Lead the Way: A Star Wars/She-Ra Story
Chapter 1: Sam Skywalker
We begin our story on the desolate planet of Tatooine.
A young boy asked, "where am I?"
This boy's name is Sam Skywalker, twin brother to Anakin Skywalker and son of Shimi Skywalker, and he was lost.
He had wandered too far from where his mother and their family had lived. He had no clue as to where he was.
Sam hugged himself as he kept trying to find a way back home and to make it worse, it was night time. The desert felt like an icy tundra at night!
Then he heard something.
Sam asked, feeling a bit scared, "who's there?"
And then he heard it. The bone chilling sound of several Tusken Raiders, riding atop Bantha's!
He turned to see the sand people jumping from their steeds, in order to attack the small child!
Sam turned to run, but he tripped.
Sam hugged himself as he started to cry.
Then he heard the familiar sound of Lightsabers activating.
He opened his eyes to see the vibrant slashing of two blades that looked to be made of light itself, hacking at the raiders as they tried to fight back, but we're only turned to dust before their very eyes!
Sam opened his eyes to see…. Antauri!
Antauri is a male togruta with red orange skin and very long Lekku, though this was not his true form.
He is an ancient being of the force, disguised in a mortal form to protect this child, for he had a large amount of untapped power within him.
The togruta leaned down to look at the boy, inspecting him for injuries.
Antauri asked, "are you okay, my child?"
Sam nodded his head.
Antauri has been like a father to Sam, but neither his mother or twin brother knew about Antauri.
Sam nodded as Antauri said, "I am glad. Now, we must get you home. I imagine your mother and brother are very worried about you."
Antauri helped Sam up and the two were about to walk forward, when Antauri stopped.
Sam asked, "what's wrong, Antauri?"
Antauri only closed his eyes and he felt something in the force, nothing of the dark side.
It was something. Something he could not understand, nor could tell if it was of the dark side, or the light side. All he knew was that the balance of the force was on the brink of shifting. To which side, he feared which.
Antauri then felt something of the light side coming their way.
Sam asked, "Antauri?"
Antauri opened his eyes, and felt as if he knew that the balance would shift in the right direction, one day.
Antauri knelt down.
"Listen Sam, someone is coming, but I promise you, you can trust her", Antauri said.
Sam asked, "who is it?"
"You'll find out", Antauri said as he disappeared.
Sam, "Antauri?"
"Hello, young one."
Sam turned around to the source of the voice.
Standing there was a female Togruta, with red skin and long white and blue leeku, garbed in brown robes, and a lightsaber at her hip.
This was Jedi Master Shaak Ti.
Sam asked, "who are you?"
"My name is Shaak Ti", Shaak Ti said, "what's your name, little one?"
Sam said, "S-Sam Skywalker. Are…. Are you a Jedi?"
Shaak Ti nodded and said, "yes, as a matter of fact, I am. And I can sense, you are strong in the force, young Skywalker."
Sam asked, "what does it mean?"
"That you are to be trained in the ways of the force", Shaak Ti said.
Sam, "train me to be…. A Jedi?"
Shaak Ti smiled and said, "indeed. To protect the galaxy from those who wish to do it harm. But... you would have to leave home..."
Sam asked, "what about my mother and my brother?"
Shaak Ti did not respond.
"They should at least know that I am leaving", Sam said.
Shaak Ti replied, "very well. You may see them one last time before you begin your training."
Sam nods his head and the two begin to make their way to the Skywalker home.
….
As soon as Sam was in his house,his mother engulfed him in a huge hug.
"Mom…. Can't breathe", Sam said as he hugged his mother back.
Shmi Skywalker, Sam's mother, said, "oh, I'm so sorry sweety. I was just worried about you."
That's when she saw Shaak Ti standing in the doorway.
"Sam", Anakin ran to hug his twin brother.
Sam hugged him back.
Anakin then saw Shaak ti.
Anakin asked, "who is that?"
