A Little While Ago - Duel Sancutary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Yuya, Kite, Iggy, and Shay arrived back at the hideout riding on the aerial monsters of Shay and Kite. Saya was glad to see them returned safe and sound. She was wary of Iggy, since she didn't know him. She eased when Shay and Kite told her he was an ally and the reason Yuya was able to be saved.
Allen walked up to Yuya and looked away from him in an embarrassed manner. This confused the dueltainer.
"I'm sorry..." "Huh?" Yuya blinked at Allen. "About judging you before knowing you... and not having faith in your dad."
Yuya and Yuto looked at each other before smiling. Yuya extended his hand to Allen, offering a handshake. Yuya's cheerful smile convinced Allen to take his hand and shake it.
"Oh, right. I have something for you." Allen remembered. Yuya was surprised. "Really? What?"
"Here." Allen presented his rollerboots to Yuya. "Your rollerboots? I can't - " "Don't argue with me, just take them, Yuya!"
"Alan." Yuya stunned face turned into a smile as he nodded. Soon, Yuya had the rollerboots on. "They look good on you." Allen complemented. Yuya agreed.
"Celina, Gong, and Sylvio haven't returned yet?" Shay's loud voice interrupted the moment between Allen and Yuya. They saw Saya nod in confirmation.
"They should've returned by now." "Why's that?" Yuya asked. "They left a few minutes before Kite came and told us what had happened to you." Shay explained.
"I hope they didn't run into those girls I came with to this dimension." Iggy said in worry. "What girls?" Kite asked. "Two sisters who called themselves Gloria and Grace. They came with me, Dennis, the Chaos Inquisition's Sigma Squad, and Obelisk Force." The mention of the girls' names instantly got Shay, Kite, Allen, and Saya's attentions.
"You don't think..." Allen trailed off, fearing the worst. "I do. And I hope you're wrong, Allen." Kite told him. "But if it is true, we definitely need to find the other Lancers and get them back here."
"Yuya. Do you think you're well enough to go out again?" Shay asked. Yuya's nodding reply was enough to convince Shay. "Then let's go find those guys. I have a bad feeling they're in trouble."
Present - Ruins of Heartland Shopping District - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
The two of them were running through the ruined section of the shopping district when they had heard the echoing of some familiar voices' screams. "Whoa... sounds bad!" Yuya commented as he and Shay looked for the source of the screams.
Shay figured out which direction they were coming from. "This way!" Yuya ran in the rightward direction Shay was quickly running in.
Celina fell down and bounced next to Sylvio and Gong as she was defeated. She landed on her stomach as Yuya and Shay quickly ran over to them. "Oh, no! Gong! Sylvio! Celina! What happened? Who did this to you?" Yuya asked as he kneeled to Celina, who was trying to push herself up.
"It was... those two... up there." Celina struggled to say through the pain she felt as she looked up the stairway. The two arrivals looked up to see the perpetrators looking down on them. Shay immediately stood protectively in front of his friends as he recognized them.
"Ah, looks like some more flies have found their way into our web." Gloria commented as she and Grace looked down on the Lancers smugly smiling.
"So Grace and Gloria Tyler are back, and I'm guessing it's not because you're sorry about trashing my city. But after I'm done with you, you will be."
Grace was impressed with Shay's recognition of them. "Like, cool. Glad to know you're, like, familiar with our work."
"Look, Grace. The Resistance really are like cockroaches. Just when you think you've got rid of 'em all, a couple more scurry out of hiding."
Gloria's taunting infuriated Shay. "Why you - "
"Zip it!" Shay looked at Yuya and saw Yuto overlapping him. "The only scurrying that's going to happen is you two scurrying back home, 'cause hurting my friends isn't funny." Yuya and Yuto spoke in harmony. "After I'm done with you, you'll wish you never came here."
"It appears I touched a nerve, Grace. How fortunate." "Yeah, Gloria, nice one." Grace said 'nice one' in a singsong tone.
"Yuto. Do you guys know these two?" Yuya asked Yuto in his mind. "Yeah. I heard that the entire Spade School was wiped out by these two. They're monsters... and monsters will not be shown any mercy!"
Yuya closed eyes as he spoke. "Yuto... we're going to take these two down, I promise, but you have to remain calm." Opening his eyes, remembered all the times he lost control. "Don't get so angry that your anger overwhelms you. It clouds your judgment, and, even worse, it brings out your most hateful instincts. I don't want to fuel that fire again."
"If you are done having your lil' powwow with Yuto, we have a duel to win, Yuya." Shay got an unsteady answer from Yuya. "Y-Yeah, we're cool, Shay."
"Good, then let's get to kicking some tail. These two are first, then it's Duel Academy's turn." "And we're taking 'em all down together!" Yuto agreed with Shay's propaganda.
"But listen..." Yuya got up as he continued. "We gotta do this the right way. I'm here to show these two that dueling's about having fun... so check all the anger and all of the hate at the door, Shay. Can you do that?" "I'll try." Shay told Yuya as he activated his Duel Disk. "Now let's stop yapping and get down to business."
Outside, Yuya was determined to do what he believed in. But deep inside Aster's words caused him to doubt himself.
"You claim that dueling is only for fun and to understand others, but you don't understand us at all! You decided what Duel Academy does is cruelty without trying to understand us first! You two claim that dueling for fun is the right thing, as if it would solve everything. It's nothing but your own self-satisfaction!"
"But this is one duel I can't lose; I hope we can pull this off. They took down Gong, Sylvio, and Celina real hard, and that means I'm in for a real fight." Yuya thought as he readied his Duel Disk.
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
"Oh, joy, two more Lancers." Grace happy acknowledged as the Action Cards spread across the field.
"Now, you do realize Tag Dueling's our specialty." Gloria told them as she and Grace activated their Duel Disks' blades. Grace followed up her sister with the rules of the duel. "Yeah, and in this Tag Duel, each team shares their life points, fields, and, like, even their graveyards are up for sharesies."
"The more the merrier!" Yuya's reply was met with Grace teasing him. "Ooh, confidence!" It's too bad that after this match, you're not gonna have any of that left." "Indeed." Gloria agreed, eyes closed. "Prepare to be humbled in a way you won't ever forget!"
"Enough talk — let's see if you can back it up. It's showtime!" Yuya declared.
[Let's duel!]
"I shall go first." Gloria declared as she showed a Continuous Spell card. "And since there are no monsters out, I can do this. Activate a spell that will seriously slow down your game... Quiet Life. And due to its effect, when any player normal summons, they can't special summon during that turn!" "And, like, vice versa." Grace added. Yuya gasped as he realized what that meant.
