Bridge could not stop pacing his room. He had faith that J.J would make it home. He was good at hiding but, this, this was worse than that. It's like his toaster broke or he had no butter. Or someone got hurt and… a nock snaped Bridge out of his thoughts. "Bridge?" Sky's voice came from the other side of the door before it opened. Sky stood in the doorway. His blue eyes were bright and filled with hope but Bridge in his state could feel worry coming off of him. Bridge sighed but he did his best trying to hide the headache that was coming. Sometimes he hatted having his power. "Your worried about J.J," Sky asked his friend who sat down and nodded slowly. He then ran his gloved hand over his face and sighed.
"I know shouldn't and yes this is rare for me to not ramble but... how can I be…." Bridge cut off and wiped the blood from his nose. "I can feel your nerves you know. It's getting to me," Bridge said after a few seconds. Shy sighed and sat down on his old bed.
"I know I'm sorry. We should have faith in J.J. He's smart. Are you ready to go when we can send you back?" Shy asked standing up. Bridge stood up and smiled. However Shy could tell he was even more worried.
Yes... but what if… what if he doesn't want to come back... like in the movies? Like in the time travel movies when they meet someone new, and they had to try to get them to see that their family is in their time and not in the past and…" Shy raised his hand cutting him off. Shy laughed a little and walked over to the door. "I'll see you in the command center. You should see Kat about why your powers are strong right now," Shy said before he left, Bridge smiled and sighed looking down to his gloves, and walked out of the room as well.
J.J felt weird as he talked with his grandparents about himself. Sure, he couldn't say anything about his job or the fact that he was their son's, son. However, he did point out that he got into a fight which is why he was hurt in the park. J.J could not help but watch his father when he started talking about his father's accident. J.J knew that his father was listening but J.J knew that he couldn't bring up why he got into that car crash. "That's why you don't like hospitals?" Tommy asked after he took a drink. J.J looked at his father with tears in his eyes and nodded.
"Yeah, he's ok now but sometimes…" J.J shook his head. "Never mind. Anyway, I'll never live up to him in his work," J.J muttered the last part. Tommy heard it and dropped his head before he mouthed to J.J:
"Later," J.J nodded and finished eating.
"So, J.J where you from?" his grandfather asked. J.J smiled and wiped the tears from his eyes before he said:
"Reefside. My father is a teacher," J.J said knowing that everyone in the room will forget about him soon. J.J hoped though that someone would come and get it him even though he liked being with his father. How will he live up to him though? His father, the great green ranger and leader? J.J sighed as he walked back up the stairs. Tommy shared a look with his parents and followed J.J.
Bridge stood in the command center holding onto his Morpher. He looked up at Sky who smiled at him. "Go ahead Bridge. He will hear you," Sky said. Bridge nodded and opened his Morpher. "J? J can you hear me," Bridge said into his Morpher.
'Bridge? Oh, am I glad to hear your voice. Listen I'm sorry about going on my own without the team. I just want to be home," J.J said making Bridge smile.
"Don't worry about that. Listen. I'm coming to get you. It might take a long time and I think maybe the other rangers can help but I will be there don't worry," Bridge said. "I'll see you when I get there," J.J laughed a little.
"I'll see you. Um, it's really weird seeing dad as a teen," J.J said laughing a little. Bridge laughed and hung up.
"I feel a little better," Bridge muttered when alarms went off. "Well, let's see," Bridge said before he morphed and waited for the others to come in.
"Let's take down this guy and then get J.J back. Bridge told the team before they ran into action.
