Inspired by the song, 'Better Than Her' by Matisse feat. Akon

"Barry, why the hell did you drag me here?" Iris, his girlfriend, asked as she looked over at the house glowing in the night as a party unfolded. "I told you I hate parties," she whined as she crossed her arms.

He chuckled at her and kissed her cheek, "Lighten up Iris, we need a little fun in our lives. We'll just be here for an hour, humor me please," he begged as he gave her a puppy dog face.

She giggled and rolled her eyes at his childish ways before nodding her head, "Yeah, I guess you're right. What harm can a little party do," she smiled and they entered the house.

As they entered the house, the party was in full swing with club lights flashing in the living room as people danced to the beat of the DJ's music, silly string and streamers hanging off the walls and on the floor, and a crowd hanging by the kitchen with drinks in their hands. For Barry, he was looking for a specific person and frowned when he didn't see her.

Iris tugged on his arm to get his attention, "Let's get something to drink." He nodded his head as they walked over to the kitchen.

"Hey! I thought you weren't coming!" Oliver shouted as he spotted Barry. He walked over to him as they greeted each other with a smile and manly hug. "I'm happy to see you guys,"

"I couldn't blow off the biggest party of the summer!" Barry smiled. "What you got to drink?"

Oliver smirked, "Follow me, I'll show you."

Barry turned to Iris, "Wait here, I'll be right back." She smiled and nodded her head. He followed his friend to some coolers outside that contained beers and sodas. "I see you got the good stuff," he chuckled.

"Oh yeah, it's not a party without the proper drinks," Oliver chuckled. "I wasn't expecting you to bring Iris tonight."

Barry sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah, I felt bad leaving her behind."

Oliver smirked, "But not bad enough to tell her your real reason for being here." He watched as Barry choked on air and laughed. "Dude, I've known you for years. I know you're only here because you heard a rumor that a certain someone was coming tonight."

"Is she here yet?" Barry dared asked.

"Snow?" He asked with arched eyebrows. "Oh yeah, last I saw her she was dancing with Ronnie," he smirked as he took a sip of his beer.

Barry clenched his teeth, "I need to get back to Iris," he growled and walked back into the house. As he found Iris, he realized she was talking with the girl behind his reason for being here. "Hey, wasn't expecting you to be here," he grinned as he walked up to the women.

Caitlin smiled, "It's a party Allen, of course, I would be here. The real question is why are you here?"

He was about to speak when Iris butted in, "He claimed we needed a little fun in our lives," she giggled with an eye roll.

Caitlin laughed along, "Well, he's right!" she looked at him, "Come on, dance with me," she asked him then turned to Iris. "Mind if I steal him for a bit?"

Barry held his breath, as excitement and fear filled his body as he waited for Iris' reply. She nodded at them both but, Caitlin's attention shifted when her name was called by Hunter. "Yo Snow! We need you over here!"

She gave him an apologetic smile, "Sorry, I owe you a dance," and she walked towards a group of guys. Barry watched Hunter smile at her as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Jealously filled his face.

"Barry, you okay?" Iris asked as she saw his features change. He mumbled under his breath and looked to where he was looking. "She's a big girl, Barr. I'm pretty sure she can take care of herself. Can we dance?"

He turned his attention back to his girlfriend and tried to relax his features. "Yeah, sorry I don't know what came over me." He pecked her lips and pulled towards the living room. "Let's dance."

As the couple danced, Barry continued to look over Iris' shoulder to watch Caitlin's interaction with the group of guys. He got worried as she noticed the group taking shots. He wanted to stop her and take her away. He smiled at Iris then looked back to see Caitlin looking at him with an arched eyebrow and a smirk. He immediately looked away with a blush and a crooked smile as he realized his staring finally got him caught.

Iris scrunched her eyebrows at Barry's sudden reaction and looked over to see Caitlin in the distance taking shots with some guys. She looked back at her boyfriend and rolled her eyes. "I don't want to dance anymore," she snapped and walked away.

Barry looked at her and followed behind. "Hey," he gently grabbed her arm, "are you okay?"

"No, I'm tired can we go?" she snapped.

"But we just got here. We haven't even been here for 30 minutes; you promised me an hour." Barry pushed, not wanting to leave Caitlin alone with those guys around her.

