A horde of Bunny's undecorated eggs soon came running out of the tunnel, so he got into a battle-ready stance. Then everyone else did too. Even the statues looked very different due to the imbalance going on. Eventually, a young girl was shown and she came out, holding out some unpainted Easter eggs.
"Hey... It's that girl..." Casper said, not remembering what her name was though.
"Sophie?" Jack asked.
The Guardians laughed nervously as they put away their combat gear.
"What is she doing here?" Mary Ruth firmly asked.
"Uhh... Snowglobe." North replied nervously.
"Crikey!" Bunny gasped. "Somebody do something!"
"Well, don't look at me, I'm invisible, remember?" Jack shrugged nonchalantly.
"Great... A kid found out our secret," Cherry groaned. "Humanity is doomed!"
"Don't worry, no one will believe she was here; they'll just think she has a great imagination." Mary Ruth assured her.
"She's right, Cherry. Someone at her age anyone older would just think she imagined it." Mo said.
"It's okay, Bunny; I bet she's a fairy fan," Tooth smiled before looking at Sophie. "Hello, little one."
"Pretty." Sophie smiled back.
"Aw, you know what? I have something for you," Tooth smiled as she showed teeth in her left hand. "Look at the pretty teeth. Look at all blood and gums on them."
"3." Atticus started.
"2." Patch continued.
"1." The adventure group cued together with a knowing sigh.
Sophie soon cried and screamed before running off on her own to find some more Easter eggs.
"Blood and gums?" Jack chuckled at Tooth. "When was the last time you guys actually hung out with kids?"
"Looks like my teeth at the dentist's office." Cherry grimaced.
"Yes, you have to brush after every meal," Patch told her. "Even dogs have cleaner mouths than that!"
"Yeah, yeah, we all know the legend that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's." Cherry replied.
"A kid is loose in this world," Mary Ruth told North as Sophie tried to play games with them. "What do you think we should do? This is YOUR workshop~"
"We are very busy bringing joy to children!" North replied as Sophie ran around, laughing. "We don't have time for children."
Bunny and Tooth began to look unsure about that statement.
"Hm... If one little kid can ruin Easter, then, we're in worse shape than I thought." Jack replied before making a snowflake flow in the wind.
And where the snowflake soon began to glide in the wind before making contact with Bunny as he soo smiled after the snowflake hit him.
"Something tells me we'll be able to get the Easter eggs ready," Patch smiled. "Especially since we have a little helper with us."
Many Easter eggs were seen behind Bunny and Sophie as they were in front of a flower as it opened to show an Easter egg, ready to be colored as Sophie giggled.
"You ready to make some eggs?" Bunny asked her.
"Okay." Sophie smiled.
"Come on then." Bunny smiled back.
A whole army of Easter eggs was shown ready for Easter were seen going in one direction.
"Uh... Are those things alive?" Cherry asked.
"Just when I think I've seen it all ever since Atticus adopted me, something comes along and proves me wrong." Patch remarked.
"Rimsky-Korsakov! That's a lot of eggs!" North gasped.
"Uh, how much time do we have?" Jack soon asked as Sophie laughed, having fun riding on Bunny's back as they darted around the eggs.
More flowers were soon dusting and coloring the eggs.
"Feels like not a lot of time if you ask me." Yoyo remarked.
"All right, troops, it's time to push back!" Bunny soon told the others as Sophie was moved away from his back, having the best time any kid could have right now in their young lives. "That means eggs everywhere! Heaps of you in every high rise, farmhouse, and trailer park! In tennis shoes and cereal bowls! Oh, there'll be bathtubs filled with my beautiful goodies!"
"Can we just skip to the part where we find the Easter eggs and then my mom cooks them into egg salad sandwiches?" Cherry asked with a low groan.
"You're just upset because you're not feeling like yourself," Mo said to the perky goth. "It'll get better soon."
"Somehow, I'm not too sure about that..." Cherry sulked, rubbing her hands together.
"No really, Cherry, it'll get better; I just know it." Mo said.
An elf was soon seen kicking one of the eggs into a colorful river before starting to dance in place until he looked to see the rest of the eggs coming before ending up in the colorful river with them. One of the Easter eggs was then seen running in place while floating upside down until being lifted out of the colorful water by North.
