This chapter marks the debut of Lady Minerva and Madame Chaos' decks! Just to let you know, Lady Minerva utilizes a Charmer and Invoked deck, and Madame Chaos uses an Aroma and Shaddoll deck. I am planning for Hydromancy to use Djinn of Rituals and Gishki deck. But I haven't gotten out all the kinks yet. I'm using the game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution on Nintendo Switch to build the decks. At the time of writing this, I wasn't finished with Lady Minerva and Hydromancy's decks.
Streets - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension
Gong and Sylvio were running as fast as they possibly could towards the building. Sylvio was having a hard time keeping up with Gong. "Gong!" Sylvio called out. "I'd never guess a guy like you would be so light on your feet! Slow down!"
"Gong don't slow down when Gong's friends are in trouble!" Gong snapped.
Entrance - Sector Security Headquarters - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension
Yuya, back in his normal clothes, Yugo, Crow, and Jack arrived at the crumbling, smoking Sector Security HQ. They saw the workers exiting from the smoking building in a panic.
"You guys go on ahead. I'll wait for the others." Yugo told Yuya as they dismounted the Runners. "Okay. I'm going ahead with Jack and Crow then." Yuya told him before entering the building with Jack and Crow.
A few minutes later, Gong and Sylvio arrived, the latter panting so hard after running. "Yugo! Where's Yuya and the others?" Gong asked. Yugo responded as he pointed at the entrance. "They went on ahead. I was waiting for the rest of you to get here."
"Then let's get a move on!" Gong told them. "Wha?! But I just sto - " Gong didn't allow Sylvio to finish his objection, immediately dragging him by the collar without difficulty. Ignoring his protests, Gong ran into the building, with Yugo in tow.
Dimensional Transporter - Sector Security Headquarters - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension
The confrontation between Lady Minerva and Roget continued. Celina, who struggled to stand up, could only watch as she slowly moved as far as she could away from them.
Lady Minerva broke the silence with a chuckle, which soon turned into full-blown laughter that was shared by her posse. In Hydromancy's case, it was more of a soft chuckle with a small smile.
"You?! The best that Duel Academy has to offer?! That's quite the joke!" Lady Minerva said while laughing. "What?!" Roget was confused by their laughter.
Catching her breath, Madame Chaos then explained the reason they were laughing in a condescending way. "The only reason you were ever sent here was because we told the Professor to do so!" The news shocked Roget.
Hydromancy then spoke. "I was able to predict how your ambitious personality would eventually lead to a very likely betrayal to the Professor, so I informed him about it!"
Madame Chaos then said, "It was my idea to send you here to Synchro to help break the tiny, fragile strands of trust between Topsiders and Commons."
"I then deduced how successful our invasion would be if we let you run wild and without visible supervision, and the result was wonderful! After all, you plunged the city into chaos to take control of it, didn't you? That gave us the perfect opportunity to invade!" Lady Minerva explained.
"But now that your role is over..." Madame Chaos' tone turned cold and cruel. "It's time to toss away the unwitting pawn that has served its purpose."
"And it will be my pleasure to do so!" Lady Minerva declared as she began her turn. "I'm activating the spell Mystical Space Typhoon to blow your pitiful shield into oblivion!" Strong winds blew Magic Shield into pieces.
"Now I summon Aleister the Invoker(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1800/LV: 4) to the field!" Lady Minerva summoned a Spellcaster in a male version of her outfit. "When he's successfully summoned, I can add a special spell card from my deck to my hand." A card came out of her deck, and she quickly added it to her hand.
"Next, by discarding Milla the Temporal Magician(ATK: 1800/DEF: 1000/LV: 4) from my hand to the graveyard, I'm able to play the Fusion spell that all high-ranking duelists have in Duel Academy. The spell Super Polymerization!" Lady Minerva revealed another card she held in her hand. As she activated the spell, a multicolored vortex appeared behind her. "With the great power of this card, I can use any monsters on the field to fusion summon, including your Howitzer!" "What?! My monster too?!" Roget looked at his only monster in horror.
"Yes! So now I fuse Ancient Gear Howitzer and Aleister the Invoker!" She raised her open computer tablet book to be horizontal with her face and chanted. "With the almighty power of sorcery and the strength of technology, I conjure a being of earth-shattering proportions!" She closed the book vertically as she yelled, "I Fusion Summon Invoked Magellanica(ATK: 3000/DEF: 3300/LV: 8)!" Magellanica arrived on the field, its single eye focusing on a frightened Roget.
