"Are you ready, Angela?" A jolteon said to his partner in crime, the both of them sitting upon a table.

"Ready... You remember what to do, right?" The espeon said, making sure he didn't forget.

"Yeah, I go down and distract her while you get the phone, and then you distract her with the phone while I get the keys to the door." He explained needlessly.

"Ok, you didn't have to explain the plan," Angela said. Hopping off the kitchen table and walking to her trainer's room.

"Well, you wouldn't have believed me if I didn't." The jolteon defended, following shortly after Angela.

"Ok, ok. Whatever you say, Neon." They both walked to the room where their trainer was talking on the phone in her bed. The bed that she laid on had two polls at the end of the bed that was perfect for an Eeveelution to sit on. Angela jumped up onto the poll while Neon jumped onto the bed. He drew the attention of his trainer.

"Oh, hey, look who decided to join me." Their trainer said, pointing the phone's camera at the jolteon.

"Oh, and the other one decided to join me too." She said, pointing the camera at Angela, but she just sat there trying to stare a hole through the phone. The trainer continued her conversation.

"... Oh, yeah, they like never comes into my room... No their my dad's. He needs them for his work or something... Yeah, he's a trainer..." The girl when on with her conversation, but Neon was on a mission. He had to make her focus on him. So he slid in between his trainer's arm and her body.

"OH, NEON!" She screamed in surprise since Neon mistook her legs for her arms. Can you blame him though she was under a large blanket? These actions caused her to drop the phone she was holding onto the floor. Seizing the moment, Angela swooped down and grabbed the phone, making off with the price that she obtained. Though Angela had to stifle laughter the whole time.

"Neon, don't do that." She said to the jolteon who was blushing from his mistake. Angela, who was still stifling laughter for Neon's mistake, stood in the hallway with the phone in her maw. She made a tiny sound to get her trainer's attention before sprinting off into the living room for a cat and mouse chase.

"Hey, wait. That's my phone. Give it back!" She yelled before chasing Angela into the living room. Once they were both gone, Neon could wipe the blush off his face. Now his only priority was to get the keys.

Now the keys.

The keys that Neon was after were high up in a drawer that would take some effort to get to. The first thing that Neon tried was to jump up onto the poll by her bed and jump onto the dresser, the attempt kind of work. He definitely got the key, but he also got the dresser... on the floor.

Oops.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Their trainer yelled from the other room at the obscene amount of destruction Neon caused. The torment the two Eeveelutions were giving was starting to get to her. With His trainer's remark, Neon bolted out of the room and to the front door. Where he tried to unlock the door.

"Come on, stupid paws, work!" Neon said to himself out of the frustration of not having opposable thumbs, But eventually, he got it.

"Angela, come on!" Neon said to the espeon who was hiding away from her trainer under some furniture. With Neon's encouragement, Angela ran like hell to get to the front door. Dropping the phone that her trainer tried so desperately to get back. Once They were both on the other side of the door, Angela grabbed a broom and set it against the door so no one could open it. The both of them took a second to breathe a sigh of relief. The room that they were in had a staircase that led down to the actual front door.

"So Neon, what was all that crashing back there?" Angela asked while taking the keys to unlock the door.

"So, you know where the keys were kept, right?"

"Yeah, of course." She responded.

"Well... I tipped over the whole dresser."

"Neon," Angela said, pretending to scold him.

"What, it was an accident." Neon defend. Now the door was unlocked, and they both started to run to the sweet freedom they always needed.

"FREEDOM!" They both screamed as they ran into the forest. The wind rushing through their fur felt so freeing.

"HELL YEAH! It feels so good to run again!" Angela screamed. It had been so long since Angela and Neon have been out in the wild; it felt unusual. The wind, The fresh scent of nature, The feeling of being alive. It all came to them like it did the thousands of times they escaped before this.

After a couple of miles of straight sprinting, they both wanted to take a break. So they did, walked around to see what they could find.

"Hey, Angela. I just remember that it's my birthday in two days?" Neon said. He was still out of breath from all the running that they both did.

"Oh really? I didn't remember... Sorry." She apologized.

"It's fine. I don't even remember when yours is..." There was a brief silence where they wandered aimlessly around, only making sure to stick near each other.

"So... What do we do now? It's been a long time since we're last in the wild." Neon asked.

"I don't know. Maybe we can find a place out here that we can call home."

"... just you and me? Don't you think that you will get lonely without someone else?" Neon questioned.

"No, why would you think that?" Angela questioned his questions.

