Chapters 17: Night Out

Tonight was going to be one heck of a night for a certain group.

Luke had agreed to go have Boys night out with Bow, Sea Hawk and Swift Wind.

Threepio and Artoo were even going with him.

Swift Wind asked, "so this is the first time you do something without your twin?"

Luke replied, "yeah. Me and Leia have done almost everything together since we were little. It'll be weird without them there."

"Not to worry, we boys will have a grand time", Sea Hawk said.

"I hope so", Threepio said.

Artoo bleeped something that made Threepio say, "oh, honestly Artoo. We can't even ingest liquids like that. We're droids!"

"Well, let's go", Luke said.

Fright Zone

Sam was in his and Hordak's room. After the two had become a couple, Sam now slept in Hordak's room.

Sam had heard from Hamill that Hordak and the Horde had attacked Salineas, and it is now under the Horde's control.

And the whole situation didn't sit well with Sam.

Hamill beeped as he sat next to Sam.

"I don't know Hamill, I just thought that Hordak…. Wouldn't do this", Sam said.

Hamill made some chirping noises as Sam said, "I dunno. I mean, I know he's going to change sides. The same goes for Catra and Scorpia. I even know we'll see Entrapta again…. I just wish it was all sooner…."

"Sam."

Antauri then appeared in the room.

"Hi Antauri", Sam said.

Antauri asked, "are you feeling conflicted again?"

Sam sighed and said, "I'm not sure how much longer I can go through this. I love Hordak. More than anything. I know he wants to change. And I know he will! But it's hard to see him and the other friends I've made on this side doing such terrible things!"

Antauri asked, "well haven't you heard that Scorpia left?"

Sam smiled and said, "yes. And for that, I'm thankful she had the brains to figure out which side she should be on sooner than the others have. And the heart to leave the Horde. Seriously, with how she would hug me almost every day, I'm surprised she was even one of the, 'bad guys.'"

"Like I said Sam, Hordak will become a better person, you just need to be patient with him", Antauri said.

"I know, and thanks Antauri", Sam said.

Antauri smiled, and then he faded away.

Sam gave a sad smile as he laid there.

Bright Moon

Leia was walking across the hallways, when she heard what sounded like Glimmer and Adora arguing?

Leia then hid behind a corner and she started to spy on them.

"You think you can just transform into She-Ra, and hit things with your sword, and it will fix everything! Well, guess what: It's not working", Glimmer said angrily.

"Why are you blaming this all on me? It's not my fault that Salineas fell! The Horde manipulated all of us", Adora yelled.

"She-Ra was supposed to save us. But the Rebellion's in a worse place than ever since you showed up", Glimmer yelled.

Leia glared at Glimmer, how dare she say things like that to Adora!

'Glimmer has become more arrogant', Leia thought.

Adora said, upset, "I'm trying my best. Why can't you see that?"

"Well, maybe your best isn't good enough. If it was, my mother would still be here", Glimmer yelled.

Adora was silent for a moment, and then started to sob. Her cries echoed across the room as Glimmer slowly started to look remorseful.

Leia then snapped after hearing that.

With the use of Force Speed, Leia ran up to Glimmer…. And slapped her across the face!

Adora shouted in surprise, "Leia!"

Leia growled, "how DARE you! Adora has been doing her best to save your butts ever since she joined your side! She's been fighting her old friends! And you dare to blame her for losing your mother?! It wasn't her fault! And you know what!? At least you HAD a mother to lose! I never even knew my mother! I never got to see her face, or hug her, or get kisses, or have her hold me when I'm sad or hurt, or have her cook dinner, or play with me, or wish me good night, or tell me she loved me! I NEVER had a mother! At least you HAD one! So don't you DARE blame Adora for any of this!"

Leia just began to sob after pouring her heart out like that. Adora slowly bent down and hugged the girl as she sobbed into her shoulder.

"Leia…. Adora….", Glimmer said as he tried to approach them, but Adora glared at her.

"Just leave us alone", Adora said.

Glimmer gave a remorseful look as she walked away, leaving Adora to hold Leia in her arms.

She said, "it's okay Leia. It's okay."

Leia sobbed, "thank you…. Mom."

Adora was surprised for a moment, before closing her eyes as a tear of joy went down her face as she continued to hug Leia.

Then Mermista opened the doors!

"The boys are in trouble! A seagull told me! I may have lost my kingdom, but I'm not losing anyone else", Mermista said.

"Well, I did say to Luke, Sea Hawk was nothing but trouble", Adora said.

And thus, the girls set off to save the boys...

Fright Zone

Hordak had just come back to the Fright Zone and went into his and Sam's room, but he wasn't there.

Hordak called out, "Sam?"