"And that's not all! I now activate the spell I got from Aleister! The spell, Invocation! With this, I can banish the two monsters in my graveyard to Fusion Summon again!" "Oh, no!" Roget was greatly panicking now. "Oh, yes! So, I fuse Aleister the Invoker and Milla the Temporal Magician into one. With the almighty power of sorcery and the brilliance of time, I conjure a warrior who really knows how to speed things up! I Fusion Summon! My mighty knight, Invoked Mechaba(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2100/LV: 9)!" Mechaba charged onto the field.
Roget knew how this was going to go, as he was sweating in uncontrollable fear. This face paled as when he saw the look in Lady Minerva's eye, as it promised nothing but pain.
"Magellanica, crush this traitor with Continental Imbalance!" Magellanica raised its massive fists and slammed them on Roget.
ROGET LP: 4000 = 1000
Lady Minerva then went for the final blow. "Time to checkmate this fool! Now... Invoked Mechaba! End this would-be usurper with Gleaming Chariot!" As Roget stood back up, Mechaba charged at him and delivered a brilliantly lit slash that knocked him back into the machine that was behind him and Celina, depleting all his life points.

"Now that that nuisance has been dealt with... we can focus on our other priority." Yuri said as the group approached Celina.
Forcing herself to stand, Celina readied her Duel Disk. "Oh? You're injured, but you still want to fight?" Madame Chaos said with intrigue. "I'm... not going back... without a fight." Celina declared to them.
"Oh, very well." Yuri and the girls got their Duel Disks ready. "We'll try to go easy on you. Since you've got those injuries after all."
"You think you're all safe?!" The scoffing caught everyone's attention, as they saw Roget stand up. "That you have defeated me and won?!" "Well, he doesn't know when to quit." Hydromancy commented.
Roget smirked as he headed to the machine's console. "Of course not. I always have another plan ready. What you're standing on is the biggest interdimensional transporter known to man! And with it, I'm sending you all plummeting to other dimensions!" "That's crazy!" Celina exclaimed. Lady Minerva added, "He's two cards short of a deck!"
"And the best part, I have no idea where you'll end up. I hope you don't scare easily. Some of these dimensions can be quite horrific. And this is checkmate!" Roget activated the transporter with a twisted expression. "I'm clearing the board! Bon voyage fools. You lose! You all lose!" Roget then slammed his fist onto the console.
The machine started up as Roget laughed maniacally. As he turned around, he declared, "I really have outdone myself. This is an incomparable end game!" Green lights began to ripple across the wall, alarms blared, powerful winds swirled in the room, and arcs of electricity started to crackle over the machine. The five duelists braced themselves from the winds. In Hydromancy's case, she held her hat with her hands as she braced the winds.
Outside, a green light shot out from the building. The light covered the entire building, shocking the citizens of New Domino as they all wondered what the light meant. The light spread outward slowly, making the building disappear. (This was in a similar manner to Reverse Zero in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds.)
"Celina!"
Declan, Shay, and Moon Shadow entered the room, and found themselves bracing from the wind. "What's going on?!" Shay asked as he and his two comrades tried their best to hold their ground.
Roget was laughing wildly in the depths of his madness. "It's time, time for you all to fall! You're all going into the void, to disappear forever! Hahaha! Ta ta! See you never!" "He's completely lost his mind!" Celina thought as she braced herself against the winds.
"See ya."
Yuri and Madame Chaos then sprang into action. They knocked Roget away from the machine and pushed him over the edge into a waiting wormhole. Before he knew what hit him, Roget was falling into an unknown destination screaming, "Noooooo!"
As the wormhole closed up, Yuri and Madame Chaos held onto the console, trying to stop the machine. Before they could hit the emergency shutoff, lightning struck the floor beside them, causing them to fall from the edge.
Seeing them about to fall, Celina's body moved on its own, without hesitation. Ignoring the pain, she grabbed Yuri's right sleeve as he fell, causing him to dangle from a perilous height. Madame Chaos then grabbed Yuri's left leg to prevent herself from falling.
"What are you doing?! Take my hand!" Celina told Yuri and Madame Chaos, who were dumbstruck by Celina's action. "Hurry! I can't hold on much longer!" Celina's hold began to weaken as she said that.
Snapping from his daze, Yuri took Celina's hand. However, the moment they joined hands, all of a sudden, both of their visions became blurry before seeing something else. In each of their eyes, they no longer saw each other. They saw only young children.
In Celina's eyes, a young boy and a young girl with hair in a single braid. In Yuri's, a young girl with a bow in her hair.
