Due to the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel game now out, I've decided to use it to help me construct my OC decks. Since it's way more efficient to know what kind of cards I want to use in my decks.

Duel Sancutary - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension

Celina stared at the two cards she found in her Duel Disk, confused on why they would be hidden there in the first place. The cards seemed to be nostalgic to her and brought a warm feeling to her chest, but she couldn't remember how she came in possession of the two cards. One thing for sure, was that these two cards were very important to her. With the feeling clear, she held the cards in her embrace.

For some reason, she noticed she was unconsciously crying. "Why am I crying? Why can't they stop?" She touched her tear-streaked cheek in bewilderment. "It feels as if I forgot something. Something important."

The headache from her time in the Synchro Dimension returned again. She clutched her head with her right hand. She saw him. The spiky grey-haired man from Yuya's recent dream who was a bit older than her but had his face obscured.

"Is that card special to you?" She asked in a different, older voice. "Yeah. It is the very first spell card I got and was a present from my parents for my eighth birthday." The man replied as he looked at the card.

"But its effect... can it really be helpful in a duel?" She read the effect and questioned its usefulness. The man nodded confidentially. "Every card has its purpose. If I can't find it, then it just means I'm not using it properly."

"True."

"Besides, when you look at it, doesn't look like you can bring smiles?" The man smiled wider, proceeding to be overlapped with the boy that Celina had recently seen in the Synchro Dimension when Yuri grabbed her hand.

Celina wiped her tears away when she heard Saya's footsteps. Since she didn't cry that hard, it wasn't noticed. Placing the cards back into her Duel Disk, she acted as if nothing was out of place as Saya approached her. However, she sweatdropped as Saya tripped and fell, scattering the repair tools and her deck all across the floor.

"You really are clumsy, huh?" Celina chuckled softly when seeing Saya's reddened face. The said girl pouted as her cheeks turned pink from embarrassment. Celina helped the bespectacled girl by picking up all her scattered cards and handing them back to her.

"Thanks..." Saya thanked Celina for helping her as she took her deck back and put it in her Deck Case. They then got to work on repairing the dents in Celina's Duel Disk.

As they repaired, Celina remembered what Grace of the Tyler Sisters had said. About a defector from the Resistance. "Shay's face was so dark and visibly shaken when Grace mentioned that. And based on Yuya's face when he asked Yuto, I am guessing he was making the same face too.

Whoever this guy was, he must have been really important to them... and it may be the same for Allen and Saya as well. I don't think it's the right time, but I won't have any other opportunity than this. It's just me and Saya awake right now. So this may be my only chance without provoking the others."

"Saya." Celina began, causing the girl to halt and to look up from the repair work. "The Tyler Sisters said something about a Resistance defector, is it true?"

Saya dropped the tool she had in her hand and Celina's Duel Disk she was holding when she heard the question. Her face turned solemn and paled, making Celina feel guilty from asking. Tears started to form from her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away.

"Yes, unfortunately. It's just very hard to remember him... but you guys deserve the truth..." Saya tried to compose herself. "Seems my hunch was right." Celina thought sadly. "It was someone special to them."

"He was a senior in Clover School. Even though he was a student himself, he was already like a teacher to the entire school. He even assisted in giving classes to both the Spade and Clover schools. He also was very close to Yusho Sakaki and was a student of his." Saya explained while resuming the repairs on the Duel Disk.

Celina was perplexed. "But if that's the case, why would he betray you?"

Saya sadly shook her head has she finished the repairs. "We have no idea why he would join the enemy. The last time we saw him, he said it was to fulfill a promise. We haven't seen him since..."

Just when Saya looked like she was gonna cry again, Celina ended their conversation. "If this conversation goes on, it will only bring her more pain." "Thanks for telling me. Let's get some sleep."

Celina took back her Duel Disk from Saya's hands before suggesting they call it a night, via motion. As they walked to their rooms, Celina remembered that she had almost left her deck behind. Celina told Saya to go ahead of her and went back to get her deck. After retrieving her deck, Celina noticed that there was a card lying not too far from her deck.

"Isn't this... Saya's?" Celina pondered. "Guess we missed this one." Making sure there were no other cards left, Celina put the card in her deck, with the intent of giving it back to Saya tomorrow.

You Show Duel School - City - Fusion Dimension

After gaining enough information, Alexis returned to the You Show Duel School. When she arrived, she was greeted by everyone who was glad she was okay and let out a sigh of relief upon seeing her. They told her how worried they were about her. The only one who wasn't worried was Sora, who believed she would return, without a doubt, safely.

Gathering once again in the main hall of the mountain building, Alexis told the others what she had learned.

"The good news: The Lancers are in the Xyz Dimension, and they found a way to return the people who were turned into cards back to normal." Everyone, particularly Yusho, Zuzu, and Sora, were very happy to hear that. Alexis' expression then turned sad and worried, as did her tone. "The bad news: Someone defected from the Resistance and Captain Perceptra and her Sigma Squad were sent there to wipe them out."

