Alexis' backstory was so good, I decided not to rewrite it. After all, it was a pretty good one.
You Show Duel School - City - Fusion Dimension
"No way. Mr. Sakaki." Zuzu was in shock that Yuya's father was the one in charge of the underground duel school.
Yusho formed the same level of shock and surprise that Zuzu had. In his eyes, he momentarily saw a little version of Zuzu from when he last saw her three years ago. "Aren't you... Zuzu?"
"I can't believe it. It's really you." Zuzu started to tear up. "You're all right. You're all right!" Zuzu ran over to his side and started to cry in his arm. "We've all been so worried about you! Yuya and Yoko... My dad, too!" A few You Show students looked on from the doorway with Sora and Alexis as they watched the reunion.
"Oh, Zuzu... Please don't cry." Yusho smiled and stroked Zuzu's hair as he comforted her. "Remember what I taught you: Cheers, not tears." Zuzu's sobbing grew slower as she got a hold of herself.
"You've been gone so long. Where have you been?" Yusho retracted his hand as he wearily answered, "Now that's longer than a dragon's tail. I was bouncing thru dimensions, one to the next..." "Like the Xyz Dimension?!" Zuzu asked. "Ah, it seems you know more than I thought you did. Yes, I did end up there. In fact, that's where I ended up first."
"Then why are you here now?" Sora's question caused Yusho to narrow his eyes as he remembered. "Well... Now that's another story. Or should I say, another boy..."
Three Years Ago - Leo Corporation - Paradise City - Standard Dimension
Yusho then told Zuzu and Sora what had happened over the last three years. "Three years ago, Declan ventured across dimensions to find his dad..." Yusho then told them that Declan discovered that his father had planned to invade the other dimensions like a conqueror to create a supreme world.
After Leo had sent him back to the Standard, Declan vowed to stop him no matter what. "And when Declan sets his mind on something, he always follows through. Even if that meant hacking into his dad's files."
"I can't believe it." Declan muttered as he looked at a diagram of the dimensions and the plan for the Arc Area Project on his father's computer. "It's true." Declan got up from the desk and looked out the glass window wall behind him, placing a hand on it. "My father is really trying to combine the four dimensions into one... by invading and conquering each dimension.
I have to stop him. And I will... by utilizing the full resources of Leo Corporation. I will raise an elite force..." As Declan made his promise, he clenched the hand he had on the window wall into a fist. Then he turned to the other person in the room. "... and Yusho, you will lead my Lancers to defeat him into submission! It's our only hope of saving the universe from my father!"
"Poor Declan. His heart was filled with such anger, abandonment, betrayal. But sometimes a child doesn't know his dad as well as his friend does. After spending many long years building the ARC System together. I thought I knew his dad better than he did. So, I believed there was another option. A better option than attacking Leo. The Leo I knew would listen to reason. So, if I could just talk to him directly, I could convince Leo to stop the invasions.
I know I taught you that lying is wrong, Zuzu, but I said that I would team up with him. That allowed me to gain access to Leo Corporation's transporter. Without a moment to waste, I used it to teleport across dimensions, having to leave my dimension, having to leave Yuya behind."
Present - You Show Duel School - City - Fusion Dimension
"Then that was the day..." Yusho confirmed Zuzu's guess. "Yes, the day I was supposed to defend my title against the Sledgehammer."
This caused Zuzu to cover her mouth and cry at that fact. "Poor Yuya. All those years, everyone teasing him... He never knew... He still doesn't know... why his father disappeared."
Yusho continued the rest of the story with a frown. "But maybe I should've studied up more on teleporter technology, because instead of teleporting to Duel Academy, I ended up in an entirely different dimension, the Xyz Dimension. You know, for teleporting to the wrong place, it was actually quite nice." He remembered Kite, Allen, and Saya as he stated that it was quite nice to live there. "Until Duel Academy invaded." He then bitterly remembered the destruction he was forced to witness.
Zuzu and Sora then told Yusho about what had gone on since then. "Guess that's why Declan's now leading the Lancers against Duel Academy." "And get this pops, Yuya's one of them." That greatly surprised Yusho. Then suddenly, he suffered a spasm in his leg.
