Duel Palace - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension

Multiple Duel Academy and Sector Securities lay defeated and groaning in pain. The one who had defeated them was Declan Akaba, as he made his way to the Duel Palace. The moment he stepped inside the place, the Security forces that Roget had assigned there intercepted him. Effortlessly, Declan obliterated them using his D/D/D kings. The display shocked and impressed the Topsiders taking refuge there.

Declan summoned D/D Savant Einstein to ride it to the throne where Jack Atlas was sitting. "Folks, I can hardly believe it! A mysterious duelist just wiped out Security like a hurricane! And now what's he planning to pull with Jack Atlas?" Melissa Trails commented on Declan's actions.

Ignoring the commentary at his actions, Declan came face-to-face with Jack. Jack smiled at Declan as he said, "I need a favor from you, Mr. Atlas..."

"What now, Presider? How should we precede?"

"Hmm... perhaps we should take this time to reflect on the situation?" White Taki answered Bordeaux with his usual smile.

Azul agreed with him. "You may be right; we must try to figure out how to fix the mess we have made."

"Declan pointed things that were irrefutable. It has made us quite... uncertain." Gael remarked.

Suddenly, they heard approaching footsteps. From the doorway, three figures appeared. The light from the blasted in door covered their forms, but the Council was still able to make out the forms. One was a hooded gold and white robed figure with a book on the waist, the other was a long silver-haired woman wearing a purple jacket that was carrying a folding fan in hand, and the last wore what looked like a purple officer uniform. The outfit on the officer was different, but the face was recognizable by the High Council.

"Yuya Sakaki! What are you doing here and who are those people?" Grey questioned.

The officer sighed, "Again, really? I think I'm starting to get how that moron Yugo feels." "Don't let it get to you. It's almost over 70% that someone who met your lookalikes first will make that mistake upon seeing you, for the first time at least." The robed figure assured.

"Excuse me, what?" Gael confusingly asked, the Council noticing the voice and mannerism of the officer was different.

The silver-haired woman then did a curtesy bow to them, left arm across the abdomen and right leg in front of her left. "Greetings, High Council of New Domino. Please allow us to introduce ourselves."

The robed figure brandished her activated Duel Disk's yellow blade across her chest. "The name people call me is Lady Minerva."

Sinisterly smirking, the officer activated his Duel Disk as well. "My name is Yuri... remember it!"

"And I am Madame Chaos." The silver-haired women finished as she deployed her Duel Disk's silver blade. "We bring you pleasantries from the Fusion Dimension's Duel Academy!"

Commons Area - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension

An Ancient Gear Golem slammed its fist into Alien Shocktrooper. Damon was sent back flying as he lost his monster. "Damon!" Tony cried out. Shinji checked in him. "Are you okay?"

"No, he isn't. And neither are you!" The red Duel Academy soldier that controlled the Gear Golem told him. His two buddies, one in yellow and one in red, both controlled an Ancient Gear Hydra each and looked at them with obnoxious smirks.

"There's too many of 'em." Tony said frightfully. "That's loser talk. And we Commons are anything but that. We got this!" Assured Shinji, but then started to doubt his own words. "Well, at least I think we do."

GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER

Suddenly an Action Field was deployed, surprising the duelists. "You guys have nothing to worry about!"

The new voice surprised the duelists. They all looked up at the source of the voice. There, Shinji and his friends saw some familiar faces.

"'Cause we're bringing some serous air power to this tussle!" Flying in from the skies, was Shay's Raidraptors. Rise Falcon carried Shay on its back, a Fiend Eagle carried Sylvio and Chojiro, and Moon Shadow and Riley rode on another one. A Force Strix carried Sora and Crow, and a second Force Strix carried Gong and Yuya on its back while Frank and Amanda were in its claws.

Crow jumped off and activated his Duel Disk. "Take flight and fight! Raikiri, what do you say we swoop on in and clear a path for our pals?!" Crow grabbed Raikiri's left index finger to land safely.

"Crow! Yuya! Everyone!"

"Hope you don't mind our dropping in!" Shay told them as the others landed. "Raikiri, blast away!" With Crow's order, Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower shot a blast wave with slash of his sword and wiped out the Ancient Gear Golem. "Alright, guys! Let them have it!" Yuya summoned Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon which took aim and fired at the Ancient Gear Hydras. The duelists from the Fusion Dimension lay on the ground, moaning in pain.

"And it's Crow and Yuya in a shutout!" Tony cheered. "With an assist from their feathered and draconic friends!" Damon added.

"You guys okay?"

Shinji answered Yuya's question. "Yeah, we are. You guys showed up in the nick of time."