"That's not good! Everyone in the Xyz Dimension will be overwhelmed!" Zuzu worriedly thought about Yuya and the others.

"Calm down, Zuzu. While it's true that this is not good news, do not forget that the Synchro Dimension also has their backs. I'm sure they'll be there soon to help back them up." Sora tried to assure the pink-haired girl.

Yusho nodded in agreement and patted his hand on her head. "Declan is smart. He'll find a way to persevere through it. I'm sure they'll be here soon to help us deal with Leo."

"I learned that the next group for the raid for the Synchro Dimension is being put together and will depart from the Academy in three days. So, let's prepare our strategy." Alexis then put up a newer map of the Academy that she was able to swipe.

"This is the newest map of Duel Academy. It seems that the closest route to the Professor is here." Alexis pointed to an edge of the island's northern side. "Unfortunately, it's impossible for us all to go. So we'll need to split up."

"They'll have no idea that we're coming. Leo's chamber must be there. The ones who will go with me to confront him will be Alexis, Sora, and Zuzu." Yusho appointed his team.

"The others must be split up into three other teams. The second and third teams will go to the eastern and southern sides of the island, respectively. Find the right spots between the harbor and the Academy. Once you find the right spots, light it up. Draw out as many of Duel Academy's forces as you can and distract them for as long as you can. Make tens look like dozens to them." Yusho appointed the other teams by writing down the names of who would be in which one on the board.

"And finally, the fourth group will defend the boat. If the worst-case scenario should happen, it's our only escape route." Yusho appointed the last group.

No one made any objection. All the while Yusho was explaining, he was deeply worrying about his son and his students in Heartland. "I know that when I said Declan would be able to persevere, I meant it. But I'm still worried about Yuya and my students in the Xyz Dimension. I wish I could help them, but we don't have a way to get across dimensions.

Yuya... Kite... Allen... Saya... please be safe."

Heartland City - Xyz Dimension

Celina yawned as she walked with Saya, Iggy, and Yuya through the ruined city. "Man, if it weren't for my training in Duel Academy, I would've fallen asleep during the meeting. Good thing we increased the minimum to four from two people per shift, and that each shift has two hours."

Concerned about the girl's tired expression, Yuya asked, "You look sleepy, Celina. You didn't get enough sleep?"

"Yeah. I had some trouble sleeping." Celina admitted.

"You could've asked someone to take your place and taken the next shift after sleeping in." Saya took out her Duel Disk to contact the hideout, but Celina stopped her.

"It's okay. This is nothing compared to the training I went through in Duel Academy." Celina assured her friends.

"Speaking of that, did you go to Duel Academy before Dennis brought you here, Iggy?" Yuya asked the purple-haired fusion fighter.

"Yeah. But I didn't get to look around the place much. The only places I saw were the Professor's chamber and the room for the teleportation device."

"You met the Professor in person?!" Yuya asked with wide eyes and half-shouting his question.

"Yeah and let me tell you. Professor Leo Akaba's intimidating stature makes it clear that he's one powerful duelist."

Iggy's voice of opinion of the Professor made Yuya realize something. "Wait. What did you just say?"

"Oh, right. I guess Declan hasn't told you guys yet. The Professor is his father, Leo Akaba." Celina revealed, shocking Yuya.

"The Professor is the founder of the Leo Corporation and the Leo Institute that went missing?!" Yuya exclaimed in disbelief. But then he remembered everything Declan had said and done, along with what Moon Shadow and Riley had told him in the Synchro Dimension.

"It's gotta be hard for Declan. Being forced to fight your own family." Yuya found himself sympathizing with his Lancer leader for the first time.

"It is a good idea for the both of you to be out here like this?" Saya asked, looking at Yuya and Celina. "You're both being targeted by Duel Academy. I know you're both powerful duelists, definitely more powerful than I am. And perhaps maybe even the Resistance. But I'm still worried..."

Celina blinked and stared hard at Saya as she realized that Saya had stopped looking at her with uncomfortable eyes. Saya was now looking at her like she was a friend of hers. Celina smiled softly, as she was relieved.

"Don't worry, Saya. We'll be fine. As long as we work together, we can overcome anything." Yuya cheerfully told the bespectacled girl.

"Quite the bold declaration, Yuya."

The group turned around toward the source of the voice, finding Dennis standing on one of the destroyed buildings while nonchalantly waving to them. He landed in front of them, placing his hand on his waist.

"Dennis!" Yuya, Iggy, and Celina exclaimed in harmonious hostility.

"Who's he?" Saya asked, being the only one who wasn't familiar with the orange-haired boy.

"He was one of the Lancers, but turns out, he was an undercover agent for Duel Academy. He was sent to the Standard to spy on Zuzu and me, until Shay revealed his true colors in the Synchro Dimension." Celina explained to the Resistance girl.

"Turns out he was my dad's student as well. And an indirect cause of the invasion and the one who helped orchestrate Lulu's capture." Yuya added, shocking Saya.

"Then it's his fault that any of this happened?!" Saya stared angrily at Dennis.