"Mr. Sakaki, it's time for your treatment." A girl said as she entered with another girl. "Okay?" "Already?" As Yusho reached for his cane, Zuzu tried to help him, but he silently warded her away with his hand and allowed the girls to escort him away.
"Alexis, do you know why's he limping?" Zuzu asked. "He was injured in a duel with Duel Academy." Alexis told her as she watched worryingly.
"Why are they doing this? Why is Duel Academy invading all these places and hurting people?" Zuzu asked. Alexis explained, "This is gonna sound crazy, because it is crazy. They're convinced the only way to bring peace to the universe is by making war." Sora continued, "The Professor's super-special Arc Area Project is really out there."
Zuzu was surprised at this. "I can't believe people are okay with this!" "The Professor said we'd be uniting the four dimensions into one. It sounded great, like we'd be peacekeepers. In reality, the Professor wanted to conquer the other dimensions to rule over them. To tell you the truth, when they didn't pick me to go on the first mission, I was bummed out. But I was the lucky one."
Alexis remembered being at Duel Academy; seeing Duel Academy students standing in a cross; blue-jacketed students making up the front arm; red-jacketed students making up the bottom arm, and yellow-jacketed students forming the side arms. Then she remembered how she learned the truth.
Past - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
It was after the invasion force had returned. Four students in red jackets conversed with each other. "So, how many of them did you get?" "It was 25, easy!" The second student replied. The first student replied with a laugh, "I rounded up 30... I win!" "The coolest part was when they tried to run, and we had to hunt them down!" The third student commented with enthusiasm. "I hope we don't have to wait long for our next raid!" The fourth told his friends.
Off to the side, under a stone awning, Alexis was talking with a purple-haired girl in a red jacket. "C'mon, cheer up. What's the matter? You should be out there celebrating like everyone else who went on the mission." "I can't celebrate." The purple-haired girl claimed. "Not after what I saw and not what we did."
Two students (who resembled Bastion Misawa and Zane Truesdale from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX) laughed jovially as they passed by them. Once they were out of earshot, Alexis asked, "What happened there?" "Every single person was turned into cards!" "Hold on, we don't do that. You must've been seeing things." Alexis tried to calm the girl who seemed to be severely dramatized by their actions in the Xyz Dimension.
"Maybe the stress got to you." "I know what I saw!" The girl told Alexis as she threw the latter's hands off her shoulders. "Huh?"
"When our platoon arrived in the Xyz Dimension, we were ordered to turn everybody into cards. Even the civilians!" Alexis' eyes widened in shock. "Civilians?"
"Yes! They attacked everyone, Alexis! No one was sparred, not even children! We weren't sent there to bring peace. Our mission was to take everyone down! What did they make me do, Alexis?" The traumatized girl tearfully asked a floored Alexis. "What did they make me do?"
Grabbing Alexis by her arms, the girl shook her. "I can't stay here anymore! We have to escape together." Alexis was stunned as the girl leaned her head against Alexis' chest. "Leave... Duel Academy?" "We have to! Or we'll be forced to attack more innocent people!"
"That night, my friend and I left Duel Academy. I was still in a state of shock. It's not easy when everything you thought you believed in turns out to be a lie. In my heart, I knew everything my fired had told me was true. We had to get as far away from the Professor and Duel Academy as possible! And we thought we did."
"Where do you think you're going?"
As they disembarked the speedboat they used for their getaway to get to the city, Alexis and the purple-haired girl were caught by the Juvenile Officers, who shone a bright spotlight on them with their Armor Canine - Bullcopters.
"Hope you two runaways had a nice joy ride, because your next trip isn't going to be so pleasant."
"I'll hold them off! Alexis, run!"
As the girl rushed forward, the Juvenile Officer that spoke activated the Human Sealing Technology on his Duel Disk without a blink. "He turned her into a card, just like that." Alexis was horrified at the action when the card fluttered down to her feet and her friend's image appeared on it. "I thought I was next.
But I couldn't have been more wrong." Performapal Sky Magician then appeared and used his rings to destroy the Bullcopters, alerting Alexis. He then blasted the three Juvenile Officers into the sea with his rings, before disappearing as Yusho stood there, wearing an Xyz Dimension Duel Disk.
