Chapter 31: Saving Etheria, Part 3

Catra is holding the fallen Adora.

"Adora. Adora, stay awake", Catra cried out.

Adora looks at Catra, and Catra looks up to the Heart.

"I'm sorry", Adora said as she felt weak.

Catra touches Adora's face and Adora touches her hand, but it falls weakly back to the ground.

"Adora! Adora", Catra said.

Adora closes her eyes and she passes out.

….

She opens them to see her reflection in a waterfall and gasps. She squints at her reflection. Her hair is down and she is in a long white dress.

She is in a palace on Naboo!

Adora muttered, "w-where am I?"

"Adora!"

Adora turned to see Sam and Hordak approaching her.

Next to them was a brunette girl and a boy that looked like a perfect blend of Sam and Hordak.

Adora asked softly, "Sam? Hordak?"

"Aunt Adora", the girl and the boy said as they hugged Adora.

Adora saw that in Sam's arms was a green alien-like baby?

Adora muttered, "w-what's going on?"

"Adora."

Adora heard the faint whisper of her name.

"Aunt Catra!"

"Hi Rey, Aiden", Catra said as she walked towards them.

Adora muttered, "C-Catra? You look…."

Catra said, "amazing, I know. But you don't have to tell me that."

"Adora."

The faint whisper rang in her ears again.

"Hey cut it out!"

It's one of two boys who looks like the son of Prime and Ashla. He is running from his mother, who wants him to wear a necklace.

"Come back here, this instant young man", Ashla shouted.

The boy said, "no way! That necklace is too girly!"

Adora wanted to chuckle at the sight, but there was this lingering feeling of fear and doubt in the back of her mind.

"My dear, calm down, if our son doesn't want to wear that necklace, then accept it", Prime said as he placed his hand on his wife's shoulder.

Ashla sighed and groaned as their son ran over to his brother.

Catra chuckled and said, "Ash and Sokka are always getting into trouble, hmm?"

"Adora!"

Ash stuck out his tongue as he hid behind his twin.

"Rey! Aiden!"

Luke and Leia along with Han walked in.

"Come on, you two are going to be late", Leia said as she held Han's hand.

Hordak asked, "don't you two want to become Jedi Knights?"

Ashla sighed.

Prime said, "these little scamps can't stay kids forever, my love."

"Adora!"

"Are you kidding PaPa, I and my brother have been waiting for this day", Rey said with a smile on her face.

Sam said, "oh! Our little angels will be off saving the galaxy in no time! Come on everyone, let's go!"

As they all began to walk off, Adora trailed behind them as the voice whispering in her head got louder.

"Adora!"

And louder.

"Adora!"

And louder!

"ADORA!"

Adora closes her eyes and everything fades out. She opens them to see her reflection in a waterfall and gasps. She squints at her reflection. Her hair is down and she is in a long white dress.

"Adora!"

Adora opens her eyes. Catra is leaning into the mysterious green room through a brightly lit opening in the ceiling. She is crying.

"Please, you have to wake up", Catra shouted with tears falling down her face.

Then it changes to Catra sitting in front of the Heart, holding Adora's body.

"You can't give up. You have never given up on anything in your life. Not even on me", Catra said to Adora, "so don't you dare start now!"

Adora's green restraints shatter and she struggles as she reaches back towards Catra, their hands trying to meet one another, but just barely missing.

"It's too late. I've failed", Adora said softly with tears in her eyes.

Catra looks back with fear.

"No! No", Catra cried in fear.

The scene changes to Catra holding Adora's body close to her.

"I've got you. I'm not letting go", Catra said as she held Adora close to her.

The scene changes back to the mysterious green room. Catra keeps reaching and trying to meet hands with Adora, but just missing.

"Don't you get it? I love you. I always have. So please, just this once….", Catra said desperately.

Catra and Adora finally intertwined hands.

"Stay!"

The scene changes back to Catra clutching desperately onto Adora's body.

The Heart starts flashing and flickering with green lightning, brightening the room. Adora summons her shield and Catra looks back at it with relief.

Adora leans forward and looks at Catra.

Adora asked softly, "you…. Love me?"

"You're such an idiot", Catra said with a smile on her face as she shook her head. She looks at Adora with surprise. Adora is looking at her with a fond smile on her face.

"I love you too", Adora confessed with a smile.

Catra smiles and grabs Adora's head softly.

Then they kiss.

The Failsafe starts glowing as Adora and Catra start to glow in rainbow colors and Adora's hair starts to levitate. She transforms into She-Ra!

….

Meanwhile, everyone felt the planet shake under their feet, and Sigma noticed the green light beginning to fade!

He yelled, "what!? No! No! This cannot be! She's not strong enough to do this! What could give her this strength!?"

Sam and Hordak looked at one another, and said in unison, "true love."

