Battlefield - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
As the embers of the nearby flames surrounded them, Shay, Kite, Gong, and Sylvio panted heavily as they defeated another squad of Duel Academy soldiers. But it was soon replaced with another one.
"Dang it!" Shay cursed. "Just how many of these Duel Academy cronies are there?!"
Before a duel could commence, however, engine sounds interrupted them. Multiple sounds could be heard, all coming from engines. That sounds were loud enough to make everyone in the vicinity stop what they were doing and look in the direction of the source of the noise. In that direction, shadowed figures were moving in on them, the roar of engines getting louder and louder as they got closer. The Lancers' eyes widened as they recognized the sounds.
One of the shadowed figures jumped high, allowing everyone to see just what it was. It was a white motorcycle-like vehicle with a white-colored rider. He landed in-between the Lancers and the Duel Academy Forces. Shay, Sylvio, and Gong recognized the driver all too well.
"Yugo!" The three of them said in unison.
The Synchro Dimension turbo duelist took off his helmet and smiled at them. "Looks like we got here just in the nick of time!"
More Duel Runners, all piloted by Sector Securities, came and placed themselves between the Duel Academy forces and the Resistance. Before anyone realized it, the whole area was surrounded by Sector Securities, all with their Duel Runners and ready to duel.
"Finally, we meet again."
The three Lancers who had been stuck in the Xyz Dimension turned and were relieved to see their leader, Declan Akaba, had arrived with the rest of their friends: Riley and Moon Shadow, even Jack Atlas and Crow Hogan.
"'Bout time you slowpokes got here!" Sylvio was delighted to see them again. "Our apologies for the delay, but we had some business to do before we came here." Moon Shadow apologetically replied. "But you can relax now! 'Cause we're here!" Crow energetically told them, raring to go.
In response to the declaration, a female Buster Brigadier pointed at the new arrivals with her ARC Technology blade. "Take 'em down! No exceptions!" With that, the Fusion Warriors from Duel Academy charged.
Declan fixed his glasses before he activated his Duel Disk, followed by Riley and the rest of their allies. Raising his head a bit, Declan aided his voice loud enough to be heard by all the Securities, the Resistance, and the rest of the Lancers. "Listen up! Don't relent! We're ending Duel Academy's occupation of the Xyz Dimension right here and now!"
The single order from Declan was all that their allies needed to spring into action. The one-sided battle against the Resistance had now become a balanced one. Everyone scattered and rushed to help the exhausted Resistance members who were too tired to fight. Some went to protect the civilians after Kite informed them of it.
Moon Shadow, Jack, and Crow went to help Shay, Kite, and Iggy, respectively. Declan and Riley, on the other hand, approached Gong and Sylvio as Yugo dealt with the Duel Academy forces that were about to engage the exhausted Lancers.
"I take it you have something to share with me?" Declan asked them as he took notice of their faces. "Boy, do we ever!" Gong said as he took a breath of relief. "Besides the fact we've not only been able to make some new friends here, we learned that Yuya's immune to being turned into a card." "Not only that!" Sylvio interrupted. "We also discovered that his pendant is able to turn those who were sealed into cards back to normal!" The Akaba siblings couldn't hide their shock.
Just like them, Declan pondered the same thing. "I must remember to ask Yuya if he can lend us his pendant so we can figure it out a way to restore everyone on a massive scale." "Where is Yuya?" Riley asked. "He went with Celina to help evacuate the surviving citizens. They were supposed to help us after they got them to safety. So... Gong guesses they're at where the Duel Sanctuary was... before it got totaled?"
Declan looked in the direction Gong was pointing. It wasn't clear, but he could make out two figures. Assuming it was them, the two Akabas decide to check on them, feeling that something was strange. Gong and Sylvio didn't stop their leader and the young child, knowing Declan must've thought of something if he didn't join the fight right now.
"There! Done!"
Gong and Sylvio turned and saw that Yugo Head already defeated the Duel Academy forces. But surprised them the most of all was that Yugo began handcuffing them. "Hey, what are you doing?" Sylvio asked.
