Chapter 3: Reunion
It was several years later, where Sam was nearly old enough to go on missions with his Master to keep the peace.
And he has heard major news. Obi Wan had been made a Jedi Knight after Master Qui Gon's death, and he now had an apprentice! Sam, Leon and Ahsoka were currently off to meet this new padawan learner.
"I feel so sad for Obi Wan", Leon said.
"Agreed. I can't believe Master Qui Gon is dead", Ahsoka said.
Sam added, "he was a very friendly face during my training. Always telling me to trust in my feelings."
Ahsoka said, "Master Dooku seemed quite saddened by the death of his old padawan."
Leon asked, "who do you think his new apprentice is?"
The other two shrugged.
"Hey, I see Obi Wan", Ahsoka said.
The 3 turned to see Obi wan in the distance.
Obi Wan was leaning down in front of a young boy.
One who looked exactly like Sam!
Ahsoka asked, "who is that?"
"He looks like you Sam", Leon said.
Sam muttered, "no way... Anakin?!"
The three kids raced forward to see just who this new kid was.
Anakin turned around to see his twin!
Anakin shouted, "Sam!?"
The two brothers ran at each other and they hugged each other tight.
Sam exclaimed, "I'm so happy to see you!"
Anakin smiled and said, "same here. It's been years! We're both gonna be Jedi!"
Ahsoka asked, "Sam, who is this?"
"This is my twin brother Anakin", Sam said.
"Twin!?", Leon and Ahsoka shouted.
Sam and Anakin stood side by side and had the same smile. Other than their clothes and hair, Leon and Ahsoka couldn't tell the difference between the brothers.
Leon , "how are we going to know who is who?"
Ahsoka asked, "Leon's right, it will be hard to know which one is Sam and which one is Anakin?"
Sam replied, "well, I wear white robes, Anakin wears darker robes. I guess that'll be a way to tell us apart?"
"Yeah, that could work", Leon said.
"Let's not forget Sam has two lightsabers as well", Ahsoka said.
Anakin asked, "you have two lightsabers, Sam?"
Sam smiled as he pointed to the lightsabers on his hips.
Sam said, "something I'm quite proud of."
Anakin asked, "I thought Jedi only get one lightsaber?"
"There are Jedi who can have two lightsabers", Obi Wan said.
"When I went to Illum, I got two crystals for my lightsabers", Sam said
Anakin replied, "sweet!"
Obi Wan said, "alright, that's enough. I believe Anakin needs to learn the Jedi code, like all of you did when you first began training."
"Wait, I want to ask my brother something in private", Sam said.
Anakin turned to look at Obi Wan who nodded his head and smiled.
Anakin then follows Sam to an empty room.
Anakin asked, "what is it?"
Sam asked, "how is mom?"
Anakin had a sad look on his face.
Anakin, "she's still back on Tatooine. I won my freedom in a podrace, but I had to leave mom behind. I had Threepio promise to look after her. I really miss her though."
Sam hugged his brother and said, "I'm sure mom would be proud of you. And hey, I'm sure you made friends."
Anakin smiled and said, "yeah. A droid named Artoo, Obi Wan, and a girl named Padme."
Sam asked, "Padme?"
"She is the queen of Naboo", Anakin said.
The look Anakin had over talking about her was a look Sam recognized. Leon would sometimes wear this look when he and Ahsoka would be talking to one another.
"Anakin, come on", Obi Wan shouted.
"I have to go", Anakin said.
"You're going to like it here brother", Sam said.
Anakin smiled as he walked off with Obi Wan. Sam looked over and saw Antauri looking upon a mural on the temple wall. Like before, none of the toehr Jedi who passed him by paid any mind to him.
Saw looked at his friends and said, "I'll meet you guys in the library for our studies."
The nodded and walked off, leaving Sam to go over to Antauri.
"Hi Antauri", Sam said.
"Hello, Sam. I guess you've already met up with your brother", Antauri said.
