Chapter 5: The Clone Wars

The Clone wars continued to rage on as Sam, Leon, and their allies went on many different missions.

And we see one such mission right now.

The factory on Geonosis had just exploded.

After the dust was cleared, there was Sam, Leon, Anakin and Luminara Unduli stood there among the debris.

"Ahsoka", Leon shouted as he tried to run towards the debris, but Sam held him back.

"Ahsoka! Can you hear me? Come in", Anakin shouted into his comlink.

Luminara then knelt down.

"Master Luminara, don't worry", Sam said.

"Be at ease, Skywalker", Luminara said.

"At ease? We need to act now!Ahsoka and Barriss may still be alive down there", Leon said.

"There's not enough time. I sense them drifting away", Luminara said.

Sam upon hearing this, snapped. He had enough of Luminara's cold attitude, she wasn't acting like a true Jedi should be.

Sam yelled, "how the Hell are we supposed to be keepers of the peace if we don't show any compassion or worry!"

Luminara replied, "the way of the Jedi is to let go of our emotions and attachments."

Leon remembered the words Antauri had said to him.

Sam said, "maybe it's dousing our emotions that leads to many Jedi to lash out when they feel what they are not allowed to."

Luminara asked, "are you defying the Jedi?"

Sam said, "no. I'm proud to be a Jedi. But I'm merely acknowledging that letting go of everything is not always the right thing to do. We are keepers of the peace, so logically, we should show some form of compassion or emotion to the people we protect."

"I agree with my brother, we must not give up", Anakin said.

"They're right, Ahsoka and Barriss must still be alive", Leon said.

"Commander!"

Sam turned to see Bac, the 402nd's medic running to him.

Sam asked, "what is it, Bac?"

"We found them", Bac said.

Upon hearing this Leon ran straight towards the debris.

As soon as Leon saw Ahsoka, safe and sound, he wrapped her up in a hug.

She was surprised for a moment as she heard him say, "I thought I lost you, Soka."

"I knew they were still alive", Sam said.

"I told you we shouldn't give up on them." Anakin said.

"It's not that I gave up, Skywalker, but unlike you, when the time comes, I am prepared to let my student go", Luminara said.

"Always have to come up with a way to defend yourself huh Luminara", Sam said.

"It is the way of the Jedi", Luminara said.

"But you could have at least tried to search for Barriss, like Anakin and Leon did with Ahsoka", Sam said.

Luminara did not respond.

"One day, your cold attitude will make you cause more mistakes, Luminara", Sam said with a glare.

….

It was a few hours later, where Leon, Ahsoka and Barris were in a rather bad situation. Some strange brain parasite from Geonosis had infected fhe crew, even infecting Leon and Barris, as Ahsoka was currently on the run from her friends as the ship got colder and colder in order to stop the parasites.

Sam and Quarrie were in their own ship, trying to help guide Ahsoka.

Sam had left a moment ago to check on the fuel of the ship.

Sam returned, but had a dark look on his face.

Quarrie asked, "Sam?"

Sam then jumped towards them with his lightsaber ignited!

"Get back here", Sam hissed.

"Sam no this isn't you", Quarrie shouted as he ran to hide, wirh Hamill close behind.

Then Quarrie's comlink went off.

Quarrie asked, "Ahsoka?"

"I found a way to defeat the parasites", Ahsoka said.

Quarrie asked, "how?!"

Ahsoka replied, "extreme cold will kill the parasites. You've gotta get your ship to freezing temperatures if you wanna get the parasite out of Sam."

Quarrie jumped out of the way as Sam slashed at him.

"There you are", Sam hissed.

Quarrie then ran out into the hallway of the ship, before running into a room.

"This is better work", Quarrie said as he pushed the lever down, dropping the temperature on the ship down.

Quarrie felt the ship drop out of hyperspace.

Quarrie ran out of the room as he felt himself freezing.

"You can't escape me", Sam hissed.

Quarrie then ran to the controls as he tried to make contact with Kit Fitso.

Quarrie yelled, "General Fisto! Our ships have a deadly parasite on them! The ship's temperatures are lowering, but you need to help us dock, and take out any trace of the- AH!"

Sam slashed their blade at Quarrie before grabbing them by the neck, choking them as they held their lightsaber close.

Sam hissed, "any last words?"

"Sam please…. I love you", Quarrie said.

Those words seem to make Sam snap out of it.

Quarrie used that chance to push Sam into a pipe that was spewing out freezing air.

Sam screamed in pain as Quarrie grabbed one of the ligthsabers. As soon as the parasite climbed our of Sam's mouth, Quarrie sliced the cursed thing in half, killing it!

Soon, the ships docked as clones came in to rescue the remaining crews of both ships.

Kit Fisto walked into the control room and he saw Quarrie holding an unconscious Sam in his arms.

"Please…. Help…. Him….", Quarrie said.