Shaak Ti then walked forward
She said, "I am Shaak Ti. I am a Jedi Master."
Anakin was in awe. He had grown up hearing so many stories about the Jedi!
"A pleasure to meet you, Master Ti", Shimi said.
Shaak Ti smiled and bowed.
"I've always wanted to meet a Jedi", Anakin said.
Shmi noticed Sam held a conflicted look.
Shmi asked, "Sam what is it?"
Sam said, "Master Ti has offered to train me as a Jedi."
Shmi and Anakin were both surprised by this news.
"But it means I have to leave home", Sam said.
Shmi, "what do you mean by that?"
"Sam must be taken to the Jedi temple on Coruscant, so he can learn to master his abilities", Shaak ti said.
Shmi asked, "does he have any choice in the matter?"
Shaak Ti replied, "of course. It is his choice to go or not. I shall give you some time to discuss this together."
Shaak ti walked out of the room.
Shmi asked, "sweetie, are you sure you want to go?"
"But mom, if he leaves, we might never see him again", Anakin said.
Sam was in deep thought,he was excited at the thought of becoming a Jedi, but he was sad at leaving his family behind.
Just then, Sam heard Antauri speak to him in his mind.
'One day you will see them again, my child.'
"I am going with Master Ti", Sam said.
Anakin and Shmi both looked at Sam as he said, "it's like there's something telling me to go. But if I do, I promise, I will see you both again. And I don't intend to break that promise."
Shmi hugged Sam with a few tears in her eyes.
Sam felt tears in his eyes as well.
"May you become a great Jedi, my son", Shimi said.
Sam was then hugged by his twin brother.
Anakin said, "I promise, I'll become a Jedi. Just like you."
Sam smiled and said, "I'm sure you will Ani. I'm sure you will."
Shmi then said, "go get your things. We'll inform Master Ti of your choice."
Sam nodded as he went into his room he shared with his brother. On the wall was the remains of a protocol droid.
Sam smiled and said, "I bet he'll finish you soon, Threepio."
Sam packed his things, including his own droid he had built. A small one that looked very similar to an ancient creature from before the Republic, known only as…. A monkey.
"Can't forget you Hamill", Sam said.
Hamill let out a few sounds as he hopped onto Sam's shoulders.
Hamill was black and white, and had olive green eyes.
Sam said, "I think that's everything, right?"
The little droid nodded as Sam put the pack onto his back and walked out to see Shaak Ti standing there.
She said, "are you ready to leave?"
Sam nodded.
Sam turned to look at his mother and twin one last time.
"May the Force be with you", Shaak Ti said.
Then both Shaak ti and Sam walked out of the house.
About half a parsec later, Shaak Ti had taken the new student to her shuttle in Mos Espa. Standing by it was an Astromech droid that beeped at her.
She said, "yes R3, I was able to find the boy with the great connection to the Force. Looks like Master Windu owes us an apology for coming out here."
Sam thought, 'could they have sensed Antauri?'
Hamill beeped as he ran around the Astromech.
"Your droid is very interesting, Sam", Shaak Ti said as they all board the shuttle.
Sam replied, "I found him years ago underneath our home. His memory banks seem to indicate that he might be as old as the Republic itself."
Shaak Ti said, "very interesting. That must be why I have never seen a droid like that."
Hamill beeped as he jumped on Sam's shoulders.
"He really is close to me", Sam said.
Shaak Ti smiled.
"Let's prepare to take off, and then jump into hyperspace", Shaak ti said.
Sam was strapped into a seat behind Shaak Ti as she powered up the shuttle and began to take off. Sam felt the ship rushing through the air as Hammil clung to him, and once they had made it into the dark vacuum of space, saw the stars before them stretch into blue light as they entered hyperspace.
Soon the ship had jumped out of Hyperspace, allowing Sam to see a planet that looked like one giant city.
He asked, "is that...?"
"Coruscant, Yes", Shaak Ti said.
