Since the anime only used Saya and Allen to duel only once, I don't see what's wrong with going by Frost190's alteration to their cards. I mean, the only instance of them dueling was against the Tyler Sisters. Giving them cards that have effects to be more versatile in a duel makes sense in this regard.
? - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Somewhere in Heartland, in purple domed technological base that was in a crater, "Late, late, late, late, LATE!" A man shouted while pacing back and forth and looking at a pocket watch he was holding.
He was a short, thin man with red-brown hair in a bowl cut, brown eyes with the bottom eyelashes styled into triangles, stylized eyebrows, and dimpled cheeks. He wore a navy-blue coat with a yellow lining over a red waistcoat and a high-collared black shirt done up with twin columns of brass buttons, in addition to white pants and grey shoes with black soles. The forearms of his coat appeared to be padded and were patterned with yellow lines. He also had thick grey pads of cloth over each shoulder with yellow diamonds on the front that have yellow lines extending from their upper tips. His pocket watch was an old-fashioned one that he wore around his neck on a grey string.
"The Xyz Phase of the Arc-Area Project is currently 3 days, 18 hours and 43 minutes behind schedule!" The man shouted worryingly. "Gah! Make that 44 minutes! The Professor is going to be furious, and he'll take his fury out on me!"
He continued to yell, much to the dismay of his subordinates. "He ordered us to carry out his plans without pause, you slackers, and that's just what we'll do." Pointing at them, he yelled, "Do it, do it, do it!" The subordinates nervously answered, "Yes sir!"
Sighing, the man then said, "I'm known for my 100% efficiency rating, and that's a reputation I will not relinquish."
Looking at an empty chair behind him, he complained, "I'm only behind schedule because my head enforcer is slacking off again — WHERE IS HE?!"
Somewhere outside, a fair-skinned man in a large grey hooded cloak wandered around. His only visible physical traits were that he had dark blue eyes and grey eyebrows.
Stopping for a second, he pulled out a torn in half card and looked at it. "You can't elude me forever... and when I do find you... you'll pay most dearly." The man started walking again and put the card away.