"I was saved. Yusho Stopped them!"

"Yusho sure knows how to make an entrance, doesn't he?" Zuzu commented as she emerged from washing up. She now had a sleeveless white shirt with a pink pad over her chest and shoulders, a pink skirt and a white belt with white boots. She was also drying her hair with a towel. By then, Sora and Alexis were sitting at a table.
"I guess you could put it that way. He passed out right in front of me." Zuzu took a seat as Alexis continued to explain. "Hold on, you mean he was already hurt?"
"Yeah, he hid it well, but he was in pretty bad shape." Alexis lamented. "It took everything I had to bring him back here. We did our best to help him but..." Alexis sadly closed her eyes. "Yusho's still not 100%." Zuzu and Sora looked sadly at the table.
Alexis then glanced sadly at the students dueling. "You see all of them over there? They all used to attend the Academy too. But like me, they couldn't stand what the Professor's doing. It took guts to leave that school. That's why Mr. Sakaki and I started the You Show Duel School. To not only give 'em a safe haven, but also to remind them that dueling is always — and always will be — for fun. To make people smile."
Alexis then looked at Sora. "Why did you leave Duel Academy? Did something happen change your mind and switch sides?" "To be honest, it wasn't an easy choice. Duel Academy raised me, but in the end, I just couldn't stand losing my first real friends." Sora said in a sincerely, but uneasy, tone.
"Sora..." Zuzu smiled softly at Sora.
Alexis stood up and walked over to them. "If we can get enough students to see things our way, we can stop Duel Academy in its tracks!" "That's awesome! You can count me in 110%, Alexis! Nothing's going to stop us!" Zuzu said as she took Alexis' hands into her own. Sora joined in and pointed to himself with his thumb. "You can count me in as well!" Alexis smiled. "Thanks. The more people, the better!"
"We got trouble!"
The moment was interrupted by two students, a boy and a girl, suddenly ran in supporting another girl. "What happened?" Alexis asked them as they lowered the girl to the ground.
"We were helping this girl out when all of a sudden we got ambushed." The boy told them. The girl added, "We were the only ones who made it out!"
Harbor - City - Fusion Dimension
Five You Show Duel School students were lying on the ground, beaten. Their bodies trembled from the injuries they received that immobilized them.
"Hmm... I guess that was the extent of your abilities." Dennis commented as he held a student he carded. "I thought by killing some time here, I would get some idea on where this so-called "duel school" was. But I guess I was setting the bar too high.
Oh, well. Even though your friends managed to get away with that escapee, you won't. So it looks like the show's over." Dennis moved to press the button in his dark, blue-trimmed white body Duel Academy Duel Disk to card them.
"Hold it!"
Sora, Zuzu, and Alexis arrived, surprising Dennis. They stood protectively in front of the students he defeated.
"Zuzu and Sora?! This is unexpected! I never thought you would be here of all places." Dennis said enthusiastically while smiling.
"You know him?" Alexis asked the two of them.
"He was sent as an undercover agent to spy on the Lancers until Shay revealed his true colors!" Zuzu revealed, staring warily at Dennis.
Dennis redeployed his red Duel Disk blade. "What perfect timing! I can take you to Duel Academy myself, Zuzu!" Zuzu got Sora's Standard Duel Disk ready.
"I don't think so!" Sora placed his hand in front of Zuzu. "Zuzu, you and Alexis take these guys back to the school! I'll deal with Dennis!"
"I don't have any business with you, Sora." Dennis said dismissively to Sora. "You do now! Duel Academy's not getting Zuzu without going through me!" Sora activated his Duel Disk while Alexis and Zuzu helped the students get up.
"Be careful, Sora!" Zuzu told the boy. "We'll be back to back you up." Alexis added as they walked away with the students.
Dennis sighed as he saw Sora's firm eyes. "I guess I'll oblige since you're so insistent. If I knew it would be like this, I would've brought a backup myself. To be completely honest, I am feeling a bit bad at this. You know, since you saved my bacon back in the Synchro Dimension. But you brought this on yourself." "Doesn't matter. I watched your duel with Shay, so I know a lot about your deck."
