Lead the Way: A Star Wars/She-Ra Story
Chapter 12: The Temple
The Horde Soldiers and the rebellion on Etheria were all on the hunt for the Jedi temple located on the planet.
"I think it's this way", Entrapta said.
"Entrapta, be careful", Sam said.
Hordak asked, "are you sure the Temple is located somewhere around here?"
Entrapta said, "well, based on my research, we should be close. The temple will probably look very old and decrepit, since I doubt anyone's come to visit it in a long time."
Hamill then ran forward.
"Hamill! Wait up", Sam shouted as he ran after his droid.
Hordak and Entrapta then ran after Sam.
"Sam, don't run off like….", Hordak said.
"Woah", Entrapta said.
Standing in front of them was; a gigantic temple. The stone it was made of was a dark aged brown, with vines and cracks littering every inch of it. Sam was holding Hamill in his arms as they gazed upon the magnificent structure!
Hordak asked, "is this?"
"There's no doubt about it, this is the Jedi Temple", Sam said.
"Let's go inside", Entrapta said.
Sam activated his two lightsabers.
"Just be careful, there is something guarding the temple inside", Sam said.
The group walked forward into the temple.
"This place is very old", Sam said.
"No-one has been here for thousands of years, after the Jedi on Etheria disappeared", Entrapta said.
Hordak asked, "what sort of guardian would be here? They would be very old by now."
Sam said, "I'd imagine some sort of AI or droid would be guarding a Jedi temple. Keep your guard up. We don't want anyone getting the drop on us. These statues are still intact."
"These walls have some sort of writing on them", Entrapta said.
Hamill then started to snarl.
Hordak asked, "what's wrong with your droid?"
"Something is coming", Sam said.
All of them got into battle stances, ready to face whatever was coming their way.
Hordak asked, "who goes there?"
"Are you a Jedi?"
Entrapta asked, "who said that?"
The voice said again, "are you a Jedi?"
Sam stepped forward and said, "I am Sam Skywalker. Jedi Knight of the Republic. And I ask that you show yourself, guardian of the temple."
Satisfied, the guardian showed itself to the others.
A glowing blue man, similar in appearance to Light Hope.
They spoke in a voice that sounded both male and female, as if two voices were overlapping.
They said, "welcome, Jedi. I am Twilight. Guardian of this temple."
"Woah", Entrapta said with sparkles in her eyes.
Twilight asked, "what brings you here to the Temple?"
Sam replied, "please, oh guardian, we need your help. The Jedi order is in great danger, and we need information or tools we can use to turn the tide."
"Follow me", Twilight said.
Sam, Hordak and Entrapta started to follow Twilight.
Entrapta asked, "so, have you been here for thousands of years?"
"Yes", Twilight responded.
As they walked along, they saw many murals on the wall of past battles fought, with She-Ra being among many of them. They soon entered a rather large room with many artifacts. These included old lightsabers and holocrons.
"Woah! Look at all these Lightsabers", Entrapta said.
Hordak asked, "and what are these called?"
"Holocrons. They're what the Jedi use to store all of their information", Sam said.
"After the Jedi on Etheria disappeared, I was ordered to bring all the lightsabers and Holocrons here", Twilight said.
Hordak asked, "do these Lightsabers work?"
"No, they have stopped functioning for thousands of years", Twilight said.
Sam said, "well, is there any type of video footage we can look over?"
Twilight said, "yes. I have one stored in my database that I can show you."
Twilight started projecting a hologram that shows Antauri in a furious battle!
The footage then showed more Jedi battles, before it settled upon Antauri.
"Listen to me. Whoever is watching this, means the Jedi Order has fallen and so has the Republic….", Antauri said.
"Antauri knew the order would fall….", Sam whispered.
"But all hope is not lost….", Antauri said.
Entrapta asked, "what does he mean?"
Antauri then started to speak more.
He said, "for there is a prophecy. For there is a chosen one, who is supposed to bring balance to the force."
Sam muttered, "Anakin."
Antauri continued with, "but if they should fall, there will be another hope. For it is said that the warrior named She-Ra, shall join forces with a dyad. A bond in the force that is so strong, it can rival any power in the galaxy! This dyad will help She-Ra to bring balance to the force, and finally end the Sith, once and for all, bringing peace to the galaxy, once again. Not all hope is lost, may the force be with you all", Antauri said as the footage ended.
Sam asked, "a dyad in the force?"
Hordak whispered, "She Ra?"
Sam asked, "Twilight?"
"Yes", Twilight said.
Sam asked, "this temple wouldn't happen to have…. Kyber Crystals?"
Twilight thought for a moment.
"Follow me", Twilight said.
The group followed Twilight, until they reached a crystal door.