"Guys, these are the Duel Academy people we were talking about! This isn't the time for Commons and Topsiders to be fighting each other! We have to stop them together." Yuya explained the situation to Shinji, Tony, and Damon. "Yuya is right! Here's the deal. Commons and Topsiders have to stop fighting. If we want to save our city, then both sides have to join forces and come together and work as one!" Crow gave his acknowledgment to Yuya's reasoning.

Shinji just said, "No thanks. Topsiders are the worst of the worst!" "They oppressed us and treat us like these invaders do! The Securities are taking us all out, Commons and Duel Academy!" Tony added. Damon was the next to give his opinion. "I'll never forgive those stuck-up creeps, and there's no way I'll ever fight beside them!"

Crow then grabbed and yanked Shinji by his shirt and gave him a strong head-bump. The action surprised Damon and Tony. Not letting go of him, Crow looked at Shinji with sadness mixed with anger. "Are you out of your minds?! This isn't the time to be having those thoughts! If we want to stop these jerks and save our city, we need to work together!"

Crow's grip tightened as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists tighter. His eyes began to tear up as Amanda and Frank went to his side, sensing his feelings. "Because of these monsters, Tarren was..."

Shinji, Tony, and Damon gasped when Crow mentioned Tarren's name and noticed that the youngest of Crow's children was missing. A silent nod from the Lancers, coupled with Crow's pained sorrowful face confirmed the worst. With that, their faces softened.

Patting his right hand on Crow's right shoulder, Shinji prompted Crow to let go of him. "I'm sorry. But even if we convince the Commons to work with the Topsiders, it won't change anything. The Sector Securities are attacking everyone, Commons and Duel Academy alike."

"I don't think they're doing it of their own accord, actually." Sora interjected. "What do ya mean Sora?" Gong asked.

"While we were on the move, I noticed that they were acting strange. The Securities are getting up even though they have been beaten up pretty badly." Sora explained. "I heard a rumor from Duel Academy that Roget implemented some kind of mind-control system to easily control the Securities in case things got too hairy."

"Say what?!" The others, especially the Commons, were surprised at the news.

"If we take down that, we may be able to convince them to help us. Luckily, I think I know where it is. It's probably somewhere in the Sector Security's headquarters."

"Zuzu and Celina must be held there as well. Conquerors tend to keep their valuables close at hand." Moon Shadow theorized.

"Then that's where we got to go!" Yuya was revved up to save his two friends, but Sora's hand grabbing his arm stopped him. "No dice, Yuya. You and the others have to get to Declan and figure out how to unite the remaining Commons and coordinate a means of counterattack. They're in total disarray right now." "But - " "Don't worry. I'll get Zuzu and Celina back and stop Roget's mind-control. You're needed here more than me."

Yuya was about to retort and insist that he would go as well when Roget appeared on multiple hologram monitors.

{{Attention, people of New Domino. The chaos you are witnessing in our fine city is proof that the High Council has failed you, and failed to maintain the peace. But have no fear as there is one person who has failed you... me. Therefore, I have taken it upon myself with the humblest of humbles to announce martial law.}}

Everyone was surprised. "That rat snake!" Gong called out. Crow said with disgust. "So now he is trying to take control of the city while we're in this mess." "It is only natural that people would cling to any hope they can get in a chaotic situation." Chojiro added. Shay growled. "Miserable lowlife."

{{As of now, all other rules are null and void as we are prepared to...}} The monitors suddenly became flickering and full of static. Buzzing noises were made until they cleared up and instead of Roget, Declan was revealed on the monitor, which made the Lancers gape in shock.

{{Citizens of New Domino City. Do not be fooled by Roget and his lies. My name is Declan Akaba. I am leader of the Lancers from the Standard Dimension.}}

Almost instantly, the fighting stopped. The people of New Domino were watching him upon hearing about Roget trying to deceive them, while the Duel Academy recognized him as the Professor's son.

{{Roget is not planning to save this city, but to take full control over it.}} Continued Declan. {{For those who doubt my claims, I present evidence of his true agenda.}} Declan held up the flash disk he brought along from the Hall of Dominion's monitor room.

The screen changed and it showed Roget when he initiated King's Gambit in the Hall of Dominion.

Roget said with a smile, {{Yes, bringing Duel Academy here may have been a plan once but now I have no such interest. If I brought them here, they would destroy the city... After everything I've done to consolidate my power. This city belongs to me - not the High Council, not Duel Academy. This city is thriving because of me.}}

Gael said in a puzzled voice, {{Thanks to you?" "Meaning what?}} Azul questioned.

{{Meaning I've made this city an empire. And now I plan to be its emperor.}}

The citizens of New Domino gasped in shock at the declaration Roget had made.