Fisto gave a silent nod as several clones began loading the two of them on gurneys.

….

Sam awoke in a med bay and he saw Quarrie sitting next to him.

"Sam", Quarrie said.

Sam asked, "what happened?"

Quarrie answered, "we're on the cruiser. Ahsoka and I were able to get our ships free of those parasites that got on board."

"I am so sorry…. I just couldn't control myself….", Sam said.

"It's not your fault", Quarrie said as he held Sam's left hand in his.

Sam blushed.

"Back on the ship…. When you said...", Sam said before Quarrie kissed him on the lips.

When the kiss ended, Quarrie said, "I meant what I said, Sam. I love you."

Sam smiled, but then frowned and said, "the code forbids me from being in a relationship."

Quarrie asked, "and, do you follow that part of the code?"

The two were silent for a moment before Sam kissed Quarrie again and said, "what's one more secret…."

….

Everyone shouted, "really!"

Sam and his friends were at Padme's apartment as they said the news.

"Yes, me and Quarrie are in a relationship", Sam said as he was blushing.

"Then does that mean you're...", Anakin said.

Quarrie blushed as he was holding Sam's hand.

Sam said, "yes…. I'm gay. I've been that way for a long time, but I've never known how to come out about it."

"Well I am happy for you, Sam", Anakin said as he hugged his twin with one arm and ruffled his hair.

"Cut it out", Sam said as he blushed.

"You two are cute together", Ahsoka said.

"I know you have had feelings for Quarrie ever since you met him", Leon said.

"Let's hope you two have a happy future together", Padme said with a smile.

"I hope so", Quarrie said.

Sam said, "we've gotta keep it a secret though."

Leon said, "we promise, this never leaves the room."

Sam gave a relieved sigh and said, "thanks guys…."

….

Months later, Anakin, Sam, Obi Wan, Ahsoka and Leon were stuck on a planet called; Mortis.

Ahsoka was asleep in the cave they had set up camp in.

"Are you happy, child?"

Ahsoka woke up as she heard a voice.

"Your master, does he treat you well?"

Ahsoka saw what appeared to be an older version of herself.

She was extremely confused, seeing this older and very attractive version of herself standing by the light of the fire as the others seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Ahsoka asked, as she stood up, "what concern of it is yours?"

"I am your future, your potential", Future Ahsoka said.

"This is a trick", Ahsoka growled as she activated her two lightsabers.

"There is a wildness to you, young one, seeds of the dark side planted by your master", Future Ahsoka said, "do you feel it?"

"No! He is like no other Jedi, passionate, impulsive, but I trust him with my life", Ahsoka said.

"There are many contradictions in you and in him", Future Ahsoka said.

Ahsoka stared at the fire.

"I also have something to show. Of your twin", Future Ahsoka said.

Ahsoka asked, "Ashla? I haven't seen her since my last visit to my home planet."

Future Ahsoka said, "by the time this war is over, she shall meet someone to help put an end to an even greater threat."

Ahsoka asked, "what do you mean?"

"Look for yourself", Future Ahsoka said.

Ahsoka was then some sort of spaceship? It was green everywhere.

"Please, you have a chance to become a better person."

Ahsoka turned to see her twin sister Ashla talking to someone.

The man in front of her said, "I've done so many terrible things. Hurt so many people. How could I possibly make anything I've done right?!"

"If you just listen to your heart", Ashla said as she grabbed both of the white man's hands in her own, "... please i don't want to lose you to this."

The man asked, "well…. Where do I even start?"

Ashla replied with, "by righting your wrongs on Etheria."

Ahsoka asked, "Etheria?"

Ahsoka was then brought back to reality.

"But I warn you! You may never see your future if you remain with your master! and the same might happen to Leon! Leave this planet", Future Ahsoka shouted, before she disappeared.

….

Hours later, after dealing with the inhabitants of the planet, Ahsoka had been killed by a being of the dark side known as; The Son.

"NOOOOOO", Leon shouted as he saw Ahsoka dead on the ground.

Leon ran to her and cradled her in his arms, saying, "Ahsoka, please, wake up! Soka, please!"

"Ahsoka", Anakin shouted.

"You have to help her", Leon shouted as he held her in his arms.

"I cannot undo what is done, there is no hope", the Father said.

"Yes, there is! There's always hope", Sam shouted.

Leon cried as he held Ahsoka, whispering, "please. Don't leave me. I never even…. I never told you….", Leon could only sob as he held the lifeless body of his oldest friend.

The body of the girl he loved.

"Then let my daughter's last act be to breathe life into your friend", The Father said.

Anakin then transferred the Daughter's life force into Ahsoka.

After a few moments, Ahsoka woke up coughing.

"Ahsoka", Leon shouted as he hugged her.

"What's...", Ahsoka said before Leon kissed her.

The others were shocked at first, but quickly smiled as Leon continued to cry as he kissed Ahsoka, who slowly reciprocated the kiss.