"To be precise, I am partly at fault. I was just following orders. Like now." Dennis smiled at Yuya. "You know, I didn't expect that you would escape from the base, Yuya... But then again, I should've been more careful choosing the hired help..." Dennis looked at Iggy, looking sharply at him even though he kept smiling.

"What caused you to have a sudden change of heart, Iggy?" Dennis asked his former newest recruit.

"My vendetta was settled. Our deal was finished." Iggy simply replied. The straight voice without a hitch made it obvious that no matter what Dennis did, nothing would change his mind and had no desire to continue this chitchat.

"Straight to the point, huh? And just when we were starting to bond." Dennis sighed; feigning being hurt emotionally.

"Enough clowning around, Dennis. We know why you're here." Celina stepped in to duel, Duel Disk already on her wrist.

"I take it that you want a rematch from our duel in the Arc League Championship?" Dennis raised his brow in amusement. "That's right! I won't count that as a true duel, because you were holding back. And if anyone's going to make you pay for what you've done, it's me!" Celina proclaimed as she activated her Duel Disk blade.

"Wait, Celina! You are the one he's after, so let us deal with him!" Saya attempted to persuade the tomboy. Iggy joined in. "You don't know the extent of his deck, but he knows yours! Stand back with Yuya! Let us handle this!"

"I'm tired of everybody saying that I need to back off like some helpless princess! I'm not helpless and I'm not a princess that everybody needs to protect!" Celina argued, affirming she was not going to back down no matter what they said.

Yuya joined the argument. "Then at least let one of us to duel with you! Dennis may have something up his sleeve since he already knows our decks and strategies! But if we do it together - "

"I'll be fine! Declan gave me some new cards, remember? I will defeat him, alone! And this time, it will be for real!" Celina vowed to her friends, glaring daggers at Dennis.

"Jeepers, you can be very scary sometimes, Celina. But I can understand, I'm not going to hold back this time. I'm going to throw everything I have at you." Dennis activated his Duel Disk.

GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER

[Let's duel!]

"It's ladies first! I summon the sweet, yet strong, Lunalight Purple Butterfly(ATK: 1000/DEF: 1000/LV: 3) to get things started!" Celina summoned her purple feminine butterfly monster in Attack Mode.

"Next I activate Polymerization! I fuse Lunalight Blue Cat(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4) and Lunalight White Rabbit(ATK: 800/DEF: 800/LV: 2)! By combining the power of these two magnificent monsters, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 2400/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)!" Celina summoned her ace fusion monster right off the bat.

"I place two cards facedown and end my turn."

"You're really straightforward, aren't you? Even though you have new cards, you're still using the same old tactics. But they won't do you any good against me, since I already know how your deck works." Dennis narrowed his eyes, alarming Celina.

"Anyway, it's my turn. And I summon Performage Bubble Gardna(ATK: 800/DEF: 2000/LV: 4/PS: 2)." A childlike female Spellcaster wearing a pink outfit and had a crab-like staff appeared in Attack Mode.

"And because I summoned her, I can summon Performage Flimsy Slimmer(ATK: 100/DEF: 1200/LV: 4/PS: 3)!" A film-like Spellcaster appeared on the field, also in Attack Mode.

Dennis revealed the Polymerization card he had in his hand. "And just like you, I also activate Polymerization. I fuse Bubble Gardna and Flimsy Slimmer! Let your magic and majesty mix, mingle, merge and become one, one with the power to both delight and destroy! I Fusion Summon! Performage Trapeze Witch(ATK: 2400/DEF: 1800/LV: 7)!"

"I take it that this is your true fusion monster." Celina commented. Dennis flicked his fingers at Celina in confirmation. "Bingo! In our last duel, I refrained from using xyz monsters because you'd further misunderstand. And because I was a spy, I couldn't use Fusion Summoning or else I'd blow my cover. But now that the truth is out, I can go all out!

And I'll equip her with this, the spell Ancient Gear Mask!" A mechanical mask covered Trapeze Witch's left eye as she laughed maniacally.

"Here goes! Trapeze Witch, attack Lunalight Cat Dancer!" Dennis' monster grabbed its wand and swung like it was a trapeze toward Celina's monster.

"But those monsters both have the same attack points!" Saya exclaimed.

"Not for much longer! Trapeze Witch's special ability activates! She zaps away 600 attack points from Cat Dancer!" Trapeze Witch launched stars at Cat Dancer, decreasing her attack points by 600.

Lunalight Cat Dancer(ATK: 2400 = 1800/DEF: 2000/LV: 7)

"Now Celina's Cat Dancer is weaker than Trapeze Witch!" Iggy exclaimed.

"Get an Action Card, Celina!" Yuya told Celina, which the girl promptly did. She jumped from floating platform to floating platform and was just about to grab an Action Card when…

"Oh, no, you don't! While my Trapeze Witch is wearing her lovely mask, you can't activate spell or trap cards while she's attacking!" Celina growled, as she was rendered helpless to stop Dennis' attack with any Action Cards.

"And the mask releases her inner fury to deal you double the damage when she destroys your kitty!"