Entrapta asked, "what's behind the door?"
"Behind this door lies the cave which houses the Kyber Crystals. It was a much easy task for the Jedi on Etheria to receive their crystals, than going to Illum", Twilight said.
Entrapta asked, "Hordak what's wrong?"
"I hear a whistle….", Hordak said.
Entrapta said, "I don't hear anything."
Sam said, "does it sound like it's in your head?"
Hordak said, "yes. Like it's…. Calling me…?"
"That means it must be…. Your Kyber crystal calling you", Sam said.
Entrapta asked, amazed, "can the crystals do that?"
"That's how a Jedi knows which Crystal is theirs", Sam said.
"Very well, I shall open the doors, but I should warn you to wear this, when you go inside", Twilight said as they handed them jackets.
Entrapta asked, "why is the cave cold?"
"Caves that house Kyber Crystals are very cold", Sam said.
The group then put on their jackets.
Hamill hopped inside Sam's hoodie.
"Let's go", Sam said.
The group began going through the caves, seeing ice all over the walls as the ringing in Hordak's head got louder and louder.
"It keeps getting louder", Hordak said.
"One of these crystals must be yours", Sam said.
"There are so many", Entrapta said.
Hordak then saw in the distance two glowing crystals.
Sam asked, "what is it, Hordak?"
Hordak said, "I…. I see them…. Two of them!"
Sam thought, 'two? Just like me.'
Hordak got closer and closer to the crystals, the ringing getting louder and louder until he finally placed both hands on top of them!
Hordak removed the two crystals which stopped glowing.
"You got two crystals just like me", Sam said.
Entrapta asked, "what?"
"When I first went to Ilum, unlike the others who got one crystal, I got two crystals", Sam said.
"Awww! That's so cute that you two have so much in common", Entrapta said.
Despite the cold, Sam and Hordak's cheeks both blushed heavily at her words, as they glanced at one another, seeing her point.
Hordak asked, "well, now what?"
"Now you have to choose the design for your lightsabers", Sam said.
Hordak asked, "design?"
"There are various designs of Lightsabers, but let's go ask Twilight", Sam said.
The group made their way out of the cave, and Twilight then handed them a few holocrons.
"This Holocron contains a list of various Lightsaber designs, which may help you choose which one you want", Twilight said.
Entrapta asked, "and these other Holocrons what are they for?"
"They contain all the lightsaber combat styles, and more that will help in your training. These will be the only Holocrons I will give you", Twilight said.
Hordak nodded as he walked over to a workable that was set up with various components sitting there for him to use.
Sam and Entrapta waited for a while, until Twilight told them, "Hordak is finished with his lightsabers."
"Well, let's see what they look like and what colors you got", Sam said.
Hordak activated his new weapons, showing a green blade and a light blue blade surging out of them!
"That's amazing, you got green and blue", Sam said.
Entrapta said, "I thought both of the sabers would be blue, since the crystals were both blue?"
Sam explained, "that ain't how it works. Lightsabers can be many different colors. Blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, red, cyan, and more. Once a crystal bonds with its user, that will be when the color is chosen for the lightsaber", Sam explained as well.
Entrapta asked, "well, now what?"
"Well, let's head back to the Fright Zone, I will start training you in the ways of the force Hordak", Sam said.
"Thank you, Sam", Hordak said.
"Farewell", Twilight said.
Sam asked, "Twilight, wait, if we ever need your help again, is there a way to contact you?"
Twilight replied, "I have managed to copy my consciousness onto this."
They revealed what looked like a watch that Sam put on.
Twilight explained, "you can use this to contact me."
"Thanks, Twilight", Sam said.
"Farewell", Twilight said.
"Man, it's going to be a long journey back", Sam said.
"Yeah, I am going to take a nap when we get back", Entrapta said.
….
2 days later
"We're finally here", Bow said.
"The Jedi Temple looks so big", Glimmer said.
"Let's go inside", Luke said.
Adora had transformed into She-Ra.
"Just be careful, who knows what might be in there", She Ra said.
The group then walked forward.
"Woah, look at all these statues", Bow said.
"And these writings and drawings on the wall", Glimmer said.
Adora then saw the drawing of She-Ra fighting alongside the Jedi.
"Are you a Jedi?"
The others all turned to see Twilight standing there.
She-Ra said, "I am She-Ra. Who are you?"
Twilight grew an awestruck look and said, "it is an honor, She-Ra. I am Twilight, guardian of the temple. You must be allies of the Jedi known as Skywalker, correct?"
She-Ra asks, "you mean Sam Skywalker?"
Leia asked, "he was here?"
"Yes. Two days ago, he and two others came to the temple searching for knowledge on how to defeat this empire, and I showed them this footage", Twilight said as they once again showed the footage of Antauri's message.