"Next I'm activating the spell card Polymeization to fuse Amazoness Queen(ATK: 2400/DEF: 1800/LV: 6) and Amazoness Swords Woman(ATK: 1500/DEF: 1600/LV: 4)! Now these two warriors of the jungle will combine into one and harness the untamed power of the jungle itself! I Fusion Summon! Amazoness Empress(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)!" Gloria's hair blew upward as she fusion chanted, and it fell back down when her monster was summoned.
"And then I'll end my turn with a facedown card. You're up."
Yuya worked on his Duel Disk screen and pulled up Quiet Life. "But before I draw, I need to understand what she's up to." "So every turn we need to choose between normal summoning and special summoning? That cuts our options in half!" Yuto explained what the card's effect had done.
"If I have to choose between the two, my option is clear! I draw!" Placing the card he drew into his hand, Yuya took two pendulum monsters.
I'll use Scale 3 Performapal Turn Toad (ATK: 0/DEF: 800/LV: 2/PS: 3) and Scale 8 Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn(ATK: 100/DEF: 600/LV: 1/PS: 8) to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this duel, starting now! I'm allowed to summon monsters from level 4 through 7 all at the same time!" "Go, Yuya..." Gong groaned as he watched his friend duel. "Swing far, pendulum! Carve the arc of victory! My monsters are ready... to swing into action!
Work your wizardry, Xiangsheng Magician(ATK: 500/DEF: 1500/LV: 4/PS: 8). Turn up the heat, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/PS: 4)." Yuya summoned all his monsters in Defense Mode.
"So you've decided to put them both in Defense Mode." Yuto commented. Yuya replied that it didn't hurt to be careful.
Gloria smiled before revealing her facedown. "I'm activating the trap card Amazoness Hall. When you special summon a monster, we gain life points equal to its attack points. And Pendulum Summoning counts as special summoning." "What?" Shay asked. Yuya commented, "Well, this just went from bad to worse."
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 4000 = 7000
"We know you Lancers love to Pendulum Summon, so we were prepared to deal with it." Gloria explaination was back up by her sister, who swept her right lock of hair out of her eye. "For realsies — the Professor and the Chaos Inquisition gave us the lowdown on you chumps."
Yuya was surprised. "Lowdown?' That's not good!" "Stay focused." Shay berated. "We can't let our guard down even for a second."
"Please... You're acting as though you actually have a chance." Grace nonchalantly commented as she swept her right lock of hair out of her eye, before pointing at them. "But you, like, most certainly don't!"
Yuya declared as he picked his last card in his hand, "I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"That's right. There's nothing you can do. That is, except lose, of course!" Grace mocked as she drew a card. Her eyes narrowed when she saw that it was Polymerization. "And just like my sis... I'm also activating Polymerization! And with it, I'm totally, like, gonna fuse Amazoness Tiger(ATK: 1100/DEF: 1500/LV: 4) and Amazoness Spy(ATK: 800/DEF: 1200/LV: 3)! Get set for some paws, claws, and like, roarin' roars! I Fusion Summon! Amazoness Pet Liger(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2400/LV: 7)!
Alright, show that Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon that not all beasts are created equal, especially since when Liger attacks, she gains 500 attack points!"

"And due to Amazoness Empress's special ability, you take damage even if your monster is in Defense Mode!" Like before, Amazoness Empress brought her sword to her chest and both of her hands held it as it emitted waves that caused Liger's eye to glow red. It's slammed its right paw into Odd-Eyes, effectively crushing it. Yuya and Shay braced the wind from its destruction.
YUYA AND SHAY LP: 4000 = 3500
Running for a nearby Action Card, Yuya spent no time in activating it. "I activate Chip Draw! So because you dealt us damage, and lowered a monster's attack during battle, I can draw a card! But the best is yet to come! When you destroy Odd-Eyes, I can tribute my other monster to conjure up an even greater dragon! My Odd-Eyes... evolves into... Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!" Raising his hand to the sky, the newest form of Odd-Eyes appeared from the sky with a roar.
"Guess that means we can't, like, attack with our Empress. But we, like, now gain life points since you special summoned."
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 7000 = 10000
"Not good..." Celina uttered.
"Now, since our battle is over, Liger's attack points go back to normal."
Amazoness Pet Liger(ATK: 3000 = 2500/DEF: 2400/LV: 7)
"It's, like, so much fun destroying you and your monsters that I almost feel sorry, but not, like, that sorry. In fact, like, not even a little sorry." Grace mocked as she placed two cards facedown.
"So causing all this pain and suffering gives you pleasure? Me losing my friends brings a smile to your face?" Shay grew anterior and angrier upon hearing Grace's words. Yuya tried to calm him down. "Take it easy, Shay. Anger won't help us."
"I'm not so sure, Yuya." Yuto disagreed. "Maybe a little fire is what we need right now." "Come on now, guys!" Yuya protested. "You can't really mean that!"
"Sorry, Yuya, this is not the time for fun and games. It's time to bring the pain!" Shay declared furiously before drawing a card. "Here comes the pain!"
Seeing that he drew a third Raidraptor - Singing Lanius(ATK: 100/DEF: 1800/LV: 1), Shay began his next move. "Since Yuya set the Pendulum Scale already, I can Pendulum Summon too! I call forth... three Raidraptor - Singing Laniuses!"
"Guess you forgot we have the trap Amazoness Hall, so whenever you special summon, we gain life points." Gloria informed them as their life points increased by 300.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 10000 = 10300
"No!" Celina yelled. "They just keep getting stronger." Sylvio weakly noted. Gong struggled to speak. "Hang... tough..."
"Calm down!" Yuya told Shay. "You're not thinking clearly!" "Believe me, Yuya, I am thinking clearly." Shay stubbornly and angering told Yuya.
"Just watch!" Raising his right hand to the sky, Shay proceeded to overlay his monsters. "I overlay my three Singing Laniuses in order to build... the Overlay Network! Now I can Xyz Summon and bring forth this! Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 100/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 3)!"
"Really?" Grace asked as their trap card activated again.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 10300 = 10400
"Please. Do you really think a monster with so few attack points will be of any use?" Shay rebuked Gloria's question as he showed a spell card in his hand. "You'll find out soon enough, because I equip the spell Raidraptor - Iron Heart to Rise Falcon and raise its attack points by 500!"
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 100 = 600/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 3)
"Um, am I supposed to be, like, scared?" Grace asked.