"Okay, that's, um, that's pretty strange." North commented.
"More than just a little." Patch added.
No, mates," Bunny shook his head as he held a dozen of painted eggs. "That's adorable."
The elf then climbed out, delighted at how he's all painted up. Mo chuckled a little, finding that pretty cute.
"There will be Springtime!" Bunny told them as he hopped onto a rock and lifted his arms up in the air. "On every continent and I'm bringing hope with me!"
The eggs then slid through some machines, giving the eggs a more colorful design than just assorted colors. One yeti soon painted an egg as pure red.
"Too Christmas-y, mate. Paint 'em blue." Bunny advised before he soon took off.
Cherry soon sighed as she picked up one egg. "I might as well help too..." she then said softly as she began to paint the egg in black and orange stripes as they represented her favorite holiday of Halloween.
"What's that up there?" Bunny asked Sophie as he saw a very colorful egg.
Sophie giggled as she went up and picked up the very colorful egg before bringing it over to Bunny.
"That's a beauty. Now all we gotta do is get him and his buddies through the tunnels and we'll have ourselves a Happy Easter." Bunny smiled to Sophie.
The Easter eggs began to start making their way into the tunnels.
"I'm never going to look at Easter the same way again." Mo commented.
"I know just what ya mean." Patch nodded in agreement.
"Not bad." Jack remarked as he saw what was going on with Bunny and Sophie.
"Not bad yourself." Bunny replied as he held Sophie comfortably and soothingly.
"Ah, look, I-I'm sorry about the whole... Ya know, the 'kangaroo thing'?" Jack soon apologized.
"Why did you even think he was a kangaroo in the first place?" Casper asked cynically.
"It's the accent, isn't it?" Bunny added.
Jack and Bunny soon chuckled together until the others began to show up.
"Ah, poor little ankle-biter," Bunny cooed as he looked down at Sophie. "Look at her, all tuckered out."
"I love her," Tooth smiled fondly. "I think it's time to get her home."
"How about we take her home?" Jack offered, referring to himself and the adventure group.
"Jack, no, Pitch is out there-" Tooth began to warn.
"No match for this," Jack reassured, holding up his staff. "Plus that Atticus kid looks as strong as an Olympian god."
"Which is why we need you here, with us." Bunny told him.
"Trust me, I'll be quick as a bunny and Cherry can take him on if anything happens." Jack reassured.
"I'm gonna WHAT?!" Cherry asked as she began to panic again. "I'm unstable, especially without Kimba!"
"Oh, come on, you're a dream-bender," Jack told her. "I'm sure you can take on old Pitch."
"Yes, but he feeds off fear and I have lots of fear and not only that, Jackie Frost and King Sombra are also around and I don't want another Fear Drop to be used on me!" Cherry panicked.
"Uh, should one of us go with them?" Wendy asked.
"Yeah, because Cherry doesn't seem in safe mind right now." Yoyo said.
"I think I might go." Wendy said.
"You might be too young." Atticus advised.
"I defeated Desmond Spellman." Wendy reminded.
"I wouldn't feel too comfortable if you went alone, Wendy," Mo advised the young witchling. "Defeating Desmond Spellman or not."
"Oh, all right," Wendy replied as she crossed her arms. "So who's going with me?"
"I'll look after you, Wendy," Casper smiled. "Your safety means a lot more to me than anything else."
"Aw." Wendy smiled.
"And we'll come along." Doc Croc smiled.
"Yeah, that way there'll be more than one with Jack." Yoyo said.
"So shall we go?" Wendy asked Jack.
"All right then," Jack nodded. "Let's do it."
"Awesome! I ain't afraid of no Boogeyman." Wendy chuckled in excitement.
"I worry about you sometimes." Cherry sighed and shook her head.
They soon made it back to Sophie's hometown and Cherry looked around cautiously for Pitch, Jackie, or Sombra, dreading all three of them, but was luckily being quiet so far.
"Back to bed, kiddo." Yoyo whispered softly as Jack helped Sophie back into bed.
"Sweet dreams~" Doc Croc added.
