not his precious baby. I wish you could see Elros roll his eyes when I said that out loud. Please stay safe, meleth nîn.

Thranduil

Thranduil,

It is so good to hear from you. If you have opened this in a place your father may see, I suggest you close it and open it again where you are alone. I hope by now you are somewhere away from your father. I seriously can not put into words how much being away from you has drove me crazy. It has made me realize just how much I love you. Le i velethron e-guil nîn. I personally do not regret you pulling away that night, Thranduil. It just means the wait will make that night more enjoyable when it does come. I will wait for you as long as I have to.

Elrond

Oh, I forgot to tell you. Andreth found this soap and shampoo in town. I thought of you and had to send it your way. Andreth said to also send you the conditioner as well. I hope you like it.

Elros,

Thank you so much for sending Thranduil's letter to me. I could not help but smile when I saw his handwriting. I really did need it. Where do you think your travels will take you next? And very funny about healing bruises. That came up today in lessons and I asked about it. It is harder than what we are working on. Andreth said maybe come winter he will teach me the basics to heal a bruise. He said I have a long way to go.

Elrond

Elrond,

Le i velethron e-guil nîn. I will wait for you no matter how long it takes. Tomorrow morning we are leaving to head east. Father is convinced that he wants to cross the Misty Mountains to get away from the dwarves. He heard there are more Silvan elves out there. Hopefully it will be some where easy to continue getting letters to you. The bath products are amazing. I can not thank you enough for them. I love the scent. Father asked where I got them and I told him in Mithlond before I left. He seemed okay with that answer. I promise to send you letters when I can, but I can not guarantee that I can receive letters once I leave. Elros has been handing me these when I am away from father. Gi melin.

Thranduil

Elrond,

By the time this reaches you, we will have moved again. One of the men knows enough Khuzdul that we are headed to Belegost. It will be interesting to see how their culture is different than ours. I will make sure to send a letter to you before we leave. We are thinking of heading south before it starts cooling down. We are not sure yet. I had a dream last night that I was on a ship, sailing into the unknown. The only thing out there was Gil-Estel, the star they say dad was following to Valinor. I do not know how else to explain it. I hope this is a good sign and not a sign that I should have made a different choice. I have not mentioned it to my traveling party yet. I did find out that most of the group I am traveling with are the Edain. A few are Drúedain. It is so interesting to hear the tales of the Edain in comparrison to those we grew up with. Out great-grandfather, Tuor, was on of the Edain. Maybe one day I will have more time to write and tell you some of their tales. Till next time,

Elros

Elros,

I told Andreth of your dream. He wants to know more about it. Also tell me about Belegost. I would love to know about the dwarves. Maybe one day I will be able to convince Andreth to let me join him on his trades. I want to see the world like you are. I have not heard from Thranduil since his last letter you sent. I know that there is little out east so hearing from him will be little to none. I healed more than a scratch today. Andreth said that I am progressing well. There is an elleth in town that knows Andreth. She is pregnant and due any day now. She agreed to let Andreth deliver the child with me as his assistant. I will admit that I am slightly nervous about this, but also excited to learn and help.

Well, it seems I did not get to send this to you before the baby came. Elros, I do not envy elleth in their ability to bear children. I pray that the Valar bless the woman you end up with. This elleth labored for close to an entire day before she delivered the smallest boy I have ever seen. Another part of me could not help, but feel upset that I will never get to hold my own child in my arms. Please treasure the moment you have your own child. It was definately something else.

Elrond

Elrond,

I pray that the Valar will bless you with your own children on day. Even if that means you take in a child in need of a family, someone is kind enough to have a child for you, or you find yourself in a situation where you come about a child. If Thranduil is going to be king after his father and you end up with him, you two will need an heir to the throne. As far as Belegost, it is something else, Elrond. I have never seen weapons like there. It is so hot here that we have been staying out of their halls for the most part. Their armor includes something they call chain-mail. They have intertwined many rings of metal to make shirts to go over their normal cloths, but under regular armor. Their helmets have masks of steel to protect them. They also said their weapons have damaged dragons, including Glaurung. Coming here has been a blessing.

Now onto the dream... Elrond, I keep having the same dream. Every night it is the same. I am on a ship in the middle of the water. Every way I look is water and the ship is not small. Think back to dad and the ship he built with Círdan. The only thing in my dream is Gil-Estel shining bright in the sky. The ship is always headed towards it. I talked with one of the Edain who said he keeps having similar dreams. Something keeps telling me to follow it. I have to trust that this is what I am suppose to do. I will write when I can.

Elros

Elrond,

We have reached Edhellond. I am very shocked Oropher did not head this way. The whole town is mainly Sindar and Silvan elves. There are some Nandor as well. It is still small compared to Mithlond. It does feel good to be amongst people besides our paty for once. On the way here, I talked with the Edain about the dream. It still comes nightly and everyone is in agreement that we sails west and follow Gil-Estel. Once spring comes, we will leave on a ship and sail out. Please send word from Mithlond when you can.

Elros

Elros,

Andreth agrees with you decision to sail west. He also said do not forget what he told you. He will not explain that to me. Maybe one day I will understand. As far as what you said about a child, I would take one in if it has no family. I see that being the only way I will have a family of my own. As far as an heir goes, I do not have to have one. Gil-Galad does not have an heir. I know he has said that one of use would take over, but you decided to be mortal and I still have no desire to take the title of the next High King of the Noldor. I do not see that ever changing.