"Make her eat those words, make her shake in fear!" Yuto encouraged. "Chill out." Yuya told them. "Whatever you're thinking of doing isn't going to work."
"Oh, yeah? Well, I'm not done just yet... I activate Rise Falcon's special ability! By using one overlay unit, it gains the attack points of their two monsters." Rise Falcon's overlay unit disappeared over the Amazoness monsters, causing them to glow. Empress was covered in a blue aura, while Liger's was yellow. The auras then shot toward Rise Falcon.
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 600/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 3 = 2)
Gloria and Grace were shocked. "It what?!" "Like, that's 5900 attack points!"
"Making Rise Falcon the strongest one on the field!" Rise Falcon was enveloped in flames as its attack points increased.
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 600 = 5900/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)
"Go, Shay!" Yuto yelled.
With dilated enraged pupils, Shay declared his assault. "And now, attack! Take out Pet Liger with Ravaging Rebellion!" Rice Falcon soared high into the sky before crashing down on Pet Liger.
"Our monsters can take the heat." Gloria declared as her Empress rose her blade high with a yell. "Because when Amazoness Empress is holding court..." "Amazoness monsters can't be destroyed!" Grace finished her sister's sentence as a barrier protected Liger, who was protected by Empress.
"But you'll still take damage!" Shay interjected, as an explosion occurred between Rise Falcon and the barrier. The blast sent the Tyler Sisters skidding back, but they remained standing.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 10400 = 7000
"Shay's Rise Falcon attack every monster that's on the field once per turn! So hit 'em again!" Yuto told his best friend. "Rise Falcon, sink your talons into Amazoness Empress!"
"Shay! That won't work!" Celina screamed in warning. "Huh?"
"So like, Liger doesn't like it when you attack its owner, so it's roar is gonna stop your attack!" Liger roared as an image of its head appeared as a barrier, pushing back Rise Falcon.
"Aw... not good!" Yuya exclaimed as Yuto growled at the failed attack.
"You got lucky, but I promise you won't be so lucky next time." Shay told them, before placing a card facedown to end his turn.
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 5900 = 600/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)
"I've gotta admit, I'm impressed." Grace confessed as she flicked her right lock of hair. "You're much better duelists then the pathetic trash we usually go up against." "But, as you're about to see, not good enough to beat us." Gloria added.
"Really?" Shay asked skeptically. "Yeah, really, because I activate my trap card Amazoness Hot Spring!" Grace revealed one of her facedown cards. "Due to its refreshing waters, we now gain back each and every life point we lost from the, like, yuckiness of that last turn."
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 7000 = 10400
Shay and Yuya were horrified. "No..." "So it's like Shay's attacks never even happened?"
Grace revealed her last facedown. "And now another facedown. The trap Amazoness Cursed Mirror! Once per turn, I can, like, stop the damage my sweet sis and I might take."
The two Lancers were shocked. "No way!" "So how are we supposed to get to their life points?"
"That's just it, sweetums. You're not going to get to 'em, so you're not gonna win." Grace answered Yuya's question.
"You're just going to end up like all those others who have faced us... Mauled into mincemeat!" Gloria declared as she drew a card.
"And now I'll have my Pet Liger continue the onslaught by having her down your Falcon! And don't forget due to Liger's special ability, she gains 500 attack points!" Liger leapt into the air as it charged toward Rise Falcon.
"I activate Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon's special ability! By returning Odd-Eyes Unicorn to my hand, Rise Falcon can't be destroyed, and we don't take any battle damage either!" The markings on Lancer Dragon glowed green as it roared, forming a barrier around Rise Falcon.
"You're, like, so annoying. You know you can't win, so, like, stop wasting my precious time, okaysies?" The way Grace was talking, indicated that she had lost interest in the duel. "Your friends aren't worth the hassle, so just, like, give up."
"Never!" Shay's fury skyrocketed upon Grace's suggestion. "I'll never give up! Not for me, not for my friends... not for my sister Lulu. I'll take down Duel Academy... and that's a promise I'll never break!"
Yuto temporarily to control of Yuya's body as he responded to the insult. "That's right! So if you're late... for an appointment or something, then maybe you should be the ones to give up!" "For 'realsies'." Yuya mocked in Grace's accent.
"Please. When will you get it through your thick heads that winning this duel is not in the cards?" Gloria pointed to them as she pointed out the situation, as she too was fed up with the duel. "Face it! You two are finished!" She claimed as she placed her last card in her hand facedown.
"Besides, wasn't there, like, a defector from the Resistance?" Grace reminded.
The news shocked the Lancers, except Shay and Yuto. The two Xyzians just flinched. Celina, Sylvio, and Gong, who had recovered enough to push themselves up, looked at Shay with surprised and questioning looks. In Yuya's questioning case, it was Shay and Yuto.
"Yuto, what do they mean by 'defector'?" Yuya finally asked after some hesitance. Seeing Yuto's darkened expression, he quickly regretted asking.
"Yuya, crush 'em to a pulp." "No! You need to calm down." Yuya strained his words to Yuto. "Yuya, I am calm." "No, you're not. Look, you can't lie to me. I can feel your anger, okay? And if you don't stop this, we're gonna lose control like before and then who knows what will happen?" Yuto turned his head and looked at Yuya.
As Yuya reminded Yuto of the consequences of giving into anger, he saw that he drew Smile World. Seeing the card he drew, his heart started to be clouded with doubt as Aster's words hit him again. It caused him to question himself if he could change them, or that he was doing it out of his own selfishness.
A familiar roar rung in Yuya's ears. He gasped as he continued to hear it, but Shay and the others didn't seem hear it. He then found himself in darkness, a spotlight covering him. In front of him, Odd-Eyes seemed to look at him with a disdainful look. Somehow, Yuya understood what it was trying to convey. It still wanted to battle.
His surroundings suddenly became bright white, before revealing an unfamiliar landscape. His appearance once again took the same look at his dream. But this time, there was a girl that was the same age as he was with dark red and maroon hair. Her hair was kept in a similar style as Zuzu's with hair clips. Her outfit was like to a turbo duelist's, and she had a thigh strap. Her face was obscured for some reason, so the face was unclear.
"Odd-Eyes is pouting, Z•••. I don't know what problem you're having, but don't ignore your dragon. For now, focus on what do you need to do." The girl gently smiled as she walked up to him.
Holding his hand, she continued. "After this, let's talk about it. It's better when you share your feelings with others. It's a quicker way to get through a problem."