[Let's duel!]
"First turn is mine! And I'm starting it off by activating Toy Vendor! By discarding my Fluffal Wings(ATK: 100/DEF: 100/LV: 1), I can insert a coin into my machine to draw a card. And if it's a monster that's level 4 or below, I can summon it." A happy face coin went into the vendor machine behind Sora, causing the crank to go down. Sora drew a card and revealed it. "I drew level 3 Fluffal Bear(ATK: 1200/DEF: 800/LV: 3)." Sora summoned his adorable pink bear with wings from a ball capsule.
"With Polymerization, I'll fuse my Bear with my Edge Imp Sabres(ATK: 1200/DEF: 800/LV: 3). Edge of sharpness and fury of bear! When the two come together, you had better beware! I Fusion Summon! Frightfur Bear(ATK: 2200/DEF: 1800/LV: 6)!" Sora summoned one of his frequently used fusion monsters. Dennis whistled at the Fusion Summon.
"I'll end my turn with a facedown." Sora concluded.
"My turn! I use Scale 2 Performage Bubble Gardna(ATK: 800/DEF: 2000/LV: 4/PS: 2) and Scale 5 Performage Candy Crafter(ATK: 500/DEF: 1000/LV: 2/PS: 5) to set the Pendulum Scale! Now I can summon monsters that are levels 3 and 4 all at the same time! I Pendulum Summon! First up is Performage Hat Tricker(ATK: 1100/DEF: 1100/LV: 4). Then the red-hot performer, Performage Flame Eater(ATK: 1200/DEF: 1600/LV: 4)!
But they won't be around for long, 'cause I overlay Hat Tricker and Flame Eater! Direct your gaze to the skies above, as I present to you a swinging star performer! I Xyz Summon Performage Trapeze Magician(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)!" Trapeze Magician appeared by using its staff to swing onto the battlefield like a trapeze.
"Go Trapeze Magician! Swing your way over and take out Frightfur Bear!" Dennis ordered his monster to attack.
"Don't think so! I play De-Fusion! So I can resummon the monsters I used to Fusion Summon for some defense!" Sora sent his Bear back to his Extra Deck, allowing him to summon its fusion materials back in Defense Mode.
"Then I'll just destroy your Edge Imp Sabres!" Trapeze Magician kicked the Edge Imp monster, but since it was in Defense Mode, it didn't harm Sora at all.
"Guess I'll set two cards to end my turn."
"It's my turn now! I'm discarding another Fluffal Wings to get me another goodie." Another coin was inserted into the machine. Sora drew another card as the crank went down. "Look at that! I drew Fluffal Owl(ATK: 1100/DEF: 1000/LV: 2), which means I get to add Polymerization to my hand!
But I'm not done drawing yet! 'Cause by banishing both of my Fluffal Wings, I get to draw two more cards! And by destroying my Toy Vendor, I get to draw another card!" Sora made five consecutive draws in one turn.
"Five consecutive draws?!" Dennis couldn't contain his surprise.
"Yeah. Now I'm activating the nightmarish spell, Edge Nightmare! So I can get Edge Imp Sabres back from the graveyard!" Sora revived his Edge Imp Sabres.
"I fuse Fluffal Owl, Edge Imp Sabres, and Fluffal Bear! Bird of prey, edge of sharpness, fury of bear, when the three come together prepare for a scare! I Fusion Summon! Frightfur Tiger(ATK: 1900/DEF: 1200/LV: 6)."
"Why summon a monster that has less attack points than my Magician?" Dennis mocked, but he was puzzled by Sora's action.
Sora smiled at Dennis, indicating he had a plan. "Because my Tiger can cut up as many cards up to the number of monsters I used to Fusion Summon it!" "What?!" "And I'm choosing to destroy your pendulum cards and Magician!"
Dennis could only watch as Frightfur Tiger's belly scissors elongated and cut his Trapeze Magician and his pendulum cards in half.
"Frightfur Tiger! Let's cut him down!" Sora declared his Battle Phase. "Oh, no! Whatever will I do?!" Dennis panicked.