Andreth has taught me to start healing bruises. They are very difficult. I have yet to heal one after a week of training. Andreth keeps telling me that with time and practice I will get it right. It just does not seem to be going my way at all. We did another orc hunt the other day. This one ended much better than my first one. Due to this orc pack having forty members, Andreth helped me take them down. It was very different fighting along side someone. There is still talk that I could go on trades with Andreth, but Gil-Galad also said he wants to make sure that I can hold my own in battle before he allows me to travel longer than a day out. I understand where he is coming from, but it is annoying. I am sure you understand that as well.

Elrond

Elrond,

I understand why you feel the way you do. I would want to travel and do trades too. But I also understand where Gil-Galad is coming from. I can not tell you how thankful I have been to travel with such a large party. There have been multiple times that I have worried we would lose at least one man. Thankfully that has only happened once. Loosing one of your own men is something I pray you never experience, but I fear you will see much more than one. I do take it you have not heard from Thranduil still. I also have to ask, has it snowed yet?

Elros

Elros,

I fear that you may be right. I may see a lot more than one death and I fear it. Thankfully sickness and old age really is not an issue for the first born. I have yet to receive a letter from Thranduil. I fear he may be unable to send one with his father. That or there is no way to get it back this way. Being winter, I hope that Oropher has enough decency to stop travel. It has snowed and a lot more than we have seen since being with Maglor. Some elves think that means it will be an easy winter, but everyone in the palace thinks it will be a long, drawn out winter. We will see. Are there any women you are interested in? Anything interesting going on?

Elrond

Elrond,

I hope this finds you well. Father will not stop even though it is winter. He keeps going on that if we stop, then we will die. We have not gotten to the Misty Mountains yet. I do not think my father knows where he is going. Thankfully we were able to cross paths with a trader. I hope he gets this to you.

Thranduil

Elrond,

Enjoy the snow for me. We have not gotten any down here. Our ship is about half built. And no, there are no women I am interested in. I will admit, Oropher worries me. I hope he is not dragging Thranduil to his death. Not much is going on here. Things are quiet. The dreams have not stopped. Nothing has changed in them either.

Elros

Elros,

I received a letter from Thranduil. He believes they are lost and have yet to reach the Misty Mountains. Oropher refuses to stop for winter out of fear they will die. That's all the letter said. Andreth went out on a trade today and said I am unable to travel with him. I finally healed my first bruise today. It took me most of the winter, but I did it! The snow has not let up at all. Please tell me if your dreams change before you sail.

Elrond

Elrond,

That worries me about Oropher, but there was news today that a group was spotted maybe a days trip out. I am starting this letter now, but will not finish it and send it till I know for sure if it is them or not. Trust Andreth, Elrond. I can not stress that enough. He knows what he is doing and will not make the wrong choices. I am also very proud of you for healing your first bruise. You are doing very well and have come a long way. I know you still have a lot to learn. It still has not snowed here. I wish it had, but I have no control over the weather.

The group was Oropher and Thranduil. They are safe and are not leaving for a while. I am sending Thranduil's letter with mine.

Elros

Elrond,

I do not think my father really knew where we were going. Thankfully the trader we passed pointed us in the right direction. Traveling in the snow is rough. Rougher than training. I much rather be in Mithlond, training in the snow. Thankfully the last day here did not have snow. Not much has happened during our travels. Father keeps trying to introduce me to different elleths, but I keep turning them down. You would not believe some of them. They are so far from what I consider attractive. Elrond, none of them come close to you in any way.

Thranduil

Elros,

Thank you so much for sending Thranduil's letter as well. And thank you for saying that. I have been doing what I can to help the people of Mithlond. Being able to help as a healer has been fun. I really do enjoy it. Gil-Galad has quit pushing me to rule after him. I really hope that is a good sign. Andreth showed up yesterday. He picked up some more bath products for you on the way home. The snow has almost completely melted now. Hope you are doing well.

Elrond

Thranduil,

I am doing well here and am happy to know you are okay. I was super worried for you when I got your last letter. Please make sure when you head out next time that you stay sage. I can not loose you. I am sorry about the elleths. I have to ask, what do you see in me that is attractive?

Elrond

Elrond,

This is my last letter for a bit. Father has insisted to keep traveling. I will send letters as I can. I personally think you are very attractive. I also love smart people. The fact that you are beautiful, smart, and talented has won me over. I do not know how else to explain it.

Thranduil

Elrond,

Our ship is done. It is exactly like the one in my dreams. I can not put off leaving any longer. Keep working on your healing. Thranduil is heading out in the morning. We plan to leave tonight to follow the star. Stay strong and safe. I will tell you what I find.

Elros

Elrond, I promised to tell you what we find. It is an island. There is a mountain we can see. I am sending one man back while the rest of us stay. We named the island Elenna. Our plan is to stay here. The Edain keep telling me they want me to rule. The Drúedain keep insisting on it as well. They gave me the title Tar-Minyatur. The man I am sending back is going to send word to the rest of the Edain to follow us here. I wish I could tell you more about the island, but I can not till we land and explore. By that time, the ship will have already left. I will make sure to write to you. Be safe.