"Just making sure they aren't much of a threat." Yugo explained to them as he finished handcuffing the last of his unconscious opponents.
"But where'd they come from?" Sylvio asked, pointing to the discussed item. Yugo brought out a gadget that was shaped like a hand-sized cylindrical remote. "We got these from the Securities, of course! But Declan had his men from the Standard Dimension make some improvements before we came here. So now, they can jam the Interdimensional Travel Technology that sends them back to Duel Academy long enough for us to cuff 'em! The best part, once the cuffs are on, they can't duel or teleport! So we don't have to worry about them returning to take their revenge on us."
"Makes sense." Gong nodded in agreement.
"Then quit talking and give me one!" Sylvio whined as he held out his hand, demanding a handcuff from Yugo.
Just as Yugo was about to give him one, Gong pushed them both to the ground, avoiding an explosion that was caused by nearby duel. Even though they knew he meant well, Yugo and Sylvio felt as if were being crushed by Gong's bigger body.
"Gong... if you don't mind... could you... get off?" Sylvio asked, voice muffled by Gong's body and having his face nearly pressed into the ground. "Yeah. We can't... breathe!" Yugo agreed while tapping his hand several times, struggling to get out and breathe.
"Sorry about that." Gong let them go after making sure they were safe from any other incoming attacks.
Yugo and Sylvio breathed sighs of relief. "For minute there, I could've sworn I saw a huge river with pretty flowers." Yugo exhaled. "Yeah. Now I know what Yuya must feel when he's hugged by Gong." Sylvio agreed.
Unfortunately, their relief was cut short when Yugo rubbed his head. Their eyes widened, particularly Yugo and Sylvio's, when they found that Sylvio's right wrist was handcuffed with Yugo's left. The first thing that came to mind when they realized this? Panic.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Yugo yelled at Sylvio. "That's my line!" Sylvio yelled back, face pale.
"I must've accidentally pushed the button and handcuffed us when we were pushed!" Yugo realized.
"Gong's so sorry!" Gong did a dogeza repeatedly to his two friends. "This is all Gong's fault!"
"N-never mind about that now, Gong! A-anyway, you know how to un-cuff us, right? So do it!" Sylvio told Yugo.
Yugo uncharacteristically scratched the back of his head, nervously chuckling. Not only that, but he was also not looking at them. It was the kind of look that you give when you're about to break something to someone that they didn't want to hear.
"Thing is, these cuffs can only be removed by entering a code from your Duel Disk... and well..., I kinda don't know it...?" Yugo smiled sheepishly at Gong and Sylvio as he explained the problem.
"WHAT?! Then how are we supposed to duel like this?! Why would you even have this, if you can't even remember the code?! You idiot!" Sylvio poked Yugo's forehead angrily.
"I'm an idiot?! How would you expect me to memorize an insanely long code?! It wasn't like I was expecting that this would happen, anyway!" Yugo retorted, offended by Sylvio's remark about him.
"Yuya~?"
The two cuffed boys stopped their bickering when they saw that Gloria and Grace had entered the scene. Grace was looking expectedly at Yugo but was saddened that the boy with an uncanny resemblance wasn't the dueltainer that she was hoping for when she looked closely at him.
"Bummer. Not Yuya... too bad..." Grace pouted.
"Never mind that." Gloria scolded her sister for her action before turning to their opponents. "You Lancers may have been able to escape before, but this time we're going to turn you into cards."
Gong stepped in. "You two stand back. Gong's got this."
"No way! I'm dueling too!" Yugo and Sylvio said at the same time, which caused them to look at each other in disagreement. To the astonishment of Gong, they continued to say the same thing at the same time.
"What? You? Not happenin'! I'm going to defeat them! With my deck!"
As the two escalated into another argument, mainly about whose deck would be used, Gong looked at the twin sisters with a tired and exasperated expression.
"Time out for a bit?" Gong suggested, which Grace agreed to do with a "why not", since the sisters seemed to be amused by the bickering of the two duelists and wouldn't mind seeing it a little bit more.