Duel Sancutary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Saya was assisting a woman in handing out soup, but her thoughts were somewhere else since Shay, Celina, Yuya and Yuto's duels with Kite. She was haunted by the regret of her cowardice causing her to lose two of her dearest friends.
"Shay... Yuto... Celina and Yuya. They all tried to help Kite, but all I could do was watch! What kind of friend am I?"
While it did bother her that Celina was a former member of Duel Academy, the fact that she tried to help Kite was enough to convince her that the girl was trying to help them.
"Even though she tried to help Kite, I still can't look Celina in the eye! Formerly of Duel Academy or not, I can't get over that scene of losing Lulu right in front of me because I was scared! And I'm still comparing her to Lulu, I really am the worst!"
"I'll take over for you if you want."
Saya nearly dropped the soup she was handling after being surprised by Celina, who was already beside her before she realized it.
"C-Celina!" Saya exclaimed as she clutched her chest. She almost got a heart attack for the surprise.
"I don't know what's going on, but you've got to get a grip." Celina told her as she took the ladle from Saya's hand and started to hand out the soup. "It's not going to do anyone any good if you can't focus on something while worrying."
Saya just looked down. "I-I'm sorry."
"You really got to stop that..."
"Huh?" Saya was confused by Celina's muttering. Tilting her head in a questioning manner, Saya listened as Celina explained. "Apologizing for every little thing isn't going to help anybody. Sometimes, action is needed more than words."
"But I... I'm not as strong as everyone... I only wind up getting in the way." Saya protested weakly.
"Worrying about what you can and cannot do won't help." Celina replied firmly. "Instead, try to focus on what you want to do." Celina emphasized the 'want' part. "If you can't... then you may lose someone because of your inability." Celina frowned upon remembering what had happened to Tarren and the people of New Domino.
Saya walked away, deep in thought. Celina looked at her sadly. "I may have been too hard. But she needs to get a hold of herself or who knows what'll happen."
Saya was pondering what Celina had told her. "That was harsh, but Celina's right. I can't just keep feeling sorry for myself!" Saya stopped in her tracks. Closing her eyes shut, she slapped her cheeks before opening her eyes.
All of a sudden, Saya ran out of the Duel Sanctuary, catching everyone's attention. Allen, Shay, Yuya, Gong, Sylvio, and Celina quickly dropped what they were doing to see what was going on. After being told that Saya had just rushed outside, everyone went into panic mode.
"Where's she going?" Yuya asked, worried about the girl.
"It's too dangerous for her to be all alone! Let's split up so we can cover more ground." Shay suggested.
"No need. I'll find her myself!" Allen said, using his red rollerboots with orange armor in the front to move about.
"Slow down there!" Yuya said as he got in Allen's way, causing him to brake with his yellow Solid Vision tires. "Get out of my way!" Allen demanded. "Not a chance, Allen! Together we can find Saya faster."
"So far, you're just slowing me down!" Allen snapped. This caused Yuya to flinch in confusion.
"Listen, Yuya, when the going got tough, your dear old dad got up and went... and I'm betting the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. I'm outta here." Allen's bitterness to Yuya took the latter by surprise, who could only watch as Allen sped away on his rollerboots.
"Move it sunflower!" Allen told Sylvio as he nearly hit him. "Watch it buddy!" Sylvio told him as he sped away.
Seeing Yuya's dejected face, Celina narrowed her eyes at Allen's direction and clenched her fists. "When we get back... Allen and I are going to have a talk."
"There's no time for a pity party, Yuya. We need to move out and find Saya before trouble finds her." Shay then gave the orders. "Sylvio, Gong! You check the factory district! Move it!"
Sylvio angrily protested, "Ever hear of the word "please"? And who put you in charge anyway?!"
Ignoring Sylvio's protest, Shay took Celina with him while Yuya went alone. They all then departed to look for Saya.
Streets - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Saya ran through the streets of Heartland. "It's time to change how I do things. Starting now! By doing what the others couldn't do... bring Kite back home to us! And the first place I should look is where he was frequently spotted... the place where his family was sealed into cards!"
"Well, what do we have here?"
Saya stopped in her tracks as she saw the man in the cloak standing on one of the broken buildings. Wary of the man, Saya stuttered to get a reply. "I... umm... you see..."
The man then saw her purple Duel Disk on her left arm. He narrowed his eyes and leapt down in front of Saya, startling her.
"You're a part of the Resistance?"
"Kinda...?" Saya stepped back when the man questioned her.
"So... there are still some left..." The man muttered.
"Saya!" Allen arrived and quickly stood protectively in front of Saya, glaring at the man. "Who are you?! And what do you want with Saya?!"
"Another one, huh?" The man revealed his Duel Disk, a dark blue-trimmed, white bodied Duel Academy Duel Disk with a gold screen border.
"Those that stand against Duel Academy, will be destroyed!" The man proclaimed.
"He's from Duel Academy!" Allen got his Resistance Duel Disk ready. "Saya, run! I'll handle him!"
Saya looked at Allen in surprise. Biting her lip, Saya instead stood in front of Allen and activated her Duel Disk's greenish-yellow blade. That surprised the latter.
"Not going to happen Allen! Celina told me that there's a time to fight and run, and I'm never running again!" "Are you serious?!" Allen was quite surprised by Saya's newfound resolve.
"Fine with me. I'll enjoy taking the both of you down at once!"
[Let's duel!]
"I'll start this off! And for my first move... I'm summoning Ruffian Railcar(ATK: 1800/DEF: 1000/LV: 4)! Here comes the pain train, 'cause if I don't attack with Ruffian Railcar, I can deal 500 points of damage instead." Ruffian Railcar shot two blasts from its headlights on top at the man.

"Attacking on the first turn, not bad. But it won't be enough! I activate Polymerization to fuse Destiny HERO Decider(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1000/LV: 4) and Destiny HERO Drilldark(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4). With the help of this monster, your fates are about to take a terrifying turn for the worst! I Fusion Summon Destiny HERO - Dystopia(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)!" The Destiny HERO with a red D on its forehead arrived on the field.
"When I successfully summon this HERO, I can hit you with damage equal to one of the monsters I used to Fusion Summon it! So you'll take damage equal to my Decider." The spirit of Decider entered Dystopia as it glowed with a purple aura. "Pummeling Palm!" Dystopia shot a spherical blast from its palm toward Allen.