The shuttle then entered the planet's atmosphere.
Sam was amazed to see all the tall buildings and ships passing by.
"Prepare to dock, R3", Shaak ti said.
The Astromech beeped a reply as he helped the ship land on a docking platform. Soon, the small group left the ship, and stood before several other Jedi.
They consisted of a bald man with dark skin, an older man with a rather large head, a woman with blue skin and head tails, a small green one with pointy ears, and a middle age bearded man with his padawan by his side.
In order, they were named Mace Windu, Ki Adi Mundi, Aayla Secura, Grand Master Yoda, Qui Gon Jinn, and Obi Wan Kenobi.
Made asked, "Shaak Ti did you find what you were looking for?"
"No, but I did find someone", Shaak ti said.
"Hello…. My name is Sam Skywalker", Sam said as he bowed.
"He is very strong in the force", Ki Adi Mundi said.
Yoda then approached Sam.
Yoda closed his eyes and said, "hmm, a strong connection to the force, I sense in you."
Shaak Ti, "I found him in the desert on Tatooine. After taking him to wish his family goodbye, we came here, so he may find a master to train him in our ways."
Qui Gon asked, "was there anyone else strong in the force?"
Shaak Ti replied, "his brother seemed to have a connection. But it was…. Clouded. As if I could not see his connection yet."
"Hmm, interesting this is", Yoda said.
Aayla asked, "what is it master Yoda?"
"Found a Jedi Master, that will train young Skywalker, I have", Yoda said.
Obi Wan asked, "who, master?"
Yoda turned to look at Shaak ti.
Yoda smiled and said, "hmhmhm, you, Master Ti."
Shaak Ti gave a shocked look as she said, "me?"
Yoda continued with, "see it, I do. Under your tutelage, he shall be."
Shaak Ti then turned to look at Sam, before turning to look at Yoda.
"It would be my honor, grand master, I shall take Sam as my padawan", Shaak ti said as she bowed.
"Thank you, master Yoda", Sam said as he bowed.
"Let's get you inside", Shaak ti said.
Sam nodded as they began following the Jedi into the building.
Said building was the Senate, where the representatives of every planet would come to speak about political issues.
Sam asked, "what is this place?"
"The Senate building", Shaak ti said.
Qui Gon explained, "this is where the senators from every planet in the Republic discuss politics."
Obi Wan added, "they are currently talking about the tensions between the Trade Federation and Naboo."
Sam asked, "Naboo?"
"It's a beautiful planet", Aayla Secura said.
The Jedi then stopped in front of a door.
It opened to reveal several senators there to greet them.
"Welcome", said the senator of Naboo, Palpatine.
Sam got an uneasy feeling from him.
"We're glad you could make it", said Oola, the senator of Ryloth
"Sorry for the delay", Mace Windu said.
The senator of Alderann, Organa, said, "it is quite alright. We're sure you Jedi have a lot of business to take care of."
Qui Gon chuckled and said, "I believe it's the politicians who have a lot of business."
Palpatine asked, "who is this youngling?"
Sam backed away from him and hid behind Shaak Ti.
"It's okay Sam, that's Palpatine, he's the senator of Naboo", Shaak ti said.
Sam still refused to come out.
'Sam, you cannot trust Palpatine', Antauri said.
A few of the Jedi chuckled.
Mace then said, "I guess he already has a distaste for politics."
Qui Gon added, "much like young Obi Wan. He would often butt heads with his friend on Mandalore, Satine, for her views on violence."
"Hey", Obi Wan said with a blush on his face.
"It's okay little one, there is no need to be afraid", Palpatine said.
Sam kept feeling something bad about Palpatine and he felt as if he couldn't breathe.
"No", Sam cried as he ran out of the room.
"Sam, wait", Shaak Ti said.
She chased after Sam as he ran.
Palpatine had an unreadable look on his face as Oola said, "oh my, he must be very shy around new people."