"Well, I mean sexually. You aren't attracted to me, so I thought you might get lonely. Neon explained.

"Oh... Well, I can find someone if that is the case."

"But let's just focus on finding a place to stay first," Angela added. Trying to quill his questions. They both when back to roaming around aimlessly, only being loosely tied to each other. After some time, Neon found a river that he promptly called out.

"Angela, look!" Neon yelled out.

"What... what is it?" Angela asked, walking up beside Neon to see what he was looking at. When she saw the open clearing that led to the rushing river, she said.

"Oh, perfect. We can stay here for the night," She surveyed the area around the river for any potential places that they could sleep in.

"Yeah, but I'm getting a drink first," Neon said, padding over to the river. Angela decided to hang around behind him with the formation of a devious plan. When Neon was drinking the water in the river, Angela chose then to enact her plan.

"SURPRISE!" Angela screamed, pushing him into the river. The bitterly cold water was a shock to Neon, who was now flailing around in surprise.

"HEY! WHAT THE FUCK, ANGELA!" he screamed, in between the bobs of his head above the surface. But Angela just laughed her ass off at his response. Eventually, Neon calmed down enough to get a footing on the Shoreline.

Know what. If you want to play that game, then I'll play that game.

Taking advantage of the footing he had gained, Neon grabbed Angela's forefoot and pulled her in with him.

"AH, NEO-" She cried, but her shouts were cut off. Now it was Neon's turn to laugh his ass off on the shore, and he sure did. When Angela resurfaced, she had a lot better form than Neon.

"Neon, you asshole," Angela said in a calm yet anger-filled tone.

"What? What did I do?" Neon snickered before going back into laughter. But Angela didn't take his laughing fit too fondly. Instead, she took advantage of his vulnerability and grabbed him, pulling him back into the water.

"Never let your guard down!" She exclaimed as he was getting dragged into the water, jumping out of the way to make sure she didn't get hit by the ensuing barrage of water.

"HEY! No fair!" Neon pouted when he re-emerged from the water.

"Well, you shouldn't have let your guard down." She retorted. Neon paddled his way over to Angela and took stealthy aim, firing a blast of cool water in her direction. The water hit her and everything around her.

"Oh, ok... Game on!" Angela said, proceeding to throw out a blasted of her own causing Neon to duck under the water. When he came back to the surface, he brought with him a torrent of water. They both attack each other for hours until they eventually tired them selfs out. When they were done having their water fight, they dried themselves off by the shore.

"Well, now that we're thoroughly soaked and it's almost nighttime, I think we should find a place to stay," Angela commented as she was shaking some of the water out of her fur.

"Yeah... I'll go find us a place." Neon agreed, out of breath from the battle they just had. Though he got up to find them a place to stay.

"make sure to stay here." Neon reminded as he walked down the river.

"I will," Angela reassured. She used her psychic to pull out the excess water from her fur. Neon searched for a suitable den. He used a method that he learned a long time ago on how to get water out of his fur. He simply sent electricity through his coat, causing the water to evaporate.

It didn't take long for Neon to find a den that was abandoned. Which was a pleasant surprise to him since he didn't think many Eeveelutions lived here. And he was only looking for a spot to build a den at. Neon took a look into the shelter. It was spacious with plenty of wooden furniture that looked rather fancy amongst the stone interior. There was a bed in the corner that looked like it needed some new grass over the top. The den also had a back entrance that led to a makeshift patio overlooking the river.

"well, damn if this isn't a lucky find." Neon muttered to himself as he ran his paw over the wooden table held together by several vines. After admiring all the craftsmanship that went into this den, Neon started the venture back to Angela. It wasn't a long trackback to her, but it was enough time for Neon to get lost in nature. The forest around him was densely packed with trees that mostly blocked all the sunlight from the late evening. An Eerie calm rang out through the rare chirps of the birds. And an evening's chill whisked by with the occasional breeze.

The venture to the abandoned den with Angela was uneventful, just a heavy silence between the two of them as they enjoyed the nature around them. The rushing river beside them drew most of the curious Espeon's attention. Thoughts of the epic water fight they had filled her head, making her miss the fun they just had.

"I don't think I have had fun like that in years," Angela said out of the blue as she reminisced about the fun they had.

"Uh, yeah... I kind of miss it." Neon admitted.

"Yeah... I just hope that no human finds us in the forest." She said, remembering when they got trapped by Animal Control and had to spend a couple of days in a dog shelter.

The writers block it real. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