"Dystopia! Send his Railcar back to the workshop for repairs!" Dystopia charged at Ruffian Railcar as the man declared his attack. "No way! I'm allowed to summon Construction Train Signal Red(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1300/LV: 3) and your HERO's attack detours to it!" Allen revealed his monster from his hand and summoned it to the field, siren wailing.
"No matter, one train is as good as another." The man acknowledged as Dystopia dodged the speeding Signal Red and punched it. "That's what you think! Signal Red can't be destroyed in battle!" Since it was in Defense Mode, Allen didn't take any damage.
"Then I'll set two cards facedown and end my turn."
"Now it's my turn!" Saya declared as she drew a card. Then she saw what she drew. "The spell card Fairy Dust? This is perfect!" "First, I summon Little Fairy(ATK: 800/DEF: 800/LV: 3)!" Little Fairy laughed as she flew onto the field. "And by sending one card in my hand to the graveyard, she gains a level." Saya sent Dancing Fairy(ATK: 1700/DEF: 1000/LV: 4) to the graveyard, causing the three Dancing Fairies to surround Little Fairy and sprinkle dust that made her level increase.
Little Fairy(ATK: 800/DEF: 800/LV: 3 = 4)
Looking at Allen, Saya wordlessly asked him, "Please, lend me your strength!" Knowing what she was going to do, Allen nodded as a sign of approval.
Saya then activated Fairy Dust. "This powder changes Signal Red from a Machine into a Fairy and raises its level by one!"
Construction Train Signal Red(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1300/LV: 3 = 4)
"Thanks to Fairy Dust, I can use Signal Red to Xyz Summon. I overlay Little Fairy and Signal Red to build the Overlay Network! This next monster's got the pom-pom's that pummel! I Xyz Summon Fairy Cheer Girl(ATK: 1900/DEF: 1500/RK: 4/OU: 2)!"
Raising her hand to her xyz monster, Saya then said, "And since I used Fairy Dust to change Signal Red into a Fairy, it gives Fairy Cheer Girl 500 more attack points to cheer about! And since she's a Fairy, I can sprinkle Fairy Glitter to give her an extra 900 attack points!"

"It's on! Fairy Cheer Girl, attack Destiny HERO Dystopia!"
"Sorry, but because I only control Dystopia, D-Wind Blast prevents it from being destroyed in battle and hits you with 800 points of damage!" Fairy Cheer Girl punched its pom-poms against Dystopia's fist, but neither was destroyed.

"That's not gonna happen!" The man exclaimed. Allen narrowed his eyes. "Why's that?"
"Because of Urban Demise! When you attack me, I can give my Dystopia an extra 100 attack points! Which then triggers its ability! When Dystopia's attack points change, it automatically destroys your train!"
Destiny HERO - Dystopia(ATK: 2800 = 2900/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)
Dystopia then sucked Iron Wolf into its palm, destroying it. Left with little choice, Allen had to end his turn.
"There won't be another turn for you! Dystopia, attack him directly with Dystopian Destruction!"
"I won't let that happen! I activate Fairy Rail! By using an overlay unit, Allen doesn't take any damage, and Fairy Cheer Girl gains those points instead!" Saya's facedown saved Allen from being eliminated, and Fairy Cheer Girl's wings glowed a pinkish hue as her attack points grew.
Fairy Cheer Girl(ATK: 3000 = 5900/DEF: 1500/RK: 4/OU: 1 = 0)
"Allen, until now, you always stood in front of me to protect me. When I should've always been standing next to you so that we can fight together." Saya strengthened her determination with these thoughts.
"If you think that it's over, you're dead wrong! I activate D-Revenge! Since I couldn't deal damage, my Dystopia gains attack points equal to her fairy!" Dystopia glowed a purple aura as it powered up.
Destiny HERO - Dystopia(ATK: 2900 = 8800/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)
"8800 attack points?!" Allen was shocked. Saya then said, "But it won't do you any good! Your Dystopia already attacked!"
"D-Revenge allows Dystopia to attack for every Destiny HERO I banish, and since I'm banishing Decider and Drilldark, I get to attack the both of you!"
Allen and Saya could only watch in horror as Dystopia created two black spheres that resembled black holes and threw the projectiles at them, depleting all their life points once they hit.