Yuya returned to reality. What felt like minutes, was only a few seconds. Looking at his Extra Deck, he saw soft light glowing from it. It was Odd-Eyes' light. The whole thing had happened in his mind, but somehow, he knew it was real.
"...I'm sorry, Odd-Eyes." Yuya muttered quietly. "I still have my doubts, but right now, I want to protect my friends."
"Look guys, we all have to take a couple deep breaths and get focused. Stay calm instead of angry. Trust me that this is the best way. Trust me and I'll show you a duel you've never seen before!" "Okay... let's see what you can do. Good luck." Yuto wished as he let Yuya do his thing. "Thanks, Yuto, now then... it's showtime!
And what's a show without pendulum monsters?" Yuya placed Odd-Eyes Unicorn back in the Pendulum Zone and proceeded with his next move. "Now swing into action...! Xiangsheng Magician! And Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 10400 = 13400
"Much obliged." "It's, like, not even our birthday, but you, like, keep giving our life points presents." Gloria and Grace commented as their life points increased to the 13000s.
Yuya then activated the card he had facedown. "Then I guess you'll love it when I use Monster Reborn to bring back Raidraptor - Singing Lanius from our graveyard, unless of course you want to be the only birdbrains out here." "Why, you..." Gloria growled as she narrowed her eyes at Yuya.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 13400 = 13500
"Now I'll overlay Xiangsheng Magician and Singing Lanius in order to build the Overlay Network! Cloaked in shadows and relentless in its objective. I call upon the most dangerous of dragons! Now I Xyz Summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)!" "Like, really?" Grace asked with an unimpressed look.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 13500 = 16000
"Look at their life points! They're 16000!" Celina exclaimed. "Has Yuya lost his mind?!" Gong asked. "Time will tell... and that time is right now!" Sylvio answered.
Gloria was so infuriated; she threw a fit. "You know, I've faced some bad duelists in my time, but you are by far the worst! You make winning so easy it's almost not fun!"
"Uh, thanks?" Yuya hesitantly answered. "When you said you were going to turn things around, I didn't think you meant in their favor." "And you thought right, Yuto." Yuya happily told him. "Because for the next step, I need the help of both of you."
"Wait, now you need our help?" Yuto and Shay were surprised, though Shay did not show it as he simply turned his eyes toward Yuya. "That's right... and my dad's." Yuya declared as he held Smile World.
A spotlight shone on him as he began. "Ladies and gentlemen! Your eyes are in for a treat! My opponents' life points are 16000! To win now would be the miracle of miracles!"
"You think you can win?" Gloria retorted. "Have you forgotten about Amazoness Magic Mirror's effect?" "It, like, stops your lame dragon from hurting us."
"No, ladies, I didn't forget. Getting around that effect is what's going to make this so entertaining!" Yuya bowed before revealing the second to last card in his hand.
"Now let's set the stage, shall we? I activate the spell Miracle Rocket Show!" The moment Yuya activated the card, their surroundings became filled with colorful stars like they would see in space.
"What's he wasting our time with now?" Gloria asked. Grace breathed, "Woah... I don't know, but it's, like, so pretty." "I think this is one show you'll like, because now, your monsters can't be destroyed in battle, and you take no battle damage either!" As Yuya explained the card's effect, giant rockets materialized behind him and Shay. Everyone was surprised about the card's effect.
"But that helps them, Yuya!" Sylvio exclaimed. Taking a look over his shoulder, Yuya simply replied, "Seems like it, doesn't it? But maybe... I got into this jam to get me out of it. I play the spell card Smile World!"
"Smile World...?" Celina questioned, as she seemed to recognize it, even though she never saw it before.
"Smile World gives all monsters 100 attack points for every monster on the field! Since there's a total of six, each monster gains 600 attack points!

"Everyone gains attack points?" Grace asked. Gloria summarized, "You're up to something." "'Course I am! And I'll show you right now. Actually, make that we." Yuya winked at Shay.
Shay seemed to get the message. "I use one of Rise Falcon's overlay units to activate its special ability! It gains Amazoness Empress and Amazoness Pet Liger's attack points!"
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon(ATK: 1200 = 7700/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2 = 1)
"And, Yuto, time for your dragon." "All right. Let's do this!" Together, they activated Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's special ability. "I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's special ability! By using one overlay unit, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon steals half of Amazoness Pet Liger's attack points!" Liger roared as its attack points were stolen, while Dark Rebellion roared as it gained attack points.

"Yuya and Shay have really strong monsters, but what's the point?" Celina asked.
"No matter how strong they get, there's no point if you can't deal us damage!" Gloria told them with a twitching hand.
Yuya smiled and softly chuckled. "Now sit back... and look up! 'Cause our monsters are about to blast off and attack! Now I know it's a bit snug fit in there for you three, but don't worry — it will be a short trip. Right towards Amazoness Pet Liger! All systems are a go! Target has been acquired!" Rise Falcon, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, and Dark Rebellion each entered a rocket as Yuya counted down. Pet Liger, on the other hand, gained a brightly colored collar. "Commence countdown!" Yuya raised his fingers in the form a number three and counted down. Three... two... one, blastoff!"
The rockets took off and hit the balloons, causing it to rain smaller balloons and stars. The smaller balloons had what looked like miniature galaxies in them. As they hit one another, they exploded like fireworks and produced more colorful stars. Everyone was mesmerized by it, even the Tyler Sisters. Grace commented, "I, like, love the glitz!"
As the rockets hit the biggest balloon, the smaller balloons turned into miniature galaxies. The rockets soared toward Pet Liger, who looked up at them. They came crashing down, creating a brightly rainbow-colored explosion that blinded the Tyler Sisters. When the light died down, Pet Liger took a hand-in-hand bow with the monsters that were used to assault it.
Grace laughed. "How cool!" Gloria smiled. "And we take no damage."
"True, but what's a rocket show without a rocking performance? Since battle damage is reduced to zero, Miracle Rocket Show deals you all the damage you would've taken. A whooping 15450 points!
"No way!" Gloria's shock wasn't shared by her sister, who looked up with a smile. "Amazing!"
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 16000 = 550
"He managed to inflict massive damage in one go! Nice one, Yuya!" Sylvio cheered. Celina smiled in relief. "Now I get it. Since their cards' effects only work when battling, dealing them damage through effects won't cause them to activate!" "As long as Yuya and Shay have that spell, they'll be able to turn the tide!" Gong rejoiced.