As they dangled, Hydromancy and Lady Minerva made their way over to the console and initiated the shutoff sequence.
As the winds, lightning, and lights died down, the two of them collapsed from exhaustion and relief. Celina quickly pulled up Yuri and Madame Chaos. When they were near enough to the edge, they pulled themselves up by grasping onto the ledge.
Panting, Celina and Yuri were not focused on the near-death experience they just had, but on what they saw. It was as if it was a forgotten memory. The two of them thought the same thing. "What was that...?"
Hallway - Sector Security Headquarters - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension
As the shaking stopped, Zuzu looked around worryingly. "What just happened?"
Zuzu was standing outside a door with Sora and Riley waiting for Yuya. The whole building shaking and hearing a noise from the other side of the door unnerved her. The shaking wasn't like an earthquake, but the noise was the thing that bothered her the most.
"Zuzu! Where are you?!"
Then, they saw Yuya running towards them with Jack and Crow in tow. Seeing her best friend, Zuzu no longer cared about her injuries. She couldn't help but run with tears in her eyes to the boy who she loved more than just a friend.
"Yuya!" Zuzu cried as the two of them hugged each other. Yuya replied, sobbing, "I missed you. We're finally back together. And I'll never let you out of my sight... again!" Yuya hugged her tightly as if he feared she was an illusion that could disappear at any moment. Zuzu just closed her eyes and rested her chin on Yuya's shoulder as she cried as well.
While Jack, Crow, Riley, and Sora knew too well of the situation they were currently in, they remained silent and smiled at the touching reunion of the two friends. Sora was smiling and also thought, "Mental Note: Remember to tease them of this when this is all over."
Yuya then caressed the injury on Zuzu's cheek as they broke the embrace. "Are you okay?! Did Roget do this?!" "I'm fine, Yuya. But Roget still has Celina." Zuzu turned toward the door as she told him.
"Did Roget and Celina go through this door?" "Yes. Celina and I dueled Roget and defeated him, but he kept coming back every time we beat him." Zuzu explained to Yuya and the others.
"How is that possible?!" Yuya asked in disbelief.
Zuzu just looked at Sora to explain. "This whole building is one big ARC System projector. The real Roget hid in another room while he sent hologram clones to exhaust them." "That's just low!" Crow said in disgust after hearing Sora's explanation, which Jack reciprocated the feeling.
"Declan, Moon Shadow, and Shay went after him and Celina. We were told to protect Zuzu and wait until you got here." Riley explained.
"Then we just need to wait for Gong and Sylvio to - " "Yuya!" Yuya and the others looked toward the voice that called his name and saw Gong and Sylvio running towards them, with Yugo keeping his distance. "Sorry we're late! Let's go get Celina!" Gong said in high spirits.
"Wait, isn't that Yugo?" Zuzu asked, narrowing her eyes to see the turbo duelist waving and smiling wide at her. "Why is he so far away?" "We don't want your bracelet to glow and send him somewhere else again, right?" Yuya answered as he looked at her bracelet. "Oh, yeah! I almost forgot!" Zuzu looked at her bracelet in curious wonder.
"Zuzu! You're alive!" Yugo shouted from afar, causing her to sweatdrop and nearly lose her footing. "Why are you saying that, as if I was dead?!" "When Sergey crushed you and sent you into that building, I was worried you weren't able to make it out! I'm glad you're alright!" Yugo answered. "Well, I can't say the same about you!" Zuzu was ready to smack him with her paper fan, which she was already holding in her hand.
"Umm, let's forget about that for now, okay?" Yuya said as he tried to get Zuzu to calm down and put her fan down. "Yugo! We're going to go in now! Make sure you can see us while keeping your distance!" "Gotcha!" Yugo replied. "Let's go guys!" On Yuya's words, the group went in.
Dimensional Transporter - Sector Security Headquarters - New Domino City - Synchro Dimension
The five duelists from the Fusion Dimension were still in shock and exhaustion after the events that just happened. Lady Minerva and Hydromancy were exhausted by the events of shutting down the machine, while Yuri, Madame Chaos, and Celina were still wondering what they just saw.
"Celina!"
Three shurikens came in-between Madame Chaos, Yuri, and Celina, waking them all up from their stupor. They all got distance from each other, as Shay, Declan, and Moon Shadow stood protectively in front of Celina.
"Well, well, so the gallant knights have come to defend the feisty princess." Yuri commented while clapping. Declan prepared his Duel Disk. "We aren't handing Celina over to you."