SAYA LP: 3200 = 0
Allen and Saya were left on the ground, injured and unable to move. As the cloaked man approached them, Allen forced himself to stand bravely in front of Saya.
"Saya... run...! Do it... now!" Allen ordered her as he struggled to stand.
"Allen! No!" Saya tried to stand, but she was weaker to pain than Allen was.
"I commend you for your bravery, but this is the end of the line." The Duel Academy duelist said, hovering over Allen.
The man pressed a button on his Duel Disk and a purple light was emitted that covered Allen. When the light disappeared, Allen disappeared too. The man retrieved a card that dispensed from his Duel Disk and threw it at Saya, horrifying her. Allen's image from before he was carded appeared on the card, as tears formed in Saya's eyes as she looked at the card.
The man then told her, as she laid on the ground, "It's your turn now."
Apologizing to all her friends in her mind, Saya closed her eyes as she continued to cry, more guilt overwhelming her heart.
"SAYA!"
Saya opened her eyes as she heard someone shout her name. Looking up, she saw Yuya covering her body with his own as the Duel Academy duelist pressed the button again. Saya tried to get a voice out, but she couldn't say anything in her state of shock before it was too late.
As the purple light enveloped them, the man said, "Fool. If you weren't in a hurry, you wouldn't have..." The man stopped mocking Yuya's action, because as the light dissipated, Yuya and Saya weren't cards.
"WHAT?!"
Trying it again, the result remained the same, Yuya and Saya weren't turned into cards. "What is this?! A malfunction?! No, that can't be! It worked on the boy!" The man yelled.
Yuya, Yuto, and Saya were equally confused. Moving away from Saya, Yuya looked at his hands to make sure he was still there. He slowly spoke, astonished. "We're... not cards?" Yuya was so shocked that he didn't realize that his pendant was glowing softly.
Saya blinked quite a few times in surprise. Seeing Allen's card on the ground, she quickly snapped out of her surprise and immediately picked up Allen. Yuya saw the card, and his face became horrified at what had happened to Allen.
"Just who or what are you?!" The cloaked man asked Yuya.
Gritting his teeth and narrowing his eyes, Yuya stood up glaring at the man who carded Allen. Activating his Duel Disk, he answered, "My name is Yuya Sakaki, and I'm a Lancer!"
"Sakaki?! You... you wouldn't have any relation to Yusho Sakaki, would you?" The Duel Academy duelist asked, venom evident in his tone. "You know my dad?!" Yuya was quite surprised.
"Yeah... there's no way... I would ever forget... him." The man said bitterly. Taking off his hood, the man was revealed to have his grey hair sectioned in two layers, his bangs forming one layer and the rest the other.
The duelist finally introduced himself. "I'm Commander Aster Phoenix, leader of Duel Academy's Xyz Dimension Division."
"You're the commander?!" Yuya exclaimed. "So he's the one leading the invasion!" Yuto glared bitterly at the man.
"You've just made my day! Yusho won't hesitate to come out of hiding if I use his own kid as bait!" Aster said as he activated his Duel Disk again.
"Wait! You've met my dad?! When?! And why do you have a beef with him? He's friends with everybody." "Not with me."
This caused Yuya to be surprised that someone didn't like his dad. "There must be some kind of misunderstanding." "There isn't!" Aster firmly said, causing Yuya to flinch. "Now let's battle!"
Gritting his teeth, Yuya activated his Duel Disk. "I don't know what your deal is with my dad, but I'm not letting you get off the hook after what you did to Allen."
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
[Let's duel!]
"I'm making the first move! I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 2 Timebreaker Magician(ATK: 1400/DEF: 0/LV: 3/PS: 2) and Scale 9 Performapal Marble Fairy(ATK: 100/DEF: 200/LV: 1/PS: 9). I'm taking control of this duel, starting now! I'm allowed to summon monsters levels 3 through 8, all at the same time! Swing far pendulum. Carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action!"
"Pendulum!" Aster whispered.
"Scratch your way to victory, Performapal Silver Claw(ATK: 1800/DEF: 700/ LV: 4/PS: 5). Work your wizardry, Xiangsheng Magician(ATK: 500/DEF: 1500/LV: 4/PS: 8)." Yuya summoned Silver Claw in Attack Mode and Xiangsheng in Defense Mode.
"So this is Pendulum Summoning! And a Performapal..." Aster muttered as he saw Yuya pendulum summon.
"Next, I summon Tuning Magician(ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 1)!" Yuya summoned his tuner monster, but at the cost of losing 400 life points, while Aster gained that same amount.