But as Jack tried to get Sophie on her bed, she didn't seem to let him go while sleeping before he got her grip off him as he got up and got ready to leave with the others only for Sophie to yawn as she rolled off the bed, ending up on the floor.
"Please tell me she's okay and no one heard that." Wendy whispered.
"Sophie? You okay?" A woman's voice asked.
"Who's that?" Yoyo yelped.
"Probably the mother." Doc Croc guessed.
Cherry soon tossed down the blanket over Sophie and ran before stepping on a squeaky toy.
"Cherry!" Casper and Wendy whispered firmly.
"Sorry!" Cherry replied as she turned out the light and ran across the floor again, hitting the toy again.
"Cherry!" Casper and Wendy repeated.
"Sorry! Sorry!" Cherry repeated as well as she darted around, looking for the way out.
"Quiet!" Jack told them as he came to the window. "Now, we should get back there."
"Right." Casper and Wendy nodded.
"Indeed, before anything else-" Doc Croc started.
"Jack?" A young girl's voice called out.
Jack soon turned to where he heard the voice, but the voice seemed to be far away somewhere.
"Jack?" The young girl's voice called out.
"That voice... I know that voice." Jack said.
Baby Tooth soon chittered warningly at Jack as they didn't have time for this.
The young girl's voice continued to call out for him.
Jack then took off flying as he followed the source of the sound, though Baby Tooth kept warning him to stay away from the voice. "Don't worry, shh... There's still time." he then told her.
Baby Tooth soon rolled her eyes.
"Stay together, I'll be right back." Cherry told Casper and Wendy.
"Are you sure?" Wendy asked.
"Trust me." Cherry replied and soon took off after Jack as bravely as she could.
Jack was soon walking towards an abandoned bed, then knocked some pieces away with his staff to see into the hole below the bed.
"Jack... Where are you?" Cherry called as she looked around for him. "C'mon... Don't ignore us like Peter Pan ignored Tinkerbell until it was too late..." she then looked wide-eyed and scared. "Oh, dear, I hope that doesn't happen again~"
"Jack?" The young girl's voice continued as Jack leaped into the darkness.
Baby Tooth soon squeaked and even tried tugging on Jack's hoodie to keep him from going any further.
"Baby Tooth, Cherry, come on!" Jack told them as he kept on going anyway. "I have to find out what that is!"
Cherry soon went to follow after Jack, looking around. "Okay, Jack, we don't have time for this," she then said. "We have to go before something terrible happens, especially since I won't be able to protect you against Pitch Black. I think he's worse than Oogie Boogie."
"I'm with Cherry," Wendy said. "We should get back to the others."
"Yeah and I got a bad feeling about this." Casper said.
"Perhaps because we might be going into Pitch Black's domain." Doc Croc replied.
"What makes you say that?" Yoyo asked.
They soon saw lots of black cages hanging as Jack took off to the cages.
"Call it an intuition." Doc Croc told Yoyo.
"I'm very uncomfortable about this," Cherry said. "Not to mention it's getting really cold..."
"Gee... I wonder why that could be?" Jackie's voice smirked.
"Great... It's you..." Cherry groaned. "Well, I'm not afraid of you." she then glared at the entity.
"Not afraid of a little Jackie Frost nipping at your nose, Cher Bear?" Jackie taunted.
Cherry shoved her aside and crossed her arms before her eyes widened a bit.
"Looking for something?" Pitch smirked as he came to see both Cherry and Jack.
Jack soon fired an ice blast at where Pitch was, then chased him through dark corridors.
"Hehehe... Don't be afraid, Jack," Pitch smirked as he soon came onto the bridge. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I won't hurt you either, little dream-bender."
"Afraid?" Jack scoffed. "I'm not afraid of you."
"Maybe not, but you are afraid of something." Pitch retorted.
"You think so, huh?" Jack asked.
"I know so," Pitch told Jack. "It's the one thing I always know people's greatest fears yours is no one is ever going to believe in you."
"Yeah, a little late for that because I believe in Jack." Casper said.
"Same here." Wendy added.
"Me too." Yoyo added.
"As do I." Doc Croc added.
"You would, you pathetic little creatures," Pitch smirked. "When you can't stop me, and yes, dear, I know that you stopped Desmond Spellman, but he's nothing compared to the horrors that I can bring you." he then taunted Wendy before she could say anything.