{{Emperor?!}} Gael said in surprise. {{You're mad!}} Grey added.

{{The mad are the only ones who ever get things done. Really you should be thanking me. This is a far better scenario than being invaded. What's the old saying? It's better to trust the enemy you know that the one you don't?!}}

The Topsiders were in utter disbelief of Roget's betrayal to them. They had all known Roget as the man who would favor them, but he just declared he was going to rule over them like an emperor. A Topsider said in shock, "This... this can't be real." "The Director of Security... was planning this... the whole time?

{{Besides, when you really think about it, what will be any different? I've already been running everything in this city since you appointed me. What's going to change?}}

White Taki questioned calmly with his usual smile, {{So when we allowed you to bolster Security and implement your ARC Technology, it wasn't for some dimensional war, but this?}}

{{But of course. You must position your pawns just right if you plan to win the big game. Or in other words - take out the king.}}

Roget's implementation of Jack Atlas enraged the Commons. "I knew Sector Security were a bunch of no-good rats!" "Yeah, that's why we can't trust them!"

{{You're really something.}} Declan commented as he fixed his glasses. {{All of this time, I thought you were setting the stage for your boss... But really you were just preparing for something even more important to you.}}

{{Yes, myself.}} Roget then smiled. {{And why not? Taking orders from Professor Leo Akaba has grown tiresome. It's far more enjoyable to be the one giving them!}}

The warriors from the Fusion Dimension grew angry at this. "How dare he?!" "He'd betray the Professor for that?! Deplorable!"

Declan reappeared on the monitors. {{As you have heard from Roget, these invaders are warriors from the Fusion Dimension. Their devastating power has been seen by those on this battlefield, have you not? They are able to turn people into cards.}}

With that, the screens changed into new footage. Footage from just a while ago, and those who hadn't seen the true power of Duel Academy were horrified to see it. Chaos Ancient Gear Giants wrecked the city and countless people were turned into cards. Whether or not they were the elderly, children, or women. Topsiders or Commons. {{The rift between Topsiders and Commons must be mended now. If you stand divided, Duel Academy will annihilate the entire city.}}

"Indeed, we shall." Madame Chaos mused as she sat in the High Council's chamber, sitting in White Taki's place. She, Lady Minerva, and Yuri were sitting where the High Council would. Lady Minerva was sitting in Bordeaux's chair, arms and legs crossed and Yuri was sitting directly across from her with his hands behind his head.

Madame Chaos chuckled. "That was a nice move Declan pulled on Roget. The fool blabbed his confession on the High Councils' chamber's surveillance cameras without knowing it. And used it to an excellent degree. Turning his attempt to look like a hero, into a villain." Madame Chaos softly giggled at this. This was joined by the other two.

"This certainly is getting interesting." Yuri admitted with his usual evil smile. "Makes you wonder why we didn't start with this dimension first with all of its problems."

Her tone slowly turned into a condensing, malicious one. "To be completely honest, even if it wasn't an order from the Professor, I would've launched this invasion myself. I detest this town. It's a putrid stain on the face of the dimensional maps. The way I see it, Topsiders and Commons are two sides of the same coin. One side is the arrogant aristocrats, the Topsiders, while the other is the mistreated Commons who misplace their anger at the wrong things. They bicker more like two starving dogs over a piece of meat that ignore their surroundings. And because of that, it was easier to assume control than we could've hoped.

While they rested in cradles of power, they were unaware of another force growing in strength under their noses. They grew blinded by ambitious power plays, assumed that no force would come to challenge them in their arrogance. Now finally, we are here. And now this city... shall fall to our great power."

Commons Area - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension

The Commons and Topsiders were uncertain of anything anymore. They had fought against each other for as long as they could remember, and now had been reduced to hunting practice for these invaders. How could they work together now?

{{You already heard 'em, why are you all hesitating?!}} Jack Atlas appeared on the screen, surprising the people of New Domino. If one paid close enough attention, they could see Declan was behind him.

"Jack?!"

{{Hearing those insults and seeing the power they possess, are you just going to let that happen?! Right now, the future of New Domino is at stake here! If we let ourselves fight each other, they'll destroy everything we hold dear! Now is the time to make a stand together! Let us show that Topsiders and Commons can work together and prove them wrong!}}

Thus, a cheer arose in the city as the people united as one to defeat a common foe. "Let's get them! We'll show them what we can really do!" All the citizens donned their Duel Disks on and rose to combat the forces of Duel Academy.

As Jack stood up from his throne to fight the Duel Academy duelists that were encroaching on the Duel Palace, he added, {{Lastly, I have a direct message for Yuya Sakaki.}} "For me?!" Yuya pointed to himself.