"I activate Marble Fairy's Pendulum Ability! I can summon Performapal Odd-Eyes Minitaurus(ATK: 1200/DEF: 1600/LV: 4/PS: 6) from my deck!" Yuya summoned Performapal Odd-Eyes Minitaurus and used Marble Fairy's second Pendulum Ability to alter it to become level 3.

"And now, I place one card facedown and end my turn! Now... let's see what you're made of."
"You must be careful, Yuya. I sense that he's unlike any duelist we've faced so far." Yuto warned Yuya. "I know. But, Yuto, maybe I can get some info out of him. And if I do, maybe I'll find my dad."
"So, your dueltaining just like your dad, huh? Well, I'll show you the same thing I showed him — that dueltaining only leads to defeat!" Aster resolved.
"I summon Destiny HERO Drilldark!" Drilldark appeared on the field, with its drill on its right hand whirling headfirst.
"But I'm not stopping there! I'm activating the spell D-Pressure! It lets me summon a second Drilldark." A beam of light shone from the spell and another Drilldark appeared from it.
"When my Drilldarks attack, they can bore right through your defenses and drill away at your life points! Piercing Peril!" A Drilldark charged with its drill first at Xiangsheng Magician, destroying her.
YUYA LP: 3600 = 3500
"Now my other Drilldark will finish off Enlightenment Paladin!" Aster's second Drilldark charged at Silver Claw. "But my Enlightenment Paladin is stronger than your Drilldark!" Yuya exclaimed.
"Not for long. 'Cause I'm activating D-Unison! Now I can give my Drilldark a boost by raising its attack points equal to my other Drilldark's attack points until the end of the turn!" The second Drilldark clashed its drill with Enlightenment Paladin's blades.
Destiny HERO Drilldark(ATK: 1600 = 3200/DEF: 1200/LV: 4)
While they clashed, Yuya jumped to the left and grabbed an Action Card, activating it. "I activate the Action Spell Miracle! It saves my monster from being destroyed and cuts the damage I take in half!"

"I place three cards facedown and end my turn." Aster concluded.
Destiny HERO Drilldark(ATK: 3200 = 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4)
"Yuya... are you alright?" Yuto asked him. "For him this isn't a duel, it's a vendetta!" "But that won't stop me from dueltaining. Because that's the only way to teach him that dueling should only be for fun!" Yuya declared as he drew.
Seeing he drew Smile World, Yuya had a pain formulate in his mind. "I activate the spell card Smile World!"
"Smile World?" Aster widened his eyes at the card. Saya commented, upon seeing the floating icons, "This is Yusho's card!"
"All monsters gain 100 attack points for every monster on the field." Yuya explained.