"Ah, so we finally meet face-to-face, Declan Akaba. It's a pleasure." Madame Chaos said in amusement. "Perhaps I should be flattered, but I'm not. As I'm sure you've been informed; I will stop my father's ambition." Declan said calmly as he adjusted his glasses. "Precisely why we have to beat you senselessly. Even though she saved us, that won't excuse you from getting a reprimanding from your dad." "We aren't planning to go back empty-handed you know." Yuri replied as he and Madame Chaos activated their Duel Disks.
"How about we have a two on one duel? With all players being unable to declare an attack on their first turn?"
"Very well. Let's do this." Declan agreed to the terms of Madame Chaos' suggestion.
"Girls, stay out of this and on standby." Madame Chaos ordered Hydromancy and Lady Minerva, who both gave their confirmation. "Understood!"
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
[Let's duel!]
"Ladies first, boys! I'll place a monster facedown in Defense Mode! Then I'll place a facedown and end my turn!" Madame Chaos quickly ended her turn.
"It's my turn!" Yuri declared as he drew a card. "I think I'll bring out my Predaplant Cephalotusnail(ATK: 1300/DEF: 1200/LV: 4). This wonderful plant can't be destroyed in battle and cuts the damage I take in half. I think I'll follow Madame Chaos' example by setting one card facedown to end my turn." As Yuri ended his turn, he turned expectantly to Declan. "Now then, let's see what you've got."
"My turn! I'm setting the Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 D/D Savant Copernicus(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 4/PS: 1) and D/D Cerberus(ATK: 1800/DEF: 600/LV: 4/PS: 6). I Pendulum Summon! Now I can summon as many level 2 through 5 monsters as I see fit! The energies of the universe swing between the forces of darkness and of light. I shall now harness the power of this eternal oscillation. I Pendulum Summon and call upon my two monsters to emerge! D/D Berfomet(ATK: 1400/DEF: 1800/LV: 4). And D/D Ghost(ATK: 600/DEF: 300/LV: 2).
Next I summon D/D Necro Slime(ATK: 300/DEF: 300/LV: 1)." Declan's pink slime that resided in a goat skull appeared.
"Level 1 D/D Ghost now tunes level 4 D/D Berfomet and level 1 D/D Necro Slime! Now behold as a new power emerges, cutting through the darkness like a blade of lightning to begin his reign! I Synchro Summon D/D/D Gust King Alexander(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/LV: 10)!
I activate my D/D Ghost's special ability to send my second D/D Berfomet from my deck to the graveyard. Then I activate D/D Necro Slime's ability from the graveyard. By banishing it and D/D Ghost, I can Fusion Summon a D/D/D monster. And the one I'm choosing is a scorcher! Begone Necro Slime and Ghost and give rise a monster that burns bright with blazing power! I Fusion Summon! D/D/D Flame King Genghis(ATK: 2000/DEF: 1500/LV: 6)!
I activate Gust King Alexander's special ability! Whenever a D/D monster is summoned, my Gust King can command another D/D monster to rise up from the graveyard, as it will now! Return to me D/D Berfomet! But why stop at one? Flame King Genghis can resurrect my other D/D Berfomet.
Next, I overlay my two D/D Berfomets in order to build the Overlay Network! I promise you have never faced a monster as magnificent or commanding as this one! I Xyz Summon D/D/D Wave King Caesar(ATK: 2400/DEF: 1200/RK: 4)!"
"Pendulum, synchro, fusion, and xyz. This will be enjoyable. And very interesting." Madame Chaos observed with intrigue and an impressed tone. This was shared by Yuri, as he grinned with anticipation.
"I place two cards facedown and end my turn."
Meanwhile, Moon Shadow was tending to Celina's wounds. "Do you feel better, Celina?" "Yeah, thanks Moon Shadow. What about the others?" "Don't worry, they'll be here soon." Shay assured her. "But what exactly happened here?"
"Roget wanted to take me back to Duel Academy to use me as a bargaining chip to clear his name. But then those four prevented him from doing so. The one in the robe and hood, Lady Minerva, dueled Roget and creamed him. Afterward, Roget tried to send everyone plummeting into various dimensions with this dimensional transporter." Celina pointed to the machine beside them all.
"But unfortunately for him, he was the only one sent away before any of that happened." Lady Minerva told them as she joined the conversation. "Celina may have saved Yuri and our mistress, but it didn't really work to your advantage, did it?"
Celina just looked at her hand in questioning concern. "Why did I do that? It was if I had to do so, no matter what." "I just... had to." She muttered as she looked at her hand.
