Chapter 22: Horde Prime

Ahsoka kept slicing through the Horde Bots.
Soon, all the bots were destroyed.
"That's all of them", Sam said as he deactivated his lightsabers.
Hordak said, "I didn't think there would be so many of them. And you had to fight battles like this on a daily basis?"
Sam replied, "yep. For several years."
"You get used to the feeling of fighting droids everyday", Obi Wan said.
"Let's head back to the base", Ahsoka said.

The group made it to the base a little while later.
Leia asked as she walked over to Han, "Han, any luck?"
"No, I can't get a signal through to the rest of the Jedi and Rebels", Han Solo said frustrated.
"Horde Prime must be blocking the signal", Luminara said.
Hordak said, "I keep fearing what might happen if we don't get any help here soon…."
Adora asked as she came out of her tent, "Sam, Hordak can I speak with you two?"
Sam and Hordak nodded their heads as they went inside the tent.
"Twilight has some news for us, at least good news, I think", Adora said.
Sam said, "thank the force. We need some good news right now."
Hordak nodded in agreement with Sam.
"Hello, my friends", Twilight said.
Sam asked, "what news do you have for us, Twilight?"
Twilight said, "well, I'm not sure if it's much, but it may help you in your current situation."
"At least it could help us in our fight against Horde Prime", Hordak said as he held Sam's hand.
Sam nodded and said, "so, what information do you have, Twilight? Any will help us."
"I've been working on building the powerful defense shields at the Jedi Temple. Once they are back online, you and the rest of the rebels will be safe there, and there is the chance you may be able to contact the rest of the Jedi and Rebels", Twilight said with a smile on their face.
Sam said, "that's good news. We need all the help we can get, especially with everything going on involving the Horde."
Hordak added, "I'm just worried about what Horde Prime might do to any of us if we get in his grasp."
"I'll let you know as soon as it's done,may the force be with you all", Twilight said.

As Prime sat in his throne, he closed his eyes and said, "be prepared to halt production."
Sigma asked, "m-my lord?"
Prime replied, "I have much to think about, when it comes to my recent actions…."
Sigma had a slight glare on his face after hearing those words.
"My lord, if we stop now, there's a chance those Rebels will be able to defeat more of our forces", Sigma said.
Prime asked, "is our victory really worth it, when so many lose themselves? Their free will, emotions, and personality, suppressed by us? I have spent many years doing terrible things…. But maybe I should follow our brother's example…."
Sigma clenched his fists.
"I am ordering you to halt production on the chips. I will decide what our next strategy will be", Prime said.
"Yes, my lord", Sigma said as he bowed.
Sigma left the throne room with a look of pure rage that stuck on him as he entered the labs where the chips were being made.
As he gazed upon them, he stared upon his nearby reflection and said, "I think…. It's time…. For a change…."

Adora stepped forward.

Luke and Leia were having a conversation with Hordak and Adora.

Hordak said, "well hopefully you won't have to wait that long for it."
Sam asked, "is something wrong you two?"
"No, nothing's wrong", Leia lied.
"Leia, I can tell when you are lying", Sam said in a stern tone.
"Okay fine…. Me and Luke are worried about our father…. Finding Etheria", Leia said with a sigh.
Sam got down to his knees and held both their shoulders and said, "Luke, Leia, I promise, even if your father finds Etheria, me, Hordak, and the rest of your friends, no, our family, will protect you with our lives."
"But during the portal incident, we saw how obsessed he was with finding us", Luke said as he sighed.
"And we're worried he might try to kill any of you to get to us", Leia said with a sad sigh.
Adora and Hordak got down to their knees as well.
Adora said, "if Vader comes after you, we're all willing to risk our lives to protect you."
Hordak nodded and said, "no matter what, nothing is going to stop us from keeping you safe from him."
Luke hugged Hordak, while Leia hugged Adora.
"Thank you…. Mom", Leia said as she smiled.
"You too, Uncle Hordak", Luke said with a smile.
Hordak found a huge dumb grin growing on his face when he heard that.
Sam joined in on the hug.

Hordak chuckled and said, "the same goes for you too."
Bow was crying tears along with Entrapta.

So as you can see, Horde Prime redeems himself in this story, and Horde Sigma takes his place as the villain who chips the other characters.
I think the hardest thing for me to write was when the characters get chipped, since mind control stories often intrigue and frighten me. So it was hard to write these characters that I really enjoy, getting mind controlled, and having it last for numerous chapters. At least when Catra got chipped, it lasted for like one episode. All of the other characters were chipped for like 7! Scorpia's was the one that hit the most for me, since she's in my top 5 favorites.
Spinnerella, Micah, Mermista and Scorpia still get chipped later on, but Omega, Rex and Shaak Ti will get chipped as well.
The latter three will be unchipped at the same time as Spinnerella.