This was the start of another secret relationship within the Jedi Order….

….

Months later, nearing the end of the clone wars.

A bombing at the Jedi temple had occurred, and Ahsoka had been framed for it. At first, as Ahsoka and Leon had tried to find the truth, it seemed that Ventress had been the culprit.

But Anakin had later discovered that it was none other than Barris!

Leon shouted, "why did you frame Ahsoka for the bombing!?"

"Ahsoka was your friend and you betrayed her", Anakin shouted.

Sam shouted, "how could you do that to her!?"

Hamill was beside Sam as he snarled at Barriss.

"I did all for you Leon", Barriss snarled.

Leon shouted, "what are you talking about!?"

Barriss hissed out, "you two both found the ones you loved, while I was left to follow a code that stopped me from gaining true happiness! With your little orange girlfriend out of the picture, we could have been together!"

Leon said, "Barriss, I cared about. But as a friend. And do you even know the kind of danger you put Ahsoka into? She's been keeping it a secret, but I know that there's something she's facing that your stupid stunt made even harder for her to bear!"

Barriss screamed in anger as she charged at the three.

But with three on one, they easily fought her off, and brought her to justice.

….

A few hours later, Ahsoka and Leon had decided to leave the Jedi order after everything that happened.

Anakin asked, "Ahsoka, why are you doing this?"

Sam asked, "Leon, why are you leaving as well?"

Ahsoka said, "the council didn't trust me, so how can I trust myself?"

Leon said, "and I need to be there for her. Especially with what we learned shortly before this whole thing occurred."

Sam asked, "and what's that?"

Leon and Ahsoka looked at one another with a silent nod. Their friends deserved to know.

"I'm pregnant", Ahsoka said.

A moment of silence.

"WHAT!?", Sam and Anakin shouted.

"But does that mean you two had….", Anakin said.

"Don't say it out loud", Ahsoka said as she hid her face in Leon's chest.

Sam asked, "why didn't you two tell us before?"

Leon said, "gee, maybe it's because there was a bombing going on?"

Sam said, "... fair point."

Anakin said, "well, we're going to miss you both. Stay safe out there."

The two nodded, but before they could leave, San asked, "um, on question?"

Leon asked, "what?"

Sam asked, "does the carpet match the leeku?"

Five seconds later, Sam was knocked into the walls of the temple as Ahsoka and Leon left to start their new life together….

….

An unspecified amount of them later.

"How am I losing!?", Sidious roared as he tried to block the lightsaber strikes.

"Because you are weak in the dark side", Antauri said.

"No", Darth Sidious shouted as he tried to strike Antauri, only for him to send both of his lightsabers flying over the building.

Darth Sidious shouted, "what are you!? A Jedi?"

"I am neither a Jedi or a Sith, I follow the will of the force", Antauri said.

Sidious growled out, "if you are not with me, then you are my enemy!"

Antauri, "indeed I am. For your actions have caused so much pain across the entire galaxy. On both sides of this bloody war!"

"I will create my empire", Sidious growled.

"I have seen your empire,but you will not live to see it's demise", Antauri said.

Antauri shot some form of energy blast at Sidious, making him double over and clutch his chest.

He yelled, "what have you done to me?!"

Antauri replied, "you'll know... In time."

Antauri disappeared, leaving a confused and terrified Sidious in the darkness of his room.

….

Some time later, closer to the end of the war.

"Anakin, dwelling on Ahsoka's and Leon's decisions won't bring them back", Obi Wan said.

"I miss them! I don't understand how they could have left the order", Anakin said.

"It was their choice Anakin. They had a baby on the way", Sam said.

Anakin shouted, "what about you, don't you miss them at all Sam!?"

Sam then got an angry look on his face.

Sam said, "of course I do. They were the only true friends I had when I first became a Jedi. They comforted me when I felt bad about leaving you and mom behind on Tatooine. Now they're both gone, off to start a family. Whereas Quarrie and I still have to keep our relationship a secret."

As Anakin walked away with an angry expression, Sam had a bad feeling.

….

Later, we see him taking with Padme.

"I'm worried about my brother", Sam said.

Padme asked, "why?"

"He hasn't been himself lately", Sam said.

"I know what you mean, after he has been having nightmares of me dying in Childbirth", Padme said.

Sam asked, "what if they're not real visions?"

"That's what I told him, but he refuses to listen and he spends most of his time with the Chancellor", Padme said.

"I've never trusted Palpatine at all. I've always had a bad feeling about him", Sam said.

"What are you two talking about?"

Sam and Padme turned to see Anakin walking into the room.

Sam said, "oh, uh, just some issues I've been having about my date with Quarrie. We don't want to get spotted by any other members of the order afterall, heh."

Anakin nodded as he went to his and Padme's room.

Sam had an even worse feeling about things to come….