{{Yuya, I give your duel with Crow zero stars. You battled using brute force, without any style or finesse. You might call yourself a dueltainer, but there was nothing entertaining about your duel! You couldn't even make a clown smile!}}

"Jack doesn't pull any punches!" Yuya was astonished at the harsh scolding he got. Then his face morphed into one of confusion. "But maybe Jack is right. That duel with Crow was a total blur! I don't remember much of anything. I kinda felt like I was out of control and totally forgot about entertaining the crowd."

{{But if it's not the way you duel, then it's never too late to get back on track. I want to know if you have what it takes! Yuya! Are you going to show how a real dueltainer duels? Or let stage fright keep you pacing behind the scenes? The choice is yours!}}

The hologram monitors turned off, leaving Yuya dumbstruck. "Jack is right." "I have to remind people that dueling is to make people happy."

Resolve strengthened, Yuya looked at Sora with trust. "Okay Sora, I'll leave it to you to save Celina and Zuzu. I know what I have to do now."

"Thanks. We'll meet up back at the Duel Palace." Sora nodded in confirmation. "I will go as well; two heads are better than one." Moon Shadow volunteered.

"Okay then. Oh, and if you meet a guy named Barrett, you got to defeat him." "Why do we have too? Who's this Barrett?" Sylvio asked Sora.

"He's the guy in charge of the invasion army. If we beat him, the army will be in disorder. This is just the first wave of them, but if we can defeat Barrett it may give us time to prepare for the next one."

Shinji agreed with Sora's theory. "Sounds like a plan! Tell us what he looks like." "He has a scar on his face and wears an eyepatch over his right eye. He utilizes a Beastborg deck. Don't take him lightly." Sora warned.

With that information in hand, the group split up. Moon Shadow went to the HQ of Sector Security, while Yuya and the others went in the direction of the Duel Palace. Unknown to Yuya and the others, Shay stopped in his tracks for a few minutes as he looked in the direction Moon Shadow and Sora went. He turned back and started to run their way.

Sector Security Headquarters - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension

Roget furiously threw his chessboard pieces in anger. His plans had been utterly crushed. Now everyone in New Domino and Duel Academy was after his head. "Blast you, Declan! Now I have only one shot at this! As long as I have Sergey, I can still have a chance to take over New Domino."

Then he changed the monitor and looked at Celina and Zuzu whom he imprisoned. Celina was kicking and crushing the door with her body in an attempt to break out. Zuzu just sat silently watching her. Roget thought to himself. "And as long as I have these two, Duel Academy can't touch me."

"Send every available Security to guard the building! Make sure no one comes in!"

Madame Chaos, Lady Minerva. and Yuri calmly chuckled after Jack's speech. "Well, well, well. Things have certainly gotten intriguing, haven't they?" Madame Chaos commented.

"So what are you going to do now? We already have what we needed from him." Lady Minerva asked Madama Chaos as she placed her fingers on her chin in condescending way as she kept her visible eye close. "The ability to control every officer in New Domino is ours now, more or less. However, we only have managed to get over 80% control over them." "I still haven't been able to get the Securities in Sector Security Headquarters to follow our orders yet, along with that cyborg enforcer of Roget's."

"Don't you worry Lady Minerva, the ones you have gotten are enough to reinforce the troops." Assured Madame Chaos. "You may activate them when I give the word." Lady Minerva confirmedly nodded in understanding.

Madame Chaos then pulled up on the monitor Hydromancy's contact number and got her on the line. "Hydromancy, what's the progress on your end?" Hydromancy appeared on the Council's monitor and saluted with her right arm. {{All clear on my end!}}

The Facility- New Domino City - Synchro Dimension

"Although, I wish I could've had more fun." She pouted emotionlessly.

The Facility's smoking courtyard was littered with dozens of defeated prison guards and Stomptroopers. Duel Academy soldiers were cleaning up the mess and carding the prisoners, while Hydromancy was talking.

"Man, the kid doesn't know how to hold back, does she?" A blue Fusion Warrior said. "Yeah, she wiped the floor with all of them!" An Obelisk Force Red agreed. "Still can't believe we were only the retainers if she went cray cray." A Buster Brigadier nervously complemented.

Hydromancy was standing on her heels and leaned closer to the hologram monitor. "When are we really going to have some real fun?" She complained monotony. {{Very soon. Just make sure our new base of operations here in Domino is secured before the tournament is over.}} Madame Chaos ordered.

"'Kay!" With that, the monitor turned off and Hydromancy spun on her heels and skipped off humming, carrying her staff on her back by her belts.