The scene then moves to the glowing silhouette of She-Ra, who is walking towards the battlefield, and with every step, grass, plants and life spring up under her.

She shines and comes into view. She smiles, Bow and Glimmer smile back.

She looks up at Horde Sigma's ship and lifts her sword. It starts glowing immensely and she yells. A giant bolt of light encases Horde Sigma's ship, turning it into a humongous sky tree.

She sticks her sword in the ground and a wave of life and light comes out from it, covering the whole planet in the life it once possessed.

Sigma yelled in rage as he pointed at She-Ra and yelled, "my Horde army! Attack her! Kill She-Ra!"

As the clones ran at her, She-Ra pointed her sword at all of them and yelled, "they are your slaves no longer!"

A bright beam of light hit the clones, and they all stopped in their tracks, looking around them in slight confusion.

"Don't stand there! Kill She-Ra", Sigma screamed in anger.

The clones all turned to glare at Sigma in anger. He took a surprised step back as one yelled, "you're not our master! You're less than that! You're…. You're…."

Another yelled, "you're earwax!"

Sigma gasped as all the clones yelled, "YOU'RE EARWAX!"

Rex asked, "what's happening to the clones?"

Slash said, "I think she did what Sam and the others did for us. She gave them free will."

Horde Sigma grunts in shock and goes to back up. but he trips, She-Ra walks up.

"Though all is reduced to rubble, Sigma shall rise again. So it has been, and so it always shall be", Sigma said as he refused to accept defeat.

She-Ra stopped him in his tracks and said, "not this time. And not ever again. It's time for Sigma, and the Horde, to end!"

Then to the shock of the others, spirits of the force began to appear.

Antauri, Mara, Mignola, Qui Gon Jinn, Revan, and countless other Jedi from the past, whether they be from the old Republic, or during the clone wars, they surrounded She-Ra and Sigma!

"Master Qui Gon", Obi Wan shouted.

"Antauri", Sam shouted.

"Mace Windu", Kit Fisto shouted.

"That's Revan", Shaak Ti said in surprise.

"And all the Jedi from the past", Leon said.

Bow asked, "why are they here?"

Sam said, "why else? To knock the king from his throne."

"Indeed", Qui Gon said.

"It's impossible! You're all dead", Sigma screamed in anger.

Mignola said, "a wise Jedi once said…."

Mara finished with, "... no one's ever really gone."

"We, along with Adora, will make sure you never come back, Sigma", Antauri said.

Sigma growled, "no! No! No! No!"

She-Ra places her palm upon Sigma's forehead, as the spirits follow suit, their hand overlapping hers.

A bright yellow light engulfs them. She-Ra opens her eyes and they are glowing.

Sigma yelled, "no! No! NOOOOO-!"

But a bright light engulfed all of them, making everyone shield their eyes from the sight before them!

"Never shall you return Sigma", Revan said.

"And harm anyone ever again", Windu said.

She-Ra yells, "this is where your reign of terror comes to an end!"

As the bright light managed to grow even brighter, Hordak saw something.

A memory from years ago.

He was cradling a baby Adora, who smiled at him as if he were her only family. A father or big brother.

The vision ended as Sigma screamed in utter rage and pain.

"NOOOOO", Sigma screamed as his soul erupts from his body.

The soul began to burn into ashes, as if it were paper in an oven set to the hottest setting imaginable!

Leia asked, "is he gone?"

Luke said, "I…. I think so…?"

The light faded as the spirits vanished without a trace that they had even been there in the first place.

She-Ra slowly transformed back into Adora as she saw the clone in front of her looking around with wide eyes.

"It's okay, you're free", Adora said softly to the clone.

The other clones helped their brother up as Adora turned to her friends, no, her family.

Castaspella is seen helping her brother Micah stand up.

Micah asked softly as he woke up, "Glimmer?"

"Hi, Dad", Glimmer said as tears were in her eyes.

"I…. You…. Hello. I'm your dad", Micah said with a soft smile.

Glimmer then hugged her father.

"Dad", Glimmer said softly.

Spinnerella and Netossa are standing together, Spinnerella laughs and Netossa grabs her and dips her, they kiss.

Swift Wind walks by, and so do Melog and Emily.

Hamill is on Melogs back as he beeps.

"Thank the maker, everything is alright", Threepio said in relief.

Luminara along with the others arrive at the scene.

Sam and Leon share a hug before Ahsoka pulls her husband into a kiss.

When the kiss ends, Hordak walks over and extends his hand to Leon. He smirks and hugs Hordak instead.

Hordak is surprised, but smiles at the gesture.

As Scorpia has just finished hugging several of the others, Catra approaches her.

"Hey, Scorpia. Look, I….", Catra said before she is engulfed in a signature Scorpia hug.

"Ooh, there it is", Catra said with a smile.