Yoda gave a thoughtful look as he said, "perhaps. Another reason, there could be."
Sam ran until he hid inside an empty room.
"He went that way", Sam heard Shaak Ti as she ran past the room.
"Are you okay, Sam?"
Sam turned to see Antauri.
Sam nodded and said, "I felt something from that man. Something... dark."
Antauri replied, "hmm... I cannot say for certain, but I would not trust him. Try to feign a feeling of calm around him. But be cautious of what his plans may be."
Sam asked, "is he dangerous?"
"Just be careful, I fear there might be more to Palpatine than we know", Antauri said.
"Okay, but I still feel scared", Sam said.
"Don't worry, I will always be there to look after you Sam", Antauri said as he knelt down to Sam's height.
Sam closed his eyes and nodded before opening them to reveal Antauri was gone.
He heard the door open, and saw Shaak Ti standing there as she said, "oh, There you are. Don't run off like that!"
"Sorry, Master", Sam said.
"It's okay, just don't do that again", Shaak Ti said.
Sam asked, "can we go now?"
"Of course. Let's get you to the Temple", she then pressed a button on her wrist, "I found Sam, but I am taking him back to the temple", Shaak Ti said to the com on her wrist.
She heard Mace Windu answer, "good. I suggest you take him to where the younger students are. Master Plo has recently found a young Togruta child to start her training."
"Come on Sam", Shaak Ti said.
Hamill then ran up to Sam.
"Hamill", Sam said.
"He went crazy everytime Palpatine went near him", Shaak Ti said.
Sam remembered what Antauri said and replied, "er, well, I'm sure he's just cautious around certain people, is all."
It took them a while, but they finally made it to the Jedi Temple.
Sam asked, "this is the Jedi Temple?"
"Yes", Shaak Ti said.
"It's so Huge", Sam said.
Hammil snickered at that, much to Sam's confusion.
Shaak Ti smiled as the two walked inside.
Sam was amazed by the large halls of the temple, and as they walk through it, he sees statues of Jedi Master's of the past. When they reached a rather large hall, they saw a statue of a Jedi with a metal mask and white robes.
Sam asked, "Master, who's that?"
Shaak Ti replied, "that, Sam, is Revan. A Jedi who turned to the dark side, but turned away and saved the galaxy from his former allies. He also saved Jedi Master Bastila from turning to the dark side. He serves as a great example of a Jedi who returned to the side of good."
Soon the two approached a moderately sized bedroom that was lined up with several other rooms.
"Here we are", Shaak Ti said.
Sam asked, "this is where I'll be sleeping?"
Shaak Ti replied, "indeed. And tomorrow, you will be meeting your fellow Padawans."
Sam seemed excited as he walked into his new room, with Hammil already curling up on the bed.
Antauri then appeared.
"Antauri", Sam said.
Antauri asked, "what do you think Sam?"
Sam asked, "about what?"
Antauri clarified, "about the Jedi?"
Sam replied, "they seem to really want to help others. And I can only hope I'll be a great Jedi myself."
Antauri smiled and said, "I'm sure you will. For now, I suggest you get some rest. You'll have a busy day tomorrow."
Sam nodded as he curled up in his bed with Hammil, and soon drifted off as Antauri disappeared….

Another one of my requested stories.
I am co-writing this with SuperSentai199, who was the person to come up with this idea of crossing the universe of Star Wars and She-Ra.
So, here's a few differences to explain.
In this story, Anakin and Shmi only became slaves after Sam was taken to train as a Jedi.
Hamill's appearance and name are based off of Antauri from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go, (and we gave that characters name to the Antauri of this story), and named after Luke Skywalker himself; Mark Hamill.
Many more Jedi will survive Order 66 in this story.
Sam is identical to Anakin, but with short hair and lighter robes.
Oola, The Twi-lek girl in Return of the Jedi who gets eaten by the Rancor, is the senator for Ryloth, and does much better with running her planet.