"Who are you anyway? You don't seem like low-ranking Duel Academy cronies." Shay said as he observed them. Hydromancy answered that. "We are known throughout Duel Academy as the Court of Aces, a collective of the most powerful duelists that directly serve the Professor. I am Hydromancy, the Court's clairvoyant and ritual master. The one in the hood is Lady Minerva, the analytical master and strategist advisor of the group. Madame Chaos' standing is being the top commander of the Chaos Inquisition, which one may call Duel Academy's espionage division. And the one who looks like your friends, Yuya and Yugo, is Yuri. He is the Professor's personal enforcer and his loyalty to him surpasses any of ours."
"He is also the one who captured those dimensional twins of Zuzu and Celina's from here in Synchro and in the Xyz." Lady Minerva revealed, causing Shay to see red. "WHAT?! He's the one who abducted my sister?!" Shay pointed at Yuri, his stoic face quickly transforming into one of rage. Yuri laughed softly, enjoying Shay's face of anger. "You're Lulu's brother? Aren't you the doting one, coming so far to find your precious little sister." Yuri finished his sentence with a soft giggle. "Why I oughta - "
Declan calmly and firmly interrupted the Xyzian. "Calm down, Shay. These aren't the kind of opponents you can lose your temper with. They're on a whole different level than Dennis." Declan then turned toward Shay with a look that silenced and unnerved the Raidraptor duelist. "I will make them spill your sister's whereabouts. So stand down. You have my word." Reluctantly, Shay backed down, protecting Celina in case the worst should happen.
"Now, if the introductions are over, I would like to get back to our duel." Madame Chaos voiced her opinion. "It's my turn now! And I flip summon Shaddoll Hedgehog(ATK: 800/DEF: 200/LV: 3)! And thanks to its special ability, I can add a Shaddoll spell or trap from my deck to my hand." Madame Chaos drew a card from her deck and added it to her hand. "And the card I choose, is Shaddoll Fusion!
And I'm not going to waste any time in activating it! I should thank you for summoning those kings of yours, Declan. Because in order to utilize this Fusion spell's full power, I need my opponent to control monsters from their Extra Deck." This surprised and shocked the Lancers. "I can now use monsters in my deck to Fusion Summon! So, I fuse my Shaddoll Hedgehog on my field with an Aromage Jasmine(ATK: 100/DEF: 1900/LV: 1) in my deck!" Madame Chaos chanted as she opened her fan in front of her face. "O' corrupted light, bring forth a dark maiden of virtuous fury!" Closing her fan in a leftward direction, she declared, "I Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Construct(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2500/LV: 8)!" El Shaddoll Construct arrived on the field in a saint-like manner.
"I think the reasonable thing to do is to attack Caesar, wouldn't it! But I'll end my turn with a repeat of my last one." Madame Chaos said as she set one monster facedown and card facedown. "After all, Yuri needs those monsters too... right?" Madame Chaos then shared a glance with Yuri.
Celina paled as she knew what was coming next. "Oh, no..."
"So true! And now I'm bringing Predaplant Fly Trap(ATK: 400/DEF: 800/LV: 2) to join my menagerie! So you think you know fusion monsters? You don't know a thing! Watch and learn from a true master! Pay attention! With the power of Polymerization, I fuse Fly Trap and Cephalotusnail. Together, they'll bring out the most toxic monster ever seen! I Fusion Summon! The vicious, voracious, and venomous... Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!"
"Declan! Be careful of that dragon!" Celina warned him.
"Your warning comes too late! Because now my Starving Venom gains attack points equal to all of his kings! Insatiable Hunger!" Starving Venom activated its special ability and grew in power.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 2800 = 9700/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
"It has 9700 attack points?!" Shay exclaimed in horror and shock. Moon Shadow shared the feeling. "Declan would instantly lose!"
"Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, dethrone Flame King Genghis! Toxic Roots Blast!" Starving Venom fired its green energy stream at Flame King Genghis.
Declan quickly jumped to the side as the red and purple lightning closed in on Genghis before the blast did. "I play the Action Spell Damage Banish! Your attack won't hurt me!" Genghis was destroyed by the energy blasts, but Declan didn't take any damage.
"Survival thru an Action Card, huh? No matter, it just means more fun for us! So now, I'll end my turn." Yuri concluded with a smirk.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(ATK: 9700 = 2800/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
"We'll see about that!" "Declan, wait!" Celina interrupted Declan's turn. "You can't take out Starving Venom! If it's destroyed, all the monsters on your side of the field will be too, and all their attack points will be dealt as damage!" This revelation shocked Moon Shadow and Shay.