"Their belief is strong enough to save me." Jack defended to Pitch as strongly as he could, though he felt deeply scared on the inside.
"And worst of all, you're afraid you'll never know why, why you?" Pitch smirked as he taunted Jack.
"So this is your father?" Sombra asked Jackie.
"I guess a different kind," Jackie shrugged as she crossed her arms before smirking. "Though, maybe after this, I'll be the new Princess of Winter because this Jack Frost is pathetic, especially with his new friends and those who came to that Ever After High School."
"So you're helping him!" Wendy glared at Jackie and Sombra. "Stop it right now!"
"Or what?" Jackie smirked. "You're just a tiny little witch, even if you did stop Desmond Spellman, you're still a second-rate little witch and a worse witch than Sabrina Spellman."
"That's not true!" Wendy glared.
"Oh, really? Then tell me how come you can't use one of the most basic of spells?" Sombra smirked at Wendy. "You can't be able to seem to teleport and that one takes practice, but for someone that defeated Desmond Spellman you should have mastered it by now."
"She's a great witch." Casper glared at Sombra.
"Oh, and are you defending her because you love her, or is she a replacement for one of the other girls you were in love with?" Jackie smirked.
"You don't know what you're talking about." Casper glared.
"Then perhaps you'd like to talk to us about Kat Harvey?" Sombra suggested.
"Yes, where is she now?" Jackie added. "I guess you forgot all about her and abandoned her because you never loved her or you think about her whenever you're not with Wendy so you don't hurt her feelings."
"Oh, and let us not forget that Holly girl. Then again her family was too much into the Christmas spirit." Sombra smirked.
"And let's not forget that other girl," Jackie added. "Now what was her name again? Oh, what was it what was it."
"You two are so cruel." Doc Croc glared.
"Yeah, you're just trying to bring out their worst fears which isn't working." Yoyo added.
"Oh, yeah?" Sombra grinned.
Casper and Wendy frowned as they began to both feel scared and nervous.
"You guys have to fight it!" Doc Croc cried out. "Fight their negative thoughts!"
"It's just terrible and probably worse for Jack," Pitch smirked as he witnessed what Jackie and Sombra were doing. "Why were you chosen? To be like this. Well, fear not, for the answer to that... Is right here," he then held out a box. "Do you want them, Jack? Your memories."
Jack soon reached for the box, but soon hesitated slightly.
Pitch laughed as he then vanished while Casper and Wendy were haunted by what Jackie and Sombra were saying. "Everything you wanted to know in this little box," he then laughed some more as Jack soon began to chase him. "Why did you end up like this? Unseen, unable to reach out to anyone; you want the answers so badly. You want to grab them and fly off with them, but you're afraid of what the Guardians will think. You're afraid of disappointing them. Well, let me ease your mind about one thing: they'll never accept you, not really-"
"Stop it! Stop it!" Jack groaned as he clutched his head.
"After all, you're not one of them and these two are unfit to be adventurers." Pitch then said with a smirk as he appeared in the shadows again, pointing to Casper and Wendy. "An unfit witch and a misfit ex-ghost boy that brings shame to all of them... No wonder Kibosh wants to be rid of him."
"W-What?" Casper asked.
"Oh, didn't you know?" Sombra smirked.
"I guess that news never got to you." Jackie added.
"You don't who we are." Jack glared at the three villains.
"'Course we do. You're Jack Frost you make a mess wherever you go," Pitch told him before tossing him the box. "In fact you're doing it right now. And as for those two, they're Casper and Wendy and they are good for nothing unable to help at all."
"What did you do?" Casper demanded as bravely and as strongly as he could.
"More to the point of your new friend Jack Frost, what did he do?" Pitch cackled before he backed off into the darkness with Sombra and Jackie.
Jack soon attempted to chase them, but only ended up on the other side of a stone wall. He then tried to run back in, but there was no door. "Baby Tooth! Casper! Wendy!" he then called out.
"Happy Easter, everypony~" Sombra smirked before he left with Pitch and Jackie.
Jack soon saw many eggshells from the Easter eggs on the ground. "No..." he then said, devastated before going off to where the Easter eggs were supposed to go.