"That there's enough, you two!" Gong separated Yugo and Sylvio. "Here's what's happenin'. They already know about our decks since Gong and Sylvio's dueled 'em already. So you're both gonna use Yugo's deck!"
Yugo smiled triumphantly at Sylvio when Gong settled the matter as the egotistical duelist from the Standard Dimension growled in annoyance. "Fine. We'll use Yugo's." Sylvio begrudgingly agreed. "But only if I add a few of my cards as well."
After some time of rearranging of decks, they were ready. They were using Sylvio's Duel Disk since Yugo couldn't activate his. What they had agreed to was that Yugo would hold, draw, and place the cards for them.
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
[Let's duel!]
"Gong's gonna go first!" Gong declared as he drew his starting hand. "Gong summons Superheavy Samurai Flutist(ATK: 500/DEF: 1000/LV: 3)! And thanks its special ability, Gong can now bring out Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei(ATK: 1000/DEF: 3500/LV: 8) in Defense Mode!" Gong traded in his Flutist for his non-Extra Deck ace.
"Gong's turn's done!" "Oh? You're not gonna Synchro Summon?" Grace asked the Heavystrong duelist. "Gong's got a plan." He simply replied.
"Too bad that no matter what, you'll lose!" Gloria arrogantly told him as she drew a card to begin her turn. "And to make progress on that, I'm activating Polymerization to fuse Amazoness Queen(ATK: 2400/DEF: 1800/LV: 6) and Amazoness Swords Woman(ATK: 1500/DEF: 1600/LV: 4)! Now these two warriors of the jungle will combine into one and harness the untamed power of the jungle itself! I Fusion Summon! Amazoness Empress(ATK: 2800/DEF: 2400/LV: 8)!
And thanks to my spell, Empress' Banquet, my Empress now has an extra 1000 attack points until the end of this turn!"

"Amazoness Empress, attack his Big Benkei and show them that armor isn't everything to a warrior!" Amazoness Empress leaped into the air, sword raised and yelling.
"By sendin' Superheavy Samurai Soulfire Suit(ATK: 800/DEF: 800/LV: 2) to the graveyard, Gong can prevent Benkei from gettin' trounced by your Empress!" A red barrier generated by Soulfire Suit protected Big Benkei as Amazoness Empress brought down her blade on the Machine-Type monster.
"You may have saved your monster, but can you say the same for your life points? Or did you forget that my Empress still deals you damage even if your monster is in Defense Mode?" Gloria taunted as Empress' sword pierced through the barrier and slashed at the Superheavy Samurai.
GONG AND SYLVIO/YUGO LP: 4000 = 3700
Benkei kneeled from the recoil of the attack as the cost of its survival kicked in. "And now, Big Benkei loses 800 defense points due to that being the cost of using Soulfire's ability." Gong explained as Benkei lost defense points after the battle was over.

"I'll admit this, you've improved your tactics a bit since our last duel." Gloria admitted as she ended her turn. "But it still won't be enough to defeat us."
"We'll see about that! I draw!" Yugo declared as he drew a card. Yugo looked at the cards in his hand, which the majority was made up of his cards. "All right, first we'll play - "
Before Yugo made the move, Sylvio interrupted him as he pointed to another card. "Hang on! Wouldn't it be better if we started with this card first?" Yugo halted his move to speak with Sylvio. "No, it's better with this card. We still don't know what they're planning."
"Excuse me, I already dueled them, so I know them better than you do!" Sylvio argued, due to the fact that he had a past experience with the twin sisters. Yugo twitched, refusing to back down. "This is my deck! Therefore, I know how to use it the best! You added just a few of your pendulum cards and we only have one, right now!" "So what? I know how our opponents' decks work, so I should know the best course of action!" Sylvio argued back, annoyance growing in his tone too. "You already lost to them! We're dueling them with a deck you're not familiar with, so acting without my advice is suicide!" Yugo pointed out.
