Difficult Adoration/ Tough Love

Squall adored Laguna.

He wouldn't admit, even under torture, but the fact remained that he adored him. And not in a way that society approved of, either.

For a few hours, he had actually believed that he could tell the man that, when he had been summoned to his office on 'personal business'.

And then, Laguna had explained the whole father/son business, and everything went to hell in a handbasket, on the back of a socially-challenged chocobo.

Yep, it really threw a spanner in the works.

But, as Squall told himself, it wasn't all that bad. He just had to convince Laguna his son didn't hate him now, and song him senseless before anything was said about family.

Of course, he needed to actually find the man first.