"Just kidding~! Thanks to your attack I can summon Performage String Figure(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 1)!" String Figure caught the attack and deflected it with two huge arms that came out of his back and wove a string between them. He used the string to block Frightfur Tiger's attack and bounce it back to Sora's side. "Magnificent, isn't it? Not only I don't take any damage, but he's impervious to all your attacks!" String Figure took a bow while holding his hat in his hand.
Sora gritted his lollipop, almost crushing it. "I place two cards facedown and end my turn..."
"Sora, you told me yourself that you would get Celina and Zuzu to the Professor. But instead, you betrayed us. Why?" Dennis asked the blue-haired boy.
Sora went silent before answering. "The Academy did raise me, but I can't give up my friends for our goal. Yuya and Zuzu are my first real friends, and I won't sacrifice them for anything!"
Dennis raised an eyebrow. "You switched sides for something like friendship? How pathetic."
"The only reason I stuck with Duel Academy was because I believed in the Professor's goal. Other than that, I have no ties to it. That place was more of a prison than anything." Sora then remembered all the time he spent there, and how he didn't have a chance to make any friends.
"Yuya and Zuzu became my first real friends and showed me things that truly made me happy! I'm not going to give them up!"
Dennis stiffened as he listened to Sora. He lowered his head so Sora wouldn't see his frown. "A prison, huh...?"
Dennis thought quietly to himself. "He is right. I don't have any connection to Duel Academy other than the Professor's goal either. The only real time I had any fun was when I was sent to the Xyz Dimension. I was entranced by the dueling of one man. Yusho Sakaki. That's when my passion for dueltaining was found. After I found Lulu, I knew the fun would have to end. I didn't think I would experience dueling for fun again until I met Yuya. Dueling with him in the Arc League Chanpionship was the most fun I had since Heartland. In fact, all of my times with the Lancers were fun..."
Dennis tried to shake off the feeling. "No... I just did it on a whim. I only made them for the sake of the Professor, nothing more."
"My turn, I draw! And I summon Performage Magic Tactician(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 1). Next, courtesy of String Figure's special ability, I can Fusion Summon without Polymerization! So, without further ado, I fuse Performage Damage Juggler and String Figure... Let your magic and majesty mix, mingle, merge and become one, one with the power to both delight and destroy! I Fusion Summon! Performage Trapeze Witch(ATK: 2400/DEF: 1800/LV: 7)!
Hehehe, since I'm from Duel Academy, of course I can Fusion Summon! Next up, I play Trapeze Encore! Now I can bring back Trapeze Magician with its overlay units intact by banishing the monsters I used to summon Trapeze Witch!
Sorry, Sora. But this is the last act. 'Cause by using both of Trapeze Magician's overlay units, both of my monsters get to attack twice!" "Say what?!" Sora was surprised at this.
Performage Trapeze Magician(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2 = 0)
"And when Trapeze Witch is on the field when a Performage battles, I can lower the monster its battling by 600 points!" Using their staffs like trapeze to attack, the two Spellcasters kicked Frightfur Tiger, as its attack decreased due to Trapeze Witch emitting stars to weaken it.
Frightfur Tiger(ATK: 1900 = 1300/DEF: 1200/LV: 6)
Frightfur Tiger(ATK: 1300 = 700/DEF: 1200/LV: 6)
"Sorry to disappoint! But I activate the trap Frightfur Festival! Now my Frightfur Tiger can't be destroyed in battle and the damage I take is cut in half!" Sora's Tiger withstood the first dual assault, but Sora's life points took a serious hit.
SORA LP: 4000 = 1100
"Nice trap! But you forget they can attack twice! So you're finished!" "Not happening! Since both of your acrobats attacked this turn, I'm allowed to activate Frightfur Guard. It switches my Tiger to Defense Mode and I gain life points equal to its attack points!"
SORA LP: 1100 = 1800
Even though the circus monsters kicked Frightfur Tiger, it was in Defense Mode so Sora didn't take any damage. "Guess I'll hand it over to you." Dennis concluded his turn.