"You know I'm a hugger", Scorpia said with a smile.

"Group hug", Perfuma said. She hugs Scorpia's back, and Frosta hugs Catra's. They all laugh as they fall to the ground.

Sea Hawk is carrying Mermista and she is blushing. They are looking into each other's eyes.

Then Prime is seen walking by with Ashla holding onto his arm.

Mermista asked, a bit confused, "so are we all just, like, okay with this?"

Entrapta then hugs Emily, she then turns to see Obi Wan approaching her.

"Obi Wan", Entrapta said softly.

He said, "I'm so glad to see you safe. I wasn't sure what I'd do if Sigma had hurt you."

Entrapta gave a big smile as she hugged Obi Wan, her hair wrapping around both of them.

Hordak Jr then wrapped his arms around Obi Wan and Entrapta.

He exclaimed, "oh, what a glorious day!"

The three of them chuckled as they hugged.

The Bad Batch all were with their clone brothers.

"Sigma is gone at last", Fives said with a smile on his face.

"Everyone is now free from his control", Omega said with a smile on her face.

Shaak Ti was with the other Jedi.

Bane was speaking with a few of the clones.

Leia and Han shared a kiss.

Luke then walked over to Sam and Hordak.

Hamill, and R2 were behind him.

Luke said, "Uncle's? Um, I'm sorry we-"

He didn't get farther as Sam and Hordak hugged Luke wirh tearful smiles on their faces.

Leia smiled as she went over to her uncle's with Han behind her.

Luke smiled as he returned the hug.

During this, Perfuma stood in front of Scorpia with a huge blush on her face.

Scorpia asked, "what's wrong?"

Perfuma replied, "may I please try something?"

Scorpia said, "uh…. Sure?"

Perfuma gulped and quickly kissed Scorpia on the lips before scrambling back with a very embarrassed expression.

Scorpia then smiled and she kissed Perfuma again.

"About time those two kissed", Leia said with a smile on her face.

"I always saw how Perfuma was close to Scorpia", Luke said with a smile.

Sam chuckled and said, "I guess love is in the air?"

Hordak said, "speaking of love…."

The four of them glanced at Catra as she stared at Adora. Adora was standing near the edge of a cliff, looking over what her power had done to bring Etheria back to its former beauty.

Adora looks back to her and extends her hand. Catra grasps it and walks closer. They touch foreheads, Catra is purring.

"It's over. He's gone", Adora said with a smile.

"Good riddance", Catra said as she purred.

They two wrapped their arms around one another in a warm embrace, their heads on each other's shoulders.

Adora whispered, "I love you…. My kitten."

Catra whispered back, "and I love you…. My warrior."

Glimmer and Bow laugh at each other and then yell, tackling Catra and Adora. They all roll down a hill together laughing.

That night there would be a vast celebration across the entire planet.

For the war against the Horde had finally ended, thanks to our brave heroes, who risked life and limb to save the day!

Leia asked her uncle's, "what should we do now?"

Sam said, "well, I think we all deserve a week to rest and recover from all of this. Give us time to prepare."

Glimmer said, "agreed. In about a week, Etheria joins the rebel alliance against the Galactic Empire."

Prime said, "as will what's left of my forces."

"Agreed", everyone said as they stared upon the horizon.

Luke and Leia then went over and hugged Adora.

As Sam and Hordak stood next to her, she said, "ya know, I'm glad you guys crashed on this planet."

Sam glanced at Hordak and said, "same here."

Hamill ran up and jumped on top of Sam's shoulders, making the others chuckle.

"Our family just got bigger", Luke said with a smile.

Hordak said, "indeed. And I'm sure that it will only get bigger, as time goes on."

Everyone smiled as they kept staring at the horizon.

Friends. Family. Former enemies.

All took pride and relief in their actions.

For the war for Etheria, after nearly two decades of bloodshed and pain, was finally at an end.

With better and brighter things sure to happen.

But unknown to our heroes….

….

…. Vader stood as still as a statue on the bridge of his most prized flagship.

"My lord!"

Vader said without looking at the officer, "any updates?"

The officer said, "yes, my lord. It appears that our spies have discovered that the conflict on Etheria has ended. As per your instructions, we have our forces ready to engage them as soon as they join the battle with the rebel alliance."

"Good", Vader said with a smile.

The officer asked, "what should we do, once we get to the planet?"

Vader said, "let them rest for now. Let them savour their victory. And when I give the word, we launch an invasion. Draw them all away from the capital of the planet. And I will personally apprehend the Skywalker children."

"Understood my lord", The officer said as he went back to his post.

Vader could not stop smirking as he imagined how shocked his twin will be when he and the empire arrive on Etheria.

It would only be a matter of time.

For he will get his children back.

But maybe not in the way he thought he would….