"It's Antauri", Glimmer said.
Leia said, "what else happened here?"
Twilight said, "Skywalker's companion, a man with white skin, received two Kyber crystals, and made two lightsabers."
Luke said, "wait, Hordak has a lightsaber? And not just that; two?!"
Bow asked, "woah. So, it looks like She-Ra is supposed to work with this dyad. And, who would this dyad be?"
"I am not certain, only the Force will let us know", Twilight said.
"Great", Glimmer said.
"Follow me She-Ra, I have something else for you", Twilight said.
The group then started to follow Twilight, until they were in the room that housed all the Lightsabers and Holocrons.
"Woah, look at all these Lightsabers", Bow said with sparkles in his eyes.
"And these Holocrons", Luke said.
"There has to be a ton of information here", Threepio said.
Twilight said, "indeed, that's what the girl with purple hair said."
Luke asked, "girl with purple hair?"
Twilight replied, "the girl that came with Skywalker and Hordak."
"Entrapta", The group said.
Luke asked, "what did they take?"
"Only a few Holocrons to help in Hordak's training, as Skywalker would be training him in the ways of the force", Twilight said.
"That would mean that Hordak could still become a better person", Bow said.
Adora asked, as she turned back to normal, "what did you want to show me?"
Twilight then brought over a few Holocrons to the group.
They said, "these will give you the information you will need in order to complete your goals."
"Thanks", Adora said.
Bow asked, "if we ever need your help is there a way to contact you?"
Twilight handed Bow the same device they gave to Sam.
"Okay, thanks", Bow said.
"May the force be with you", Twilight said.
And with that, the group left with the tools they would need in order to gain the upper hand.
Little did the groups know, was that their paths would eventually cross because of this.
….
A few days later.
"Good, again", Sam said.
Hordak then ran towards Sam with his two lightsabers as they clashed with Sam's blue lightsaber.
Sam sighed as he deactivated his lightsaber.
Hordak asked, "what's wrong?"
"Hordak, you have been relying too much on your two lightsabers", Sam said.
Hordak asked, "what do you mean?"
"If you rely on the two, you can easily forget to fight with just one lightsaber", Sam said.
Hordak said, "and how would you know?"
Sam replied, "I trained nearly my whole life in order to hone my skills in numerous forms of combat. Fist fighting, one lightsaber, two lightsabers, knives, blasters, the list goes on."
"Well, you do make a point", Hordak said.
"Okay, let's try that again, this time try using the force to call your lightsabers", Sam said.
Sam then hid Hordak's lightsabers.
"Now close your eyes, and use the force to search for your lightsabers", Sam said.
Hordak closed his eyes and reached out his hand to feel for his lightsabers.
After a few moments, Hordak felt the energy from his weapons, and began to call for the weapons. Slowly, the lightsabers rose into the air, and then flew into his grasp!
"Great work Hordak", Sam said.
"I am starting to feel much stronger", Hordak said.
"You are learning faster than any other Jedi", Sam said.
Hordak asked, "and is that a good thing?"
"Yes it's a good thing, let's keep training", Sam said.
….
At Bright Moon.
Adora, Luke and Leia were going through all the Holocrons Twilight had given them.
Bow asked, as he and Glimmer entered the room, "what did you learn guys from the Holocrons?"
Luke said, "a lot about how the Jedi order was formed, battles they fought, and how Etheria played a part of their history."
"But the Holocrons don't reveal what happened to the Jedi on Etheria", Leia said.
Glimmer asked, "well that's bad, but what kind of history did they have on Etheria?"
Adora said, "well, it looks like the Jedi were allies of She-Ra, dating back a long time, hence why they fought so many battles together. They helped protect the planet until it somehow ended up somewhere else?"
"There's even a Holocron showing Mara explaining different combat styles", Luke said.
"In it, she says she learned most of her fighting styles from Antauri", Adora said.
Glimmer said, "interesting."
Bow said, "chances are that Hordak and Sam know the same things we've learned."
"Our uncle called us this morning and told us about going to the temple", Luke said.
"He also let us know he was alright", Leia said.
"Well that's good news", Glimmer said.
"Come on, let's keep looking through the Holocrons", Adora said.
….
"The force is strong with him. Kanan, let's find out how strong", Ahsoka said.
Kanan asked, "how can I help?"
"Just remember your training", Ahsoka said.
"The ships are closing in", Leon shouted.
"There's something familiar. I feel…. Cold. I think I know who it is. Back on Lothal I felt something. Kanan did too", Ezra said.
Ahsoka sensed Darth Vader's presence.
"The fear. The anger. The hate. It's the Emperor", Ezra said.