"Well, folks... I hope you enjoyed the first part of our show. Gotta say, I think I've done the Sakaki name proud on this one." Yuya set a card facedown to end his turn. In doing so, the monsters' attack points returned to normal. Yuya politely bowed as he concluded his turn.

The Tyler Sisters were taken back by the change in the situation. When they recovered, they smiled. "I take back what I said. You guys are, like, so worth it." Grace retracted her previous statement of them not being worth her time.
"It's my turn! I draw!" Seeing the card she drew, Grace smiled wider. "I activate the spell card Amazoness Spellcaster! Time for some flipsies, cuz now, the attack points of my Liger and your Lancer Dragon are swapped!"

"All right, Liger, time to rip off Rise Falcon's wings! And like before, she gains 500 attack points when she attacks!" Liger pounced on Rise Falcon as her attack points increased again.

"Did you forget? I can return Odd-Eyes Unicorn to my hand to save Rise Falcon and our life points!" Rise Falcon was once again protected by a barrier from Liger's tackle.
"Which is why we have this! The trap Persistent Amazon! 'Cause you activated a card effect during Liger's attack, this trap negates your Lancer Dragon's special abilities until the end of this turn!" The trap shattered the barrier, allowing Liger to close in again on Rise Falcon.
Realizing the situation, Shay revealed his facedown. "I activate a little something called Rank-Up-Magic Escape Force! Stopping your attack." Liger rammed her head into a barrier magic circle, prevent it from reaching Rise Falcon. "And then I can Xyz Summon a monster that's one rank higher than Rise Falcon!" Rise Falcon turned into energy as it flew into the lightning-filled sky. "Go Rank Up Xyz Evolution! Rise up, Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon(ATK: 1000/DEF: 2000/RK: 5/OU: 2)!"
"And that's, like, another 1000 life points added to us." Grace added as their life points soared again.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 550 = 1550
"But your life points, Shay, are about to be decimated!" Gloria added. Grace then proceeded to use her sister's monster to attack. "Go! Clip Blaze Falcon's wings, Empress!" Amazoness Empress yelled as she jumped into the air, blade raised. Shay rode his Blaze Falcon to get an Action Card. Picking it up, he spent no time wasting in activating it. "Don't think so! I play the Action Card I picked up, Miracle! Blaze Falcon won't be destroyed, and we only take half the battle damage!" Empress slashed Blaze Falcon, causing Shay and Yuya to be flung back with the others. Yuya landed on Gong as they all hit a wall.

"Who cares? You're still losing it." Grace revealed her last card in her hand. "Because I activate the spell Amazoness Sacrificial Fusion! Since I dealt you damage, I can use Blaze Falcon to Fusion Summon!"
"You're Fusion Summoning... using my Blaze Falcon?!" Shay exclaimed as he landed on the ground and as Blaze Falcon went over to Grace's side. "This can't be good!" Celina exclaimed as Blaze Falcon, Amazoness Pet Liger, and Amazoness Empress entered the Fusion Vortex.
Grace chanted, "Get ready for a warrior of the jungle who rules with the untamed ferocity of the mightiest beasts! I Fusion Summon! Amazoness Penthesilea(ATK: 3400/DEF: 3600/LV: 11)!" An Amazoness monster very similar to Empress emerged, but had a cape made out of Liger's skin, an axe instead of a sword, and a bow on her back.
"That monster has 3400 attack points!" Yuto exclaimed in disbelief.
"You should feel, like, honored. Not many people have seen our most powerful Amazoness!" Grace declared. "Your chances of winning were zip, but now they've gotten worse! When Amazoness Penthesilea is Fusion Summoned, she gains the attack points of all the Amazoness monsters that were used to summon her!"
Amazoness Penthesilea(ATK: 3400 = 8700/DEF: 3600/LV: 11)
Shay, who was the only one of the Lancers still on his feet, growled. "You may have destroyed one falcon, but another will soon rise and take its place, because Raidraptor - Iron Heart activates from my graveyard, allowing me to summon Rise Falcon back to my field!" Rise Falcon returned, with the spell effect now making Blaze Falcon its new overlay unit.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 1550 = 1650
"No matter. Amazoness Penthesilea, I think it's time to add Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon to your trophy hall!" Penthesilea jumped, yelling while raising her axe at Lancer Dragon. Yuya used his new rollerboots to move around, but because he wasn't used to them yet, he wound up screaming as he moved out of control.
Grabbing an Action Card in his unsteady state, Yuya wound up tripping while moving when activating it. "I play the Action Spell Damage Banish. And even though it won't help me with regaining my balance, it does help us by zeroing out the damage! Woah!" Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon was crushed by the axe, but Yuya and Shay didn't take any damage.
"Survive through using Action Cards, it, like, doesn't matter. You're still going to take damage. Because when Penthesilea destroys a monster, you get hit with 500 points of damage!"
YUYA AND SHAY LP: 2600 = 2100
"As long as we have Penthesilea, you, like, are never gonna win."
Yuya and Shay were sweating unconsciously right now. "The only monster we have on our field that could have a chance is my Dark Rebellion, but we've already used up all its overlay units. It's all up to Shay. He needs to draw the perfect card to turn the duel around, or we're done for." Yuto looked at his best friend nervously, hoping that he could turn the situation around with his draw.
"It's my turn! I draw!" Shay saw the card he drew was what they needed right now. "I activate Rank-Up-Magic Double Force to use my Rise Falcon to Xyz Summon another Raidraptor that's twice its rank! Go Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! You're clear for takeoff, Raidraptor - Satellite Cannon Falcon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/RK: 8/OU: 2)!"

"I activate Satellite Cannon Falcon's special ability! By using an overlay unit, Penthesilea loses 800 attack points for every Raidraptor in my graveyard! There are five Raidraptors in my graveyard, so your Penthesilea loses 4000 attack points!" Satellite Cannon Falcon used its cannons on its wings to blast Penthesilea as the spirits of each of Shay's Raidraptor monsters entered its chest orb. One green blast for each monster. Its back wings glowed every time this happened.

"So you have weakened Penthesilea, not that it would do you any good. She still has more attack points than any of your monsters." Gloria retorted to Shay's action.
Shay turned to Yuya, catching the pendulum duelist's attention. "Action Cards can change the duel around." Yuya blinked in confusion, before smiling and giving a thumbs up. This was a gamble, something that he enjoyed.
"Cannon Falcon, attack and take down the Tyler Sisters!" Satellite Cannon Falcon flew into the sky until it seemed to reach space. It readied all of its cannons, charging with energy. The emblem of the Raidraptors was created by its back wings, as its chest orb glowed.