Hamill was on the bed.

Hordak asked, "Hamill, where is Sam?"

Hamill bleeped as he pointed in a direction.

Hordak then started to follow Hamill.

Hordak was outside of the base and at the top of one of the buildings.

He soon saw Sam leaning over the railing as he was watching the horizon.

Hordak made his way up the building until he was standing right behind Sam.

Hordak asked, "Sam? Sam? What's wrong? Are you alright?"

Sam remained quiet as he stared upon the horizon.

Hordak asked, "Sam, what's wrong?"

Sam still didn't respond.

Hamill then jumped on Sam's shoulder and beeped.

Hordak said, "Sam, please talk to me. Did I do something wrong?"

Sam closed his eyes as he took a very deep sigh.

"I heard what you and the Horde did….", Sam said.

Hordak grew a surprised look as he said, "I was just doing the Hordes work! It's our job! We conquer!"

Sam turned to Hordak and yelled, "WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO! Hordak, I know there is good in you…. But you can't prove it if you keep going down this path..."

Hordak said, "what am I supposed to do? I have my orders-"

Sam said, "for once, can you think about something other than following your orders? You know what the future holds! The question is, are you ever going to work to make it reality, or are you gonna keep pushing it aside!?"

Hordak stared at Sam with sympathy but he didn't respond.

"Well, looks like I have my answer", Sam said as he started to walk away.

"Sam, wait", Hordak said as he grabbed his arm.

Sam looked at Hordak with anger and said, "you need to choose Hordak. I can't keep sitting by and watching my friends and family fighting one another. Not again!"

Sam then shoved off Hordak as he ran off.

Hordak was feeling shocked, confused, and sad.

Hordak looked at the horizon and said, "what do I do? I want to change... But after everything I've done... How and when can I?"

….

Bright Moon

Luke shouted, "Glimmer said those things to Adora!?"

Threepio said, "how could she?!"

Artoo beeped his enraged agreement.

Adora said, "everyone calm down. She's just mad. You would be too after everything that's happened. It doesn't make what she says right, but I understand it."

"No, Glimmer has become more arrogant…. Since she became queen", Leia said.

"Kinda like how the Jedi were during the clone wars", Luke said.

Adora said, "she needs to learn some humility that she used to have when she was simply Princess Glimmer."

"If Glimmer keeps going down this path…. She may end up having the same fate as the Jedi at the end of the Clone Wars", Luke said.

Adora said, "we're not gonna let that happen. Even if she's being difficult, she's still our friend. Our family…."

….

Sam was at the Jedi Temple with Hamill. He decided he would need time away from Hordak.

Sam sighed in sadness as he walked inside the temple.

Hordak was away on a mission and he said he would be gone for a while.

Twilight asked, "hello my friend, what brings you here today?"

Sam sighed and said, "Hordak and I are having issues. He's still doing bad things, even though he knows he can and will do good! But it seems like he and Catra still can't decide on what to do. Do you mind if we stay here for a while?"

Twilight said, "not at all. This temple is a home for all Jedi in need."

Sam smiled and said, "thank you."

Twilight then led them to a room, and to Sam's surprise it was clean and looked new.

"I have been cleaning the temple in my spare time, and this here can be your room during your stay here", Twilight said.

"Thank you Twilight", Sam said.

"Anything for a friend", Twilight said with a smile.

Sam chuckled and said, "I have so many friends, and her things are so complicated. I just keep wondering what it's gonna take for Hordak and Catra to realize they need to change."

Twilight replied, "I remember a quote from many years ago. Jedi Master Mignola once said, 'it can take the worst situation to change minds.'"

Sam asked, "was that one of the Jedi masters who lived on Etheria?"

Twilight said, "yes. A very kind soul. He believed that things would always get better, after they hit their darkest moment. I believe that the same could be said for your friends within the Horde."

"Hmm…. One day I will ask you to give me the names of the Jedi who lived on Etheria", Sam said.

Twilight smiled.

"I'm going to go to sleep now", Sam said.

Twilight then left the room.

Sam then laid on his bed. It felt odd to sleep without Hordak beside him.

Sam sighed as he said, "good night Hordak…."

….

Back in his room at the fortress, Hordak was laying on his side of the bed.

He looked at the empty spot and whispered, "good night Sam…."

SuperSentai199: I'm glad you liked it. And yeah, same here. I kept trying to get to my pm's and such, but I ultimately had to use the app! I deleted the app as soon as the site issues were fixed though, since I MUCH prefer using the site on desktop mode online.

A shorter chapter than usual, but still an emotional one, if I do say so myself. The titles of certain chapters are meant to show when these chapters take place in the show, so if anyone's confused about the timeline, it's all in the titles.
