"Hello and welcome back to history class!" an excited espeon squeaked out to her class of pokemon and human.

"So today we are going to be learning about the war of 2020 which is one of my favorite lessons to teach, for obvious reasons." the espeon said as she got up and started to write something on the whiteboard.

"now a common misconception about this war is that it happened in the year 2020, this war actually happens in the year 2021 on Jan 21. why we call it the 2020 war is because in the late part of the year 2020 the tensions between the government and eeveelutions tribes grew. These tensions grew because of a law that was passed, this law was called the eeveelutions act of 2020. this law did a lot more things than what I'm going to mention but this is the most important part of the law. the eeveelutions act allowed the government to put down any pokemon that were proven to be dangerous and it was very easy to prove that all wild pokemon are very dangerous."

"Mrs. Pearl, why was it called the eeveelutions act If it applied to more than just eeveelutions?" a young Poochyena asked.

"yes, that was because the main purpose of the law was to try and shut down breeding facilities that bred and solid eeveelutions." the class started to murmur at the thought of their eeveelutions friend being caged up shipped and solid for pure profit.

"This of course failed and backfired on the government in a war. another thing that set the tensions high was the breeding attack, as most like to call it, that happens on Jan 13, 2021. this attack was an attack that was long coming from the Higwa (Higa-wa), it was an attack on one of the 14 eeveelutions breeding facilities. this breeding facility was located close by to Agency Montana. The breeding attack was an attack that tried to eliminate the facilities and get any eeveelutions out of the breeding facilities and into the wilded. one of the guards of that breeding facility happen to get a recording of the attack when it happened in turn, the video went viral and got on the news casing massive public outcry. on Jan 15 the government launches a military force to put down all the eeveelutions that annihilated the building. This military attack was met by a force that was both more powerful and had more in numbers, needless to say, the military force was shut down before it could even start. There were more than 600 deaths in this attack both of eeveelutions and humans alike but the thing that shocked the world the most was that the leader of the eeveelutions revolt sent out a message saying that basically said 'leave us alone, we don't want to be controlled by you.' now that might not sound that shocking to most of you but it was to the human that was under the impression that eeveelutions were like dogs, dogs can't understand or speak any language like a human could. they were also fed information like this by corporations who knew the truth but knew that the truth would ruin their business. yes?" Pearl ask one of her students that were holding their hand up.

"what were you doing during this war?" the Pikachu asked excited to hear her story.

"well, if you all finish your homework by tomorrow then I will tell you my side of the war." this got all the students excited and some ripped out their homework and started doing it right there.

"ok no, let put away our homework and wait until after my lecture. now, where was I? oh, the official start to the war. on Jan 21, 2021, the Higwa and it's over 3 million members launched a very violent protest in Helena. (the capital of Montana) this protest lasts until the end of the war and left the city in ruins. now I'm not going to go into detail until next week and you'll be having a quiz over the war in two weeks." everyone groaned at the thought of a quiz.

"but let move on to the end of the war in 2024. after all the blood that ran across America after the war, Congress drafted up a bill and a new Amendment that gave all pokemon equal rights to humans. The war was over and pokemon live fairer live but that doesn't mean that things are all good for pokemon, just like after the Civil War on May 9, 1865. do you think that everything was ok and no one hated what happened? no, we are still dealing with the problems of racism in this country. now for the last 20 minutes of class, you can work on your homework from last night."

hi, it been a while. I hope you enjoyed this since the hole book is inspired by a story on fanfiction called wish by Chlorophyll19. but this prologue was something that I have had siting in my mind for a long time. if you want more of what you see in this prologue just tell me, I would love to write my interpretation on how life would look like if pokemon were just put on this plant. but that it, have fun. :)