Trapeze Witch kicked Lunalight Cat Dancer, destroying Celina's only monster. Celina was covered in smoke from the explosion of Cat Dancer's destruction as she received the damage.

CELINA LP: 4000 = 2800

"I place two cards facedown and end my turn." Dennis ended his turn. "I hope you can entertain us, Celina. But I'll tell you this in advance. You can't beat someone who knows your deck. I have the perfect strategy to seal your deck."

"We'll see about that, Dennis!" Celina declared as she drew a card.

"And to make good on my word, I play the spell card Lunalight Entrance Dance! Since I have no cards in my hand, and I have a Lunalight fusion monster in my graveyard, I am allowed to add four Lunalights from my deck to my hand." Celina added Lunalight Wolf(ATK: 2000/DEF: 1800/LV: 5/PS: 1), Lunalight Tiger (ATK: 1200/DEF: 800/LV: 3/PS: 5), Lunalight Crimson Fox(ATK: 1800/DEF: 600/LV: 4), and Lunalight Kaleido Chick(ATK: 1400/DEF: 800/LV: 4) to her hand thanks to her spell.

"And with Scale 1 Lunalight Wolf and Scale 5 Lunalight Tiger, I can now set the Pendulum Scale!" Celina proceeded to place her two monsters into the Pendulum Zones. "Now I can summon monsters levels 2 through 4 at the same time! I Pendulum Summon, the blazing brilliant Lunalight Crimson Fox! And the spectacularly colorful and mesmerizing Lunalight Kaleido Chick!

Kaleido Chick's special ability activates! By sending my Lunalight Leo Dancer(ATK: 3500/DEF: 3000/LV: 10) to the graveyard, my Kaleido Chick turns into her!" Kaleido Chick turned into Leo Dancer as Celina raised her hand towards Lunalight Wolf in her Pendulum Zone.

"I now activate Lunalight Wolf's Pendulum Ability! By banishing monsters on my field, I can Fusion Summon! I fuse Crimson Fox and Kaleido Chick! By combining the blazing cleverness of a fox, and the majesty of a mighty feline, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! Now appear sleek creature of the night, and ready those razor-sharp claws! Lunalight Panther Dancer(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2500/LV: 8) is on the prowl!" Spinning in the full moon, Panther Dancer readied her claws for battle.

"And now I activate Lunalight Purple Butterfly's special ability. By releasing her, I can give my Panther Dancer a 1000 more attack points!"

Lunalight Panther Dancer(ATK: 2800 = 3800/DEF: 2500/LV: 8)

"Talk about ferocity! Now Celina's all claws and Dennis is about to get scratched!" Yuya cheered.

"Panther Dancer, attack Performage Trapeze Witch, Cataclawsmic Strike!" Panther Dancer lunged at Trapeze Witch with raised claws.

Dennis grinned, making it obvious to his opponents that he was expecting this. "I activate the trap Solemn Balloon! By giving up 1500 of my life points, I can destroy your panther!"

DENNIS LP: 4000 = 2500

"What?!" Celina exclaimed.

Panther Dancer's attack was blocked by a balloon-like barrier protecting Trapeze Witch. When the claw seemingly broke it, the transparent barrier exploded, destroying the Lunalight monster. Celina was nearly blown away by the force of the explosion. Already expecting a trick like this, Celina activated one of her facedowns.

"I had a feeling you would set me up with that! 'Cause I have the trap Lunalight Renewal to counter that! Now, because you destroyed a Lunalight fusion monster, I can bring my Leo Dancer who's resting in my graveyard out to play!"

"Sorry to say, but I expected that. I know that you've been trying to evolve your game after your duel with Obelisk Force, but you're still focusing on power!"

Dennis pointed to his facedown as he revealed it. "And that will be your Achilles' heel! I activate Banishment Circle Sorcery! Because you special summoned while I control Trapeze Witch, this trap activates and banishes your Leo Dancer!" "That's not gonna happen, Dennis! Leo Dancer is immune to your cards's effects!" Celina told him as an ominous magic circle appeared underneath her only monster. "Oh, no, it will! Because even with your Leo's special ability, my magic circle is still able to banish her!" Much to her horror, Celina could only watch as Lunalight Leo Dancer screamed as she forcibly vanished from the field.

"You may have banished my Leo Dancer, but I activate Lunalight Preparation! It adds two Lunalights to my hand!"

"So what? What good will it do you if your only three fusion monsters are gone? Two of them have been sent to the graveyard, and one just got banished!" Dennis questioned with a hint of mockery in his tone.

Celina growled in frustration as she was forced to acknowledge that. "I... I end my turn." Celina did with reluctance.

"No way... In just two turns, Dennis completely destroyed Celina's entire Extra Deck." Yuya said in dismay upon seeing Celina's expression.

"Now then... let's get on with the show! With my Scale 2 Performage Reversal Dancer(ATK: 100/DEF: 100/LV: 1/PS: 2) and my Scale 6 Performage Fire Dancer(ATK: 1400/DEF: 1200/LV: 4/PS: 6), I set the Pendulum Scale! Now I can summon monsters levels 3 through 5 all at the same time! I Pendulum Summon!" Dennis declared his special summon in a singsong voice. "Performage Bubble Gardna and Performage Flimsy Slimmer!