Aster tightened his fists as his hatred intensified upon seeing the card. "You don't need to tell me what this card does. I know it well - too well."
"We'll see about that! Because I'm activating the trap Smile Potion! And it'll have me grinning from ear to ear, 'cause I can draw four new cards!" A purple potion with a pink smiling icon poured onto the field and generated more smiling icons.
Yuya drew four new cards and saw that one of them was a card that he needed. "I activate Cost of Pendulum! By destroying my pendulum monsters, I can summon a pendulum monster from my deck! I select Performapal Cheermole(ATK: 600/DEF: 1000/LV: 2/PS: 5)."
"Now, here's something you've never seen before! Since Cost of Pendulum counts as Pendulum Summoning, I can have my level 8 Enlightenment Paladin tune my Performapal Cheermole!" "What?! But your Enlightenment Paladin isn't a tuner!" Aster was surprised. "After I Pendulum Summon, I can Synchro Summon this monster by treating a synchro monster as a tuner!" Yuya showed Aster his Nirvana High Paladin(ATK: 3300/DEF: 2500/LV: 10/PS: 8) as he summoned it with a smile. "I Synchro Summon, Nirvana High Paladin!"
"And this'll turn your smile upside down. Go, D-Fusion! It's a fun little trap card 'cause I can use it during your turn. Now, by sending my two Drilldarks to the graveyard... I can Fusion Summon!" The two Drilldarks glowed yellow as the fusion summoning commenced.
"Brace yourself, Yuya!" Yuto warned him as he began to look around.
"I'm using the thrill of the drill to unearth a mighty new menace! I Fusion Summon Destiny HERO - Dystopia!" Dystopia appeared on the scene again, causing Saya to get worried.
Yuya started to run, looking for an Action Card. "And I'm putting its power to use right away!" Aster declared. "So your life points are about to get drilled by the attack points of one of my Drilldarks! Pummeling Palm!" Dystopia's blast hit Yuya in the back as he ran, knocking him down. "Yuya!" Saya called out in worry to the pendulum duelist.
YUYA LP: 2500 = 900
"You've seen what he's like. He duels to destroy Yuya." Yuto told him. "I can... change him." "Duel Academy's the worst of the worst. You can't reason with those jerks." "Maybe you're right, but maybe I can."
Yuya's determination caused Yuto to gasp in surprise. "Just because something is hard doesn't mean you give up." Yuya then groaned from the pain as he stood. "You just try even harder. Besides, he might have a clue to where my dad is."
"He might be your only lead but look at him. He's not going to give up that info. Your dueltaining isn't gonna magically turn him into your best friend." That caused Yuya's eyes to widen as he looked at Yuto.
"Your dad couldn't do it. What makes you think you can? Let's get real. "But Yuto..." Yuya protested but was cut off by Yuto forcibly possessing him. Yuya's eyes then glowed purple as they opened. When the light died down, Yuto's grey eyes had replaced Yuya's red eyes.
Yuto, using Yuya's body and mixing his voice with his, then said "I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 3 Performapal Seal Eel(ATK: 100/DEF: 100/LV: 1/PS: 3) and Scale 6 Performapal Changeraffe(ATK: 100/DEF: 500/LV: 1/PS: 5). I'm taking control of this duel, starting now! I'm allowed to summon as many level 4 monsters as I like! Swing far, pendulum. Carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action!"

"I overlay my Odd-Eyes Minitaurus and Xiangsheng Magician to build the Overlay Network!" Minitaurus turned into purple energy while Xiangsheng became yellow energy, and they both entered the Overlay Network portal. "Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective, I call upon the most dangerous of dragons! I Xyz Summon! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)."
"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's special ability! By using an overlay unit, the attack points of Dystopia are cut in half, and then Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon gains those attack points! Treason Discharge!"

"Time to attack! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, take out Dystopia! Mauling Mandible Charge!" "Don't think so! My trap D-Fusion protects Dystopia from destruction this turn." D-Fusion appeared as a spirit and entered Dystopia, causing it to glow yellow.
Yuya-Yuto pointed at Aster. "But you'll still take damage!" Aster was thrown against a wall behind him due to the impact of Dark Rebellion striking Dystopia.

"I'm not through! Nirvana High Paladin, attack with Elysium Elimination and end this duel!" Nirvana High Paladin's broadsword's tip extended as purple and green energies swirled around it, creating a twister of the energies.
"Not so fast! D-Negation will stop your attack and destroy your Paladin!" A barrier formed around Dystopia and protected it from High Paladin's twister slash attack. The barrier then turned the energies into lightning which struck down Nirvana High Paladin.
"Nirvana High Paladin's gone!" Saya's grip on Allen's card tightened as her worry grew.
"And now, I'll end my turn. And by ending my turn, my monsters' special abilities conclude as well." Yuto then returned control to Yuya after the abilities wore off, causing him to wince upon returning to control.

"Heh, nice hit. I didn't think you could Xyz and Synchro Summon, being from a different dimension after all. But you won't catch me off guard again!" Aster's eyes then sharpened as he drew a card. "My turn! I draw!"
"Dystopia attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Dystopian Destruction!" Dystopia kept into the air and created an electric ball of lightning in its right fist and struck down Dark Rebellion, striking a pose as the dragon exploded.
YUYA LP: 2500 = 600
"I activate Performapal Changeraffe's Pendulum Ability! In exchange for itself, I can get back my Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Changeraffe launched yellow chains that pulled Dark Rebellion from the graveyard.
"I guess seeing me destroy it once wasn't enough for you. But I'll be more than happy to oblige. First, by banishing a Destiny HERO from my graveyard... I can activate D-Doom Dance!" Aster banished one of his Drilldarks to activate his trap.
"Now Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon loses attack points equal to Drilldark's." The trap unleashed a blast at Dark Rebellion after the spirit of Drilldark entered it.