Ahsoka opens her eyes in shock.
….
"The apprentice lives", Darth Vader said.
….
Ahsoka screams and blacks out.
Kanan asked, "Ahsoka?"
Leon ran to his wife and held her in his arms, trying to wake her back up.
Leon asked, "what the Hell did she see?"
Kanan shrugged, not that sure of it.
"We have to leave now", Ezra shouted.
"Where, there's no way out", Zeb shouted.
Hera said, "is this the end for us?"
"You got that wrong."
Leon said, "Bane?"
"Hello, miss me?"
Hera said, "Han Solo?"
"As soon as I heard Leia was missing, I came as fast as I could", Han Solo said.
"Two ships won't stop us", Darth Vader said.
Bane said, "who said we were the only ones here?"
Then various Star destroyers appeared, but these ones had red in the middle.
Kanan asked, "where did those Star Destroyers come from?"
"A good Question, for another time, that is."
Kanan and Ezra shouted, "Master Yoda!?"
Yoda chuckled.
Rex said over the com, "blast those ships!"
"Rex", Leon said.
Wrecker said, "hey what about us?"
"Wrecker", Leon said as well.
"Hope you didn't forget about us as well", Cal said.
"Cal", Kanan said.
"We're all here to help", Merrin said.
"We have already freed Lothal and various other planets in the outer rim", Luminara said.
"That's impossible! The Jedi are dead", Darth Vader said.
Shaak Ti said, "that's where you're wrong. The order still thrives!"
Aayla added, "growing strong enough…."
"To end your Empire", Fisto finished.
Vader growled in anger, seeing the Jedi and rebels turning out to be such a threat towards his Empire!
"I will finish you all and I will get my children back", Vader roared.
"Never", Obi Wan said.
"We will stop you", Hunter shouted.
"We will never let you find them", Han Solo shouted.
"Or harm them", Omega shouted.
Crosshair said, "how about we all end this now?"
"With Pleasure", Hera said.
The many rebel ships began blasting at the Imperial ships, forcing a hasty retreat as Vader yelled, "this isn't over! The Empire will hunt you all down", before he too raced off.
"Captain Syndulla, we would like to speak with your crew", Obi Wan said.
Hera piloted the Ghost into one of the Jedi Cruisers and docked inside.
Zen asked, "need help?"
"Yes please", Leon said.
Zeb then carried Ahsoka in his arms, and the group then walked past the hallways.
Kanan asked, "Clones?"
"We're here", Ezra said.
The doors to the bridge opened and inside was; most of the Jedi and clones.
This included; Obi Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Luminara Unduli, Plo Koon, Captain Rex and the Bad Batch! Even Ventress was there!
"Hello there", Obi Wan said.
Plo Koon asked, "what happened to little Soka?"
"She blacked out", Leon said.
"Get her to the medical bay", Rex said to a few clone troopers, who placed Ahsoka on a stretcher and carried her to the medical bay.
Kanan said, "wait, how is this possible? I thought the Jedi Order was dead?"
Luminara said, "not all clones were forced to carry our Order 66. We received help from a good chunk of clones in order to go into hiding. But as soon as Sam and his family disappeared, we knew we needed to reveal ourselves."
Obi Wan said, "the fight between the Rebellion and the Empire now has the remnants of the Jedi order to deal with."
Yoda said, "protect our allies, we must. Stop Vader, and save Skywalker, our goal is."
Ezra asked, "so Lothal has been freed?"
"Yes it has been freed", Tech said.
"We have been able to free all the planets in the Outer Rim as more people are standing up to the Empire", Echo said.
"Now we plan to free the other planets at a time", Omega said.
"That's perfect", Sabine said.
"With your help we will be able to take down the Empire", Zeb said.
"And bring peace to the Galaxy", Obi Wan said.
Leon said, "but there's one group that could really turn the tide in all of this."
They all said, "the Skywalker family."
Leon nodded and said, "we need to find Sam and the kids. They're our key to finally defeating Vader and his Empire, once and for all."
"Let's hope we find them before Vader", Plo Koon said.
"We will find them", Obi Wan said.
Leon said, "agreed. For now, what's our plan?"
Bane then walked in and said, "what the kid said. We need a game plan, and we need it now."
"For now, let's build bases on the planets of the outer rim, so the Empire doesn't try to reclaim them", Luminara said.
"Sounds like a great plan", Hera said.
"Let's go", Hunter said.
The Jedi and Rebels were still determined to find the Skywalker Family, but they would free the galaxy first from the hands of Darth Vader and the Empire….

This is an AU, so that's why Crosshair is a part of the rebels, unlike the show, where he joined the Empire.
I hope Twilight was a good addition to the story.