Next, I overlay Bubble Gardna and Flimsy Slimmer in order to build the Overlay Network! Now my dueling ace is going to put you in your place! I Xyz Summon! Put your hands together for my air full wonderful worker, Performage Trapeze Magician(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2)!"

"He can Xyz Summon?!" Saya was taken aback, since she was not expecting that a member of Duel Academy would be using their dimension's own summoning method.

"It was necessary for me to blend in with the people of this dimension that I learn Xyz Summoning. But I'll admit, this is my most preferably chosen ace. Back before the invasion, I just so happened to find Lulu when this monster picked her up from the audience while I was doing a show." Dennis explained his first encounter with Lulu to Saya.

"How could you do that to Lulu?!" Saya protested. Yuto, who was inside Yuya, shared the same anger Saya had.

Dennis simply shrugged off Saya's anger. "It doesn't matter now. The past is past, so there isn't really a reason to talk about it now. But just like Lulu, I'm taking Celina to Duel Academy, this time with Yuya as a bonus."

"But just like last time, I am not going back under your terms! And that goes for Yuya as well!" Celina strongly interjected, despite her disadvantage.

"Ooh, Celina. That's so scary. Tough words from a mediocre duelist. But if that's what you want, I'll have Trapeze Magician activate his special ability to allow my Trapeze Witch to attack you directly twice!"

Performage Trapeze Magician(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/RK: 4/OU: 2 = 1)

Despite knowing she couldn't activate any Action Cards, Celina still went for one, hoping one could still help her in this situation. She found one, but much to her frustration, it wouldn't be any help. After looking at her Action Card, she realized it was too late to avoid Trapeze Witch's kick, causing her to stumble on the ground.

CELINA LP: 2800 = 400

Before the second attack came, Celina activated her Action Card. "I activate the Action Card I just picked up, Damage Draw! Because I took over 2000 points of damage, I can draw two cards!"

Celina noticed that one of the two cards she just drew was the card Saya left behind last night. "This is Saya's! With me being so tired and the meeting, I forgot to give it back to her!"

Putting that thought aside, she picked the other card she just drew as Performage Trapeze Witch made her second attack. "I'm activating Lunalight Brown Bear(ATK: 1900/DEF: 800/LV: 4)'s special ability! That mask of yours may prevent me from using my spells and traps, but not my monsters. Which is bad for you, especially since I can use Brown Bear's special ability to summon her. And her attack points become the same as your Witch's!" Celina summoned a female monster that wore a brown-colored version of Blue Cat's suit but was bear-themed: with brown bear ears and a tail.

Lunalight Brown Bear(ATK: 1900 = 2400/DEF: 800/LV: 4)

"But because of my Witch's special ability, your bear loses 600 attack points, which means you lose!"

"Not with Lunalight Brown Bear's ability! Once per turn, she can negate a monster's special ability! So say bye-bye to Trapeze Witch's special ability!"

Brown Bear raised her fist and intercepted Trapeze Witch's kick. Sparks were created from the collision as the two females clashed. The two of them were bounced back by each other's attack before they both disappeared.

"I still have Trapeze Magician! And now he'll swing his size 16s over to you!"

As Trapeze Magician attacked, Celina grabbed a nearby Action Card just as he was closing in on her. Without Trapeze Witch and her Ancient Gear Mask, Celina was free to activate Action Cards whenever she wanted.

"I play the Action Card, Big Escape! Which means your "big finale" is canceled!" Celina successfully saved herself from being defeated, much to the relief of her friends who were watching, though they all knew that it didn't change the fact that she was in quite a pickle right now.

"Even don't you have a monster match up to me, you want to still keep going? Well, I'll humor you. You're up." Dennis concluded his turn.

"This is not good. Celina's completely out of monsters that could match up to Dennis's. And she only has three cards left in her hand." Yuya worriedly looked at her.

"Looks like we'll have to jump in if she can't pull it off on her next draw." Iggy readied his Duel Disk. "Celina..." Saya's hands formed a semblance of prayer as she watched the duel. Her worry grew as time passed.

"They're right. Even if I use my monsters with lower attack points and power them up with Action Cards, it would be too risky. I only have 400 life points left. My only hope to win this duel and wipe that smug smirk off Dennis's face is this next draw. And while I have faith that my friends will protect me if I lose, I will not give up until the last card has been played!"

"I... draw!" Celina got on with what could be her last turn. Looking at the card she drew, her eyes widened. It was the mysterious spell card she found last night. One of her mysterious precious cards.

"What can I do with this card?! Does it really mean that I lost?" Celina was close to throwing in the towel until she felt her heart beating fast as she saw a vision of a shadowed figure. The same headache from last night hit her again. But instead of the gray-haired man, she saw herself, the boy, who was revealed to be a violet-haired boy, and the girl, whose hair was colored silver. The girl was holding what looked like two plushie dolls in each of her arms. But they too were obscured, so she couldn't see what they looked like. What she could make out was that they both wore what looked like dresses, making them what were likely female dolls. She was also a little girl now. And they were in one of Duel Academy's gardens.