"And it gets worse — much worse! My Destiny HERO can attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon twice! Destiny HERO - Dystopia, attack! Dystopian Destruction!"
"Oh, yeah? So what! Thanks to Changeraffe, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon can't be destroyed this turn!" Performapal Changeraffe's spirit appeared in front of them and turned into a barrier. "But you'll still take damage!"
Yuya quickly retrieved an Action Card and played it. "Not a chance! Thanks to the Action Card Damage Banish, I won't take damage!"
"I activate the spell D-Faceoff and end my turn. So if you keep using xyz monsters, I'll keep delivering the pain. Because at the end of our turns, D-Faceoff compares the total levels of our monsters, and if my total is higher, one Destiny HERO gains attack points equal to 100 times the difference in their levels."
Yuya realized what Aster was doing. "Since xyz monsters don't have levels..." "Summoning them puts us at a disadvantage." Yuto finished.
"I've got the upper hand now!" Aster declared. "Since Dystopia is level 8 and your Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon has no level, Dystopia gains 800 attack points."
Destiny HERO - Dystopia(ATK: 2800 = 3600/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)
"Now I activate Dystopia's special ability! When its attack points change, it destroys one card on the field! So say goodbye to that slithering, blithering Performapal Seal Eel!" Dystopia sucked Seal Eel into its palm and crushed it.
"Without Seal Eel, you can't negate Dystopia's special abilities anymore! And the pain doesn't stop there! Since Dystopia gained 800 attack points, D-Faceoff deals you 800 points of damage!" A purple beam shot from D-Faceoff at Yuya.
Vaulting away to his left, Yuya grabbed an Action Card. I activate the Action Spell Aceleration!" Yuya dived away from the blast as he continued, "And accelerate myself out of danger!"
"What?" Aster was shocked at the fact that Yuya had avoided the blast.
Aster mused at Yuya, who was panting. "You may have escaped again, but it's only a matter of time! Because D-Faceoff will deal you damage at the end of every turn until you run out of life points."
"I bet this is how he defeated all my friends... slowly whittling down their life points to prolong their torture." "Yuto...!" Yuya called in concern. "Going to your dimension was the biggest mistake I ever made, Yuya. If I'd stayed here in Heartland City, I could've saved everyone. It's my fault!"
Yuya yelled at his despairing xyz counterpart. "Yuto! That's not true!" Yuya was silenced as Yuto forcibly took over again.
"Payback time." Seeing the card he drew, Yuya-Yuto spent no time in activating it. "I'm activating... The Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Launch! I use this and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon to Xyz Summon a monster one rank higher!" Black mist covered Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon as its body became crystallized in a black shell. Yuya chanted, "Dragon from the bleak, black pit!" Yuto then chanted, "Fierce, fearless, ferocious fighter!" Yuya finished the chant. "Rise and master the skies!" Yuya and Yuto said at the same time, "Go, Rank-Up XYZ Evolution! Arise, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/RK: 5/OU: 2)!"
Yuya-Yuto then said, "Now, by using one overlay unit, Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon absorbs all of your Dystopia's attack points! Requiem Retribution! The orbs on the wings of Dark Requiem glowed and turned into black holes. They then blasted out streams of darkness that struck Dystopia and bound it as its attack points vanished.

"You fool! When Dystopia's attack points change, it's special ability activates, and destroys your dragon!" The hole in Dystopia's abdomen opened and began to suck in Dark Requiem.
"I use a second overlay unit to activate Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon's other special ability! Not only do I get to summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon from my Graveyard, but Dystopia's special ability is also no more!" Dark Rebellion returned to the field right in front of Dark Requiem, blocking Dystopia from pulling it into its abdomen.

"I can't believe it! This is unprecedented! You'll pay!" Aster cursed.
"No I won't! Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon, attack Dystopia!" The xyz dragon roared as it flew high. Once it got high enough, it spread its wings, and stained-glass membranes materialized between the wing fingers. Its stain glass wings shone in the light, as if it offered repose.
"Finish him! Dark Destruction!" The second Yuto declared his attack, Dark Requiem flew down at high-speed, its mandible glowing like Dark Rebellion's.
Aster then ran for an Action Card. Picking one up, he saw that it was Miracle. "This won't help!" Aster was right, Miracle wouldn't stop the damage from wiping out his life points.
Tossing the Action Card away, Aster had to pick a monster card in his hand. "But this will!"
"I send Destiny HERO - Dynatag(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1000/LV: 5) from my hand to the graveyard to activate its special ability! Since I have fewer life points than you, I don't take damage from your attack. Instead, we both take 1000 points of damage!" Dynatag's body glowed in the graveyard, as if it were ready to blow.
"No!"
Dynatag blew up, creating a massive explosion that generated powerful winds that brought Aster to one knee as he braced them, and sent Yuya crashing into a wall that crumbled on top of him.