Frightfur Tiger(ATK: 700 = 100/DEF: 1200/LV: 6)
Frightfur Tiger(ATK: 100 = 0/DEF: 1200/LV: 6)
"You're a dueltainer like Yuya, right? And I've heard you dueled with him. Doesn't that mean anything to you?" Sora asked. "I admit it was fun dueling with him, but it was all on a whim." Dennis replied, voice smooth and straight.
"Really? 'Cause your dueling says otherwise..." "My dueling?" Dennis was confused by what Sora meant.
"All that showing off and cheerfulness. We never learned any of that in the Academy. So I can only guess that you learned from Yusho while you were in the Xyz Dimension. The fact you're still dueltaining, means you are just trying to lie to yourself on how you really feel." Sora explained in a serious tone without a doubt in mind.
Dennis felt unnerved as he remembered again all the fun he had with the Lancers. The happy memories.
Composing himself, Dennis then gave his answer. "That's ridiculous! I'm only dueltaining because it makes things more interesting and makes it easier to blend in with people! Now, as much as I enjoy this debate, can you please start your turn?" Dennis smiled but narrowed his eyes at Sora.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Sora began his turn. "I'm activating the spell known as Fluffal Full Support! By banishing both of my Fluffal Bear and Owl in my graveyard, Frightfur Tiger can attack two times! And that's just what I'm gonna do!" Sora's Frightfur charged at Dennis' monsters.
"You're attacking even though your monster is weaker?!" Dennis exclaimed in surprise.
Sora smiled and showed Dennis the card he just drew. "Thanks to Frightfur Ambush, the damage I'll take is instead dealt to you, and my Tiger can't be destroyed in battle." Frightfur Tiger struck the female Spellcaster with its belly scissors, but she quickly recovered.
DENNIS LP: 4000 = 1600
Dennis clenched his fists as he realized that if Frightfur Tiger attacked again, he would be finished. He didn't have any cards in his hand that could stop the damage, so he gritted his teeth and revealed one of his facedowns. "I'm activating the trap, Mirror Damage! Now we'll both go down, since this trap deals the total attack points of my monsters as damage!" "Say what?!" The collision between Trapeze Magician and Frightfur Tiger created an explosion and a strong shockwave that blew them both away as their Duel ended in a draw.
DENNIS LP: 1600 = 0
SORA LP: 1800 = 0
The whole area was covered in smoke and dust from the impact. Coughing, Dennis looked for Sora, but couldn't find any trace of him after the smoke cleared. Dennis clicked his tongue. "I gotta hand it to Sora, he really knows how to pull off a disappearing act."
Dennis rubbed the back of his head. "Guess it's time to head back to Duel Academy and tell the Professor that Zuzu's here so we can dispatch a squad to hunt her down and the rest of them." With that, he started to walk back.
"The fact you're still dueltaining, means you are just trying to lie to yourself on how you really feel."
Sora's words made Dennis stop in his tracks. He looked down frowning and said in a lowered voice, "That's not true... I'm not lying to myself... right?"
Duel Sanctuary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Yuya and the others were fast asleep. They were all sleeping comfortably beside one another in one room.
Yuya was dreaming of a very strange dream. He was in an unfamiliar park, wearing a small, unfamiliar Duel Disk with a curled pattern on the ends. He was wearing a black shirt, brown pants, and a pair of brown gloves.
He didn't have any control over his body. He realized this when he took out a card. It was Odd-Eyes Dragon, the same card he used before it evolved into Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Placing it on his Duel Disk, the red dragon was summoned. His eyes widened and his jaw fell open as he touched the dragon's head.
"I can touch it." When he touched it again, Odd-Eyes moved its head in response. "I can really touch it!
This is awesome!" He hugged the dragon happily, which started the dragon a bit. But it didn't reject the hug. "This is the best thing ever!
Before I could only hear you guys, now we can really do duels together!" He smiled widely to the point where it felt like it would hurt. "Looks like we have our work cut out for us." Placing his hands on his waist, he huffed while looking at the dragon. "Let's do our best, Odd-Eyes!" As if responding to the words, Odd-Eyes roared softly before it rubbed its head on his hand again.
Yuya woke up with a start. Sitting up, he saw that his ace monster was glowing, along with his pendant.