"That's enough out of the both of ya! Will you just make your move already?!" Gong yelled at the bickering linked duelists. They were beginning to test his patience.
"Those two would, like, totally make a great idiotic comedy duo." Grace chuckled. "Focus, Grace." Gloria scolded.
"Now, before I was rudely interrupted, I was gonna let Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice(ATK: 300/DEF: 1500/LV: 3) take to the air." Yugo summoned his rocketing pyramid tuner monster after the argument was stopped.
"And now that it is, I can bring out this little fly guy, say hello to Speedroid Taketomborg(ATK: 600/DEF: 1200/LV: 3)!" Yugo special summoned Taketomborg in Attack Mode as he had planned. The Machine-Type transformed from its bamboo copter mode and into its humanoid robot mode as it was summoned, as usual.
"I tune level 3 Tri-Eyed Dice with level 3 Taketomborg! I Synchro Summon, Hi-Speedroid Kendama(ATK: 2200/DEF: 1600/LV: 6)!"
"So he's a synchro duelist too, huh?" Gloria noted in her mind as she saw Yugo's monster.
"Not bad... for a pathetically oversized toy!" Grace mocked, ticking off Yugo.
"It's not pathetic!" Yugo raged at the younger sister. "Especially after I banish Taketomborg from my graveyard to deal you 500 points of damage!" As Yugo banished his Speedroid, Kendama shot a yellow blast near the ground where the Tyler Sisters were standing.
TYLER SISTERS LP: 4000 = 3500
"Now I place one card facedown and end my turn." Yugo ended his turn with a smug look at Sylvio. "See? I knew what I was doing. If you went along with your plan..." "Alright, I'll admit it. Your idea may have been a better one." Sylvio reluctantly admitted, looking away from the Synchro duelist.
"It's my turn! I draw!" Grace started her turn. "I'm also activating Polymerization, so I can totally, like, fuse Amazoness Tiger(ATK: 1100/DEF: 1500/LV: 4) and Amazoness Spy(ATK: 800/DEF: 1200/LV: 3)! Get set for some paws, claws, and like, roarin' roars! I Fusion Summon! Amazoness Pet Liger(ATK: 2500/DEF: 2400/LV: 7)!
Say goodbye to your Kendama, 'cause when Liger is on the attack, she gains 500 extra attack points!" Grace pointed to Yugo's synchro monster as her ace monster lunged at the kendama-like monster as her special ability gave her an extra 500 attack points.

"An Action Card!" Sylvio and Yugo said at the same time. Sylvio ran to the one he saw on the left, while Yugo ran for the one he saw on the right. The result was that the one was pulled back by the other and they both fell to the ground, due to the fact they were bound together.
Gong, who had an urge to face palm but held it, kicked a rock that caused another rock that held an Action Card to fall towards Yugo's direction. As he hoped, Yugo grabbed it and spent no time wasted in activating it.
"I activate the Action Spell Evasion! So my monster is able to evade your feline's attack!" Hi-Speedroid Kendama flew to the side fast enough to evade Liger's pounce.
"That wasn't bad, but not great. Like, it wasn't even cool." Grace reviewed their move as she set one card facedown to end her turn. She seemed to be amused by the hilarious display of Yugo and Sylvio as they began shouting at each other again.
Amazoness Pet Liger(ATK: 3000 = 2500/DEF: 2400/LV: 7)
The two conjoined at the wrist duelists both stood up as they continued to bicker. "When I said there was an Action Card, I meant the left!" Sylvio pointed in the opposite direction from the way Yugo went. "But I saw one closer to us to the right, so it would've been quicker if we went that way!" Yugo shouted back. "It doesn't matter if we are fast enough!" " We're handcuffed together, you moron!" "Don't call me a moron!"
"Knock it off, you two!" Gong yelled at the two of them, instantly shutting them up. Gong took a deep breath. "These two really know how to test Gong's patience." "Next turn, discuss your plan of action before you act!"
Gong then faced the sisters. "As for Gong, it's time for Gong to have a go!" Gong's draw created a gust that blew up the dust in front of him. "Gong summons Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter(ATK: 300/DEF: 600/LV: 2)!