"Yuya!" Saya quickly dug him out and saw he wasn't that hurt compared to her. They then saw a jeep full of blue uniformed Duel Academy soldiers approaching them. Saya then helped Yuya get moving and they hid behind a nearby piece of rubble.
The jeep stopped and the Duel Academy personnel ran to their commander upon seeing the explosion. "This way!" "Commander Phoenix, are you okay?" "Hurry!" "Commander, you alright? Do you need help, Commander Phoenix?"
Keeping themselves quiet, Saya took a peek from behind the rubble and eventually watched as the Duel Academy forces got into the jeep and drove away. Once Yuya recovered, Saya then convinced him to return to the Sanctuary, informing Shay and the others through the Duel Disks to return as well.
Duel Sancutary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
When they all got back, Yuya and Saya explained what had happened. Their encounter with the Head Commander, Allen being carded, and how they safely sneaked back.
"Allen...!" Shay stared wide-eyed at Allen's card as Saya showed him. Punching a nearby wall, Shay cursed Aster for taking another one of his friends away.
Saya then broke down and cried. She couldn't hold her guilt anymore and kept apologizing, even though no one blamed her. Celina, Sylvio, and Gong looked down, saddened from losing another friend to Duel Academy. No one said anything.
Yuya, however, was bothered by something as he looked at Allen's card. "Why were Saya and I not turned into cards like Allen was?" Yuya wondered to himself. "Once that light hit us, that should've been it. So why weren't we affected?"
"Pendulum is also... born of purifying light..."
Yuya shot his eyes open as he remembered what Celina said to him a few nights ago. Looking at his pendulum pendant, Yuya entered some kind of trance as it glowed softly. The others were confused when Yuya took Allen's card and placed it on the ground. Yuya then began to mutter, "The pendulum swings... back and forth... purifying power..."
"Yuya?" Saya called out. "What's going on?"
A bright light shone from the pendant, and Yuya raised his hand toward Allen's card in apparent response. The light engulfed Yuya and Allen's card.
When the light died down, Allen was back to normal, he wasn't a card anymore. Eyes closed, Allen was lying on the ground, much to everyone's astonishment. No one made a move in fear it may be some kind of hallucination.
Allen slowly opened his eyes to see a familiar ceiling and Yuya and Saya beside him. "What the...? What's going on?" Allen asked, feeling that he missed something. He was further surprised when Saya hugged him and cried in joy that it was him. This caused him to blush and stiffen. Shay, Gong, Sylvio, and Celina sighed in relief and smile before joining in. Yuya just smiled at his pendant after smiling at Allen. "Looks like things are finally swinging our way."

The monster targeted by this spell can be used as xyz material. A Fairy-Type xyz monster that was summoned using the targeted monster as xyz material gains this effect: If it is Xyz Summoned, it gains 500 attack points, also it cannot be destroyed by battle.
Fairy Rail(Normal Trap): During the Damage Step, if you would take battle damage: Detach 1 overlay unit from a monster you control, then target 1 Fairy monster you control. Its ATK becomes equal to the battle damage you would have taken, then make that battle damage zero. If that monster attacks, it is changed to Defense Mode at the end of battle.

D-Unison(Quick-Play Spell): When you control only two Destiny HERO monsters that are the same level and one is battling, increase that monster's attack equal to the monster that isn't battling until the end of the turn.
Cost of Pendulum(Normal Spell): Destroy both monsters in your Pendulum Zones and then special summon one pendulum monster from your deck. (This is treated as a Pendulum Summon.)
D-Negation(Normal Trap): When a Destiny HERO monster you control is attacked while you have 500 life points or less, negate that attack and destroy the attacking monster instead.

D-Revenge(Quick-Play Spell): When your Destiny HERO monster fails to inflict damage to your opponent, select one monster on your opponent's field and your Destiny HERO gains attack points equal to that monster's attack points.