"Hey, sis. How many times is it now that Celina has lost to us?" The boy asked. "I believe it was about twenty-five times with each of us, my dear brother." The girl replied with a smile.

"Are you two going to make fun of me again? I'm telling you this, one of these days I'll knock you off your high horses!"

"You're always bad at giving up. That's your greatest strength."

"Huh?" Celina was puzzled by what the girl meant.

"No matter the hurdle, you always face it without fear. You will learn from your mistakes and correct your weaknesses to become stronger, and in response, we grow stronger. In other words, we get stronger, together." Celina noticed the boy and girl smiled in relief and joy, which confused her.

"We find that side of you being enduring." The smiles the boy and girl had after that comment became brighter. Their grins made her face become flushed with red and her heart beat fast. She didn't know what to say as she struggled to find the words as the boy rummaged through his deck.

"Celina, I entrust this card to you." The boy offered a card to her, the same spell card she found last night in her Duel Disk.

"Why are you giving me this? Isn't it one of your most cherished cards?" Celina asked, hesitant to take it.

"Right now, I am unable to use this card to its full potential. I still need to improve myself. My monsters are also in agreement. Until I am ready, I'm entrusting it to you. Of course, you can use it if you want." The boy explained his reasoning while still offering out the card.

"You're the person we trust the most, other than each other as siblings. This is why I can trust you without any doubt." The boy's voice, true to his words, didn't have any hesitation. Only sincerity.

"Speaking of that..." The girl put the doll she was holding in her left arm before she dug through her pocket and presented a card as well to her. "I want you to take this. I already gave my brother its counterpart, and I want you to have this one." "Isn't this one of your precious cards too?" Celina asked, incredulously.

"Yeah, but this is one of my duplicates. I have two copies of each of the two cards, and I want my two most cherished people to have 'em. After all, you're all that I have that's close to an actual family."

Celina looked at the cards still offered to her in wonder. A lightbulb then popped into her head. She took out her deck and picked out a card. Just like the boy, she offered the card to him as well.

"If that's the case, then I'll do the same." This surprised the boy and girl, who just looked at the card.

"Celina..."

"Until the three of us become top duelists, we'll keep each other's cards! When we reach the top, I'll give you back your card, and you give me back my card!" Celina looked at the boy, inwardly jumping while waiting for his response.

After a few seconds, the boy chuckled before laughing softly. "Okay then. It's a promise. Let's become the top duelists. But we'll be number one while you're number two."

Celina pouted as she punched the boy repeatedly, which he blocked with his left arm while laughing. "Just watch! One of these days, I'm going to knock you both off your top spots!"

Then, the two children accepted the offered cards.

"It's a promise then."

"That's right...! I made a promise. I can't lose now! That just isn't my thing! I will become the best top duelist I can be, so I can't lose now!"

As if responding to her will to win, her bracelet glowed softly. She noticed that a light was coming from her Extra Deck. The shadowed figure from her vision slowly became clearer. It took the form of a female warrior that was similar to her fusion monsters. Saya's card and the card she received from the boy also came into her vision. Then everything became clear, her path to victory.

"What's wrong? Finally admitting defeat?" Dennis teased Celina, who had gone silent for a few minutes after drawing the card.

When she looked up at him, Dennis was surprised. The look in Celina's eyes wasn't despair, but confidence. Confidence that she would win, even though she had a very little chance of doing so. One may write it off as simply a bluff, but Celina was not one to bluff. That just wasn't her.

"Dennis, I'll say it again. Yuya and I am not going back to Duel Academy under your terms! And I'll never lose to you!" Celina declared as she took one card from her left hand.

"I activate the spell Smile Universe!" Celina activated the mysterious spell card she found in her Duel Disk last night. When was activated, in a similar manner to Smile World, smiling icons in stars, circles, and flowers filled the air. However, it formed into a pillar and the area around them became a space that had smiling icons on the planets and galaxies.

"Smile... Universe...?" Yuya muttered in amazement.

"Celina had a card like this?!" Iggy exclaimed.

"This is almost like Smile World!" Saya was mesmerized by the beauty of the card's effect. Her eyes were sparkling with astonishment.

Dennis, on the other hand, lowered his guard the moment the card was activated. He looked all around him. Every sight that Smile Universe reached. He furrowed his brows. Suddenly, the scenery around him changed. He wasn't in Heartland anymore. He was in one of Duel Academy's gardens. And he was younger too. Nobody else was in the park, except for a boy and two girls.

The boy had violet hair mixed with pink hair. He was wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt with a left chest pocket and orange buttons, white pants, and brown shoes.

The one of the girls had indigo hair tied with a yellow ribbon. She wore an open magenta short-sleeved shirt with purple lining and pointed shoulders. Underneath her shirt, she wore another one that was peach colored with a white collar and had three yellow stars in the middle. She also wore a white skirt over black shorts. Her white boots had peach soles, with magenta toes and yellow stars on the toes.