Bunny was seen behind a bush, looking not so happy as the kids didn't find any Easter Eggs.
"There aren't any eggs. They're not here." A boy said, looking sad.
"I give up, come on," Another kid added as it got worse and worse from all of them. "Let's go."
"He didn't come."
"I don't understand."
"Maybe he just hid them really well this year."
"Kids, wait-" Bunny cried out, running up between the two last kids with their basket.
"I checked everywhere," The boy said to the girl. "There's nothing."
"Yes, there is! There is!" Bunny urged. "I mean these aren't my best-lookin' goodies, but they'll do in a pinch!" he then held some out to the two kids out of desperation."
"I can't believe it." The girl began.
"I-I know." Bunny chuckled, hoping that maybe they saw the goodies then.
"There's no such thing as the Easter Bunny." The girl then continued.
"What? No!" Bunny cried out as the others began to look very sad and scared for him.
"Easter's over..." The boy said as they began to leave.
"Wrong! N-Not true! I-I'm right in front of ya', mate!" Bunny cried out as the boy soon passed right through him and he began to look in despair and dismay. "They don't see me... They don't see me..."
"Now, now, I'm sure it'll be okay," Patch said softly. "Thor's little sister and her friends believe in The Easter Beagle? Maybe that will help you."
"I don't think so, kid." Bunny shook his head in strong dismay.
Patch frowned after hearing that.
Jack soon arrived at the scene and saw Bunny's situation.
"Jack, where were you?" North asked as he and the others came over.
"What happened?" Jack asked back.
"The nightmares came through the tunnels," North told him. "They smashed every egg, crushed every basket, nothing made it out."
"This adventure is not working out like I hoped." Atticus frowned.
"Jack!" Tooth called out as she flew over before she gasped and noticed the tooth box. "Where did you get that?"
"I was... It's, uh..." Jack stammered as Casper and Wendy came by, looking miserable.
"Where's Baby Tooth?" Tooth asked, gasping again as she felt even more horrified. "Oh, Jack, what have you done?"
"That is why you weren't here?" North asked firmly. "You were with Pitch?"
"No, listen! Listen!" Jack cried out, trying to explain. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen!"
"He has to go." Bunny suggested.
"What?" Jack asked, facing the large rabbit.
"We should never have trusted you!" Bunny glared before shaking his head. "Easter is... New beginnings, new life. Easter's about hope. And now it's gone."
"Jackie and Sombra told us the worst things we've done in our lives too," Casper sulked. "I forgot all about Kat."
"So I really was a replacement?" Wendy frowned.
"Now, now, he didn't say that." Doc Croc smiled nervously.
"Yeah." Yoyo added.
"He's probably right," Wendy frowned. "I'm just a little kid after all."
"No, Wendy, don't think that." Yoyo said softly.
"Too late." Wendy pouted.
"You've got to have great adventures with Casper though after you met him and your life got a lot better, especially after you got away from your wicked aunts." Doc Croc added hopefully.
"Yeah." Yoyo smiled.
Yoyo and Doc Croc could see Casper and Wendy still didn't look too cheered up.
"Well, at least Cherry is here so we have a fighting chance." Yoyo smiled.
Cherry glanced over, not too sure about that herself on the other hand.
"I do hope those kids will be okay." Doc Croc then said.
"Hopefully." Yoyo nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile...
Jamie was trying to reach for an egg in the gutter of his rooftop, but he lost his balance on the ladder and only broke his fall by clinging to the gutter as it was pulled off. He then yelped as he crashed into the ground and soon looked up, but the egg turned out to be a colorful tennis ball. "Let's check that park again!" he then suggested to his friend.
"Really?" One of the boys asked.
"For what?" Another boy added. "The Easter Bunny?"
"Guys, I told you! I saw him!" Jamie defended. "He's way bigger than I thought! And he's got these cool boomerang things."
"Ugh, grow up Jamie..." Caleb scoffed.
"Oh, man, seriously?" Claude added.
The other kids were sitting around together as they looked very depressed about something.
"What's happened to you guys?" Jamie asked his friends with a frown.
"It was a dream!" Caleb pouted. "You should be happy you still get dreams like that and not-"
"Nightmares." Cupcake added as they turned away.