And now... Gong's Trumpeter tunes with Gong's Big Benkei to make some real big-league pain! Gong Synchro Summons... Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo(ATK: 2400/DEF: 3800/LV: 10)!" Gong summoned his ace synchro monster in Defense Mode.
"Gong's Susanowo is allowed to attack while it's in Defense Mode! And it's got its sights on your Liger!"
"Have you forgotten already our Empress won't let her faithful pet perish?" Gloria reminded Gong as Susanowo slashed its naginata and created a shockwave that struck Amazoness Pet Liger. The Beast-Type fusion monster growled from the attack after it was pushed back. And even though the feline wasn't destroyed, the Tyler Sisters still took damage.
TYLER SISTERS LP: 3500 = 2200
"Gong ends his turn." Gong then quickly turned his attention to the cuffed duelists that were his partners in this duel. "Now listen here, both of ya! Once your turn starts, do it properly, or else Gong's gonna properly pummel you!"
Gloria raised her eyebrow. "Oh? What makes you so sure that you'll have another turn?" Gloria then drew her card, beginning her turn. "Especially since my Amazoness Empress has set her sights on your Hi-Speedroid Kendama!" Amazoness Empress rushed forward, raising her sword at the kendama-like monster.
"An Action Card is over there, Yugo!" Sylvio spotted an Action Card that was attached to a piece of debris behind them. This time, both in agreement, they dashed for it together.
Yugo picked it up and activated it. "I play... the Action Spell Miracle! Not only is my monster safe now, but we take half the damage!"
GONG AND SYLVIO/YUGO LP: 3700 = 3400
"You may have survived that attack, but my sister's Pet Liger will continue the onslaught!" Gloria attacked again, with her sister's monster this time.
"Don't think so! My trap High-Speed Rescue forces your cat to go on the defensive and you get hit with 600 points of damage!" Yugo used his facedown card, which forcibly made Pet Liger switch into Defense Mode.
Grace cracked a smile as she pointed down to her facedown card. "I activate... the trap card Amazoness Wicked Mirror! Now you will be the one taking damage from your trap, not us!"
"Say what?!" Yugo exclaimed as a shockwave from his trap was reflected back to him, Sylvio, and Gong.
GONG AND SYLVIO/YUGO LP: 3400 = 2800
"Tough luck, boys. Now you totes can't use effects to deal us damage! Instead it will, like, totally be you guys who take it!" "That's right!" Gloria confirmed her sister's statement as she set a card facedown, ending her turn. "So now you are able only to damage us by battling us."
"I see... so you decided to go with an opposite strategy than what you pulled off with Yuya and Shay, huh?" Sylvio clicked a tongue as he confirmed what they were trying to do.
"They went up against Yuya and Shay?" Yugo asked. "Yeah, and they were able to avenge me and Gong's loss by using a spell card that turned their battle damage into effect damage after they deployed a trap combo that rendered battle damage totally useless." Sylvio explained.
"But now it's reversed. We can only inflict damage to them through battling their monsters." Yugo stated the difference to Sylvio.
"Exactly. And that, we can handle!" "You read my mind!"
"It's my turn!" Yugo and Sylvio looked at the card they just drew. Sylvio smiled as it was one of his pendulum cards. "Yugo, you better let me take the lead this time! You already had your time with a spotlight!"
"Fine. But you better not mess up my plans!" Yugo told Sylvio as he let the latter take the lead.
"All right! It's now time for Sylvio the Superstar to shimmer and shine!" Sylvio raised his arms, but also brought Yugo's arm too, since he was handcuffed to him. "Ow! Hey, what are you trying to pull?! My arm off?!" Yugo protested as he forcibly brought the arm down.
"This is my time in the spotlight! This is how I dueltain! So just play along and I'll share the spotlight with you, okay?" Sylvio did his usual pose while imagining that his lackeys from the Standard Dimension were right him.
Yugo sweatdropped. "Sorry... but I gotta say that Yuya is way better at this than you are."