The other girl was a silver-haired with her hair in a long, single braid and had two black fringes going to the sides of her head, making them seem like a circlet, or crown. She wore a light purple dress with a white collar and gold lining, beige shorts, and white low heels.

The boy and indigo-haired girl were dueling as the other girl watched them with two plushie dolls with dress-like clothing sitting on her sides as she sat down on a nearby bench. From how they were laughing and cheering with smiling faces, he could tell that they were having fun with the duel. The boy then beat the girl, who pouted and promised that she would beat him next time. Dennis chuckled at that. Interested in the trio, he slowly approached them, applauding for the wonderful duel. But they all had obscured faces when they looked at him, so he couldn't tell what they looked like.

"Are you a new student? I've never seen you before." The indigo-haired girl asked while crossing her arms.

"Yep! I'm Dennis McField! I just started attending this school a month ago. And you are...?"

"I'm C•••••." I'm Y•••, and this is my sister Y•••."

"Wait. Who are you?" A strong headache attacked Dennis, waking him up from what seemed to be an illusion. Still, he had a strange feeling in his heart. That those three were somehow important to him. He focused back on the duel when Celina began her turn again.

"With this, I can summon my Lunalight fusion monsters in my graveyard back to my field by negating their special abilities. So my cats are using their nine lives to come back for more!" Lunalight Cat Dancer and Panther Dancer came back to the field but were now normal monsters.

"Now here's the bad news. My opponent gains life points equal to the total attack points of the monsters I summoned." This surprised everyone, even Dennis.

DENNIS LP: 2500 = 7700

"Why would she increase Dennis's life points?" Iggy looked at Celina as if she was mad.

"Even if she attacked with her monsters and destroy Dennis's Trapeze Magician, he still has enough life points to stay in the game!" Saya added, sharing the confusion.

Yuya and Yuto were so mesmerized by card, so they didn't respond. For some reason, it gave them a sense of nostalgia when looking at it. They were wondering why they were like that. "Is it because it is similar to Smile World? No. It's giving us a warm feeling inside. Like we've been waiting to see it. But why is it that this card means so much to us?"

Yuya realized he was crying. "Why am I crying? Why is it that this card creates these tears?"

"That's not happening. No one can attack with the monsters that are summoned this turn, thanks to Smile Universe." Celina finished explaining the card's effect.

"No one can attack? That goes for you too. Why play a card like that? It's practically useless in this situation." Dennis questioned the girl who still kept her determined face.

"Every card has its uses. If I can't find it, that means I'm not using it to my full potential. I perfectly know what I'm doing." Celina took another card from her hand, briefly glancing at Saya.

"I activate the spell card, Fairy Dusk! Now Smile Universe's effect won't affect me and my monsters!" Celina activated Saya's card, inwardly telling the girl that she borrowed her strength for this one time. A blue pixie came out of the card and rained blue magical dust on Celina and her monsters, preventing them from being affected by Smile Universe.

"That's my card!" Saya exclaimed. "Celina must've found it after I spilled my deck all over the floor last night."

"So? You can attack now, but you won't be able to deal out damage that will enable you to win the duel right now." Dennis reminded her, but Celina was unfazed and instead took the last card in her hand.

"You're right, it won't. Not until I activate Lunalight Yellow Dog(ATK: 500/DEF: 2000/LV: 3)'s special ability! By sending this card from my hand to the graveyard, I can bring back my Leo Dancer!" Lunalight Leo Dancer returned to the field, in-between Cat and Panther Dancer.

Dennis raised his brow, still not getting what Celina was trying to do. "So what? Even if you have all your fusion monsters attack me, I will still have enough life points to survive."

"Dennis, as a student of Duel Academy, you should remember that there's a special type of Fusion Summoning that need specific monsters in order to Fusion Summon."

Dennis blinked at the sudden apparent change of subject. "Yeah. Contact Fusion. It's a special form of Fusion Summoning that requires that we release the required monsters, banish them, or send them back to our decks to summon fusion monsters."

"There's a kind of Fusion Summoning like that?! I've never heard of it!" Iggy, a fusion duelist himself, couldn't hide his surprise.

Dennis chuckled at that before lecturing Iggy. "Of course you wouldn't, Iggy. It's only taught at Duel Academy in the Fusion Dimension, where we have evolved Fusion Summoning beyond the simplistic methods of the Standard."

"That's right. And I'm going to pull it off!" Celina revealed, her smile widening at Dennis' expression saying that he didn't believe her.

"I fuse Lunalight Cat Dancer, Panther Dancer, and Leo Dancer!" Celina raised her arms and joined her hands above her head as she released her monsters.

"By combining the reflexes of a fierce feline, the precision of a panther, and majesty of a lion, I can create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! The legendary, the powerful, the graceful Lunalight Liger Dancer(ATK: 3700/DEF: 2900/LV: 12)!"