"Thanks for the info, so I now know what to expect! And to start, I'm activating my spell, Deceitful Dark Contract with the War Deity. Now my Caesar gains 1000 attack points and can wash away your monsters, while your Construct powers down!" Caeser gained 1000 attack points while Construct lost that same amount.
D/D/D Wave King Caesar(ATK: 2400 = 3400/DEF: 1200/RK: 4)
El Shaddoll Construct(ATK: 2800 = 1800/DEF: 2500/LV: 8)
"Now Wave King Caesar! Attack! Take down her doll with Tidal Torrent!" Caesar charged at El Shaddoll Construct with its blade raised.
"Sorry to say, but you fell right into my real trap!" Madame Chaos declared, shocking the Lancers. "When my lovely doll battles a special summoned monster, it is instantly destroyed before the battle can begin! Go Devout Prayer!" El Shaddoll Construct then assumed a praying form with her hands as purple strings emerged from her back and struck down Caesar.
"And to make sure you can't use your other king to attack, I'm utilizing my two facedowns! A pair of Nightmare Wheels!" Two nightmarish wheels appeared and latched themselves to Alexander.
"I know that your Contracts all have a penalty of 1000 life points at the start of your turns, so for an extra punishment, my wheels will strip you of 500 life points each and prevent you from using your windbag of a ruler to battle or change battle modes!"
"... Then I'll have to end my turn." Declan said calmly, with a hint of irritation in his voice, as he set a card. "For someone who you dueled for the first time, you seem to know a lot about my deck."
D/D/D Wave King Caesar(ATK: 3400 = 2400/DEF: 1200/RK: 4)
El Shaddoll Construct(ATK: 1800 = 2800/DEF: 2500/LV: 8)
Declan's accusation earned a small chuckle from the Court. "That's because we have data on all duelists that Duel Academy ever faced! Our database updates with every battle, so we did our research and learned about your cards. So now we can predict all of your moves!" Madame Chaos proclaimed. "But... I'll admit. This has been the first time me and Yuri have been excited in dueling in a while. It's been a hard-pressed matter to find duelists that give you an actual challenge when you're the best of the best. But I guess you being a challenge is to be expected from the Professor's son."
Declan just shrugged off that praise. "I would appreciate it that you don't rope me in with Leo Akaba. We are only related in the genetic sense and nothing else."
"I can see that the no nonsense aspect runs in the family too. But either way, it doesn't matter, it's my turn!" Madame Chaos concluded from the facts as she began her turn. "And because my turn has begun, you now take 1000 points of damage!"
DECLAN LP: 4000 = 3000
"I'll repay that by activating Contract of Eternal Darkness!" The trap's activation created a heavy black mist that darkened the field. "Who turned out the lights?!"
"While this Contract is active, you are locked out of summoning from your Extra Deck, and for the coup de grace, you're not allowed to target any monsters with any spells or traps. But just as my other Contracts, I will take 1000 points of damage every time my turn begins."
"So that limits our ability to summon new monsters and gives you some extra insurance that we can't destroy your Alexander. Not bad." Yuri said with an impressed look, but still retained his usual smile.
"But it won't matter!" Madame Chaos declared. "First, I'll flip my facedown monster to trigger its effect! And it's Aroma Jar(ATK: 500/DEF: 400/LV: 1)! With it, I gain 500 life points every time a turn ends! And as a bonus, it can't be destroyed in battle when it was flipped face up!"
"I'll end my turn with two facedowns! Oh, and since the turn is over, I gain 500 life points thanks to Aroma Jar's fragrance!" The scents emitting from Aroma Jar encircled Madame Chaos, increasing her life points.
MADAME CHAOS LP: 4000 = 4500
"Then it's my turn!" Yuri declared as he drew a card. "As my first step, I play my trap Dark Seed Planter! Now all your monsters are treated as DARK monsters!" A black haze covered Alexander. "Also, if any of your monsters battles one of our DARK attributed monsters, I'm sorry to say that that battle is negated."
This caused some irritation from the Lancers. "That's gonna limit to what monsters Declan can attack." Shay commented.
"I admit that trap of yours is a smart move, but utterly useless against this. By discarding one of my cards to the graveyard, I can activate the Fusion spell known as Super Polymerization! With this, I can fuse any monsters on the field, including the ones you control!"
The Lancers were all in shock. "Declan's monsters as well?" Moon Shadow said in an astonished tone.
Declan was surprised as well, but then recomposes himself. "Haven't you forgotten my Contract? You can't activate your spell."