Sylvio felt an arrow that stabbed him through the chest as he heard of those words come out of Yugo's mouth.
"Gong agrees. Yuya's better." Gong agreed with Yugo's statement, causing another mental arrow to stab through Sylvio.
"I, too, have to agree. Yuya Sakaki is much more enjoyable than you." Gloria surprisingly added. Sylvio mentally knelt to the ground as the arrow that stabbed him by that complement split into two.
"Like, there's no denying that when it comes to dueltaining, Yuya's totes the best!" Grace fondly stated as she remembered her duel with the Yuya. Mainly how he had wowed her with his moves. (And possibly won her heart from the way she was acting.)
And that was the last straw for Sylvio as five mental arrows stabbed him to the chest. This caused him to fall on his face, anime-style and all white.
"U-ugh...! Yuya... Compared to him... I am the star of the show... and have more fans than he ever will...!" Sylvio stood up as he tried to retain his cool, but his smile was saying otherwise.
"Actually, it's the other way around." Yugo straightforwardly told his accomplice, who refused to accept that fact.
"S-shut up! Let's just start our turn, and MY spectacular show! So pipe down!" Sylvio was inwardly crying waterfall tears but was trying to prevent himself from doing it in real life.
"Fine, fine." Yugo lazily answered while holding the pendulum cards for Sylvio to use as the dueltainer spoke.
"Putting all pleasantries aside, it's about time we introduce the real star of the show! I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 Abyss Actor - Evil Heel(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 8/PS: 1) and Scale 8 Abyss Actor - Funky Comedian(ATK: 300/DEF: 200/LV: 1/PS: 8)! Now I can summon a medley of monsters between levels 2 and 7, all at the same time! I Pendulum Summon... Appearing for an encore performance against our opponents, Abyss Actor - Superstar(ATK: 2500/DEF: 1800/LV: 7/PS: 3)! And to add some feminine power to our side of the field, Abyss Actor - Leading Lady(ATK: 1500/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)!"
Superstar did his usual bow routine when he was summoned. Leading Lady, on the other hand, winked as it yelled a high-pitched "hi" and winked as she did a cute magical girl-like pose.
"And as you can see, my Leading Lady is much more alluring than your brutish-lookin' bodybuilders!" Sylvio boasted energetically as an egotistical dueltainer might would.
Gloria sighed with a widening smirk. "Watch it. Or have you forgotten that these girls have a beauty of their own?"
Sylvio raised his brow in a questioning manner, as it was obvious that he was confused on what she meant by that.
"Because we have them on the field, I'm able to activate the trap, Amazoness Hall. So when you special summon monsters, we gain life points equal to their attack points. And remember, Pendulum and Synchro Summoning counts as special summoning." Gloria activated the trap that she used in their duel against Shay and Yuya.
"Not again!" Gong groaned.
TYLER SISTERS LP: 2200 = 6200
Sylvio, unfazed by this development continued his turn. "So what? My Superstar is using his special ability to grab an Abyss Script from my deck to get ready for his next big role."
Sylvio showed the Abyss Script spell card that he was able to grab from his deck thanks to his Superstar's special ability. "I'm really gonna put you girls in your place by activating Abyss Script - Rise of the Abyss King! Now I can destroy monsters on your field up to the total number of Abyss Actors on my field that I have in Attack Mode!"
"What?!" Gloria exclaimed. Because he controlled two Abyss Actors in Attack Mode, Sylvio could destroy both of their monsters now.
"By the way, if you didn't know, actors are very protective of the roles. Because I control level 7 Abyss Actor - Superstar, you can't do anything to stop my spell! It's bye-bye for your Amazoness Queen and Liger!" A purplish blast came from the card as Sylvio pointed at the two Amazoness monsters. As soon as the blast hit them, the ace monsters of the two twins were gone.
"Do you think you can, like, get rid of our monsters so easily?" Grace asked as she picked a card from her hand. "By discarding Amazoness Witch Doctor(ATK: 1500/DEF: 1800/LV: 4) from my hand, I can pay 500 life points for both of our monsters! And then I can, like, totally bring them back!"