Celina summoned a female Beast-Warrior monster with extremely long black hair, which dropped to the ground; towards the bottom, her hair was plaited into big braids that were tied off by a bandage-like band. Her outfit consisted of a ruby-red corset that reveled her midriff and top half of her chest. A belt rested on her hip and above her torn, black jean trousers with a chain, multiple belts wrapped around her right leg with a few spiraling towards her opposing leg's bottom half. Over her corset, a black jacket was worn in the form of a robe with red-velvet lacing. Protective armor adorned her footwear, right shin, and arms. She carried Leo Dancer's sword in her left hand, while her right was equipped with claws similar to Panther Dancer's.

Celina's new monster danced as she slashed with her weapons and assumed a pose, implicating she was ready to battle.

Yuya, Iggy, Saya, and Dennis were rendered speechless at the new fusion monster that Celina had summoned. It embodied everything that Celina was. At first glance, it would appear that she was impulsive and wild, but grace and dignity were hidden underneath her appearance.

Dennis shook his head, snapping himself out of the astonishment, clapping his face while telling himself to get a hold of himself. He then gave Celina an applause. "Bravo, Celina! You've successfully pulled off a Contact Fusion! But your new feline's still not strong enough to beat me, and I'll win on my next turn."

Celina gave Dennis a cheeky smile. What came out of her mouth was a surprise to him and the others.

"Wrong, it's showtime!"

Celina looked at Yuya, wordlessly apologizing for using his signature catchphrase. Understanding what she was trying to tell him, Yuya gave his approval by smiling back at Celina and giving her a thumbs up with a wink.

"Liger Dancer, attack Trapeze Magician! Lunar Quartet!"

Lunalight Liger Dancer lunged at Trapeze Magician with her claw and sword as indigo-colored energies took the form of the monsters used to Fusion Summon her materialized behind her.

"Lunalight Liger Dancer's special ability now activates! You see, she gains attack points equal to my opponent's life points when she attacks!" Celina declared while pointing to the dumbstruck Dennis as the indigo-colored energy forms moved to cover her weapons in their energy.

Lunalight Liger Dancer(ATK: 3700 = 11400/DEF: 2900/LV: 12)

"But that's… 11400 attack points?!" Dennis exclaimed, unknowingly taking a step back.

"Alright!" Saya started to smile wide as her hands tightened. "Celina's totally got this!" Yuya exclaimed.

Lunalight Liger Dancer gracefully slashed Trapeze Magician with her sword. She then swirled around and pierced his body with her claws. As Liger Dancer stood with her back on Trapeze Magician, his body began to crack and finally exploded. Dennis didn't reach much; he just didn't know how. He just let the shockwave from the explosion blow him several feet away.

DENNIS LP: 7700 = 0

"Celina, you did it!" Saya almost jumped for joy before she quickly ran over to Celina and held her hands while tearing up, relieved she had won. "I... I'm so glad! I was starting to believe you would be taken away like Lulu was... If that happened... I... I just..."

Celina smiled at the girl's concern for her. Patting the girl's hands that held hers, she then proceeded to take Fairy Dusk out of her Duel Disk and handed it to Saya. "Sorry about using it without permission. I just forgot to return it to you this morning."

Saya stared at the card but didn't take it. Instead, she moved Celina's fingers to cover the card in her palm. "You can have it. I have another one, so you can keep this one."

Saya smiled at Celina while fidgeting. "When you used it, it felt as if I was lending my strength to you. Think of it as... my apology for my past behavior towards you..."

In response to the fidgeting figure of Saya's, Celina flicked the girl's forehead, earning a wince from the girl who covered her head with her hand while questioningly looking at Celina.

"How about... I think of it as a sign of our friendship?" Celina asked while holding up the card to her. To her joy, Saya beamed and nodded.

Yuya and Iggy smiled briefly at the girls' exchange before turning to Dennis again, only to find out he was gone.

"We'll have to fight him again soon." Iggy stated while looking at the spot where the Duel Academy agent was last seen. "Yeah..." Yuya agreed.

The group continued on their shift. Unbeknownst to them, Dennis was closer than they thought. He was recovering from being defeated inside one of the nearby ruined buildings with a familiar, white-uniformed female and two black-uniformed personnel.

"Can't believe you lost." Captain Perceptra told him as the Buster Brigadiers that were with them tended to him. "Heh. Well, I didn't expect Celina could Contact Fusion Summon." Dennis replied.

Watching the Lancers and their friends walk away from a broken window, Captain Perceptra thought of something. "Indeed. It shouldn't be possible for her." She then silently chuckled. "That is, IF she wasn't specially gifted like the rest of the Chaos Inquisition and her doubles."

As the Lancers entered the Duel Sanctuary, they were unaware that they were still being watched by Perceptra. She was now on the roof of a different ruined building than the one she and Dennis were in. And she was a good distance away from the Lancers so they wouldn't be able to see her. Strangely, she somehow knew where they were from that distance.

Pressing a button on her Duel Disk, she reported in. "Commander Phoenix. Start making preparations. It's time to finally end this little game of cat and mouse."