"Sorry~! But once Super Polymerization is played, it can't be stopped!" Lady Minerva interjected in a singsong tone, as Declan saw that Contract of Eternal Darkness was canceled out on his Duel Disk.
"Now which monster should I fuse my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon with?" Yuri said in a sarcastic wondering tone. "Ah, yes. The only monster Declan has, Gust King Alexander!" The two monsters swirled together in the multi-colored vortex as Yuri began chanting. "By combining the darkest, devious powers of nature, the result is an utter nightmare! I Fusion Summon, Predaplant Dragostapelia(ATK: 2700/DEF: 1900/LV: 8)." The nightmarish dragon-like plant appeared with a high-pitched cry that sounded horrifying.
"And now, Dragostapelia! Melt down Declan with Acidic Aroma!" Dragostapelia began to spew green acid that smelled like rot toward Declan, who moved to get an Action Card.
Declan was able to get one just before the attack connected. "I play Evasion! Your attack will miss its mark!" The activation was just in time, as the acid hit the wall behind Declan, melting it.
"Now all your monsters are gone. Whatever will you do now?" Yuri mocked as he ended his turn.
MADAME CHAOS LP: 4500 = 5000
"Shut up! Don't underestimate Declan!" Celina angrily shouted.
"Scary~. But don't get mad at me, if he loses." Yuri said simply. "After all, you used to be one of us, no? He knew what he was getting into. You should understand what we do." Madame Chaos added, fanning herself.
"Not anymore! I'd understand if the opponent knew what they were getting into but carding the innocent when they can't fight back is wrong! And you call yourselves duelists?!" Celina spat back.
"No matter what, the strongest survive and the weak fall. Besides, what does it matter? The only thing you are doing is saving your pathetic pride." Yuri retorted, shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head.
Taking several steps forward, but still standing behind Declan, Celina retorted back, "Don't you dare mock a duelist's pride! It's more important than anything! It's why I have come this far! I fight for what I believe in! That's my pride as a duelist!"
"I won't lie to myself; I'll fight for what I believe in! That's my pride as a duelist!"
Yuri and Madame Chaos gasped as the little girl overlapped with Celina as her words hit them. They felt dizzy and clutched their faces with a free hand as they tried to push it out of their minds. "What is happening?" They simultaneously thought in annoyance.
"She is quite right. And that lack of understanding will cost you!" Declan claimed as his turn began. "But first, my contracts now take their toll."

"Now I can activate a spell card. When my life points are 2000 or below, I can activate D/D/D Contract with Demons! By banishing D/D/D Wave King Caesar and D/D/D Gust King Alexander from my graveyard, I can summon a D/D/D monster. And the one I'm choosing is D/D/D Knowledge King Tomb Conquistador(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 10/PS: 1)!
And now I activate Conquistador's special ability! By sending my Contract of Eternal Darkness to my graveyard, I raise Conquistador's attack points by 1000 until the end of the turn!"

"I hoped you enjoyed that, because it's the only time you'll special summon this turn!" Madame Chaos told them. "I reveal my facedown, El Shaddoll Fusion! I can use monsters on my field or in my hand to Fusion Summon a Shaddoll, even if it's not my turn! So I fuse two of my Shaddoll Beasts(ATK: 2200/DEF: 1700/LV: 5)! I call upon the powers of the darkest of gale winds! Bring forth your fearsome rider and conquer all! I Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Winda(ATK: 2200/DEF: 800/LV: 5)!" Winda arrived riding her dragon in a surfer-like fashion. "And thanks to it, we all can only special summon once a turn! Too bad for you!" Madame Chaos then cackled.
"Sorry, but it won't be enough to stop me!" Declan retorted. "Thanks to my Deceitful Dark Contract with the War Deity, your Dragostapelia is now 1000 attack points weaker, while my Conquistador is 1000 attack points stronger!"

"Tomb Conquistador destroy Predaplant Dragostapelia! Plasmic Pulse Pulverizer!" Purple lightning was shot at the weakened Dragostapelia. "And don't think your trap can save you! Because my Tomb Conquistador is immune to your spell and trap cards when it attacks!"
"Then I'll activate Predaplant Grandiflora's(ATK: 1000/DEF: 2000/LV: 6) special ability! By sending it to the graveyard, my Dragostapelia gains its attack points." Yuri sent a Predaplant that resembled a grandiflora to his graveyard, increasing his dragon-like plant's attack.

"So you limited the damage you'll take by increasing your monster's attack points. Not a bad move." Declan calmly praised as he fixed his glasses.