TYLER SISTERS LP: 6200 = 5200
The spirit of the monster that Grace sent to the graveyard appeared in the field. It was an Amazoness monster that wore a tribal mask and had white voodoo-like tattoos all over her body. The outfit consisted of a black sleeveless tribal bra, a belt with a goat skull for the buckle to hold a tan grass skirt, and feathery shoulder decorations. Her burgundy hair was tied up in a wild ponytail with an ornamental ceremonial bone. The staff she carried had a feathered skull for its head.
Slamming the end of the staff on the ground, Amazoness Witch Doctor chanted some kind of tribal language as a portal to the graveyard appeared. The two Amazoness monsters that were destroyed by Sylvio's spell card returned to the field, via the Graveyard Portal. As soon as they did, the spirit disappeared.
"So they're back for an encore performance, so what?" Sylvio jeered at the sisters as he pointed his thumb at Yugo. "My partner's gonna make 'em singin' their swan song again!"
"What?" A confused Yugo pointed to himself as he looked at Sylvio.
"C'mon now! Now, normally I wouldn't wanna do this, but since we're handcuffed and all, I'm gonna allow you to deliver the grand finale." Sylvio motioned his head to the cards in Yugo's hand. Following the action, Yugo looked at the cards and spied a certain card. Yugo smiled back at Sylvio as he finally got what was he was thinking.
"Trust me. I can bring the thunder and the sparkle!" Yugo stated as he picked the card. "And the tuner monster Speedroid Red-Eye Dice(ATK: 100/DEF: 100/LV: 1) is gonna make sure of that!

Yuya, still dejected and unresponsive to Celina's calls to him, started to react when he noticed his deck case glowing. Yuya blinked and took out the card that glowed. His Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
"Odd-Eyes..."
"Why's your Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon glowing?" Celina looked at the card in wonder.
Yuya's vision became blinded as the light became brighter. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a familiar green place and was facing the Tyler Sisters with their respective ace monsters beside them. Beside him were Gong and Sylvio with their respective ace monsters. And above him, Yugo's ace monster, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Yuya's chest felt lighter.
Battlefield - Heartland City - Xyz Dimension
Yugo smiled before declaring confidently, "Time to finish this duel." He and Sylvio pointed at their opponents together, both wearing the same smiles.
"It's showtime!" Yugo and Sylvio said in unison.
"That's Yuya's catchphrase!" Gong protested at the two for copying his best friend's common saying.
"Please, how do you expect to win this duel in one turn? Your monsters don't have enough points to destroy both our monsters!" Gloria gave them a pitying look.
"Maybe alone, perhaps! But by working together, we're stronger!" Yugo, synchronized with Yuya, said together.
"And to prove it, Susanowo's gonna put the pressure on your Amazoness Empress!"
"That's what you think! Our Pet Liger's special ability so totally makes that a no!" Grace declared as Liger roared ferociously.
"That cat can roar all it likes, it doesn't matter. 'Cause Clear Wing's special ability silences your Liger's roar and destroys it." "Like, no way!" Grace exclaimed in surprise as the white synchro dragon unleashed the blinding light from its wings that eliminated Amazoness Pet Liger. "Reverse Revenge!"
"And that's not all! Now, Clear Wing gains the destroyed monster's attack points!"

Yugo's dragon allowed Susanowo to continue its attack on Empress, destroying the last remaining monster the twins had.

"Let's bring this to a show rising finish!" Yugo and Sylvio said in perfect dueltainer behavior harmony.
Gong wiped his eyes as he thought for a second that he just saw Yuya's form imposed with Yugo's. Blinking, he then got a thought in his head. "Yugo's actin' all strange ever since he got Clear Wing Synchro Dragon out and about. He's almost acting as if he were Yuya. But then again, there has been weirder things goin' on."
"This is the big finale! With an all-out attack!"