Sam asked, "you knew he was coming?"
Antauri nodded and said, "indeed. The boy has a future filled with many twists and turns. And part of it involves the code of the Jedi."
Sam asked, "what exactly do you mean? What's wrong with the code?"
"The Jedi code has changed over the years, but not for good reasons", Antauri said.
Sam asked, "you're saying the Jedi code isn't what it should be?"
Antauri nodded and said, "the Jedi think that having attachments, or relationships, will lead to the dark side. In reality, dousing our emotions is what leads to many Jedi to lash out when they feel what they are not allowed to. If the Jedi are to survive, the code will need to change."
Sam asked, "when will it need to change?"
Antauri was silent for a moment before saying, "I can only say this…. When the time is right, you will know. For now, I shall tell you this. If you feel something for another, follow your heart…."
Sam asked, "like Love?"
Antauri nodded his head.
"Sam!"
"Well, Master Ti is calling me", Sam said.
Antauri nodded as he said, "remember my words Sam. When you find love, hold onto it…."
Antauri walked behind a nearby pillar, disappearing.
Hamill then ran up to Sam.
"Hey, Hamill", Sam said.
Hamill jumped onto Sam and let out a few sounds.
Sam said, "you played a prank on some Jedi didn't you?"
The little monkey droid gave a metallic whimper as Sam rolled his eyes.
"I'll deal with you later, we have to meet up with Master Ti", Sam said.
Hamill let out what appeared to be a sigh as Sam made his way towards his Master….
….
Several years later
Sam was now 16 years old, and was currently circling Antauri, both of them with their lightsabers out.
Sam leaped forward with his two lightsabers in hand.
Antauri easily dodged the attack and drove one of his lightsabers forward.
Sam blocked the strike with his two lightsabers, feeling the heat from it!
Antauri sighed as he deactivated his lightsabers.
Sam asked, "what is it?"
Antauri replied, "your combat training needs work."
Sam asked, "what do you mean?"
Antauri continued with, "if you rely solely on your lightsabers, you will be at a disadvantage if you lose them. You also need to use one lightsaber in combat,and not rely too much on using your two lightsabers."
"But this is how I fight in combat, I like using my two lightsabers", Sam said as he held one of the lightsabers in a reverse grip.
Antauri walked forward.
"Let me see them", Antauri said.
Sam handed Antauri his lightsabers, and he was inspecting them.
Antauri then threw them into the courtyard!
Sam, "what the-!?"
Antauri, "if you want to be an effective peacekeeper, you need to learn to fight without your lightsabers. In any fight, there can be numerous handicaps."
"But how can I!? I don't have my lightsabers", Sam said.
Antauri then activated one of his lightsabers and walked forward.
Sam asked, "what are you doing?"
"Teaching you", Antauri said.
"Master Ti never taught me anything like this", Sam said.
Antauri replied, "then you best start learning!"
Sam jumped out of the way as he tried to slash him. Sam eyed his lightsabers and made a mad dash for them.
Antauri yelled, "oh no you don't!" He tossed his lightsaber at Sam, who flipped into the air above it as it flew under him. When he landed, the lightsaber flew right back back at him. He quickly ducked onto the ground as the lightsaber flew above him.
Sam shouted, "I don't have any way to defend myself!"
"You do Sam, just focus", Antauri said.
Sam quickly saw a metal staff and used the force to pull it towards him.
Sam quickly blocked an attack from Antauri.
Sam used the force to lift a few rocks towards Antauri.
The rocks raced at Antauri as he simply sliced all of them into pieces, as Sam started dashing towards him with the metal staff, keeping his eyes on the lightsaber as it sliced the rocks.
The metal staff collided with one of Antauri's lightsabers.
Sam hit Antauri's face with his elbow and quickly used the metal staff to strike Antauri's left hand, making him drop his lightsaber.
Antauri looked impressed.
