A/N: Hey guys, it's me again. I've come back from a loooong break with this very short story. Hope you enjoy!
It's been five years. No one can believe it. The city boy who had changed everything had already been living in Mineral Town for five years. He had changed all of their lives, for the better no doubt. He had helped many couples find each other, had made friends with everyone, he had turned that horribly dilapidated mess into the beautiful, peaceful farm that had richened everybody's lives, not just in spirit, but financially. The young boy from the city who had saved Mineral Town from becoming nothing more than an unsuccessful tourist attraction, nothing more than a dirty, lousy amusement park.. This young boy was the hero of the town, and it made everyone guilty to see that they had given him nothing in return. The boy, who had developed into a man, had no wife, no family. It seemed that his life must be a very lonely one, seemingly pointless, with no one to continue the family name. The once hopeful city boy seemed like he could have become a very lonely man.
The man was aware of the town's feelings, and strangely, this made him feel guilty. Or at least it would have been strange if it were true. The man, although usually truthful and honest, had a secret. He was not in fact lonely, he was actually a very happy man. A very happy man, who also happened to be very much in love. The man had been in love for a long time, ever since the first day he dropped a moondrop flower into the waterfall and the most beautiful being he had ever seen had appeared in font of his eyes. He had gone back there every day to that waterfall; he had conquered great feats that strained him both physically and mentally, he had done everything, everything he needed to do to achieve his goal. Marry the goddess.
His guilt came from the fact that no one else knew, no one apart from himself, Carter, the harvest sprites and the Kappa even had solid proof of the woman's existence. However, he could not possibly feel guilt for loving her, for he knew that the town would be pleased to hear that he wasn't really quite so alone in the world.
… Well… um, that was really random. Review please. Constructive criticism gracefully accepted. Thank you.