Iris sighed, "Why are we really here Barry?"

He snapped his head back, taken aback from her question, "I told you to have -" At that moment cheers came from the kitchen and he watched as Julian helped Caitlin onto the table as they danced along to the music. His teeth clenched and his hands turned into fists, "You've got to be kidding me."

Iris looked over to where his attention was averted and shook her head. "I knew it. I fucking knew it," she breathed under her breath and started to walk away.

Barry's attention snapped back to Iris as he called out to her, "Wait, babe, I'm sorry! I heard the commotion and got worried."

She turned on her heel to face him, "Worried about what? I'm your girlfriend. You should be worried about me," she snapped.

Just then another loud cheer came from the kitchen and Barry bit his lip, needing to look over his shoulder to see if Caitlin was okay or if those guys were still all over her. He made a slight motion that he was about to when Iris snapped at him.

"Barry, I swear, if you look over at her again, I'm leaving," Iris huffed in anger, "And this," she gestured at them, "will be over, for good."

He watched as she crossed her arms and he bit his lip. His mind and heart battling as he chooses between the two women. He looked at Iris and searched her eyes for an answer but didn't find what he wanted. He let out a slight sigh and looked over his shoulder for Caitlin and watched her smiling while talking with Felicity - away from the guys. A smile formed on his face as he watched her.

Iris rolls her eyes and shook her head as she murmured under her breath, "Unbelievable." She turned on her heel to head out but felt someone grab her arm. "Let go of me Barry," she growled.

"Listen, I didn't mean to hurt you," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "It's just..." But before he could continue Iris interrupted him.

"Please, don't," she breathed. "I see the way you look at her," she looked away from him and bit her lip before looking back at him. "You never looked at me that way. I can't compete with that," she sighed, "Goodbye Barry."

With that, he watched as she walked out the front door and out of his life. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and let out a heavy sigh. Barry contemplated walking over to Caitlin but, he felt it was too soon to jump into a new relationship. Before he could move, he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. He looked over and slightly smiled at the beauty before him. Hey, he mouthed, "What's up?"

She smiled up at him then gestured to the door, "Are you okay?"

He scratched the back of his neck, "Will be." He watched as confusion filled her face and chuckled, "We figured it was best to see other people," Caitlin frowned and began to open her mouth to speak but, he further explained himself. "We figured it wouldn't be fair when it's clear I've fallen for someone else," he looked lovingly at her as he grabbed her hand. "I think you owe me a dance."

Caitlin blushed, biting her lip, and nodded at him. He pulled her towards the crowd of people dancing and placed his arms around her waist. She placed her arms around his neck and played with his hair while looking into his eyes. "If I didn't know better, I would say you've fallen for me Mr. Allen," she teased with a smirk.

He smirked back and pulled her closer to him, a gasp escaped her mouth. "What can I say, you have me wrapped around your finger Ms. Snow," he said as he placed his forehead on hers, looking into her eyes lovingly. "I couldn't keep my eyes off you all night," he whispered.

She bit her lip as she got lost in his eyes - the world around them disappeared. She placed a hand on his cheek, her thumb grazing his jawline. "I noticed," she breathed. "I just needed to see if you would make a move or let me slip through your fingers."

"I was lost," he started as he tightened his grip on her, "but, when I saw you with those guys all over you, I got so angry I forgot about Iris. I knew then you were better for me." Caitlin blushed and tried to bury her head into his shoulder but, he placed his hands on her face, making her look at him. "You are mine now, Snow," he smirked before colliding their lips.

Both fought for dominance as the passion and lust grew between them. When the need for air finally came, Caitlin gently pulled away and placed her forehead on his. Her lips felt numb as the passion kept flooding her system - she wanted more. She licked her bottom lip and raised her eyebrows, "What now Allen?"

"Now," he breathed, "I take you home and make you mine forever. What do you say?" he asked before dipping his head as he kissed her neck.

She smirked at his forwardness and pulled away from his grip. His face filled with sadness at the loss of her touch. She grabbed his hand and lead them to the door. Once outside, she turned on her heels to face him and pulled him into a deep kiss. As she felt his tongue against her bottom lip, asking for entry, she pulled away with a smirk. Barry opened his mouth as confusion filled his face, but Caitlin bet him to it.

"Let's go home, together."
