A/N - So this started out a story between myself and my friend Erin, after that it kinda took on a life of its own.

Disclaimer - I don't own Harm or Mac; if I did everything would be way different.

Harm and Mac's Apartment

North of Union Station

It was just another casual Friday night, Harm was in the kitchen making dinner for the two of them. Since Mac had found out she's pregnant with twins her doctor had put on limited duty, which was fine with her. It gave her the chance to do a lot of reading.

"Sweetheart..." No response "Sarah.." Still no response.. "MAC..." She jumped throwing her book towards Harm...

"Jesus Harm you scared the shit out of me..Where is my book?"

Harm started looking around, "Found it.." He picked it up, glancing at the cover. "Interesting reading you've chosen. The Union Soldier and the Southern Belle.."

"My doctor told me I need to keep my blood pressure low, and Harriet recommend this book. I must say for a work of fiction it's very good."

Deciding to sit down next to his wife, he handed her back the book. "So why don't you fill me in while the lasagna cooks."

"Okay.." Mac was about to start filling him in,

he stoped her, by starting to nibble on her neck, placing his hand on her thigh , he ran it up her leg. She glanced over at him.

"Just what do you think your doing?"

"I'm relaxing you.."

"I think your getting me ready for little harm'..."

"Hey now! I thought we agreed to call him something else?"

"Well you shot down , Hammer, Throttle, banana. So I had to come UP with something else."

"Anything but 'little harm'..."

Mac thought for a minute; "TomCat.."

"What? Why?"

"Because your my big big big fighter pilot."

"You know what, let's just table this for another night, now I do believe you are about to tell me all about your book."

"Fine you win for right now; however I reserve the right to bring UP this line of questioning again later tonight."

Arching both his eye brows he gave his wife a look." Just what does that mean?"

"In simple terms, Captain. When your in my Chambers I'm in charge. My courtroom my rules.. And the judge reserves the right to review all evidence in the case. And I do mean all the evidence."

"Your honor, my client has a reputation to uphold."

Rubbing her rather large belly, "I'm pretty sure your clients reputation is well intact."

"Even so..." Ding...

"Looks like your saved by the dinner bell..."

Standing up, Harm glanced back. "I can listen still while I finish up in here. If you want to start telling me about your book."

"Trying time change the subject Rabb?"

"Who me? I wouldn't do that."

"Umm. Yes you would, especially when you know you're loosing."

Grabbing at his heart. "I feel hurt and wounded."

"You should; it's cause of you that I'm stuck her reading all these romance novels that Harriet keeps sending over. "

"Well why don't you get started filling me in while I finish up in here. "

"Fine but don't say I didn't warn ya."

" Duly noticed.." Harm went about getting their dinner ready; while Mac started telling him about her book..

( The next parts will be in about the fictional book that Mac is reading called The Union Solider and the Southern Belle - )

It was a dark time in the Deep South. Tension was high especially between the southern plantation owners and The Union Soldiers occupying the local towns, while most of the towns people had no real dealings with them. A few did however ; one of these men was Joseph MacKenzie. He owned a rather large plantation on the outside of Atlanta Georgia.

He had absolutely no use for The Union. In his mind they they have destroyed his way of life. His beloved son Matthew had been killed in the war and now he was left with his two daughters, Sarah ( his oldest ) and Chloe ( his youngest ). His survival depend upon the arrangement he was about to make with a cut throat businessman named Mr Brumby.

( Well here is the first part.. Thoughts please )