Grace couldn't help but question the seemingly suicide move. "You're gonna attack when it has lower attack points than Penthesilea?!"
Jumping to the sides, Yuya and Shay both picked up an Action Card and activated them at the same time.
"I play the Action Spell High Dive! It makes my Satellite Cannon Falcon's attack points soar by 1000!" Shay increased his Raidraptor's attack by 1000 with his Action Card.

"And my Action Spell, Double Attack, will make Cannon Falcon twice as strong!"

"Now Shay's Satellite Cannon Falcon's the stronger monster!" Gong cheered. Celina saw what was gonna happen. "And thanks to Yuya's Miracle Rocket Show, they'll take 300 more points of damage than Satellite Cannon Falcon's attack points!"
Satellite Cannon Falcon shot its green beam from its chest orb, with the blasts from the cannons on its wings converting on it to make it even more powerful. The laser caused the balloons from Miracle Rocket Show to explode, bursting out more sparkling stars and galaxies.
"That's not gonna happen!" Gloria declared. "Your attack isn't going to work, because of Persistent Amazon's effect in our graveyard! By banishing my Amazoness Empress... your attack is negated!" A barrier protected Amazoness Penthesilea from Satellite Cannon Falcon's attack. "Looks like you, like, missed your target." Grace teased.
"I'm not done yet! I activate Rank-Up-Magic... Final Limit Force! Since I failed to destroy your monster, this card ranks up my Satellite Cannon Falcon into a monster that's four ranks higher!" Cannon Falcon turned into energy as it flew up into the Overlay Network portal in the sky.
"They say it's the phoenix that rises from the ashes after defeat... but they're wrong, it is the raptor! Go, Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! Fly high! Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon(ATK: 3800/DEF: 2800/RK: 12/OU: 2)!"
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 4650 = 8450
"Talk about an arsenal! That thing's massive!" Yuya exclaimed. Everyone was stunned and stared wide at the huge monster Shay had summoned.
"It's been a while since I've seen Shay summon this monster. It's his most powerful, but it's hard to summon." Yuto stated, while smugly smiling with confidence.
"And now it's my turn to make sure his gamble pays off!" At the same time, Yuya jumped again, grabbing an Action Card and activating it. "I activate Miracle Fire! It copies the effect of another Action Spell! And copying Double Attack is just the ticket, 'cause it doubles Fortress Falcon's attack all the way up to 7600!"
Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon(ATK: 3800 = 7600/DEF: 2800/RK: 12/OU: 2)
"Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon, attack Amazoness Penthesilea! Bombardment Blast Barrage!" Fortress Falcon prepared to shoot a barrage of missiles at Penthesilea.
"C'mon, you don't really think that it would work, did you? Or did you forget by banishing our last Amazoness fusion monster, Amazoness Pet Liger, from our graveyard, your attack fails!"
"Not a chance, for I have its ability. Final Fortress Falcon, use all your overlay units! Now, by banishing a Raidraptor xyz monster from my graveyard, my Falcon can attack again! And that goes for every Raidraptor in my graveyard!" Shay banished his Rise, Satellite Cannon, and Blaze Falcons from his graveyard, giving him 3 extra attacks.
Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon(ATK: 7600/DEF: 2800/RK: 12/OU: 2 = 0)
"I think not! By banishing Persistent Amazon from our graveyard, we only get attacked twice!" Grace declared.
Final Fortress Falcon launched a barrage of missiles twice. Each attack made the effect of Miracle Rocket Show spread further.
"And now Miracle Rocket Show deals you all the damage you just took! A heaping 5200 points!" Yuya exclaimed. Final Fortress Falcon flew high, covered in yellow flames, as it released another bright ray of light at the Tyler Sisters, decreasing their life points.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 8450 = 2250
Despite the damage they just took, the sisters, especially Grace, didn't seem to be bothered by it. In fact, they seem to enjoy it, and the dueltaining.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn." Shay ending his turn meant that Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon's attack points returned to normal.
Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon(ATK: 7600 = 3800/DEF: 2800/RK: 12/OU: 0)
"It's my turn, I draw! I'm activating the spell Amazoness Crown! And equipping it onto Penthesilea, it will really distinguish her as the true, ultimate ruler of the jungle!" Gloria's spell made a skeleton crown appear on Amazoness Penthesilea.
"I think it's time we take shot at adding another dragon to Penthesilea's trophy collection! This time, set your sights on Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
Yuya jumped onto one of the floating platforms and picked up an Action Card. "I activate Damage Banish! So now, we don't take any damage from your attack!" Even though Dark Rebellion Dragon was destroyed, Yuya and Shay didn't take any damage. But due to Penthesilea's special ability, they were again hit with 500 points of damage.
YUYA AND SHAY LP: 2100 = 1600
"You may avoided the brunt of that attack, but it's not over yet! Due to Amazoness Crown's effect, Penthesilea gets to attack again!" Penthesilea sheathed her axe and took her bow. An arrow materialized in it as she pulled the string back and took aim at Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
Yuya jumped to the ledge of a building and activated another Action Card that was there. "Don't count on it! I activate Evasion, so my dragon's able to dodge your attack!"
"Wrong!" Unexpectantly, Grace, who was on one of the floating platforms, was revealed to have picked up an Action Card herself. "I'm activating the Action Spell No Action! So your Evasion is, like, totally canceled!"
Yuya's Action Card was shattered, making so that the activation didn't happen. Amazoness Penthesilea then launched her arrow at Odd-Eyes. Shay, fortunately, picked up another Action Card. "I activate Encore! It lets me activate an Action Spell in our graveyard! And I choose Evasion!" Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon leapt out of the way of the arrow, effectively dodging it.
"You're not getting off that easy!" Gloria jumped to grab an Action Card, which surprised the Lancers. "I activate the Action Spell Action Blast! Now we'll have a blast when you lose 800 life points for activating your Action Card!" A blast from the Action Card Gloria played shot at Yuya and Shay, depleting them of 800 life points.
YUYA AND SHAY LP: 1600 = 800
Yuya grabbed a nearby Action Card. "I'm activating the Action Spell, Reaction Draw! Now, since I took effect damage, I get to draw a card!" Yuya declared as he drew a card.
"Well, if you're gonna keep, like, using Action Cards against us, then we'll do the same to you!" Grace delightfully declared, raring to use another Action Card. "One person's weapon is another's, am I wrong?" Gloria agreed with her sister, but in a less enthusiastic way than her.