"Oh, that's not what I was going for." Yuri corrected with a smirk. This confused Declan. "What?"
"Grandiflora has another ability when it's in the graveyard. By banishing my Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, I can add its attack points to my Dragostapelia as well!"
Predaplant Dragostapelia(ATK: 2700 = 5500/DEF: 1900/LV: 8)
Shay was in disbelief. "Was he planning this the whole time?!" "Declan!" Celina called out in concern.
The two monsters' blasts collided and sent a shockwave that created great gusts of wind that made it impossible to move. Because of this, Declan wasn't able to get an Action Card. The struggle between the two was immense. They poured on everything they had. But slowly, Dragostapelia was able to push Tomb Conquistador's lighting blast back. The acid blast eventually shot right through Conquistador, creating a huge explosion and destroying parts of the ceiling.
Declan fell on his back from the explosion. Moon Shadow and Shay protected Celina from the falling debris. Lady Minerva covered her head with her arms to protect herself. Hydromancy held her hat and moved away from the debris by using her staff to know where they would fall.
DECLAN LP: 1000 = 500
Madame Chaos and Yuri both fell on their backs from the explosion. But they quickly got up. Yuri commanded Declan, while on his knee, "Looks like this is game over. End your turn so we can end this!"
With Declan out of options, they were ready to strike the final blow. But then Madame Chaos noticed a spark of electricity. "Umm... Yuri." They all looked at the interdimensional transporter machine as it started to spring back to life as it sparked. "Yuri, you idiot! You overdid it! Now the dimensional transporter's goin' haywire!" Lady Minerva yelled in a panicked-induced anger as a wormhole appeared.
"Guys!"
At that time, Yuya and the others arrived, running towards Declan, Celina, Moon Shadow, and Shay. With Yuya and Zuzu in the vicinity, Zuzu's bracelet activated, emitting a pink glow that teleported Yuri, and strangely Madame Chaos, away.
"They're gone?!" Shay said as he saw his sister's kidnapper and his female compadre disappear. "Never mind them! What's going on here?!" Sylvio asked as he pointed to the wormhole.
"Nothing good I can tell you that!" Lady Minerva answered. "Let's get out of here before we're sent to an unknown dimensional location!" Hydromancy suggested. And with that, the two girls both activated a program on their Duel Disks and teleported away in a blue light.
The wormhole became stronger and stronger. Debris was sucked into it. It took everything for all of them to avoid being sucked in. Unfortunately, Zuzu's feet left the ground, and she was beginning to get sucked in before she realized it.
"Zuzu!" Sora grabbed her hand in an attempt to prevent her from being sucked into the wormhole. But it was unfortunately, not enough and he was sucked in too.
"Zuzu! Sora!" Yuya cried out as he reached out as his friends were carried away. "YUYA!" Zuzu and Sora cried out as they futilely reached out to him.
"ZUZU! SORA!" Yuya's cries were interrupted as he was also pulled into the air. Gong then grabbed him to try and save him. "Don't let go!" Yuya called out.
Seeing that Gong was losing his balance and was struggling to hold his ground, Shay tried to hold him back, followed by Sylvio, and finally Celina. But it wasn't enough as they all were sucked screaming into the wormhole.
After Yuya and the others were sucked in, the wormhole closed, leaving the others speechless.
Crow then asked, "What happened?"
"I'm not sure…" Declan said as Riley helped him up. "But it seems likely Roget's dimensional transporter malfunctioned and created a wormhole."
"A wormhole?" Jack inquired.
"It's a kind of connection through space. Almost like a tunnel between dimensions. But wormholes aren't routes that can be predictably traveled." Declan explained.
Riley then questioned, "So where's Yuya and the others?" Declan theorized, "They were transported to another dimension. But I don't know which one, or if we will ever find out which one." He then narrowed his eyes. "They may be lost forever."
The group then looked at where the wormhole closed, worrying about their friends who were now in an unknown dimension.

Yuya and the others woke up in a ruined area. Before them was a destroyed city and the sky was covered with smoke.
"Whoa! Looks like New Domino City got totally blown away!" Shay then corrected Sylvio as he looked over the city. "We're not in New Domino City." "How do you know?" Gong inquired.
"Because this is my home, or what's left of it. We're in the Xyz Dimension."

That's a wrap for the Synchro Arc! Now begins the Xyz Arc! The duels with Kite between Yuya, Sylvio, and Gong are really good, so I won't be rewriting them like Frost190 did. Instead, I'm just going to rewrite the last part of Kite and Yuya's duel. I'm talking about the interaction between Shay and Kite part.