Leading Lady's whip glowed as she swirled it like a gymnast doing a rhythmic ribbon routine would. As she did so, pumpkins and other Halloween-like icons appeared to surround Gloria and Grace. Abyss Actor - Superstar, who Sylvio had equipped with Abyss Script - Fantasy Magic, produced a purple sphere of energy in each of his hands. He then shot the purple spheres, causing the Halloween-like icons to explode, creating small fireworks that quite tickled the sisters. Lastly, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon soared high into the sky, its wings glowing bright. It then flew right back down, whirling its body to become a green whirlwind.
The Tyler Sisters stood in shock and awe. They were stunned as the white synchro dragon flew straight toward them. It was like their duel with Yuya. They were once again mesmerized by the spectacular world of dueltaining. Unable to move, they just watched as Clear Wing flew through them, the wind that surrounded its body blowing them away and causing the remaining icons to explode, making bigger and brighter fireworks.

"That's a wrap!" Both Yugo and Sylvio bowed politely, marking the end of the duel.
Gong sweatdropped a bit at the duo. Essentially, he had been rendered a third wheel in the duel. "What do ya know, they're actually a pretty combination..."
Grace, who was lying on the ground next to her sister, covered her eyes with her arm and sighed at their defeat for a second time in a row against the Lancers. But she wore a smile of satisfaction despite that fact. "This dueltaining thing is, like, totes amazing... but Yuya does a better job of it."
"I guess I can't deny that anymore." Gloria sighed, conceding to her little sister's admiration for dueltaining. But she was looking away in embarrassment, with a slight blush on her face as she tried to look like she was still denying it.
"THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE!" Yugo and Sylvio tried to place an arm on each other's shoulder in celebration, but they then remembered that they were handcuffed. Instead, Gong pulled them in once again into a bone-crushing hug as he happily cried for their victory, much to the protest of the other two. They were being suffocated by his hug and quickly demanded that they be released from it as they couldn't breathe.
"Crow just solved your problem. Here's the code." Gong showed the two shackled boys the code that Crow had sent them via Gong's Duel Disk once they told him their situation. Yugo wasted no time in freeing him and Sylvio.
"Finally! Sweet freedom!" Sylvio said in a melodramatic way while rubbing his fist upward.
"Don't relax yet. We still have more of these Duel Academy creeps to beat." Yugo reminded the Abyss Actor duelist.
"Yugo's right. But first, we gotta - " Gong start his suggestion when he saw that the Tyler Sisters were gone.
"They've vamoosed!" Sylvio remarked. "How'd they recover so quickly?!"
"Let's just hope they won't show up again for a while." Yugo sighed.
Professor's Chamber - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
"So... Zuzu Boyle is here in the Fusion Dimension?" Leo asked Dennis, who he kneeled as he gave his report.
"Affirmative, sir. Apologies for my tardiness. One after another happened and it wound up slipping my mind. Allow me to take responsibility by capturing her and taking down the traitors."
"Very well. You get one last chance to redeem yourself." Leo relented. "However..." Madame Chaos, who was by the Professor's side, fanning herself with her fan, added menacingly. "...this is your last chance. We will not tolerate another failure from you a third time. Take a squad with you and hunt them down."
"Pardon my asking, but is Yuri joining us? Is it not part of his duty to do so?" Dennis asked, quite surprised at the exclusion of the one who usually did the fetching of the dimensional female doppelgängers.
Leo explained his reasoning. "Yuri's... preoccupied at the moment. Once he's finished, I will send him to capture Celina. Because of your recent failure, I believe he will be more suited to this task than you are."
Dennis laughed softly, seeing truth in the Professor's words after his defeat at the girl's hands. "You've got a point there..."
"Return once you've captured Zuzu Boyle. Do not fail me anymore than you have now." Leo repeated in a cold tone.
Dennis stood up and saluted him. "As you command, Professor."
Unbeknownst to anyone else, Madame Chaos silently and covertly looked at him in smugness beneath her expressionless mask. "You don't know the half of what you do, Professor. All you do is just play into my true master's vengeful hands."