"This is not good. If they use Action Cards, it's going to make it a whole lot harder to beat them." Yuto warned Yuya, feeling uneasy that the Lancers' own weapon would be used against them.
"Don't worry Yuto! I told you I would turn this duel around, and I will!" Yuya assured him as he drew a card. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon roared as if it was confirming Yuya's statement to Yuto. A new monster appeared in Yuya's eye as Odd-Eyes roared, causing Yuya to smile.
"Our show has been a blast, but it's time for the grand finale!"
Grace whistled at Yuya's declaration, heart beating fast. "Let's see what you got. Show me... show me your dueltaining!"
Yuya raised his arms as a spotlight shone on him. "Ladies and gentlemen! We've finally reached the climax of our show! As we can see, our opponents have a monster that has 4700 attack points and way more life points than we do! But nevertheless, I will win this duel on this turn!"
"You? Win? Are you planning to use Action Cards to boost your monsters' attack points again?" Gloria skeptically asked.
"Yes and no. Today's main performer will be a brand new one that I will summon for the first time! And to do that I need a certain card in the graveyard!" Yuya revealed the card he drew from Reaction Draw.
"I activate the spell Necro Mimicry! This card becomes the same as a card in the graveyard! But wait, there's more! I'm not limited to the cards in my graveyard, I'm allowed to choose a card in my opponent's graveyard as well!"
"What card could you possibly want in our graveyard?" Gloria asked in disbelief of the card's effect.
"This!" Yuya revealed as Necro Mimicry became the card he chose. "Polymerization! So I can now fuse my Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon with my Performapal Nightmare Knight(ATK: 1700/DEF: 0/LV: 4)!" The two monsters went into the Fusion Vortex as Yuya activated the card. A pillar of lava shot down to where the new monster was beginning to emerge.
"I Fusion Summon! A dragon so hot that it burns away all other monsters' attack points, before it even hits the field!" Dragon-shaped streams of flame emerged from the column and struck Amazoness Penthesilea, causing her to scream as her attack points dropped to zero.
Amazoness Penthesilea(ATK: 4700 = 0/DEF: 3600/LV: 11)
Shay ran and grabbed an Action Card before the "dragons" hit his monster. "I activate the Action Spell Mirror Barrier! So my Falcon is safe and sound!" The dragon-shaped blasts dissipated as soon as they hit the barrier of mirrors.
"No way!" "That can't be!" Grace and Gloria wailed as they saw their monster become powerless. "Yes, it can. So say hello to… Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!" Brave-Eyes busted itself out of the column of lava as it roared.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 2250 = 5250
"Sweet!" Grace cheered. Gloria just growled with a sour look on her face.
"And thanks to Brave-Eyes's part two of its special ability, it gains 100 attack points for every monster that just had their attack points drained away!"
Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon(ATK: 3000 = 3100/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)
"All right, it's showtime!" Yuya exclaimed as Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Raidraptor - Final Fortress Falcon entered two big blue and red rockets behind them.
"Commence countdown!" Yuya declared as he resumed his number three pose with his fingers and counted down. "Three... two... one! Blastoff!" The rockets blasted off. And just like the last time, they hit the bubbles, which turned into miniature galaxies and colorful stars. Grace and Gloria looked to each other, and they each dashed off to find an Action Card, which Yuya and Shay followed suit.
Gloria found and activated an Action Card first among the floating platforms. "I activate Evasion, so Penthesilea dodges your attack!" In retaliation, Shay activated the Action Card he picked up. "Sorry, but I picked up No Action! Which means your Evasion doesn't activate!"
At that moment, Grace picked an Action Card on a floating platform near her sister. "Yeah, well, I activate - " "So sorry! But that's not happening!" Yuya beat Grace to the punch by activating his Action Card first. "I play Action Crush! Any Action Card you picked up during this turn is crushed!"
With Grace's Action Card destroyed before she could activate it, and with no other visible Action Cards in sight, nothing could stop the rockets from crashing down on Amazoness Penthesilea depleting all of the Tyler Sisters' life points. And just like before, a bright light engulfed the sisters. The monsters did the same bow act, with Amazoness Penthesilea in the middle of the three monsters. Brave-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Final Fortress Falcon flew into the sky while being covered in yellow flames, before unleashing a bright light that showered Gloria and Grace, depleting all their life points.
GLORIA AND GRACE LP: 5250 = 0
Grace and Gloria, who were blinded by the light, didn't realize that they stepped back without any foothold behind them because they were already at the edge of their boards. They slipped and fell off the platforms. Closing their eyes, they braced for a hard impact upon landing. But it never came. Instead, they felt something soft on their shoulders. Opening their eyes, they saw that Yuya had caught them while riding Brave-Eyes.
When they looked at Yuya, questioning why he saved them, he just simply smiled and let them off when they got to the ground. They both fell to their knees in shocked stupor. Both of the sisters where in such a daze, they didn't do anything to stop the Lancers from leaving. The Lancers were long gone, soon enough.
"I can't believe it... they struck us down." Gloria finally uttered as her mind came back on track. Grace tearfully whimpered, "Starstruck down."
Cafeteria - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
The students were lined up for their meal. One of the male students was wondering something. "It's weird. There are two lines, but why is the majority of the male students in the same line I am? In fact, I'm pretty sure some of these guys already got their food. So why - "
His questioning thoughts were interrupted, as he saw why this was the case. In front of him, handing out his meal, was a beautiful woman. She had long black hair and wore glasses along with the cafeteria lady's outfit. For some reason, he felt this person was somewhat familiar.
"Is something wrong?" The lady asked, snapping the student out of his gaze. "N-n-no! Thank you very much!" The student thanked the lady, who handed him his meal. He quickly got out of line so the student behind him could take his food.
"I've noticed that there aren't that many students here. Did something happen?" The lady asked the next male student, who too was enchanted by her beauty. "Yeah. Most of them are resting from their duels because they really got pounded!" The student replied.
"Really? I guess someone really powerful had to do that to them." The lady commented in surprise. The student behind the one she was currently serving explained. "Yeah. I heard it was those powerful Lancer guys that the Professor has been having trouble with!"
The rest of the students joined in the chatter. "They may be few in numbers, but they're really putting a dent in our operations in the Xyz Dimension!" "I heard that Commander Phoenix was forced into a draw with one of them!" "You think that's bad? I heard they were able to return the people that were sealed into cards back to normal!" "That's bad news for the Arc Project!"
Listening to the chatter, the lady was barely able to contain her surprise. But luckily for her, no one else had noticed it, since they were all chatting away. The woman was revealed to be Alexis - as she flashed back to had led her here.