"Forget it, Jamie," Pippa sulked. "There's just no Easter this year."
"He really is real!" Jamie retorted. "...I know he is."
The globe began to show the lights of the children's belief going out as we are soon zoomed into the Antarctic as it showed where Jack had went after what happened and looked like he wanted to throw the box filled with his memories away, but he couldn't seem to bring himself to do it.
"I knew this would happen. They didn't really believe in you, but I understand." Pitch's voice told Jack as he showed up behind him.
"You don't understand anything!" Jack sneered as he soon shot ice right at Pitch.
"No?!" Pitch glared as they soon began to fight each other. "I do know what it's like to be cast out!"
Suddenly, some fog appeared from their fighting and Pitch disappeared into it while he had the chance.
"To not be believed in!" Pitch continued as he was then shown again. "To long for... A family."
Jack glared, but he soon lowered his staff, slowly calming down, but not fully yet.
"All those years in the shadows, I thought, 'No one else knows what this feels like'," Pitch smirked once he had Jack's attention. "But now I see I was wrong. We don't have to be alone, Jack. I believe in you and I know children will too!"
"In me?" Jack asked softly.
"Yes! Look at what we can do!" Pitch replied, showing to a spiky creation of ice and black sand, made during their clash. "What goes together better than cold and dark? We can make them believe! We'll give them a world where everything, everything is-"
"Pitch Black?" Jack guessed.
"And Jack Frost too," Pitch nodded. "They'll believe in both of us."
"After all, you might go down in history better than that red-nosed freak down in the North Pole." Jackie added mischievously.
"No, they'll fear both of us and that's not what I want," Jack said before turning and walking away. "Now for the last time, leave me alone."
"You want to be left alone fine." Pitch said.
"But before we leave you alone you should see who we have with us," Jackie smirked. "Oh, Sombra please, show our little prisoner."
"Of course, my dear." Sombra smirked back before showing Baby Tooth.
"Recognize this little firebug?" Jackie asked.
"Baby Tooth!" Jack gasped in dismay.
"The staff, Jack!" Pitch warned. "You have a bad habit of interfering. Now hand it over, and I'll let her go."
Baby Tooth shook her head, only for Jack to lower his staff and hand it over.
"Excellent choice." Sombra approved.
"Alright," Jack frowned as he gave him, but tried to stay brave. "Now let her go."
Pitch smirked before frowning suddenly. "No," he then firmly told the ice entity. "You said you wanted to be alone. So be alone!"
Baby Tooth glared up at the villains before using her mosquito-like nose against Sombra's hand.
"Ow! Why you little-!" Sombra glared before throwing her at a rock wall.
"Time for you to go some time without your staff." Jackie smirked at Jack.
Pitch soon broke Jack's staff in half, causing Jack to cry out in pain before groaning in pain until being hit by Pitch's Nightmare Sand.
"Oh, my, I almost feel sad for you," Jackie pouted before smirking. "Oh, wait. No, I don't... Some Jack Frost you turned out to be!"
"Who are you anyway?" Jack asked. "Your name is almost like mine... Where did you come from?"
"Just a special world where I deserve my own happily ever after and an old has-been like you isn't gonna ruin it for me~" Jackie smirked confidently and assuringly.
Jack was soon left all on his own and he had become a failure.
"Think, Cherry, think..." Cherry said to herself with her eyes closed as she knelt in a dark voice on her lonesome with her fingers to her temples. "Help out somehow... Help Jack find what he needs to find..." she then glowed briefly before disappearing somewhere else.
"Baby Tooth! You alright?" Jack called softly as he held Baby Tooth and covered her in warmth before she suddenly sneezed. "Sorry, all I can do is keep you cold. Pitch was right... I make a mess of everything."
Baby Tooth then got as comfortable as she could from Jack's warmth.
"Hey... Cherry?" Jack then asked once he saw the perky goth going into an Avatar State.
"Okay, Cherry, in order to help Jack, you must get into Jack's mind," Cherry told herself. "Think back... Back to the past... Like with what happened with Elsa in Arendelle... She locked herself away after one little mistake... Maybe the same happened to Jack... Let's go back... A little further."