"Very good Sam", Antauri said before he ran towards Sam.
He kicked the metal staff out of Sam's hands and began throwing punches at him.
Sam started to block the punches, while doing a backflip and landed a kick on Antauri's stomach.
Antauri grunted a bit in pain.
Antauri smiled as he used the force to throw rocks at Sam.
Sam thrust his hand forward and stopped all of the rocks in midair as he called his metal staff back into his hand.
Sam then used the force to pull one of his lightsabers towards him.
Sam then sliced all the rocks as he charged at Antauri.
Antauri jumped over Sam, and kicked the metal staff out of his hand.
Sam used his lightsaber to defend himself against Antauri's attacks.
Sam was slowly gaining the upper hand as his lightsaber slashed against Antauri's, bright flashes sparking between the blades!
Antauri quickly summoned his other lightsaber to him.
Sam jumped backwards as he ran towards his other lightsaber.
Antauri raced forward, his two sabers in hand.
Sam blocked the attack with his two sabers just in time.
Antauri smiled as he deactivated his lightsabers.
Antauri asked, "do you understand the lesson I was teaching you Sam?"
Sam looked down for a moment before deactivating his own weapons and said, "I think I do. I had to fight without my weapons. Like a good warrior should be able to."
"Right, you also need to learn not to rely too much on your two lightsabers, cause you can forget to fight with just one Lightsaber", Antauri said.
"You're right, I have been relying too much on my two lightsabers", Sam said.
"Remember Sam, that can become your weakness, if you don't continue training", Antauri said.
Hamill then ran up towards Sam.
Sam asked, "what is it, Hamill?"
Hamill let out a few sounds.
Sam , "Master Ti wants to speak with me?"
Hamill nodded as he jumped atop Sam's shoulders. Sam turned to see Antauri was gone. So he shrugged and went off to where Shaak Ti was. She was in the library, speaking with Master Fisto for a moment.
"Master Ti", Sam said as he bowed down to his master.
"Padawan Skywalker", Shaak Ti.
"Hamill says you wanted to see me", Sam said.
"Indeed my Padawan, as I have wonderful news for you", Shaak Ti said.
Sam asked, "what news?
Shaak Ti replied, "the council has been discussing this for some time. And they have decided, due to your amazing skills in the force, as well as with a lightsaber, you shall be made…. A Jedi Knight."
Sam's mouth was hanging.
Sam asked, "me!? A Jedi Knight!?"
Shaak Ti smiled.
"This is amazing! Thank you master", Sam said as he bowed.
"This is the will of the force. We Will no longer be master and student. We will be, equals", Shaak Ti said.
"But I thought I would become a Jedi Knight when I was much older, I just turned 16", Sam said.
Shaak Ti replied, "you may be young, but your skills are far advanced for your age. You are worthy to become a knight. In two hours, report to the council chambers for the ceremony."
Sam bowed at his master before he walked out the library.
Hamill beeped as he walked alongside his master.
"I know right, I have to tell my friends", Sam said.
Soon Sam found Ahsoka and Leon and told them of what was happening.
The two said, "really?!"
"Yep, in two hours I'll become a Jedi Knight", Sam said.
Ahsoka said, "that's such a rare honor for someone your age."
Leon added, "she's right. This is amazing!"
"I want to get a Master already, you two are always ahead of me", Ahsoka said.
"Awww, don't be upset Soka, you'll find your master one day", Leon said.
Ahsoka gave a smile and blush at her friends words.
"Leon."
Leon turned to see his master, Dooku, walking towards him.
"Master", Leon said as he bowed.
"Come, it's time for your training", Dooku said.
"Yes Master", Leon said.
Dooku then turned to look at Sam and he smiled.
He said, "congratulations young Skywalker. Master Ti has taught you well."
Dooku and Leon walked away as Sam left to wait for the ceremony.
Soon, two hours passed, and Sam stood right outside of the Jedi council chambers.
