A/N :- Warnings and Disclaimers -Based on the latest ch 148, my spin on the narrative so far..Although, I would personally love it if the story heads in a similar direction, but the author knows best!
And oh yeah,Language warning!
It's Sangchul, what do you expect? Lol.
He stared blankly at the clock merrily ticking away the minutes, with a dead, impassive glaze clouding his eyes. What was he doing at the Hirahara Corporation again? his mind wandered listlessly. Right, his overly concerned, beloved father wanted him to come to work as agreed, face the office gossip and humiliation he brought upon the family, and suffer the subsequent repurcussions till he finally gets his ass over to the prison in the upcoming week. Something they both were eagerly looking forward to, it seems.
He had finally succeeded, didn't he? In disappointing his father to the highest degree possible. Quite a feat, only one of his sons could hope to accomplish. A self deprecating smile touched his lips. Rand Hirahara should have known better. If this was his idea of punishment, he thought dully, then his son was beyond the point of caring.
He just couldn't wait to leave this all behind.
"I couldn't wait for you to simply disappear. Guess all I needed was some time, you did a fantastic job all by yourself." A mocking voice broke through his reverie.
Yeong gi casted a disinterested glance at the source, a person he least wanted to see was sprawled languidly in his office chair, head cocked at a mocking angle as a proud smirk played leisurely on his lips.
A face he once wanted to punch badly, but could no longer muster the drive to even care about anymore.
"Get lost, Sangchul."
A massively irritating chuckle reached his ears. "Got to say, dude. I didn't know you felt so strongly about me.. Strongly enough to shoulder the entire blame. I'm quite flattered." A new key of something unfamiliar has entered his tone.
Yeong gi shrugged. Going back to staring at the clock. If he just pretended Sangchul didn't exist, that he was anywhere than here, then maybe the hours would be more bearable.
"Don't you dare ignore me," Sangchul growled menacingly.
Yeong gi sighed. Looks like his companion has given up on the last shred of pretence at civility. He firmly swivelled his chair around to face him headfront. Fiery green orbs met frosty blue ones as he confronted him in a steadfast glowering contest.
"What do you want Sangchul?" Yeong gi gritted out through clenched teeth.
"Why did you do that, idiot?" he snapped.
"Why do you even care?"
"Perhaps cause I don't want this.. this bullshit favor," he growled. There was something remotely feral in his countenance.
Anger flared up like molten lava inside Yeong gi. What the heck is wrong with everyone? Why can't they just leave him alone? No matter what he says, what he does, somebody needs to complain.
"Have you ever thought, that perhaps I didn't do it for you, you smartass? Why would I even do that, when all I want is to pommel you to pieces? Did you lost your mind at that thinly veiled nepotism facade, you call a campus tour?" he snarled.
"So is this what this is about? Poor baby can't go to Oxford, so he'll show everyone, he'll go to jail? F*ING Hilarious."
It took nearly every bit of will power from Yeong gi to not just flung himself at that richly annoying, smug face and strangle him to death. He closed his eyes, instead and took a long, deep breath, asking for self restraint. On further thoughts, he's already on his way to jail. How much more can another punch hurt?
"What about Alyssa, huh? Would you like me to give her some company in your absence?"
A vein throbbed in Yeong gi's forehead. Now this prick is really asking for it.
"YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HER."
Sangchul snorted. "As if she'd like to stick around such an impulsive, self destructive boyfriend."
Yeong gi paused. He had no idea what is going through her head at all. He hadn't really stopped to wonder how she'd react, what it would mean for her career. For perhaps the first time in years, he was partly thankful that they hadn't gone fully public. Still, what if someone recognised him? Those crazy fans at the park? His forehead crinkled with worry as he clenched his fists, digging half moons into his palms.
A momentary pause settled over the scene.
Sangchul himself wasn't sure why he was positively seething with anger. Isn't this what he exactly wanted? For Nol to rot in some jail far, far away. Good riddance! He thought furiously. He should be out celebrating, probably with a bottle of something hard in his hand and a woman in his arm. He bristled. Then why the fucking hell was he so damn pissed?! Why did it bother him if Nol hid behind some bloody bars like the fucking coward loser that he is?! He scowled at the floor. Guess he doesn't exactly like owing someone something. Especially if that someone is this redheaded gigantic asshole.
"F* THIS BULLSHIT."
Yeong gi's eyes snapped open with a startle as his team mate jolted upright to his feet.
"Go to Jail or whatever. I don't give a damn! This self sacrificing bullshit will lead you bloody nowhere. Away from that hag witch Hirahara, perhaps. Great, Fucking brilliant! Congrats."
He glared down at him. And for a second, Yeong gi couldn't breathe under his scrutiny. It seemed like he had somehow disappointed more than just his friends or father. A sweat drop slowly trailed down his back as he suppressed a sudden, irrational urge to squirm under his hard cold gaze.
"Tch." Sangchul spun upon his heel and left the room, banging the door with a resounding, loud wham in his wake.
Slowly, Yeong gi let out the breath he wasn't sure he was holding. Disappointing your friends and father is one feeling, disappointing your arch nemesis is on a whole other level altogether, it seems.