Sora had nominated Alexis to go to Duel Academy as their spy, due to her knowing Duel Academy the best and being old enough to pose as one of the new staff. He had also added that her beauty would make it easier to getting the info out of the younger males of the Academy. This was a reason Alexis didn't really like remembering, due to the number of boys who had tried to woo her before she beat them to a pulp in a duel.
So, with a simultaneous vote from the others that she'd be the one to go, she dyed her hair black and wore glasses for extra precaution. When the ship was ready to set sail, she sneaked up on and knocked out one of the cooks, stealing her clothes, replacing hers with normal clothing, and had hidden her in a warehouse 'till she got back. Alexis then acted as if she was a new cook and luckily for her, there were several other new staff, making it easier for her to blend in.
"Then that means... we can save them." Alexis touched her pocket where she had been keeping her friend, who had been sealed into a card during their escape. "We finally have hope... hope to save everyone."
"I heard that one of the seven captains of the Chaos Inquisition was dispatched to the Xyz with their squadron." "Yeah, it was the Sigma." "Perceptra's one cunning lady." "So are the other captains." "Makes ya wonder who's under the helmet." "Even so, I think the Sigma Squad's going to ask for help from that Resistance defector for clues on where they might be hiding."
That news made Alexis freeze up, but not enough to be noticed by the students. She looked down so no one could see her shocked expression. She hoped what she heard was wrong, but the students were still chatting about it.
"The Sigma were dispatched to the Xyz Dimension...? And there's a defector from the Resistance...?" She muttered quietly.
Duel Sanctuary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
"This isn't good..." Kite mentioned as Sylvio, Gong, and Celina were being treated for their injuries by Saya and another female member of the Resistance. "Now that the Tyler Sisters are here, things are going to get much harder."
"Gong feels ashamed. Gong failed to protect Gong's friends and was forced to leave everything to Yuya and Shay." Gong moped as he was being tended. "Don't be so hard on yourself, Gong. We're all safe, that's what counts." Celina told the Heavy Strong duelist, causing him to raise his head.
"We were just in a bit of bad luck! We could've beaten them!" Sylvio retorted, hissing in pain as Celina pressed a cotton swab dabbed with rubbing alcohol purposely on him to shut him up. "From the start, sharing a graveyard would've put Gong at a huge disadvantage, considering his deck is based only on having no spells or trap cards!" Celina scolded, applying the cotton swab again when Sylvio appeared to retort again, causing the boy to nearly cry in pain.
"Speaking of the Tyler Sisters..." Shay interrupted while he stood up. "Iggy said he came with the Chaos Inquisition's "Sigma Squad". Who are they, and who was that white female Buster Brigadier that chased us with Duel Runners?" The others started to wonder that too, until Celina broke the silence. "I've only heard rumors about the Chaos Inquisition when I was in Duel Academy, and what I heard about its leadership was not good."
Everybody's eyes were on the former Academy duelist. "What did you hear?" Allen asked. Celina sighed before telling them. "I heard that there are only seven captains, distinguishable by their white uniforms. And each in control of their own squadrons. With Madame Chaos, Lady Minerva, and Hydromancy being in sole control of the seven of them.
The seven squadrons are named: Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Omicron, Sigma, and Psi. Their captains are all rumored to be in possession of their own unique special abilities, just like their three commanders."
This caused nervous sweat to drip from those listening. Especially Shay. He remembered the female triad of the Court of Aces from his encounter with them in the Synchro Dimension. "If there are seven of those creeps under the command of those three in Duel Academy, then we're in for some serious trouble."
"In any case, we'd better change the teams and shifts to be better prepared for them." Shay told his friends. "But we'll do it tomorrow. Most of us are already tired and it's late, so we'll wait until tomorrow morning." Everyone agreed with it.
Except for Celina and Saya, who volunteered to tend the injuries of the others, everyone returned to their quarters for the night. Even after finishing tending to the injuries, the two girls decided to make sure everyone got a good night's sleep, resting properly like if they were supposed to be. While making sure their friends were asleep, Saya noticed that Celina's Duel Disk was busted up a little. It had multiple dents that were barely visible.
"Celina, your Duel Disk." Saya pointed at the Duel Disk. "It's dented."
"Oh, you're right. I guess since I've used it nonstop since I've left the Academy, I didn't really stop to give it proper maintenance." Celina chuckled as she held it up to get a better look at it.
"It's not good if you let it be. It may break down without you realizing it during a duel. I'll go see if Allen can lend us his tools, so we can fix it up a bit." Saya didn't wait for Celina to answer before she quickly left for Allen's room.
Celina examined her Duel Disk again. "It's been a while since I've gotten this. I've had it since I got to Duel Academy. Saya's right though, I need to get this repaired."
"Hm?" Celina noticed that there was something off with the bottom. Running her finger on it, she found that one of the seams on the bottom was a bit off. Scratching at it, the seam opened up to reveal a hidden compartment. Inside the compartment were two cards. Cards that she felt were familiar, even though she never saw them before. One was a spell card, the other a level 4 monster card with 1400 attack points and 1500 defense points.

Miracle Rocket Show(Continous Spell): You can only attack with monsters from the Extra Deck. Monsters your opponent controls cannot be destroyed by battle, also your opponent takes no battle damage. At the end of the Battle Phase: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the battle damage that was originally lost by this effect.
My OC Cards:
Chip Draw(Action Card): If an opponent dealt you damage and lowered the attack of a monster you control during battle, you can draw a card.
Persistent Amazon(Counter Trap): When an opponent's card activates when an Amazoness monster is attacking, activate this card and negate that card's effects until the end of this turn. If an Amazoness monster is attacke while this card is in the graveyard, banish one Amazoness fusion monster to negate that attack or you can banish this card from your graveyard.
Rank-Up-Magic Double Force(Normal Spell): Select one Raidraptor xyz monster you control, and use that monster to xyz summon a monster that's twice the selected monster's rank.
Action Blast(Action Spell): If an Action Card was activated, inflict 800 damage to the duelist that activated that card.
Reaction Draw(Action Spell): If you take damage from your opponent's card effect, draw one card.

Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 8): If an Odd-Eyes monster you control is destroyed, you can tribute another monster and summon this card from your hand. When a monster you control is targeted for an attack, send one Odd-Eyes to from your hand to the graveyard, or return one Odd-Eyes pendulum monster from your Pendulum Zone to your hand, and that monster cannot be destroyed in battle and you take no battle damage.