"Hi."
Sam turned to see his brother Anakin.
"Anakin", Sam said.
"I just heard you're becoming a Jedi Knight", Anakin said with a sad look.
Sam asked, "what's wrong Anakin?"
Anakin sighed.
"I feel a little…. Jealous", Anakin said.
Sam replied, "jealous? Anakin, we're both strong in different ways. You're certainly a much better pilot than I am. You picked up on the force faster than me. I'm sure you'll be made a Jedi Knight soon."
Anakin smiled a bit.
"I know I shouldn't feel jealous…. But I just can't believe you're already becoming a Jedi Knight at a very young age", Anakin said.
Sam placed his hands on Anakin's shoulders.
"Anakin, everyone is special in their own way, like I said you are more skilled in the force than I am", Sam said.
"You're right, but I am happy for you little brother", Anakin said.
Sam said, "thank you. And who knows, maybe you'll get a padawan before I do!"
Anakin chuckled as he said, "that'll be the day."
Sam asked, "still don't want to have a padawan, brother?"
"A padawan will just slow me down", Anakin said.
The doors to the council chambers then opened.
"Sam Skywalker", Mace Windu said.
Sam walked forward into the darkness as Anakin stood by the other Jedi. All of their lightsabers ignited as Sam stood before Master Yoda.
Yoda said, "kneel forward, young Skywalker."
Sam knelt down as Yoda knighted him.
Yoda, "by the right of the council. By the will of the force. Dub the I do", he sliced off Sam's padawan braid, "Jedi. Knight of the republic."
"Rise Sam Skywalker, Jedi Knight", Shaak Ti said.
Sam stood up as he smiled and he then bowed.
"Thank you, Jedi masters", Sam said.
"You have shown such great strength and skill in the force", Ki Adi Mundi said.
"You also have shown great combat skill with your lightsabers", Plo Koon said.
"And you are much more disciplined than your brother", Mace Windu said.
Anakin gave an angry look as Sam said, "you do not give my brother enough credit. He offers great skill in combat, as well as his flight capabilities. Of which I lack."
"I agree with Sam, we just need to give Anakin more time", Shaak Ti said.
Anakin smiled a bit at Shaak Ti.
"Thank you, Master Ti", Sam said.
"You're welcome. You may go now", Shaak Ti said.
The two brothers left the room.
"I'm sorry for what Master Windu said about you, Anakin", Sam said.
Anakin said, "eh, it's alright. I'm quite used to their criticism. They say I'm destined to bring balance, but they find much to criticise me about."
Sam replied, "give it time. They'll acknowledge your skill one day."
Anakin smiled at his brother as the two walked off.
Later, Sam was in his room speaking to Antauri.
Antauri's back was facing Sam.
"I can't believe I am a Jedi Knight already, Antauri", Sam said.
Antauri didn't respond.
Sam asked, "Antauri did you hear me?"
Antauri was in a daze as he had a vision…. Of Etheria and the future of Sam.
In his vision he saw...
Sam crashing onto the planet. Being held captive in a dark green fortress of some kind.
Sam faces off numerous dangerous foes side by side with several other people.
Then he saw Sam speaking with a blue woman inside a Jedi Temple.
Sam inside the fortress but no longer a captive.
Beside him was the white man with blue hair and red eyes.
He was smiling at Sam.
The smile was that of a significant other. A lover.
It paints a clear picture of Sam's future.
Sam's yell of, "hey", snaps Antauri out of his daze.
Sam asked, "were you listening to me at all?"
"I'm sorry, I just had a vision Sam", Antauri said.
Sam asked, "another Vision?"
Antauri nodded and said, "you wouldn't believe me if I told you about what I saw. Sorry."
"It's okay." Sam said.
Antauri, "now you said something about becoming a Jedi Knight?"

So, a little difference from canon is that Ahsoka is closer to the same age as Anakin and Sam. He's still gonna be her master, but still.