"You alright Yuya?" Yuto asked him. "Yeah... just had a weird dream... And Odd-Eyes and my pendant are..." Yuya looked at his two cherished possessions as they dimly glowed before returning to normal.
Still looking at his pendant and dragon, Yuya said, "This has happened before..." "Yeah. After my duel with Yugo, both of our dragons lit up, and I was absorbed into you." Yuto recounted.
"Now that I think about it, this pendant was what turned my cards into pendulum cards." Yuya revealed to his counterpart.
"What was that?" Celina turned to Yuya while rubbing her right eye. "Sorry. Did I wake you up?" "Nah, it was a weird dream that woke me." "Same here. A weird dream woke me up too." Yuya chuckled at the coincidence.
"Your pendant and card were glowing..." Celina returned to the subject that caught her attention.
"Yeah, this has happened before. But I don't know why. What I do know is that it is somehow connected to me, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri, and our dragons." "Let's not forget Zuzu's bracelet and mine. Mine seemed to glow when something strange happened to you guys, while Zuzu's teleports them when you're in the vicinity." Celina added while looking at her bracelet curiously. Turning back to Yuya, Celina continued, "This can't be coincidence. There has to be some connection."
"Speaking of which, where did you get your bracelet? Zuzu has had hers since she was born, but where did you get yours?" Yuya asked Celina, who just shook her head. "I don't really know. As far as I can remember, I've always had it and never been without it. For some reason, I feel like it's an important part of me..."
"What about your pendant? Where'd you get it?" "My dad... at least that's what I thought. But now I'm beginning to think it may not have been the case." Yuya extended his pendant for Celina to see.
Taking Yuya's offer, Celina took the pendant into her hand and studied it. But it was just like her bracelet, normal until something happened.
"Pendulum is also... born of purifying light..." Celina suddenly muttered. "What?" Yuya was blinked as he was puzzled. Celina then realized what she said. "Oh, it's just something I think I heard in my dream. But I can't remember what the dream was about."
Others might dismiss such things as superstition, but with all the recent visions, dreams, and other things that happened to them recently, Yuya was open to any possibilities. Plus, Celina was one not to lie, so he took her seriously.
While Yuya thought about these things, Celina's thoughts floated elsewhere. Ever since they arrived in this dimension, she had felt out of place. After all, she was a Duel Academy defector. A fact they haven't shared with the Resistance. "Is it really okay for a former member of Duel Academy like me to be here? While the people of this dimension are barely surviving, the warriors of Duel Academy are celebrating as if they were heroes."
Saya was another issue. The girl always avoided looking at her, no matter what. "And why does Saya keep avoiding me? Is it because I look like Lulu?"
"You okay?" Yuya asked her after noticing her depressed look.
"Yuya... is it really okay for me to be here?" Celina asked after hesitating for a bit. "I know it's a little too late to be asking this, but..."
"Don't worry." Yuya assured her with a kind smile, which Celina couldn't help but return with her own smile. "You and Sora are on our side now. It just shows we can change Duel Academy, if we show that that dueling..."
"Is for making people smile and having fun." Celina finished. "I know." "I'm able to understand a little about what you're trying to do after my duel with Yugo. I just didn't know dueling could be fun until then. The same goes for Duel Academy."
"Thanks, Yuya. I needed that talk. Let's go back to sleep. We've got a lot to do tomorrow." Celina went back to sleep on her futon while bidding Yuya a small goodnight.
Yuya felt relieved that Celina was feeling a little better being here in this dimension. But as he laid back on his futon, her words kept repeating in his mind as he fell asleep.
"Pendulum is also... born of purifying light..."

Fluffal Full Support(Normal Spell): By banishing two Fluffal monsters in the graveyard, one monster you control can attack twice.
Mirror Damage(Normal Trap): If a Performage monster from your Extra Deck battles, inflict the total attack points of all Performage monsters from the Extra Deck that you control as battle damage.
My OC Cards:
Frightfur Guard(Normal Trap): Switch one Frightfur you control to Defense Mode and you gain life points equal to your targeted Frightfur's attack points. Can only be activated if all your opponent's monsters have all attacked once this turn.
